1Effect of activation agents on the surface chemical properties and desulphurization performance of activated carbon显示文摘Flue gas pollution is a serious environmental problem that needs to be solved for the sustainable development of China.The surface chemical properties of carbon have great influence on its desulphurization performance.A series of activated carbons (ACs) were prepared using HNO3,H2O2,NH3·H2O and steam as activation agents with the aim to introduce functional groups to carbon surface in the ACs preparation process.The ACs were physically and chemically characterized by iodine and SO2 adsorption,ultimate analysis,Boehm titration,and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR).Results showed that the iodine number and desulphurization capacity of NH3·H2O activated carbon (AC-NH3) increase with both activation time,and its desulphurization capacity also increases with the concentration of activation agent.However,HNO3 activated carbon (AC-HNO3) and H2O2 activated carbon (AC-H2O2) exhibit more complex behavior.Only their iodine numbers increase monotonously with activation time.Compared with steam activated AC (AC-H2O),the nitrogen content increases 0.232% in AC-NH3 and 0.077% in AC-HNO3.The amount of total basic site on AC-HNO3 is 0.19 mmol·g-1 higher than that on AC-H2O.H2O2 activation introduces an additional 0.08 mmol·g-1 carboxyl groups to AC surface than that introduced by steam activation.The desulphurization capacity of ACs in simulate flue gas desulphurization decreases as follows: AC-NH3 > AC-HNO3 > AC-H2O2 > AC-H2O.This sequence is in accord with the SO2 catalytic oxidation/oxidation ratio in the absence of oxygen and the oxidation property reflected by TPR.In the presence of oxygen,all adsorbed SO2 on ACs can be oxidized into SO3.The desulphurization capacity increases differently according to the activation agents;the desulphurization capacity of AC-NH3 and AC-HNO3 improves by 4.8 times,yet AC-H2O increases only by 2.62 as compared with the desulphurization of corresponding ACs in absence of oxygen.ZHANG XiangLan,ZHANG Yan,WANG ShuangSheng,ZHANG JingJing & ZHOU Wei School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering,China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing),Beijing 100083,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9:14
2Effects of coal rank, Fe_3O_4 amounts and activation temperature on the preparation and characteristics of magnetic activated carbon显示文摘Coal-based Magnetic Activated Carbons (CMAC’s) were prepared from three representative coal samples of various ranks: Baorigele lignite from Inner Mongolia; Datong bitumite from Shanxi province; and Taixi anthracite from Ningxia Hui Auto-nomous Region. Fe3O4 was used as a magnetic additive. A nitrogen-adsorption analyzer was used to determine the specific surface area and pore structure of the resulting activated carbons. The adsorption capacity was assessed by the adsorption of iodine and methylene blue. X-ray diffraction was used to measure the evolution behavior of Fe3O4 during the preparation process. Magnetic properties were characterized with a vibrating-sample magnetometer. The effect of the activation temperature on the performance of CMAC’s was also studied. The results show that, compared to Baorigele lignite and Taixi anthracite, the Datong bitumite is more appropriate for the preparation of CMAC’s with a high specific surface area, an advanced pore structure and suitable magnetic properties. Fe3O4 can effectively enhance the magnetic properties and control the pore structure by increasing the ratio of meso-pores. An addition of 6.0% Fe3O4 and an activation temperature of 880 °C produced a CMAC having a specific surface area, an iodine adsorption, a methylene blue adsorption and a specific saturation magnetization of 1152.0 m2/g, 1216.7 mg/g, 229.5 mg/g and 4.623 emu/g, respectively. 3Methane dry reforming on Ni/La_2Zr_2O_7 treated by plasma in different atmospheres显示文摘A series of Ni/La2Zr2O7 pyrochlore catalysts prepared by impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma in different atmospheres and varied sequences were prepared and applied for dry reforming of methane(DRM). It is found that all of the plasma treated catalysts show evidently improved activity and coke resistance in comparison with the non-plasma treated one. The best performance is achieved on Ni/La2Zr2O7–H2P–C,a catalyst treated in H2 plasma before calcination. TGA-DSC and SEM demonstrate that carbon deposition is significantly suppressed on all of the plasma treated samples. Moreover,XRD and TEM results testify that both Ni O and Ni sizes on the calcined and reduced samples treated by plasma are also decreased,which results in higher Ni metal dispersion on the reduced and used catalysts and enhances the interactions between Ni sites and the support. 4Impacts of land use and salinization on soil inorganic and organic carbon in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta显示文摘Soil inorganic carbon(SIC)is an important reservoir of carbon(C)in arid,semi-arid,and semi-humid regions.However,knowledge is incomplete on the dynamics of SIC and its relationship with soil organic C(SOC)under different land use types in the semi-humid region,particularly in coastal zones impacted by soil salinization.We collected 170 soil samples from 34 profiles across various land use types(maize-wheat,cotton,paddy,and reed)in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta(YRD),China.We measured soil pH,electrical conductivity(EC),water-soluble salts,and SOC and SIC contents.Our results showed significant differences in both SOC and SIC among land use types.The dry cropland(maize-wheat and cotton)soils had significantly higher SOC and SIC densities(4.71 and 15.46 kg C m^(-2),respectively)than the paddy soils(3.28 and 14.09 kg C m^(-2),respectively)in the 0–100 cm layer.Compared with paddy soils,reed soils contained significantly higher SOC(4.68 kg C m^(-2))and similar SIC(15.02 kg C m^(-2))densities.There was a significant positive correlation between SOC and SIC densities over a 0–100 cm soil depth in dry cropland soils,but a negative relationship in the paddy soils.On average,SOC and SIC densities under maize-wheat cropping were 15%and 4%lower,respectively,in the salt-affected soils in the middle-lower YRD than the upper YRD.This study indicated that land use types had great influences on both SOC and SIC and their relationship,and salinization had adverse effect on soil C storage in the YRD.Yang GUO Xiujun WANG Xianglan LI Minggang XU Yuan LI Haonan ZHENG Yongming LUO Pete SMITH 2021Pedosphere2021,31,6:4
5Dry reforming of methane on active and coke resistant Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7 catalysts treated by dielectric barrier discharge plasma显示文摘In this study, Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7 catalysts prepared with impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge plasma(DBD) in different atmospheres have been investigated for methane dry reforming. It is revealed by H_2-TPR that plasma treatment can enhance the interaction between Ni O/Ni particles and the Y_2Zr_2O_7 pyrochlore support. Therefore, catalysts with smaller Ni O and Ni grains sizes, higher metallic Ni active surface areas can be achieved, as evidenced by XRD, TEM and H_2 adsorption-desorption measurements. As a consequence, the plasma-treated catalysts show significantly improved activity, stability and coke resistance, as testified by the TEM and TGA-DSC results. Plasma treatment in H_2/Ar gas mixture is found to be the best condition to prepare Ni/Y_2Zr_2O_7, which can be used to obtain a catalyst with the highest activity, stability and most potent coke resistance. 6Ln2Zr2O7 compounds(Ln=La,Pr, Sm, Y) with varied rare earth A sites for low temperature oxidative coupling of methane显示文摘With the objective to develop catalysts having application potential for oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) at relatively lower temperature. A series of Ln2Zr2O7 compounds with varied rare earth A sites have been prepared by a co-precipitation method. XRD and Raman have proved that pure Ln2Zr2O7 compounds have been successfully prepared for all the catalysts. By decreasing the rA/rB ratio, their crystalline structure transform from an ordered pyrochlore (La2Zr2O7) to a less ordered pyrochlore (Pr2Zr2O7 and Sm2Zr2O7) and eventually to a defective cubic fluorite phase (Y2Zr2O7). H2-TPR, O2-TPD and XPS have testified that the amount of surface active O2-species follows the order of La2Zr2O7>Pr2Zr2O7>Sm2Zr2O7 > Y2Zr2O7, which is well consistent with the reaction performance, indicating that the abundance of surface O2- sites is a critical factor influencing the reaction performance. CO2-TPD has demonstrated that a better catalyst generally possesses a larger amount of surface moderate alkaline sites, which is another factor to affect the reaction performance. It is concluded that the concerted interaction between the two types of surface active sites controls the reaction performance of the Ln2Zr2O7 catalysts. 8A new way to analyze the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome:heat toxin syndrome in cerebral infarction显示文摘Objective:To establish a diagnostic system for heat toxin syndrome of acute cerebral infarction.Based on this toxin syndrome diagnostic system,the general principles of heat toxin development will be uncovered,and the critical turning point at which the heat toxin syndrome occurs will also be explored.Methods:In this study,a total of 271 hypertension patients with cerebral infarction within 72 h were recruited from the Affiliated Dongfang Hospital of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,the Affiliated Dongzhimen Hospital of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine,the Affiliated Renmin Hospital of Peking University,the Second Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the Affiliated Hospital of Changchun University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,the Affiliated Hospital of Hebei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and China Meitan General Hospital from August,2008,to December,2009.The patients’Chinese medical information was recorded on days 1,3,5,7,and 14 during their hospitalizations.The medical records were recorded according to traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)theory and included the serum marker levels at the beginning and at the end of the trial.The time line was also analyzed.Results:The level of Hs-CRP,PAG,NSE,OX-LDL,and MMP-9 were abnormal and,were higher in CI patients compared to hypertension patients.In the study of the heat toxin diagnosis system,according to the entropy clustering results,30 combinations of the medical information can be sorted into the traditional syndromes,but 13 combinations cannot be sorted.To obtain more precise symptoms related to the heat toxins,a logistic regression equation was set up with the variables from the unsorted medical information;the dependent variables were fever and BP fluctuation.Weighted variables were obtained.MLP analysis demonstrated that the diagnosis model was stable and precise.The accuracy reached 83.82%.The ROC test showed that seven points of the diagnosis system was the best cutting point,with a sensitivity of 0.857 and a specificity of 0.955.Progressing stroke was related to heat toxin syndrome.When the turning point appeared,the combination of symptoms,such as coma,aphasia,gummy eyes,and halitosis,predicted the deterioration or recovery of CI.The heat toxin syndrome existed in every subtype of CI;however,the observed heat toxin levels were highest in PACI and lowest in LACI.Meanwhile,blood and sputum stasis syndromes transformed into heat toxicity were one source of heat toxin syndrome.Conclusion:Heat toxin syndrome,as well as qi/blood/sputum stasis,co-existed in the CI patients,and the transformation frequently appeared during the process.Three to five days after the onset of CI was the turning point,at which time several combinations of medical indicators make it possible to predict the development of CI.Zhichen Zhang Shaozhen Ji Xuejie Yu Xianglan Jin Liping Zhang Rongjuan Guo Hong Zheng Mingqi Wang Yunling Zhang 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,1:1
9Concerted regulation on vertical orientation and film quality of two-dimensional ruddlesden-popper perovskite layer for efficient solar cells显示文摘Recently,the two-dimensional(2D)ruddlesden-popper(RPP)perovskite has been successfully attracting great attention owing to their excellent electronic property and superior ambient stability.But 2D perovskite solar cells(PVSCs)with insulating large cations show a worse performance than three-dimensional(3D)PVSCs in general because of the worse charge transportation.In this work,dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)and KI were incorporated simultaneously to produce a synergistic effect on both film quality and orientation of 2D perovskite.With this strategy,a cavity-free 2D perovskite film was formed with vertically oriented crystal,and high quality film was obtained with decreased defects and increased crystallinity.Besides,profitable multiple phases were obtained for better spontaneous carrier separation and transportation.The 2D PVSCs based on(PEA)2(MA)n−1PbnI3n+1(n=5)delivered a higher power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 13.4%.In addition,the perovskite with KI and DMSO contained more stable low-dimension phase at the bottom of perovskite film,which could act as a barrier to prevent moisture from further eroding internal perovskites.The optimized 2D PVSCs remained 90%of the PCE after being exposed in air(50%–60%humidity,room temperature)with a continuous illumination for 300 h.Xianglan Tang Xueying Wang Ting Hu Qingxia Fu Xiaotian Hu Zengqi Huang Shuqin Xiao Yiwang Chen 2020Science China Chemistry2020,63,11:1
10A2B2O7 pyrochlore compounds:A category of potential materials for clean energy and environment protection catalysis显示文摘A2B2O7 pyrochlore is a kind of important functional materials for different purposes,which has been investigated extensively by crystallographers and material scientists.However,the catalytic chemistry of this type of special compounds has rarely been documented,though a few researchers have tried to synthesize some pyrochlore compounds with different chemical compositions for a variety of green energy production and air pollution control reactions in the history.With the expectation to help catalysis scientists to get better acquaintance with,and gain deeper understanding on this type of compounds as heterogeneous catalysts,the major publications over the past several decades have been screened and reviewed in this paper,based also on our own experience of studying on this type of catalytic materials.The crystalline phase transformations of the compounds with the change of the A and B site cations,the phase change’s influences on the surface and bulk properties,and their subsequent impact on the catalytic performance for different reactions have been summarized.Furthermore,the future work which needs to be performed to perceive in depth this kind of important materials as catalysts has been proposed and suggested.We trust that this short review contains valuable information,which will provide great help for people to get better cognition for A2 B2 O7 pyrochlore compounds,and assist them to develop better catalysts for various reactions.Junwei Xu Rong Xi Xianglan Xu Yan Zhang Xiaohui Feng Xiuzhong Fang Xiang Wang 2020Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,8:1

18On the monolayer dispersion behavior of Co_(3)O_(4)on HZSM-5 support:designing applicable catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides by ammonia显示文摘Based on monolayer dispersion theory,Co_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5 catalysts with different loadings have been prepared for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides by ammonia.Co_(3)O_(4)can spontaneously disperse on HZSM-5 support with a monolayer dispersion threshold of 0.061 mmol 100 m^(-2),equaling to a weight percentage around 4.5%.It has been revealed that the quantities of surface active oxygen(O_(2)^(-))and acid sites are crucial for the reaction,which can adsorb and activate NO_(x)and NH_(3)reactants effectively.Below the monolayer dispersion threshold,Co_(3)O_(4)is finely dispersed as sub-monolayers or monolayers and in an amorphous state,which is favorable to generate the two kinds of active sites,hence promoting the performance of ammonia selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide.However,the formation of crystalline Co_(3)O_(4)above the capacity is harmful to the reaction performance.4%Co_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5,the catalyst close to the monolayer dispersion capacity,possesses the most abundant active O_(2)^(-)species and acidic sites,thereby demonstrating the best reaction performance in all the samples.It is proposed the optimal Co_(3)O_(4)/ZSM-5 catalyst can be prepared by loading the capacity amount of Co_(3)O_(4)onto HZSM-5 support.Yufeng Yang Lihong Zhang Tao Song Yixing Huang Xianglan Xu Junwei Xu Xiuzhong Fang Qing Wang Haiming Liu Xiang Wang 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,11:0
19Investigation of dementia awareness among stroke patients in China:A cross-sectional study显示文摘Objective:To provide guidelines for the prevention of post-stroke dementia,we investigated whether stroke patients were aware of post-stroke dementia and their level of dementia-related knowledge.Methods:Five dementia-related questions were designed.A field survey was conducted in a questionand-answer method using the designed questions.The surveys assessed 3000 stroke patients(2 weekse6 months after stroke attacks)from 14 hospitals/clinical centers in 7 provinces and cities across China.Results:Among 3000 stroke patients,80.5%had heard of dementia,39.1%knew that stroke can lead to dementia,55.7%believed dementia can be prevented,50.8%thought dementia can be cured,and only 8.8%had ever seen a doctor because of memory deterioration.Then,patients were classified into three groups,including a no cognitive impairment(NCI)group,a mild cognitive impairment(MCI)group,and a mild dementia(MD)group.Among the MCI and MD groups,only 8.7%(75/861)and 9.9%(64/649)of patients,respectively,had ever seen a doctor because of memory deterioration.According to our results,patients with a higher level of cognitive impairment had a lower awareness of dementia(P<.001).Conclusion:The awareness of dementia in stroke patients in China is low,and the consultation rate is even lower.Moreover,patients with a higher level of cognitive impairment have a lower awareness of dementia.To improve public awareness and improve prevention,more emphasis should be put on education regarding post-stroke dementia.Routine cognitive function screening should be conducted on stroke patients as an effective way to assess dementia.Jing Zhou Ying Wang Jiayi Zhao Baoxin Chen Xuemei Liu Chen Fu Xiaobing Hou Huanmin Niu Yunling Zhang Xianglan Jin 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2021,8,2:0
20Porous polyimide-based phase change materials with enhanced mechanical properties, thermal conductivity, and thermal shock resistance through precisely designed triple-functional layers显示文摘Numerous scenarios of direct contact between electronic components and skin appear in wearable electronic devices. As the “second skin” that lies next to the biological skin of the human body, flexible wearable devices need to be equipped with thermal protection. However, the use of flexible phase change materials(PCMs) for wearable devices remains a challenge due to their low thermal conductivity, weakened mechanical strength, and liquid leakage. Herein, we developed a multilayered polyimide(PI) composite film integrating stable latent heat absorption, high thermal conductivity, and enhanced mechanical strength. This single piece of material achieved more prominent hotspot protection than traditional foams. The in-plane thermal conductivity of the resultant substrate layer is up to 2.655 W/(m K), which provides a fast response and in-plane dissipation for heat flow. The deliberately arranged interlayer of the material significantly improved the tensile strength(37.6 MPa) of the composite film,representing 128.9% greater strength than that of a bilayer film without a dense layer. The top layer with abundant pores provides reversibly latent heat storing and releasing function after being well infiltrated with paraffin wax. The resulting synergistic effect between three functional layers shows superb heat-suppressing performance in the thickness direction in both thermal shockresistant tests and simulation results. Impressively, the maximum temperature drop reached 40.2℃ compared with the pure PI film. The heating time was delayed by 12 s, providing sufficient warning time for human emergency response.
