| 2 | Aqueous Zinc Batteries with Ultra‑Fast Redox Kinetics and High Iodine Utilization Enabled by Iron Single Atom Catalysts显示文摘Rechargeable aqueous zinc iodine(ZnǀǀI_(2))batteries have been promising energy storage technologies due to low-cost position and constitutional safety of zinc anode,iodine cathode and aqueous electrolytes.Whereas,on one hand,the low-fraction utilization of electrochemically inert host causes severe shuttle of soluble polyiodides,deficient iodine utilization and sluggish reaction kinetics.On the other hand,the usage of high mass polar electrocatalysts occupies mass and volume of electrode materials and sacrifices device-level energy density.Here,we propose a“confinement-catalysis”host composed of Fe single atom catalyst embedding inside ordered mesoporous carbon host,which can effectively confine and catalytically convert I_(2)/I^(−)couple and polyiodide intermediates.Consequently,the cathode enables the high capacity of 188.2 mAh g^(−1)at 0.3 A g^(−1),excellent rate capability with a capacity of 139.6 mAh g^(−1)delivered at high current density of 15 A g^(−1)and ultra-long cyclic stability over 50,000 cycles with 80.5%initial capacity retained under high iodine loading of 76.72 wt%.Furthermore,the electrocatalytic host can also accelerate the I^(+)↔I_(2)conversion.The greatly improved electrochemical performance originates from the modulation of physicochemical confinement and the decrease of energy barrier for reversible I−/I_(2)and I_(2)/I^(+)couples,and polyiodide intermediates conversions. | Xueya Yang Huiqing Fan Fulong Hu Shengmei Chen Kang Yan Longtao Ma | 2023 | Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8: | 2 |

| 4 | Analysis of Differences in Biochemical Components Between Yunnan and Kenya Tea Tree Varieties显示文摘With 16 Yunnan tea tree varieties and 5 Kenya tea tree varieties as test materials,the differences in biochemical components between Yunnan and Kenya tea tree varieties were compared and analyzed.The results showed that the coefficients of variation of tea polyphenols,amino acids,caffeine,water extract,gallic acid(GA),catechin(C),epicatechin(EC),epicatechin gallate(ECG),epigallocatechin(EGC),epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG)and total catechins in Yunnan tea tree varieties were greater than those in Kenyan tea trees.The contents of tea polyphenols,amino acids,caffeine,water extract,C,EC,EGC,EGCG and total catechins in Yunnan tea tree varieties had no significant differences from those in Kenyan tea trees varieties(P>0.05),while there were significant differences in the contents of GA and ECG between Yunnan tea tree varieties and Kenya tea tree varieties(P<0.05).Therefore,it could be predicted that GA and ECG might be one of the main characteristics of the differences in biochemical components between Yunnan tea tree varieties and Kenyan tea tree varieties.The cluster analysis results showed that when the genetic distance was 15,the 21 tested tea varieties could be divided into three groups with obvious biochemical differences. | Shengmei YANG Youyong LI Zhifen DUAN Yunxiu BAO Weiqiong SHANG Benying LIU Yichun TANG | 2020 | Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,4: | 2 |

| 7 | Antibacterial properties of extracts of Solidago canadensis and their potential use as dietary supplements in red swamp crayfish(Procambarus clarkii)显示文摘Canadian goldenrod(Solidago canadensis)is one of the most destructive invasive weeds in Southeastern China.To evaluate its potential application as dietary supplement in red swamp crayfish(Procambarus clarkii),the antibacterial properties of aqueous and ethanol extracts of this plant against three major pathogenic bacteria in crayfish aquaculture were examined.Inhibition zone tests and determination of minimum inhibitory concentration revealed that the extracts had lower antibacterial activity than extracts from two traditional medicinal plants that possess antibacterial properties,garlic(Allium sativum)and cortex phellodendri(Phellodendron chinense).However,they did exhibit greater antibacterial effects than extracts from another widely used medicinal plant,Sophora flavescens,and an aquatic weed,Alternanthera philoxeroides.Aqueous extracts of Canadian goldenrod gave greater inhibition than the ethanol extracts.Crayfish fed a diet with 2%these aqueous extracts exhibited significantly higher enzyme activity of alkaline phosphatase,catalase and phenoloxidase(P<0.05).Based on the results of this study,we conclude that aqueous extracts of Canadian goldenrod are highly promising for the development of new dietary supplement for use in crayfish aquaculture. | Manhong YE Lei ZHANG Jiaqi GE Haifeng SUN Jingjing NI Shengmei YANG Wanhong WEI | 2015 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2015,2,4: | 0 |
| 8 | Non-cytotoxic nanoparticles re-educating macrophages achieving both innate and adaptive immune responses for tumor therapy显示文摘Macrophages are important antigen-presenting cells to combat tumor via both innate and adaptive immunity,while they are programmed toM2 phenotype in established tumors and instead promote cancer development and metastasis.Here,we develop a nanomedicine that can re-educate M2 polarized macrophages to restore their anti-tumor activities.The nanomedicine has a core-shell structure to co-load IPI549,a PI3Kγinhibitor,and CpG,a Toll-like receptor 9 agonist.Specifically,the hydrophobic IPI549 is self-assembled into a pure drug nano-core,while MOF shell layer is coated for CpG encapsulation,achieving extra-high total drugs loading of 44%.Such nanosystem could facilitate intracellular delivery of the payloads but without any cytotoxicity,displaying excellent biocompatibility.After entering macrophages,the released IPI549 and CpG exert a synergistic effect to switch macrophages from M2 to M1 phenotype,which enables anti-tumor activities via directly engulfing tumor cells or excreting tumor killing cytokines.Moreover,tumor antigens released from the dying tumor cells could be effectively presented by the re-educated macrophages owing to the up-regulation of various antigen presenting mediators,resulting in infiltration and activation of cytotoxic T lymphocytes.As a result,the nanosystem triggers a robust antitumor immune response in combination with PD-L1 antibody to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis.This work provides a non-cytotoxic nanomedicine to modulate tumor immune microenvironment by reprograming macrophages. | Shengmei Wang Xuanjun Liu Minghua Yang Linqi Ouyang Jinsong Ding Shengfeng Wang Wenhu Zhou | 2022 | Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2022,17,4: | 0 |

The data layout has a huge impact on performance of storage systems. We survey three main kinds of data layout in traditional file systems: in-place update file system, log-structured file system, and copy-on-write file system. Each file system has its own strengths and weaknesses under different circumstances. | 12 | Effects of maternal stress induced by predator odors during gestation on behavioral and physiological responses of offspring in Brandt’s vole(Lasiopodomys brandtii)显示文摘Maternal effects play a crucial role in regulating populations of small mammals and anti-predator behaviors of offspring.The present study investigated the effects of maternal stress induced by exposure to predator odors during gestation on the behavioral and physiological responses of offspring in Brandt’s vole(Lasiopodomys brandtii).Effects included changes in growth,behaviors,hormone levels in serum,and fosB/ΔfosB mRNA and FosB/ΔFosB protein expression in the hypothalamus.Our results showed that when pregnant voles were exposed to cat and rabbit urine odors for 18 days(1 h/day),the weight of the female offspring decreased;however,the thymus and ovary indices increased,compared with the control group.Male offspring of voles exposed to cat odor spent more time exploring and foraging,and showed a decrease in corticosterone(CORT)compared with voles in the control group.Both fosB/ΔfosB mRNA and FosB/ΔFosB protein expressions were downregulated in the hypothalamus of male offspring in the cat odor-exposed group compared to that in offspring in the control group.However,the mRNA levels of fosB/ΔfosB in the hypothalamus of female offspring did not decrease in response to cat urine odor.Our findings suggested that maternal stress induced by predator odors during gestation restrained the growth of female offspring and increased the duration of exploring and foraging behaviors of male offspring by regulating the HPA axis,which,in turn,reduced the sensitivity of offspring to unfamiliar environments and increased their probability of becoming prey. | Chen GU Wenjia WANG Xiaoqian DING Shengmei YANG Aiqin WANG Baofa YIN Wanhong WEI | 2018 | Integrative Zoology2018,13,6: | 0 |
| 13 | High-performance broadband flexible photodetector based on Gd_(3)Fe_(5)O_(12)-assisted double van der Waals heterojunctions显示文摘Flexible photodetectors are fundamental components for developing wearable systems,which can be widely used for medical detection,environmental monitoring and flexible imaging.However,compared with 3D materials,lowdimensional materials have degraded performance,a key challenge for current flexible photodetectors.Here,a highperformance broadband photodetector has been proposed and fabricated.By combining the high mobility of graphene(Gr)with the strong light–matter interactions of single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)and molybdenum disulfide(MoS2),the flexible photodetector exhibits a greatly improved photoresponse covering the visible to near-infrared range.Additionally,a thin layer of gadolinium iron garnet(Gd_(3)Fe_(5)O_(12),GdlG)film is introduced to improve the interface of the double van der Waals heterojunctions to reduce the dark current.The SWCNT/GdIG/Gr/GdIG/MoS2 flexible photodetector exhibits a high photoresponsivity of 47.375 A/W and a high detectivity of 1.952×1012 Jones at 450 nm,a high photoresponsivity of 109.311 A/W and a high detectivity of 4.504×10^(12) Jones at 1080 nm,and good mechanical stability at room temperature.This work demonstrates the good capacity of GdIGassisted double van der Waals heterojunctions on flexible substrates and provides a new solution for constructing high-performance flexible photodetectors. | Ze Zhang Peirui Ji Shaobo Li Fei Wang Shengmei He Yiwei Cheng Shuhao Zhao Kaili Li Xiaomin Wang Yu Wang Shuming Yang | 2023 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,4: | 0 |
