2Resting-state connectivity in the default mode network and insula during experimental low back pain显示文摘Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies have shown that the insular cortex has a significant role in pain identification and information integration, while the default mode network is associated with cognitive and memory-related aspects of pain perception. However, changes in the functional connectivity between the default mode network and insula during pain remain unclear. This study used 3.0 T functional magnetic resonance imaging scans in 12 healthy subjects aged 24.8 ± 3.3 years to compare the differences in the functional activity and connectivity of the insula and default mode network between the baseline and pain condition induced by intramuscular injection of hypertonic saline. Compared with the baseline, the insula was more functionally connected with the medial prefrontal and lateral temporal cortices, whereas there was lower connectivity with the posterior cingulate cortex, precuneus and inferior parietal lobule in the pain condition. In addition, compared with baseline, the anterior cingulate cortex exhibited greater connectivity with the posterior insula, but lower connectivity with the anterior insula, during the pain condition. 8A natural allele of TAW1 contributes to high grain number and grain yield in rice显示文摘Grain number per panicle (GNP) is a complex trait controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTL),directly determining grain yield in rice.Identifying GNP-associated QTL is desirable for increasing rice yield.A rice chromosome segment substitution line (CSSL),F771,which showed increased panicle length and GNP,was identified in a set of CSSLs derived from a cross between two indica cultivars,R498 (recipient) and WY11327 (donor).Genetic analysis showed that the panicle traits in F771 were semidominant and controlled by multiple QTL.Six QTL were consistently identified by QTL-seq analysis.Among them,the major QTL q PLN10 for panicle length and GNP was localized to a 121-kb interval between markers N802 and N909 on chromosome 10.Based on quantitative real-time PCR and sequence analysis,TAWAWA1(TAW1),a known regulator of rice inflorescence architecture,was identified as the candidate gene for q PLN10.A near-isogenic line,NIL-TAW1,was developed to evaluate its effects.In comparison with the recurrent parent R498,NIL-TAW1 showed increased panicle length (14.0%),number of secondary branches (20.9%) and GNP (22.0%),and the final grain yield per plant of NIL-TAW1 was increased by18.6%.Transgenic experiments showed that an appropriate expression level of TAW1 was necessary for panicle development.Haplotype analysis suggested that the favorable F771-type (Hap 13) of TAW1was introduced from aus accessions and had great potential value in high-yield breeding both in indica and japonica varieties.Our results provide a promising genetic resource for rice grain yield improvement.Hua Yuan Zhengyan Xu Xueqin Tan Peng Gao Mengya Jin Wencheng Song Shiguang Wang Yunhai Kang Peixiong Liu Bin Tu Yuping Wang Peng Qin Shigui Li Bingtian Ma Weilan Chen 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,5:2

12Improving the efficiency of hybrid combination preparation in rice breeding by a modified flowering stimulant显示文摘The utilization of hybrid vigor is an important breakthrough in the history of rice breeding.To select the best hybrid combinations,breeders manually perform extensive testing of hybridizations between restorer and sterile lines,which is a laborious and time-consuming process.Here,we report that a modified flowering stimulant containing methyl jasmonate(MeJA),6-benzylamine adenine and kinetin effectively promotes the flowering and seed set of male-sterile rice lines.Different concentrations of the ingredients were tested to identify an optimal formulation.Seed quality evaluation indicated that hybrid seeds from plants sprayed with the flowering stimulant had a higher germination rate than seeds from plants prepared by glume-cutting.In summary,the modified flowering stimulant described in this study may help reduce the labor requirement associated with hybrid rice breeding and improve yield and efficiency.Ling Zheng Shangxing Zhang Fengyin Xue Yifan Yun Pin Liu Hua Yuan Weilan Chen Peng Qin Yuping Wang Bingtian Ma Shigui Li Yong Chen Bin Tu 2020International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3:1

14Genetic variation of the genus Kengyilia by ISSR markers显示文摘We investigated the genetic variation within 32 accessions distributed to 14 species and one variety by using ISSR(inter-simple sequence repeat)markers.The results showed that genetic variation was relatively higher among the accessions.A total of 593 bands were amplified by 12 ISSR primers,of which 535 bands(90.2%)were polymorphic.Eleven to 80 polymorphic bands were amplified from each prime,with an average of 44.6 bands.The interspecies GS(genetic similarity)value ranged from 0.430 to 0.866,and the average was 0.620.Cluster analysis showed that all accessions could be classified into 4 groups by ISSR markers.The different accessions in a species were clustered together,but they had genetic variation in molecular levels.There was obvious interspecies genetic variation.Species with similar morphological characteristics and from the same areas or neighboring geographical regions were clustered together and had close relationships.ISSR markers are useful in analyzing interspecies variation in Kengyilia.Li ZHANG Yonghong ZHOU Chunbang DING Ruiwu YANG Shigui LIU 2008Frontiers in Biology2008,3,2:0
15Toxicity of Diphenyl-pentenone Against Three Aphids (Homoptera: Aphididae) and Its Effects on the Esterases and Glutathione S-transferase显示文摘The most provocative aspect of this study is its original findings on the toxicity of diphenyl-pentenone(1,5-diphenyl-2-penten-1-one, DP) against the three kinds of aphids (Macrosiphum granarium Kirby, Lipaphis erysimi(kaltenbach), Schizaphis aurantiae(Fosc.)and the inhibitory effects of DP against detoxification enzyme system of the aphid (S aurantiae). The result of bioassay in the laboratory shows that the product has strong contact activity and very good antifeeding activity, with higher efficacy than anabasine and nicotine, two botanical aphidicides. The median lethal concentrations of the three products against the apterous adult (M granarium) are 175.85, 217.23 and 245.22 mg/L, respectively, at 24 h of pest treatment. DP is inferior to methomyl in contact assay but superior in antifeeding activity assay against the three aphides. DP has strong inhibitory effects on nonspecific esterases, carboxylesterase of aphid (S aurantiae), but it can not inhibit AchE. 16Isolation, Purification and Identification of the Spermicidal Active Compound from Neem Oil显示文摘Bioassay-directed fractionation of the chloroform extract of the neem oil has resulted in the isolation of one new esters derivatives named 2-Octadecanoic acid-4-Palmitic acid-2,4-Pentanediyl ester (compound 1). Its structure is deduced on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. 17Antagonism and Molecular Identification of an Antibiotic Bacterium BS04 Against Phytopathogenic Fungi and Bacteria显示文摘Through a modified agar well diffusion assay, antagonism of bacterium BS04 is tested. The data show that BS04 has antibiotic activity against phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria, including Phoma wasabiae Yokogi, Cochlibolus Heterostrophu, Exserohilum Turcicum, Curuvularia Lunata (Walk) Boed, Thantephorus cucumris, Fusarium graminearum, Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. Citri (Hasse) Dye and Xanthomonas zingiberi (Uyeda) Savulescu. The products of bacterium BS04 can endure the treatment of a wide range of pH, and maintain the antibiotic activity after treatment of 100℃ for 30 min. The result suggests that bacterium BS04 has the potential as a promising biocontrol agent. In order to determine the taxonomic placement, the molecular identification of BS04 is performed. The comparative analysis of 16s rDNA sequences indicates that the 16s rDNA sequence of BS04 is highly homologous with sequences of typical Paenibacillus bacteria from the RPD library (from 92% to 99%). 18Wide grain 4,encoding an alpha-tubulin,regulates grain size by affecting cell expansion in rice显示文摘Rice is one of the three most important food crops in the world.Increasing rice yield is an effective way to ensure food security.Grain size is a key factor affecting rice yield;however,the genetic and molecular mechanisms regulating grain size have not been fully investigated.In this study,we identified a rice mutant,wide grain 4-D(wg4-D),that exhibited a significant increase in grain width and a decrease in grain length.Histological analysis demonstrated that WG4 affects cell expansion thereby regulating grain size.MutMap-based gene mapping and complementary transgenic experiments revealed that WG4 encodes an alpha-tubulin,OsTubA1.A SNP mutation in WG4 affected the arrangement of cortical microtubules and caused a wide-grain phenotype.WG4 is located in nuclei and cytoplasm and expressed in various tissues.Our results provide insights into the function of tubulin in rice and identifies novel targets the regulation of grain size in crop breeding.Yi Liu Lianan Guo Guoli Qu Yang Xiang Xu Zhao Hua Yuan Ting Li Liangzhu Kang Shiwen Tang Bin Tu Bingtian Ma Yuping Wang Shigui Li Weilan Chen Peng Qin 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,6:0
19A Severe Seasonal Influenza Epidemic During 2017–2018 in China After the 2009 Pandemic Influenza: A Modeling Study显示文摘Influenza viruses continue to cause epidemics worldwide every year.However,due to the lack of an effective assessment for the severity of influenza epidemics,it was extremely difficult to take preventative measures.Data were extracted from infectious diseases reports from 2011–2018.Joinpoint regression model and susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered model were built to understand the characteristics and processes of the epidemic.The reported incidence of influenza was 1,913,698 from January 2011 to February 2018,with an average-yearly-reported-incidence-rate of 19.21 per 100,000.However,there had been a substantial nationwide epidemic of influenza after September 2017,when the average yearly reported incidence rate was 87.29 per 100,000 and an annual percentage change of 48.1%.The hemagglutinin genes of most influenza A(H1N1 and H3N2)viruses from the period of the epidemic had lower homology to those before August 2017.All the hemagglutinin of the recommended A(H3N2,H1N1)and B(Victoria)viruses for vaccines 2017/2018 had low matches with the epidemic viruses.The basic reproduction number was 1.53.The vaccination benefit was linearly related to vaccination coverage,while the quarantine measure had only significantly benefited when over 60%of the quarantined population.The most severe epidemic of influenza in China since 2011 occurred during the period from September 2017 to February 2018.Compared to quarantine,influenza vaccination is more effective way to prevent influenza,and strategies to increase vaccination coverage should be taken for the prevention of severe epidemics of influenza.Xiaofang Fu Yuqing Zhou Jie Wu Xiaoxiao Liu Cheng Ding Chenyang Huang Min Deng Dongyan Shi Chencheng Wang Kaijin Xu Jingjing Ren Bing Ruan Lanjuan Li Shigui Yang 2019Infectious Microbes & Diseases2019,1,1:0
20Nursing care of 25 children with Kawasaki disease显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to estimate the incidence and describe the diagnosis,treatment and nursing care of Kawasaki Disease among children in Guilin city,Guangxi Province,China.The study is also designed to assess clinical aspects of retrospection,management and outcome,specifically in relation to cardiac disease.Methods To retrospectively collected the clinical data of pediatric patients with Kawasaki's disease at the Affiliated Hospital of Guilin Medical University in China,which covered a two-year period from 2015 to 2016.Results During the two-year study period,a total of 25 cases of Kawasaki disease were reported in the hospitals,comprising of 11 boys and 14 girls(male-female ratio was 1∶1.27).The seasonal distribution showed a slightly higher incidence in spring and summer.The patients’mean age of onset was 2.78 years old.The average hospitalization days of patients were 8.08(range from 5 to18days).16 Kawasaki patients were diagnosed as bronchial pneumonia.Coronary arterial abnormalities were detected during follow up by UCG in 5 cases,but no coronary artery aneurysm was found.All 25 patients recovered and were discharged from the hospital.Conclusion Early treatment and proper nursing management are key issues to prevent the occurrence of coronary artery aneurysm in Kawasaki Disease patients.LI Shenmei GAO Yan LI Yuan ZHAO Jia LIU Chunying ZHONG Shigui 2017中西医结合护理(中英文)2017,3,12:0
