1Beam Measurement System in NSRL显示文摘This paper describes the beam measurement system for the accelerator of the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory (NSRL). The design considerations of the beam measurement instrumentation system for the NSRL are aided by the commissioning of the machine and provide sufficient machine parameters for machine study as well as the common operation. The beam measurement system includes the part for the linac and transport line and the part for the storage ring. 2A universal pipeline for mobile mRNA detection and insights into heterografting advantages under chilling stress显示文摘Heterografting has long been used to enhance the chilling tolerance of temperature-sensitive crops,including watermelon,whose mechanism is known to involve bidirectional long-distance mRNA movements.Despite several studies reporting on mobile mRNA(mb-mRNA)profiles in plants,accurate identification of mb-mRNAs is challenging owing to an array of technical problems.Here,we developed a bioinformatical pipeline that took most of the known technical concerns into consideration and is considered to be a universal tool for mb-mRNA detection in heterografts.By applying this pipeline to a commercial watermelon–bottle gourd heterografting system,we detected 130 and 1144 mb-mRNAs upwardly and 167 and 1051 mb-mRNAs downwardly transmitted under normal and chilling-stress conditions,respectively.Quantitative real-time PCR indicated a high accuracy rate(88.2%)of mb-mRNA prediction with our pipeline.We further revealed that the mobility of mRNAs was not associated with their abundance.Functional annotation and classification implied that scions may convey the stress signal to the rootstock,subsequently triggering energy metabolism reprogramming and abscisic acid-mediated stress responses by upward movement of effective mRNAs,ultimately leading to enhanced chilling tolerance.This study provides a universal tool for mb-mRNA detection in plant heterografting systems and novel insights into heterografting advantages under chilling stress.Ying Wang Lingping Wang Nailin Xing Xiaohua Wu Xinyi Wu Baogen Wang Zhongfu Lu Pei Xu Ye Tao Guojing Li Yuhong Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:3
3HLS bunch current measurement system显示文摘Bunch current is an important parameter for studying the injection fill-pattern in the storage ring and the instability threshold of the bunch, and the bunch current monitor also is an indispensable tool for the top-up injection. A bunch current measurement (BCM) system has been developed to meet the needs of the upgrade project of Hefei Light Source (HLS). This paper presents the layout of the BCM system. The system based on a high-speed digital oscilloscope can be used to measure the bunch current and synchronous phase shift. To obtain the absolute value of bunch-by-bunch current, the calibration coefficient is measured and analyzed. 4The measurement of electron beam transverse sizes by synchrotron radiation interferometry for HLS Ⅱ显示文摘In order to improve accuracy of electron beam transverse sizes measurement,the vertical and horizontal synchrotron radiation light interferometers have been designed to measure beam transverse sizes for the upgrade project of Hefei Light Source(HLS II).In this paper,the light intensity distributions of the interferogram are descussed,and parameters of the interferometers are optimized.The interferograms are simulated under MATLAB. 7Development of Insertion and Deletion Markers for Bottle Gourd Based on Restriction Site-associated DNA Sequencing Data显示文摘Bottle gourd is an important cucurbit crop worldwide. To provide more available molecular markers for this crop, a bioinformatic approach was employed to develop insertion–deletions(In Dels) markers in bottle gourd based on restriction site-associated DNA sequencing(RAD-Seq)data. A total of 892 Indels were predicted, with the length varying from 1 bp to 167 bp. Single-nucleotide In Dels were the predominant types of In Dels. To validate these In Dels, PCR primers were designed from 162 loci where In Dels longer than 2 bp were predicated. A total of 112 In Dels were found to be polymorphic among 9 bottle gourd accessions under investigation. The rate of prediction accuracy was thus at a high level of72.7%. 8Beam emittance investigation in high brightness injector using different driver laser profiles显示文摘Beam emittance plays an important role in any accelerator, and it is a main parameter to judge the performance of an accelerator. Emittance optimization is an indispensable part in conditioning and operation of the facility. For a laser-driven high brightness injector, different time structure of the laser pulse has different effects on transverse emittance. In order to compare Gaussian and flat-top laser pulse, systematic simulations of 500 pC have been done. 10Giant low-field magnetocaloric effect in ferromagnetically ordered Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds显示文摘Magnetocaloric material is the key working substance for magnetic refrigerant technology,for which the low-field and low-temperature magnetocaloric effect(MCE)performance is of great importance for practical applications at low temperatures.Here,a giant low-field magnetocaloric effect in ferromagnetically ordered Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds was reported,and the magnetic structure was characterized based on low-temperature neutron powder diffraction.With increasing Tm content from 0 to 1,the Curie temperature of Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds decreases from 16.0 K to 3.6 K.For Er_(0.7)Tm_(0.3)Al_(2) compound,it showed the largest low-field magnetic entropy change(–SM)with the peak value of 17.2 and 25.7 J/(kg K)for 0–1 T and 0–2 T,respectively.The(–SM)max up to 17.2 J/(kg K)of Er0.7Tm0.3Al2 compound for 0–1 T is the largest among the intermetallic magnetocaloric materials ever reported at temperatures below 20 K.The peak value of adiabatic temperature change(Tad)max was determined as 4.13 K and 6.87 K for 0–1 T and 0–2 T,respectively.The characteristic of second-order magnetic transitions was confirmed on basis of Arrott plots,the quantitative criterion of exponent n,rescaled universal curves,and the mean-field theory criterion.The outstanding low-field MCE performance with low working temperatures indicates that Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds are promising candidates for magnetic cooling materials at liquid hydrogen and liquid helium temperatures.Shuxian Yang Xinqi Zheng Dingsong Wang Juping Xu Wen Yin Lei Xi Chaofan Liu Jun Liu Jiawang Xu Hu Zhang Zhiyi Xu Lichen Wang Yihong Yao Maosen Zhang Yichi Zhang Jianxin Shen Shouguo Wang Baogen Shen 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,15:0

12Magnetic Field Induced Entropy Change for La-Fe Based NaZn_(13)-Typed Compounds显示文摘Magnetic field induced entropy change was investigated for La-Fe based NaZn13-type compounds with magnetic first-order phase transition. In view of magnetic refrigeration at room temperature, the developing of the materials and the understanding of the entropy change were reviewed. For La-Fe-Si compounds, the entropy change about 29 J·kg-1·K-1 was obtained at 190 K under the magnetic field of 5 T. While a large entropy change of about 15 J·kg-1·K-1 near room temperature under 5 T can be obtained by the substitution of Co for Fe in the compounds. It is found that the entropy change is mainly composed of that contributed from magnetic ordering and crystal lattice. 13Classification and Prediction of Skyrmion Material Based on Machine Learning显示文摘The discovery and study of skyrmion materials play an important role in basic frontier physics research and future information technology.The database of 196 materials,including 64 skyrmions,was established and predicted based on machine learning.A variety of intrinsic features are classified to optimize the model,and more than a dozen methods had been used to estimate the existence of skyrmion in magnetic materials,such as support vector machines,k-nearest neighbor,and ensembles of trees.It is found that magnetic materials can be more accurately divided into skyrmion and non-skyrmion classes by using the classification of electronic layer.Note that the rare earths are the key elements affecting the production of skyrmion.The accuracy and reliability of random undersampling bagged trees were 87.5%and 0.89,respectively,which have the potential to build a reliable machine learning model from small data.The existence of skyrmions in LaBaMnO is predicted by the trained model and verified by micromagnetic theory and experiments.Dan Liu Zhixin Liu JinE Zhang Yinong Yin Jianfeng Xi Lichen Wang JieFu Xiong Ming Zhang Tongyun Zhao Jiaying Jin Fengxia Hu Jirong Sun Jun Shen Baogen Shen 2023Research2023,,4:0
14Development of a PSD-based photon beam position measurement system显示文摘As an important part of the beam diagnostic system, the synchrotron light beam position measurement has a very high value in the high quality and high stability light source applied research. A new photon beam position monitor based on position-sensitive detector (PSD) has been developed to measure the photon beam position in vertical and horizontal directions at the same time at HLS (Hefei Light Source). The new PBPM based on the PSD has fast response speed, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. This PBPM system also includes the C4674 signal processing circuit, NI USB-9215 data acquisition device and the LABVIEW data acquisition program. This PBPM system has been calibrated vertically and horizontally on-line, and then has been applied in the beam line B3EA of HLS to measure the position of the synchrotron light. 15Tunable In-Plane Anisotropy in Amorphous Sm Co Films Grown on(011)-Oriented Single-Crystal Substrates显示文摘Amorphous Sm-Co films with uniaxial in-plane anisotropy have great potential for application in information-storage media and spintronic materials.The most effective method to produce uniaxial inplane anisotropy is to apply an in-plane magnetic field during deposition.However,this method inevitably requires more complex equipment.Here,we report a new way to produce uniaxial in-plane anisotropy by growing amorphous Sm-Co films onto(011)-cut single-crystal substrates in the absence of an external magnetic field.The tunable anisotropy constant,kA,is demonstrated with variation in the lattice parameter of the substrates.A kA value as high as about 3.3×10^4J·m^-3 was obtained in the amorphous Sm-Co film grown on a LaAlO3(011)substrate.Detailed analysis indicated that the preferential seeding and growth of ferromagnetic(FM)domains caused by the anisotropic strain of the substrates,along with the formed Sm-Co,Co-Co directional pair ordering,exert a substantial effect.This work provides a new way to obtain in-plane anisotropy in amorphous Sm-Co films.Wenhui Liang Houbo Zhou Jiefu Xiong Fengxia Hu Jia Li Jian Zhang Jing Wang Jirong Sun Baogen Shen 2020Engineering2020,6,2:0
16Cross-shore suspended sediment flux in the salt marsh pioneer zone of Chongming eastern beach in the Chang- jiang Estuary in China显示文摘Between April 2002 and April 2003,in situ measurements of water depth,current velocity and suspended sediment content were carried out in edge region of East Chongming salt marsh and neighboring bald flat in the Changjiang (Yangtze) Estuary under different weather conditions.Cross-shore suspended sediment flux was calculated and analyzed.The results show that under calm weather conditions,the current velocity process in bald field and salt marsh area varied differently during semidiurnal tidal cycles.Owing to current velocity asymmetry,mean SSC during flood tide phase was 1.8 times higher than that of ebb tide phase.As a result,net onshore sediment flux controlled cross-shore suspended sediment transport process and salt marsh pioneer zone was generally accreting.There was significant positive correlation between total sediment flux and quartic power of maximum water depth.It indicates that tidal ranges dominate suspended sediment transport and sedimentation process in the salt marsh pioneer zone under the calm weather condition.The sedimentation rate on the adjacent mudflat was higher than the salt marsh,which induced stable accreting of salt marsh towards the sea.The wind events enhanced SSC and current velocity during the semidiurnal tides.And the remarkable onshore net sediment flux could occur on the high marsh and mudflat close to the marsh fringe during the short period under the rough weather condition.WANG Chu YAO Dongjing HE Baogen ZHOU Naisheng XU Shiyuan 2010Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,6:0
17Unipolar electric-field-controlled nonvolatile multistate magnetic memory in FeRh/(001)PMN-PT heterostructures over a broad temperature span显示文摘Multistate magnetic memory effect in heterostructures composed of FeRh thin films with antiferromagnetic(AFM)-ferromagnetic(FM)phase transition and(001)-oriented PMN-PT substrates has been investigated.Utilizing a unipolar electric field,the nonvolatile change in magnetization was nearly doubled compared with that obtained utilizing a conventional bipolar bias.Four stable nonvolatile magnetic states were obtained over a broad temperature span,from 320 to 390K,by adjusting the amplitude of the unipolar electric pulses,demonstrating the possibility of realizing a multistate nonvolatile magnetic memory in the FeRh/PMN-PT heterostructures.This work provides a new strategy for enhancing the magnetic response by utilizing unipolar electric fields and promotes the utilization of AFM-FM phase transition materials in multifunctional information storage and novel spintronic devices.Kaiming Qiao Fengxia Hu Hu Zhang Ziyuan Yu Xianliang Liu Yuhang Liang Yi Long Jing Wang Jirong Sun Tongyun Zhao Baogen Shen 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,1:0

19Phase transition regulation and caloric effect显示文摘Solid state refrigeration based on caloric effect is regarded as a potential candidate for replacing vapor-compression refrigeration.Numerous methods have been proposed to optimize the refrigeration properties of caloric materials,of which single field tuning as a relatively simple way has been systemically studied.However,single field tuning with few tunable parameters usually obtains an excellent performance in one specific aspect at the cost of worsening the performance in other aspects,like attaining a large caloric effect with narrowing the transition temperature range and introducing hysteresis.Because of the shortcomings of the caloric effect driven by a single field,multifield tuning on multicaloric materials that have a coupling between different ferro-orders came into view.This review mainly focuses on recent studies that apply this method to improve the cooling performance of materials,consisting of enlarging caloric effects,reducing hysteresis losses,adjusting transition temperatures,and widening transition temperature spans,which indicate that further progress can be made in the application of this method.Furthermore,research on the sign of lattice and spin contributions to the magnetocaloric effect found new phonon evolution mechanisms,calling for more attention on multicaloric effects.Other progress including improving cyclability of FeRh alloys by introducing second phases and realizing a large reversible barocaloric effect by hybridizing carbon chains and inorganic groups is described in brief.Yuan LIN Jiazheng HAO Kaiming QIAO Yihong GAO Fengxia HU Jing WANG Tongyun ZHAO Baogen SHEN 2023Frontiers in Energy2023,17,4:0
