1Stratigraphy of the Triassic-Jurassic Boundary Successions of the Southern Margin of the Junggar Basin,Northwestern China显示文摘The Triassic-Jurassic(Tr-J) boundary marks a major extinction event,which(~200 Ma) resulted in global extinctions of fauna and flora both in the marine and terrestrial realms.There prevail great challenges in determining the exact location of the terrestrial Tr-J boundary,because of endemism of taxa and the scarcity of fossils in terrestrial settings leading to difficulties in linking marine and terrestrial sedimentary successions.Investigation based on palynology and bivalves has been carried out over a 1113 m thick section,which is subdivided into 132 beds,along the Haojiagou valley on the southern margin of the Junggar Basin of the northern Xinjiang,northwestern China.The terrestrial Lower Jurassic is conformably resting on the Upper Triassic strata.The Upper Triassic covers the Huangshanjie Formation overlaid by the Haojiagou Formation,while the Lower Jurassic comprises the Badaowan Formation followed by the Sangonghe Formation.Fifty six pollen and spore taxa and one algal taxon were identified from the sediments.Based on the key-species and abundance of spores and pollen,three zones were erected:the Late Triassic(Rhaetian) Aratrisporites-Alisporites Assemblage,the Early Jurassic(Hettangian) Perinopollenites-Pinuspollenites Assemblage,and the Sinemurian Perinopollenites-Cycadopites Assemblage.The Tr-J boundary is placed between bed 44 and 45 coincident with the boundary between the Haojiagou and Badaowan formations.Beds with Ferganoconcha(?),Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha bivalve assemblages are recognized.The Ferganoconcha(?) bed is limited to the upper Haojiagou Formation, Unio-Ferganoconcha and Waagenoperna-Yananoconcha assemblages are present in the middle and upper members of the Badaowan Formation.The sedimentary succession is interpreted as terrestrial with two mainly lake deposit intervals within Haojiagou and Badaowan formations,yielding fresh water algae and bivalves.However,the presence of brackish water algae Tasmanites and the marine-littoral facies bivalve Waagenoperna from the Badaowan Formation indicate that the Junggar Basin was influenced by sea water caused by transgressions from the northern Tethys,during the Sinemurian.SHA Jingeng Vivi VAJDA PAN Yanhong Linda LARSSON YAO Xiaogang ZHANG Xiaolin WANG Yaqiong CHENG Xiansheng JIANG Baoyu DENG Shenghui CHEN Siwei PENG Bo 2011Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2011,85,2:7
2Morphology of the anterior mesorectum:a new predictor for local recurrence in patients with rectal cancer显示文摘Background:Pre-operative assessment with high-resolution magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is useful for assessing the risk of local recurrence(LR)and survival in rectal cancer.However,few studies have explored the clinical importance of the morphology of the anterior mesorectum,especially in patients with anterior cancer.Hence,the study aimed to investigate the impact of the morphology of the anterior mesorectum on LR in patients with primary rectal cancer.Methods:A retrospective study was performed on 176 patients who underwent neoadjuvant treatment and curative-intent surgery.Patients were divided into two groups according to the morphology of the anterior mesorectum on sagittal MRI:(1)linear type:the anterior mesorectum was thin and linear;and(2)triangular type:the anterior mesorectum was thick and had a unique triangular shape.Clinicopathological and LR data were compared between patients with linear type anterior mesorectal morphology and patients with triangular type anterior mesorectal morphology.Results:Morphometric analysis showed that 90(51.1%)patients had linear type anterior mesorectal morphology,while 86(48.9%)had triangular type anterior mesorectal morphology.Compared to triangular type anterior mesorectal morphology,linear type anterior mesorectal morphology was more common in females and was associated with a higher risk of circumferential resection margin involvement measured by MRI(35.6%[32/90]vs.16.3%[14/86],P=0.004)and a higher 5-year LR rate(12.2%vs.3.5%,P=0.030).In addition,the combination of linear type anterior mesorectal morphology and anterior tumors was confirmed as an independent risk factor for LR(odds ratio=4.283,P=0.014).Conclusions:The classification established in this study was a simple way to describe morphological characteristics of the anterior mesorectum.The combination of linear type anterior mesorectal morphology and anterior tumors was an independent risk factor for LR and may act as a tool to assist with LR risk stratification and treatment selection.Xiaojie Wang Zhifang Zheng Min Chen Jing Lin Xingrong Lu Ying Huang Shenghui Huang Pan Chi 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,135,20:2
3Self-supported hierarchical porous Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12)/carbon arrays for boosted lithium ion storage显示文摘The development of fast rechargeable lithium ion batteries(LIBs)is highly dependent on the innovation of advanced high-power electrode materials.In this work,for the first time,we report a sacrificial NiO arrays template method for controllable synthesis of self-supported hierarchical porous Li_(4)Ti_(5)O_(12)/C(LTO/C)nanoflakes arrays,for use as fast rechargeable anodes for LIBs.The ultrathin(2-3 nm)carbon layer was uniformly coated on the LTO forming arrays architecture.The hierarchical porous LTO/C nanoflakes consisted of primary cross-linked nanoparticles of 50-100 nm and showed large porosity.Because of the enhanced electrical conductivity and accelerated ion transfer channels,the well-designed binderfree porous LTO/C nanoflakes arrays exhibited notable high-rate lithium ion storage performance with smaller polarization,better electrochemical reactivity,higher specific capacity(157 mAh g^(-1) at the current density of 20C)and improved long-term cycling life(96.2% after 6000 cycles at 20C),superior to the unmodified porous LTO arrays counterpart(126 mAh g^(-1) at 20C and 88.0%after 6000 cycles at 20C).Our work provides a new template for the construction of high-performance high-rate electrodes for electrochemical energy storage.Jun Liu Aixiang Wei Guoxiang Pan Shenghui Shen Zhiming Xiao Yu Zhao Xinhui Xia 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,3:2

7Tumor neoantigens: Novel strategies for application of cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Neoantigen-targeted immunotherapy is a rapidly advancing field that holds great promise for treating cancer.The recognition of antigens by immune cells is a crucial step in tumor-specific killing,and neoantigens generated by mutations in cancer cells possess high immunogenicity and are selectively expressed in tumor cells,making them an attractive therapeutic target.Currently,neoantigens find utility in various domains,primarily in the realm of neoantigen vaccines such as DC vaccines,nucleic acid vaccines,and synthetic long peptide vaccines.Additionally,they hold promise in adoptive cell therapy,encompassing tumor-infiltrating cells,T cell receptors,and chimeric antigen receptors which are expressed by genetically modified T cells.In this review,we summarized recent progress in the clinical use of tumor vaccines and adoptive cell therapy targeting neoantigens,discussed the potential of neoantigen burden as an immune checkpoint in clinical settings.With the aid of state-of-the-art sequencing and bioinformatics technologies,together with significant advancements in artificial intelligence,we anticipated that neoantigens will be fully exploited for personalized tumor immunotherapy,from screening to clinical application.HANYANG GUAN YUE WU LU LI YABING YANG SHENGHUI QIU ZHAN ZHAO XIAODONG CHU JIASHUAI HE ZUYANG CHEN YIRAN ZHANG HUI DING JINGHUA PAN YUNLONG PAN 2023Oncology Research2023,31,4:1
8Chylous ascites has a higher incidence after robotic surgery and is associated with poor recurrence-free survival after rectal cancer surgery显示文摘Background:Postoperative chylous ascites is an infrequent condition after colorectal surgery and is easily treatable.However,its effect on the long-term oncological prognosis is not well established.This study aimed to investigate the short-term and long-term impact of chylous ascites treated with neoadjuvant therapy followed by rectal cancer surgery and to evaluate the incidence of chylous ascites after different surgical approaches.Methods:A total of 898 locally advanced rectal cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by surgery between January 2010 and December 2018 were included.The clinicopathological data and outcomes of the patients with chylous ascites were compared with those of the patients without chylous ascites.The primary endpoint was recurrence-free survival(RFS).To balance baseline confounders between groups,propensity score matching(PSM)was performed for each patient with a logistic regression model.Results:Chylous ascites was detected in 3.8%(34/898)of the patients.The incidence of chylous ascites was highest after robotic surgery(6.9%,6/86),followed by laparoscopic surgery(4.2%,26/618)and open surgery(1.0%,2/192,P=0.021).The patients with chylous ascites had a significantly higher number of lymph nodes harvested(15.6 vs.12.8,P=0.009)and a 3-day longer postoperative hospital stay(P=0.017).The 5-year RFS rate was 64.5%in the chylous ascites group,which was significantly lower than the rate in the no chylous ascites group(79.9%;P=0.007).The results remained unchanged after PSM was performed.The chylous ascites group showed a nonsignificant trend towards a higher peritoneal metastasis risk(5.9%vs.1.6%,P=0.120).Univariate analysis and multivariate analysis confirmed chylous ascites(hazard ratio=3.038,P<0.001)as an independent negative prognostic factor for RFS.Conclusions:Considering the higher incidence of chylous ascites after laparoscopic and robotic surgery and its adverse prognosis,we recommend sufficient coagulation of the lymphatic tissue near the vessel origins,especially during minimally invasive surgery.Xiaojie Wang Zhifang Zheng Min Chen Shenghui Huang Xingrong Lu Ying Huang Pan Chi 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,2:1
9Heavy metals in sediments of Yellow Sea and East China Sea: Chemical speciation,distribution,influence factor,and contamination显示文摘Metal species and the degree of environmental pollution are related to the hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),an important product of early diagenesis that can react with metals to form stable compounds.To investigate the eff ects of H_(2)S to metals and evaluate metal environment eff ect in the sediments of the East China Sea(ECS)and Yellow Sea(YS),geochemical characteristic and spatial distribution of nine heavy metals and H_(2)S profile were studied.Higher H_(2)S content and lower metal content was observed in the sediments 10 cm in depth in the North Yellow Sea and the west coast of South Korea.The pollution load index(I_(pl))indicates that the southern coast of Shandong Peninsula underwent moderate pollution(I_(pl)=1)of heavy metals and no heavy metal pollution appeared in other areas(I_(pl)<1).To some extents,the ecological risk of Cd and As enrichment was moderately severe in all stations.The chance of heavy metal combination to be toxic in ECS and YS during summer was 21%.In addition,correlation between H_(2)S content and metals in both solid and porewater phases was obvious,corroborating important eff ect of H_(2)S on metal distribution.Moreover,H_(2)S could aff ect the spatial distributions of heavy metals in porewater directly and be indicative of potential biological eff ects of combined toxicant groups in the study region.Miao ZHAO Shenghui ZHANG Haitao HAN Dawei PAN 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,4:0
10Targeting FAPα-positive lymph node metastatic tumor cells suppresses colorectal cancer metastasis显示文摘Lymphatic metastasis is the main metastatic route for colorectal cancer, which increases the risk of cancer recurrence and distant metastasis. The properties of the lymph node metastatic colorectal cancer(LNM-CRC) cells are poorly understood, and effective therapies are still lacking. Here, we found that hypoxia-induced fibroblast activation protein alpha(FAPα) expression in LNM-CRC cells. Gain-or loss-function experiments demonstrated that FAPα enhanced tumor cell migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, stemness, and lymphangiogenesis via activation of the STAT3 pathway. In addition, FAPα in tumor cells induced extracellular matrix remodeling and established an immunosuppressive environment via recruiting regulatory T cells, to promote colorectal cancer lymph node metastasis(CRCLNM). Z-GP-DAVLBH, a FAPα-activated prodrug, inhibited CRCLNM by targeting FAPα-positive LNM-CRC cells. 11Building better solid-state batteries with silicon-based anodes显示文摘Silicon(Si)-based solid-state batteries(Si-SSBs)are attracting tremendous attention because of their high energy density and unprecedented safety,making them become promising candidates for next-generation energy storage systems.Nevertheless,the commercialization of Si-SSBs is significantly impeded by enormous challenges including large volume variation,severe interfacial problems,elusive fundamental mechanisms,and unsatisfied electrochemical performance.Besides,some unknown electrochemical processes in Si-based anode,solid-state electrolytes(SSEs),and Si-based anode/SSE interfaces are still needed to be explored,while an in-depth understanding of solid–solid interfacial chemistry is insufficient in Si-SSBs.This review aims to summarize the current scientific and technological advances and insights into tackling challenges to promote the deployment of Si-SSBs.First,the differences between various conventional liquid electrolyte-dominated Si-based lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)with Si-SSBs are discussed.Subsequently,the interfacial mechanical contact model,chemical reaction properties,and charge transfer kinetics(mechanical–chemical kinetics)between Si-based anode and three different SSEs(inorganic(oxides)SSEs,organic–inorganic composite SSEs,and inorganic(sulfides)SSEs)are systemically reviewed,respectively.Moreover,the progress for promising inorganic(sulfides)SSE-based Si-SSBs on the aspects of electrode constitution,three-dimensional structured electrodes,and external stack pressure is highlighted,respectively.Finally,future research directions and prospects in the development of Si-SSBs are proposed.Zhefei Sun Quanzhi Yin Haoyu Chen Miao Li Shenghui Zhou Sifan Wen Jianhai Pan Qizheng Zheng Bing Jiang Haodong Liu Kangwoon Kim Jie Li Xiang Han Yan-Bing He Li Zhang Meicheng Li Qiaobao Zhang 2023Interdisciplinary Materials2023,2,4:0
