| 1 | Remineralization of enamel caries by an amelogenin-derived peptide and fluoride in vitro显示文摘Dental caries is one of the most common oral diseases in the world.This study was tantamount to investigate the combinatory effects of an amelogenin-derived peptide(called QP5)and fluoride on the remineralization of artificial enamel caries.The peptide QP5 was synthesized and characterized,and the binding capability of the peptide on hydroxyapatite(HA)and demineralized tooth enamel surface was analysed.Then,the mineralization function of the peptide and fluoride was studied through the spontaneous mineralization testing and remineralization on enamel caries in vitro.First,the novel peptide QP5 could bind on the hydroxyapatite and demineralized tooth enamel surfaces.Second,QP5 can transitorily stabilize the formation of amorphous calcium phosphate and direct the transformation into hydroxyapatite crystals alone and in combination with fluoride.In addition,compared to blocks treated by peptide QP5 alone or fluoride,the sample blocks showed significantly higher surface microhardness,lower mineral loss and shallower lesion depth after treatment with a combination of QP5 and fluoride at high or low concentrations.The peptide QP5 could control the crystallization of hydroxyapatite,and combinatory application of peptide QP5 and fluoride had a potential synergistic effect on the remineralization of enamel caries. | Longjiang Ding Sili Han Kun Wang Sainan Zheng Wenyue Zheng Xiu Peng Yumei Niu Wei Li Linglin Zhang | 2020 | Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,3: | 6 |
| 2 | Nitrogen/sulfur co-doped hollow carbon nanofiber anode obtained from polypyrrole with enhanced electrochemical performance for Na-ion batteries显示文摘Polypyrrole and sulfur derived hollow carbon nanofibers co-doped with nitrogen/sulfur are synthesized and applied as the anode for Na-ion batteries(NIBs). Successful doping of hollow carbon nanofiber with nitrogen and sulfur is confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning and tunneling electron microscopy. Further analysis certifies that sulfur doping has a significant impact in improving the elecctrochemical performance of the carbon-based anodes for NIBs. The obtained N-doped hollow carbon nanofiber and N/S co-doped hollow carbon nanofiber exhibit similar morphologies but different electrochemical behavior. | 3 | Toxic Effects of Three Heavy Metallic Ions on Rana zhenhaiensis Tadpoles显示文摘Heavy metal pollution is widespread in some areas of China and results in contamination of land, water, and air with which all living organisms interact. In this study, we used three heavy metallic ions(Cu2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+) to assess their toxicity effects on mortality, blood biomarker and growth traits(body length and body mass) of Rana zhenhaiensis tadpoles. The results showed that the toxicity levels of the three metallic ions were different when conducted with different experiment designs. For acute toxicity tests, Cu2+ was the most toxic with the highest tadpole mortality. The mortalities of tadpoles showed significant differences among the treatments at the same exposure time endpoints(24, 48, 72 and 96h). Results from repeated measures ANOVA indicated that metallic ion concentration, exposure time and their interactions significantly affected the mortalities of R. zhenhaiensis tadpoles. Also, the toxicity effects of all binary combinations of the three metallic ion treatments showed synergism. The half lethal concentrations(LC50) decreased with increasing exposure time during the experimental period, and the safe concentration(SC) values of Cu2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ were different from each other. Combined and compared LC50 values with previous data reported, it is suggestes that the toxicity levels of metal pollution to anuran tadpoles should be species-and age-related. For blood biomarker tests, Zn2+ was the most toxic with the highest total frequencies of abnormal erythrocytic nucleus. All three metallic ions caused higher abnormal erythrocytic nucleus compared with control groups. In a chronic toxicity test, Pb2+ was the most toxic with lowest growth traits. Survival rate(except for 18 days), total body length and body mass showed significant differences among the treatments. | 6 | Interleukin-13 promotes cellular senescence through inducing mitochondrial dysfunction in IgG4-related sialadenitis显示文摘Immunoglobulin G4-related sialadenitis(IgG4-RS)is an immune-mediated fibro-inflammatory disease and the pathogenesis is still not fully understood.The aim of this study was to explore the role and mechanism of interleukin-13(IL-13)in the cellular senescence during the progress of IgG4-RS.We found that the expression of IL-13 and IL-13 receptorα1(IL-13Rα1)as well as the number of senescent cells were significantly higher in the submandibular glands(SMGs)of IgG4-RS patients.IL-13 directly induced senescence as shown by the elevated activity of senescence-associatedβ-galactosidase(SA-β-gal),the decreased cell proliferation,and the upregulation of senescence markers(p53 and p16)and senescence-associated secretory phenotype(SASP)factors(IL-1βand IL-6)in SMG-C6 cells.Mechanistically,IL-13 increased the level of phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 6(p-STAT6)and mitochondrial-reactive oxygen species(mt ROS),while decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential,ATP level,and the expression and activity of superoxide dismutase 2(SOD2).Notably,the IL-13-induced cellular senescence and mitochondrial dysfunction could be inhibited by pretreatment with either STAT6 inhibitor AS1517499 or mitochondria-targeted ROS scavenger Mito TEMPO.Moreover,IL-13 increased the interaction between p-STAT6 and c AMP-response element binding protein(CREB)-binding protein(CBP)and decreased the transcriptional activity of CREB on SOD2.Taken together,our findings revealed a critical role of IL-13 in the induction of salivary gland epithelial cell senescence through the elevated mitochondrial oxidative stress in a STAT6–CREB–SOD2-dependent pathway in IgG4-RS. | Mengqi Zhu Sainan Min Xiangdi Mao Yuan Zhou Yan Zhang Wei Li Li Li Liling Wu Xin Cong Guangyan Yu | 2022 | International Journal of Oral Science2022,14,3: | 1 |
| 7 | Risk factors for atypical endometrial hyperplasia in infertile women:possible association with polycystic ovary syndrome显示文摘Objective:Endometrial hyperplasia is considered as a precursor of endometrial carcinoma,in which oncogenic potential is low in hyperplasia without atypia,but high in atypical hyperplasia.The objective of this study was to identify the risk factors for atypical endometrial hyperplasia in infertile women.Methods:Fifty four infertile women with endometrial hyperplasia,which were selected from a large cohort of 2 098 women who desired for the future childbearing in our center,were diagnosed by hysteroscopy with directed biopsies or dilation and curettage (D&C),including 44 with hyperplasia without atypia,10 with atypical hyperplasia.Clinical characteristics were recorded in terms of age,body mass index (BMI),parity,insulin resistance,polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Statistical comparison was made between women with hyperplasia without atypia and atypical hyperplasia.Logistic regression analysis was employed to assess the contribution of PCOS,obesity and insulin resistance to atypical hyperplasia.Results:The incidence of endometrial hyperplasia in infertile women was 2.57% (54/2098),which included 10 women (0.48%) were diagnosed as atypical hyperplasia.PCOS in women with atypical hyperplasia (70%,7/10) was significantly higher than those of hyperplasia without atypia (27.27%,12/44).Stepwise regression analysis showed that PCOS contributed maximally to atypical endometrial hyperplasia in infertile women.Conclusion:PCOS is an independent risk factor for atypical endometrial hyperplasia in women with infertility.The infertile women with PCOS are at an increased risk for atypical endometrial hyperplasia and endometrial cancer. | Lu Qun Shen Huan Tian Li Zhu Sainan Chen Xi | 2008 | 现代妇产科进展2008,17,2: | 0 |

| 15 | Expression and Purification of Human Coagulation Factor X in Mammalian CHO-DG44 Cells显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to obtain a Chinese hamster ovary cell line that stably expresses recombinant human coagulation factor X(rhFX),and to induce efficient expression of the target gene with different concentrations of methotrexate(MTX).[Methods]PCR was performed to obtain the rhFX gene,and a recombinant expression plasmid pOptiVEC-rhFX was constructed and subjected to double restriction endonuclease digestion and sequencing identification.CHO-DG44(DHFR-)cells were transfected by the liposome method,and the target protein was purified by affinity chromatography and detected by SDS-PAGE electrophoresis and Western blot.A cell line with efficient and stable expression of the target gene was obtained by increasing the concentration of MTX to select positive clones.[Results]PCR yielded a 1509 bp rhFX sequence,and the results of double digestion and sequencing showed that the constructed pOptiVEC-rhFX plasmid was correct.After transfection of cells,MTX significantly increased protein expression.When MTX reached 1.0μmol/L,the expression efficiency of the target protein was(9±0.27)μg/ml.The purity of the target protein purified by affinity chromatography was 93%,which could be used for subsequent experiments.The expression efficiency of rhFX in eukaryotic mammalian cells was improved by increasing MTX concentration,and an affinity chromatography purification process for the target protein was preliminarily established.[Conclusions]The results of this study provide data support for the expression and purification of rhFX,and will lay a solid foundation for the development of drugs related to rhFX. | Jinwu CHEN Yi LI Mei LIU Sainan WANG Zilong XIAO Junjie XIA Lulu QI | 2023 | Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Structural Geology and Chronology of Shear Zones along the Shangdan Suture in Qinling Orogenic Belt,China:Implications for Late Mesozoic Intra-Continental Deformation of East Asia显示文摘The Shangdan suture zone(SDZ)in the Qinling orogenic belt(QOB)is a key to understanding the East Asia tectonic evolution.The SDZ gives information about convergent processes between the North China Block(NCB)and South China Block(SCB).In the Late Mesozoic,several shear zones evolved along the SDZ boundary that helps us comprehend the collisional deformation between the NCB and SCB,which was neglected in previous studies.These shear zones play an essential role in the tectonic evolution of the East Asia continents.This study focuses on the deformation and geochronology of two shear zones distributed along the SDZ,identified in the Shaliangzi and Maanqiao areas.The shear sense indicators and kinematic vorticity numbers(0.54–0.90)suggest these shear zones have sinistral shear and sub-simple shear deformation kinematics.The quartz’s dynamic recrystallization and c-axis fabric analysis in the Maanqiao shear zone(MSZ)revealed that the MSZ experienced deformation under green-schist facies conditions at∼400–500℃.The Shaliangzi shear zone deformed under amphibolite facies at∼500–700℃.The^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar(muscovite-biotite)dating of samples provided a plateau age of 121–123 Ma.Together with previously published data,our results concluded that QOB was dominated by compressional tectonics during the Late Early Cretaceous.Moreover,we suggested that the Siberian Block moved back to the south and Lhasa-Qiantang-Indochina Block to the north,which promoted intra-continental compressional tectonics. | Falak Sheir Wei Li Le Zhang Basil Alabowsh Liuqing Jiang Li Liang Sainan Gao Shair Baz Umar Ashraf | 2024 | Journal of Earth Science2024,35,2: | 0 |

| 20 | Effect of VEGF/GREDVY Modified Surface on Vascular Cells Behavior显示文摘We synthesized B-He/B-GREDVY and immobilized them on avidin-coated surfaces.To examine the immobilization of molecules in the material, the following experiments were performed:fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC) fluorescence staining, water contact angle and atomic force microscopy(AFM) measurements. Besides, the biological evaluation experiments were also performed, such as platelets adhesion and activation, the culturing of smooth muscle cells(SMC) and endothelial cells(EC). These experimental results show that the modified surfaces could prevent the hyperproliferation of SMC, and promote the proliferation and migration of EC and EPC. Furthermore, the adding of VEGF improved the EC adhesion in a dynamic environment.
