Regeneration performance and carbon consumption of semi-coke and activated coke for SO_2 and NO removal显示文摘To decrease the operating cost of flue gas purification technologies based on carbon-based materials, the adsorption and regeneration performance of low-price semi-coke and activated coke were compared for SO2 and NO removal in a simulated flue gas. The functional groups of the two adsorbents before and after regeneration were characterized by a Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectrometer, and were quantitatively assessed using temperature programmed desorption(TPD) coupled with FTIR and acid–base titration. The results show that semi-coke had higher adsorption capacity(16.2% for SO2 and 38.6% for NO) than activated coke because of its higher content of basic functional groups and lactones. After regeneration, the adsorption performance of semi-coke decreased because the number of active functional groups decreased and the micropores increased. Semi-coke had better regeneration performance than activated coke. Semi-coke had a larger SO2 recovery of 7.2% and smaller carbon consumption of 12% compared to activated coke. The semi-coke carbon-based adsorbent could be regenerated at lower temperatures to depress the carbon consumption, because the SO2 recovery was only reduced a small amount. | Song Ding Yuran Li Tingyu Zhu Yangyang Guo | 2015 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2015,27,8: | 17
Allele-aware chromosome-level genome assembly of Artemisia annua reveals the correlation between ADS expansion and artemisinin yield显示文摘Artemisia annua is the major natural source of artemisinin,an anti-malarial medicine commonly used worldwide. Here,we present chromosome-level haploid maps for two A.annua strains with different artemisinin contents to explore the relationships between genomic organization and artemisinin production.High-fidelity sequencing, optical mapping, and chromatin conformation capture sequencing were used to assemble the heterogeneous and repetitive genome and resolve the haplotypes of A.annua.Approximately 5o,ooo genes were annotated for each haplotype genome, and a triplication event that occurred approximately 58.12million years ago was examined for the first time in this species.A total of 3,903,467-5,193,414 variants(SNPs,indels, and structural variants)were identified in the 1.5-Gb genome during pairwise comparison between haplotypes, consistent with the high heterozygosity of this species.Genomic analyses revealed a correlation between artemisinin concents and the copy number of amorpha-4,11-dienes ynthasegenes. This correlation was further confirmed by resequencing of 36A.annua samples with varied artemisinin contents.Circular consensus sequencing of transcripts facilitated the detection of paralog expression.Collectively, our study provides chromosome-level allele-aware genome assemblies for two A.annua strains and new insights into the biosynthesis of artemisinin and its regulation, which will contribute to conquering malaria worldwide. | Baosheng Liao Xiaofeng Shen Li Xiang Shuai Guo Shiyu Chen Ying Meng Yu Liang Dandan Ding Junqi Bai Dong Zhang Tomasz Czechowski Yi Li Hui Yao Tingyu Mai Caroline Howard Chao Sun Haitao Liu Jiushi Liu Jin Pei Jihai Gao Jigang Wang Xiaohui Qiu Zhihai Huang Hongyi Li Ling Yuan Jianhe Wei lan Graham Jiang Xu Boli Zhang Shilin Chen | 2022 | Molecular Plant2022,15,8: | 9
Adsorption and desorption of SO_2, NO and chlorobenzene on activated carbon显示文摘Activated carbon(AC) is very effective for multi-pollutant removal; however, the complicated components in flue gas can influence each other's adsorption. A series of adsorption experiments for multicomponents, including SO_2, NO, chlorobenzene and H2 O,on AC were performed in a fixed-bed reactor. For single-component adsorption, the adsorption amount for chlorobenzene was larger than for SO_2 and NO on the AC. In the multi-component atmosphere, the adsorption amount decreased by 27.6% for chlorobenzene and decreased by 95.6% for NO, whereas it increased by a factor of two for SO_2,demonstrating that a complex atmosphere is unfavorable for chlorobenzene adsorption and inhibits NO adsorption. In contrast, it is very beneficial for SO_2 adsorption. The temperature-programmed desorption(TPD) results indicated that the binding strength between the gas adsorbates and the AC follows the order of SO_2> chlorobenzene > NO. The adsorption amount is independent of the binding strength. The presence of H2 O enhanced the component effects, while it weakened the binding force between the gas adsorbates and the AC. AC oxygen functional groups were analyzed using TPD and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) measurements. The results reveal the reason why the chlorobenzene adsorption is less affected by the presence of other components. Lactone groups partly transform into carbonyl and quinone groups after chlorobenzene desorption. The chlorobenzene adsorption increases the number of C = O groups, which explains the positive effect of chlorobenzene on SO_2 adsorption and the strong NO adsorption. | Yuran Li Yangyang Guo Tingyu Zhu Song Ding | 2016 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2016,28,5: | 8
Coupling mechanism of activated carbon mixed with dust for flue gas desulfurization and denitrification显示文摘To clarify the effect of coking dust, sintering dust and fly ash on the activity of activated carbon for various industrial flue gas desulfurization and denitrification, the coupling mechanism of the mixed activated carbon and dust was investigated to provide theoretical reference for the stable operation. The results show that coking dust had 34% desulfurization efficiency and 10% denitrification efficiency;correspondingly, sintering dust and fly ash had no obvious desulfurization and denitrification activities. For the mixture of activated carbon and dust, the coking dust reduced the desulfurization and denitrification efficiencies by blocking the pores of activated carbon, and its inhibiting effect on activated carbon was larger than its own desulfurization and denitrification activity. The sintering dust also reduced the desulfurization efficiency on the activated carbon while enhancing the denitrification efficiency. Fly ash blocked the pores of activated carbon and reduced its reaction activity. The reaction activity of coking dust mainly came from the surface functional groups, similar to that of activated carbon. The reaction activity of sintering dust mainly came from the oxidative property of Fe_2O _3, which oxidized NO to NO_2 and promoted the fast selectively catalytic reduction(SCR) of NO to form N_2. Sintering dust was activated by the joint action of activated carbon, and both had a coupling function. Sintering dust enhanced the adsorption and oxidation of NO, and activated carbon further promoted the reduction of NO_x by NH_3;thus, the denitrification efficiency increased by 5%-7% on the activated carbon. | Junxiang Guo Yuran Li Jin Xiong Tingyu Zhu | 2020 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,12: | 2
Contrasting beta diversity of spiders, carabids, and ants at local and regional scales in a black soil region, northeast China显示文摘Understanding the factors determining the formation of each community and metacommunity across a landscape is one of the most important ideas in soil animal ecology. However, the variables and parameters that shape soil arthropod communities in agroecosystems have not been resolved. These arthropods can serve as important bioindicators of field management and its sustainability. We sampled five com plantations in each of three locations across a region spanning 600 km to come up with these determinants of the community structure of ground-dwelling spiders(Erigoninae:Araneae),carabids(Coleoptara:Carabidae),and ants(Hymenoptera:Formicidae). The analysis of the five fields within each of the three locations represent our local-scale samples, while the comparisons of the 15 sites across all three locations represent the regional scale samples. We tested the hypothesis that in the models we sampled,environmental/soil variables would drivecommunity assembly locally(within location comparisons),but at the regional scale(between location comparisons),climatic and spatial variables would drive metacommunity assembly. The outcomes of our study showed distinct communities at each of the three locations when compared across regions but locally, fields were similar in species composition,as expected.Locally, spatial variables were important but not soil variables, regulated species richness and abundance.Turnover contributed more than nestedness to explain the biodiversity of spiders, carabids, and ants at both the local and regional scales.Neither purely climate variables, nor purely soil or spatial variables were significant enough explanations for the regional scale arthropod community composition. However, spatially structured environmental factors contributed most to explain the patterns supporting our hypothesis. We conclude that biodiversity in this agroecosystem area can be promoted by a mosaic of land uses being encouraged to increase landscape complexity at the regional scale. | MEIXIANG GAO YUXI GUO JIE LIU Jinwen Liu Sina Adi Donghui Wu Tingyu Lu | 2021 | Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,2: | 1

Progress in Combination Therapy of Malignant Melanoma显示文摘Malignant melanoma(MM)is a kind of highly-invasive and highly-metastatic tumor, which is insensitive to radiochemotherapy. It is also one of the most invasive tumors in skin cancer with limited treatment options.Due to its rapid increase in incidence in recent years and the limitations of monotherapy,it is necessary to use combination therapy. The combination therapy can not only enhance the treatment effect, but also avoid the development of drug resistance as much as possible. This paper focused on the combined therapy of targeted traditional therapies, immunotherapy with radiotherapy and chemotherapy or other traditional therapies,as well as the research status and new developments of these combined therapies. | Yiwen GU Mingjuan LI Jie ZHANG Tingyu GUO Xuanhui WANG Baoyue DING | 2020 | Agricultural Biotechnology2020,9,6: | 0
Neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 Delta/Omicron variants and B cell response after inactivated vaccination among COVID-19 convalescents显示文摘Emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants have made COVID-19 convalescents susceptible to re-infection and have raised concern about the efficacy of inactivated vaccination in neutralization against emerging variants and antigen-specific B cell response. To this end,a study on a long-term cohort of 208 participants who have recovered from COVID-19 was conducted, and the participants were followed up at 3.3(Visit 1),9.2(Visit 2),and 18.5(Visit 3)months after SARS-CoV-2 infection. They were classified into three groups(no-vaccination(n=54),one-dose(n=62),and two-dose(n=92)groups)on the basis of the administration of inactivated vaccination. The neutralizing antibody(NAb)titers against the wild-type virus continued to decrease in the no-vaccination group, but they rose significantly in the one-dose and two-dose groups, with the highest NAb titers being observed in the two-dose group at Visit 3.The NAb titers against the Delta variant for the no-vaccination,one-dose,and two-dose groups decreased by 3.3,1.9,and 2.3 folds relative to the wild-type virus, respectively, and those against the Omicron variant decreased by 7.0,4.0,and 3.8 folds, respectively.Similarly, the responses of SARS-CoV-2 RBD-specific B cells and memory B cells were boosted by the second vaccine dose. Results showed that the convalescents benefited from the administration of the inactivated vaccine(one or two doses),which enhanced neutralization against highly mutated SARS-CoV-2 variants and memory B cell responses. Two doses of inactivated vaccine among COVID-19 convalescents are therefore recommended for the prevention of the COVID-19 pandemic, and vaccination guidelines and policies need to be updated. | Hao Wang Yu Yuan Bihao Wu Mingzhong Xiao Zhen Wang Tingyue Diao Rui Zeng Li Chen Yanshou Lei Pinpin Long Yi Guo Xuefeng Lai Yuying Wen Wenhui Li Hao Cai Lulu Song Wei Ni Youyun Zhao Kani Ouyang Jingzhi Wang Qi Wang Li Liu Chaolong Wang An Pan Xiaodong Li Rui Gong Tangchun Wu | 2023 | Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,4: | 0
A review of low-carbon technologies and projects for the global cement industry显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions from the cement industry account for 26%of the total industrial emissions, and the need to develop low-carbon techniques within the cement industry is extremely urgent.Low-carbon projects and technologies for the cement industry in different regions and countries have been thoroughly reviewed in this manuscript, and the low-carbon development concept for each county has been analyzed. For developing countries such as China and India, energy saving and efficiency enhancement are currently the key points, while for developed countries and regions such as Europe, more efforts have been focused on carbon capture, utilization, and storage(CCUS).Global CCUS projects have been previously conducted, and the majority of CCUS projects are currently performed in Europe where major projects such as the CEMCAP,CLEANKER,and IEILAC projects represent the latest research progress in cement production technologies and low-carbon technologies for the global cement industry. The development of low-carbon cement technologies has changed from focusing on the end point to instead focusing on the source and process through the exploration of hydrogen and solar energies, and more disruptive and original technologies are expected to be developed, particularly in the cement industry in China. | Yangyang Guo Lei Luo Tingting Liu Liwei Hao Yinming Li Pengfei Liu Tingyu Zhu | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,2: | 0
