1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 2Mathematic principles of interrupted-sampling repeater jamming (ISRJ)显示文摘Coherent jamming is one of the important trends in modern radar electronic war- fare. High-speed sampling of wideband radio frequency (RF) signals and high iso- lation of two receive-transmit antennas are key technologies for the realization of coherent jamming. However, these technologies present significant challenges to engineering application. In this paper, a novel repeater jamming based on inter- rupted sampling technique is presented. For a jammer with a receive-transmit time-sharing antenna, a radar signal is sampled with a low rate by the jammer. Then, a train of false targets will be achieved after the jamming signal feed the matched filter of a pulse compression radar. 3Single-cell RNA-seq highlights intra-tumoral heterogeneity and malignant progression in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma显示文摘Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is the most common type of pancreatic cancer featured with high intra-tumoral heterogeneity and poor prognosis. To comprehensively delineate the PDAC intra-tumoral heterogeneity and the underlying mechanism for PDAC progression, we employed single-cell RNA-seq (scRNA-seq) to acquire the transcriptomic atlas of 57,530 individual pancreatic cells from primary PDAC tumors and control pancreases, and identified diverse malignant and stromal cell types, including two ductal subtypes with abnormal and malignant gene expression profiles respectively, in PDAC. We found that the heterogenous malignant subtype was composed of several subpopulations with differential proliferative and migratory potentials. Cell trajectory analysis revealed that components of multiple tumor-related pathways and transcription factors (TFs) were differentially expressed along PDAC progression. Furthermore, we found a subset of ductal cells with unique proliferative features were associated with an inactivation state in tumor-infiltrating T cells, providing novel markers for the prediction of antitumor immune response. 4Formation and destruction processes of upper Sinian oil-gas pools in the Dingshan-Lintanchang structural belt, southeast Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘The lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation hydrocarbon source rocks at the Dingshan-Lintanchang structure in the southeast Sichuan Basin were of medium-good quality with two excellent hydrocarbon-generating centers developed in the periphery areas, with a possibility of forming a medium to large-sized oil-gas field. Good reservoir rocks were the upper Sinian (Dengying Formation) dolomites. The mudstone in the lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation with a good sealing capacity was the cap rock. The widely occurring bitumen in the Dengying Formation indicates that a paleo oil pool was once formed in the study area. The first stage of paleo oil pool formation was maturation of the lower Cambrian source rocks during the late Ordovician. Hydrocarbon generation from the lower Cambrian source rocks stopped due to the Devonian-Carboniferous uplifting. The lower Cambrian source rocks then restarted generation of large quantities of hydrocarbons after deposition of the middle Permian sediments. This was the second stage of the paleo oil pool formation. The oil in the paleo oil pool began to crack during the late Triassic and a paleo gas pool was formed. This paleo gas pool was destroyed during the Yanshan-Himalayan folding, uplifting and denudation. Bitumen can be widely seen in the Dengying Formation in wells and outcrops in the Sichuan Basin and its periphery areas. 5Epidemiological and risk analysis of the H7N9 subtype influenza outbreak in China at its early stage显示文摘Dozens of human cases infected with H7N9 subtype avian influenza virus (AIV) have been confirmed in China since March, 2013. Distribution data of sexes, ages, professions and regions of the cases were analyzed in this report. The results showed that the elderly cases, especially the male elderly, were significantly more than expected, which is different from human cases of H5N1 avian influenza and human cases of the pandemic H1N1 influenza. The outbreak was rated as a Grade Ⅲ (severe) outbreak, and it would evolve into a Grade IV (very severe) outbreak soon, using a method reported previously. The H7N9 AIV will probably circulate in humans, birds and pigs for years. Moreover, with the driving force of natural selection, the virus will probably evolve into highly pathogenic AIV in birds, and into a deadly pandemic influenza virus in humans. Therefore, the H7N9 outbreak has been assumed severe, and it is likely to become very or extremely severe in the future, highlighting the emergent need of forceful scientific measures to eliminate any infected animal flocks. 7Effect of temperature on corrosion behavior of 3003 aluminum alloy in ethylene glycol–water solution显示文摘The effect of temperature on the corrosion behavior of 3003 aluminum alloy in ethylene glycol–water solution was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) techniques. The surface characterization was observed and determined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), atomic force microscopy(AFM) and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). The results demonstrate that the anodic aluminum dissolution and the cathodic oxygen reduction were accelerated by the increased temperature. However, as temperature was over60 °C, the solubility and concentration of oxygen decreased, resulting in the inhibition of cathodic reaction. The cathodic reaction rate of 3003 aluminum alloy rose to the maximum at 60 °C. The Warburg impedance in Nyquist diagram diminished and then was replaced by a negative capacitance caused by the absorption of intermediate corrosion product on electrode. On the other hand,after potentiodynamic measurements, 3003 aluminum alloy suffered pitting corrosion. 8Hydrothermal Dolomite in the Upper Sinian (Upper Proterozoic) Dengying Formation, East Sichuan Basin, China显示文摘Hydrothermal Dolomite(HTD) is present in the Upper Sinian(Upper Proterozoic) Dengying Formation, east Sichuan Basin, China. The strata are comprised by primary dolomite. The HTD has various textures, including zebra dolomite, subhorizontal sheet-like cavities filled by saddle dolomite and breccias cemented by saddle dolomites as well occur as a fill of veins and fractures. Also co-occur MVT type lead-zinc ores in the study area. The δ13C and δ18O isotopes of HTD in the Upper Sinian Dengying Formation are lighter than those of the host rocks, while 87Sr/86 Sr is higher. The apparent difference in carbon, oxygen and strontium isotopes, especially the large difference in 87Sr/86 Sr isotopes ratio indicate crystallization from hot basinal and/or hydrothermal fluids. Saddle dolomite was precipitated at temperatures of 270-320°C. The diagenetic parasequences of mineral assemblage deposited in the Dengying Formation are:(1) dolomite host rock →sphalerite-galena-barite-fluorite;(2) dolomite host rock →saddle dolomite →quartz;(3) dolomite host rock → saddle dolomite→bitumen;(4) dolomite host rock → saddle dolomite → barite. The mean chemical composition of the host dolomite matrix and HTD didn't change much during hydrothermal process. The fluids forming the HTDs in the Dengying Formation were mixtures of freshwater from the unconformity at the top of Sinian, fluids from diagenetic compaction and hydrocarbon generation & expulsion from the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation mudstones or the Doushantuo Formation silty mudstones, and hydrothermal fluids from the basement. The hydrocarbon reservoirs associated with the HTD were mostly controlled by the basement faults and fractures and karsting processes at the unconformity separating Sinian and Cambrian strata. The hydrocarbon storage spaces of HTD included dissolved cavities and intercrystalline pores. Dissolution cavities are extensive at the top of Dengying Formation, up to about 46 m below the unconformity between Sinian and Cambrian and were generated mainly during karstification. Hydrothermal alteration enhanced the reservoir property of the Dengying Formation dolomites with 3%-5% increase in porosity. No agreement has been reached why zebra dolomite occurs only in the Upper Sinian strata, which would indicate that HTD mineralization occurred during two different periods, each of them related to major extensional tectonic event. The early one related to the Xingkai taphrogenesis(Z2-?1)and the later one to the Emei taphrogenesis(D2-T2). 9Carbon dioxide capture using polyethylenimine-loaded mesoporous carbons显示文摘A high efficiency sorbent for CO2 capture was developed by loading polyethylenimine (PEI) on mesoporous carbons which possessed well-developed mesoporous structures and large pore volume. The physicochemical properties of the sorbent were characterized by N2 adsorption/desorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal gravimetric analysis (TG) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) techniques followed by testing for CO2 capture. Factors that affected the sorption capacity of the sorbent were studied. The sorbent exhibited extraordinary capture capacity with CO2 concentration ranging from 5% to 80%. The optimal PEI loading was determined to be 65 wt.% with a CO2 sorption capacity of 4.82 mmol-CO2 /g-sorbent in 15% CO2 /N2 at 75°C, owing to low mass-transfer resistance and a high utilization ratio of the amine compound (63%). Moisture had a promoting effect on the sorption separation of CO2 . In addition, the developed sorbent could be regenerated easily at 100°C, and it exhibited excellent regenerability and stability. 10Preparation of bimodal grain size 7075 aviation aluminum alloys and their corrosion properties显示文摘The bimodal grain size metals show improved strength and ductility compared to traditional metals; however, their corrosion properties are unknown. In order to evaluate the corrosion properties of these metals, the bimodal grain size 7075 aviation aluminum alloys containing different ratios of coarse(100 μm in diameter) and fine(10 μm in diameter) grains were prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS). The effects of grain size as well as the mixture degree of coarse and fine grains on general corrosion were estimated by immersion tests, electrochemical measurements and complementary techniques such as scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electron microscope-energy disperse spectroscopy(TEM-EDS). The results show that, compared to fine grains, the coarse grains have a faster dissolution rate in acidic NaCl solution due to the bigger size,higher alloying elements content and larger area fraction of second phases in them. In coarse grains,the hydrogen ions have a faster reduction rate on cathodic second phases, therefore promoting the corrosion propagation. 13Genetic analysis and fine mapping of an enclosed panicle mutant esp2 in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘The phenomenon of panicle enclosure in rice is mainly caused by the shortening of uppermost internode.Elucidating the molecular mechanism of panicle enclosure will be helpful for solving the problem of panicle enclosure in male sterile lines and creating new germplasms in rice.We acquired a monogenic recessive enclosed panicle mutant,named as esp2 (enclosed shorter panicle 2),from the tissue culture progeny of indica rice cultivar Minghui-86.In the mutant,panicles were entirely enclosed by flag leaf sheaths and the uppermost internode was almost completely degenerated,but the other internodes did not have obvious changes in length.Genetic analysis indicated that the mutant phenotype was controlled by a recessive gene,which could be steadily inherited and was not affected by genetic background.Apparently,ESP2 is a key gene for the development of uppermost internode in rice.Using an F 2 population of a cross between esp2 and a japonica rice cultivar Xiushui-13 as well as SSR and InDel markers,we fine mapped ESP2 to a 14-kb region on the end of the short arm of chromosome 1.According to the rice genome sequence annotation,only one intact gene exists in this region,namely,a putative phosphatidylserine synthase gene.Sequencing analysis on the mutant and the wild type indicated that this gene was inserted by a 5287-bp retrotransposon sequence.Hence,we took this gene as a candidate of ESP2.The results of this study will facilitate the cloning and functional analysis of ESP2 gene.GUAN HuaZhong DUAN YuanLin LIU HuaQing CHEN ZhiWei ZHUO Ming ZHUANG LiJun QI WenMing PAN RunSen MAO DaMei ZHOU YuanChang WANG Feng WU WeiRen 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,14:6
14Multispectral image edge detection via Clifford gradient显示文摘The edge detection of a multispectral image with a mass of image information is theoretically expected to give a more accurate edge.Clifford algebra is more suitable for processing multidimensional data and expressing the data association than general algebra.First,the basic properties of Clifford algebra are introduced.Second,the Clifford algebra description of a multispectral image is introduced.Then,a novel multispectral image edge detection algorithm is proposed in terms of the Clifford gradient.In the first two experiments,comparison of the detail achieved by the new algorithm with that from the maximal entropy edge detection algorithm reveals that the edge detection based on Clifford gradient is better at retaining and identifying edge information of the multispectral image than the maximal entropy edge detection algorithm.The experiments using tuberculosis CT image show that the new algorithm has clinical value in reducing risk of misdiagnosis.XU Chen LIU Hui CAO WenMing FENG JiQiang 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,2:6
15Public Proof of Cloud Storage from Lattice Assumption显示文摘Cloud storage can provide flexible and scalable data storage services to users. However, once data is uploaded to the cloud without a copy in local computers,the user loses control of the data physically. So, it is necessary to study a method to ensure users' data integrity.Avoiding retrieving enormous storage data or checking the data by users, a proof of storage protocol with public auditing was proposed based on the lattice cryptography. The user computed the signatures of the blocks, and outsourced them to cloud servers. Cloud service providers combined the blocks. Third party auditor verified all blocks' integrity only through the combined message and signature. Based on the Small integer solution assumption, the presented protocol is secure against the lost attack and tamper attack from cloud service providers. Based on the Learning with error assumption, the presented protocol is secure against the curiosity attack from third party auditor. 17Design,modeling and experimental investigation of a magnetically modulated rotational energy harvester for low frequency and irregular vibration显示文摘Vibration energy harvesting is a promising approach for sustainable energy generation from ambience to meet the development of self-powered systems.Here,we propose a novel compact non-resonant magnetically modulated rotational energy harvester(MMR-EH)for low frequency and irregular vibration.Through the rational arrangement of multiple magnetic fields in space,a ring route with low potential energy is established.A movable magnet can be non-contact modulated by the magnetic force to move along the ring route under irregular vibration,which is instrumental in electromechanical energy conversion.A dynamic model of the MMR-EH is developed based on the energy method and verified experimentally.The effects of key parameters on the magnetically modulated route are analysed.The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the MMR-EH can effectively harvest the energy from ultra-low frequency(3 Hz)and irregular vibration.At a reciprocating vibration frequency of 10 Hz and an amplitude of 20 mm,the harvester can produce an average power of 0.29 mW.ZHAO LinChuan ZOU HongXiang GAO QiuHua YAN Ge WU ZhiYuan LIU FengRui WEI KeXiang YANG Bin ZHANG WenMing 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10:5
18Methane dry reforming on Ni/La_2Zr_2O_7 treated by plasma in different atmospheres显示文摘A series of Ni/La2Zr2O7 pyrochlore catalysts prepared by impregnation method and treated by dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma in different atmospheres and varied sequences were prepared and applied for dry reforming of methane(DRM). It is found that all of the plasma treated catalysts show evidently improved activity and coke resistance in comparison with the non-plasma treated one. The best performance is achieved on Ni/La2Zr2O7–H2P–C,a catalyst treated in H2 plasma before calcination. TGA-DSC and SEM demonstrate that carbon deposition is significantly suppressed on all of the plasma treated samples. Moreover,XRD and TEM results testify that both Ni O and Ni sizes on the calcined and reduced samples treated by plasma are also decreased,which results in higher Ni metal dispersion on the reduced and used catalysts and enhances the interactions between Ni sites and the support. 19The nucleoprotein of severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus processes a stable hexameric ring to facilitate RNA encapsidation显示文摘Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),a member of the Phlebovirus genus from the Bunyaviridae family endemic to China,is the causative agent of life-threatening severe fever with thrombocyto-penia syndrome(SFTS),which features high fever and hemorrhage.Similar to other negative-sense RNA viruses,SFTSV encodes a nucleocapsid protein(NP)that is essen-tial for viral replication.NP facilitates viral RNA encapsida-tion and is responsible for the formation of ribonucleopro-tein complex.However,recent studies have indicated that NP from Phlebovirus members behaves in inhomogene-ous oligomerization states.In the present study,we report the crystal structure of SFTSV NP at 2.8Åresolution and demonstrate the mechanism by which it processes a ring-shaped hexameric form to accomplish RNA encapsida-tion.Key residues essential for oligomerization are identi-fi ed through mutational analysis and identifi ed to have a signifi cant impact on RNA binding,which suggests that correct formation of highly ordered oligomers is a criti-cal step in RNA encapsidation.The fi ndings of this work provide new insights into the discovery of new antiviral reagents for Phlebovirus infection.Honggang Zhou Yuna Sun Ying Wang Min Liu Chao Liu Wenming Wang Xiang Liu Le Li Fei Deng Hualin Wang Yu Guo Zhiyong Lou 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,6:4
20The Tibetan Plateau Surface–Atmosphere Coupling System and Its Weather and Climate Effects: The Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP) is a key area affecting forecasts of weather and climate in China and occurrences of extreme weather and climate events over the world. The China Meteorological Administration, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly initiated the Third Tibetan Plateau Atmospheric Science Experiment(TIPEX-Ⅲ) in 2013, with an 8–10-yr implementation plan. Since its preliminary field measurements conducted in 2013, routine automatic sounding systems have been deployed at Shiquanhe, Gaize, and Shenzha stations in western TP, where no routine sounding observations were available previously. The observational networks for soil temperature and soil moisture in the central and western TP have also been established. Meanwhile, the plateau-scale and regional-scale boundary layer observations, cloud–precipitation microphysical observations with multiple radars and aircraft campaigns, and tropospheric–stratospheric air composition observations at multiple sites, were performed. The results so far show that the turbulent heat exchange coefficient and sensible heat flux are remarkably lower than the earlier estimations at grassland, meadow, and bare soil surfaces of the central and western TP. Climatologically, cumulus clouds over the main body of the TP might develop locally instead of originating from the cumulus clouds that propagate northward from South Asia. The TIPEX-Ⅲ observations up to now also reveal diurnal variations, macro-and microphysical characteristics, and water-phase transition mechanisms, of cumulus clouds at Naqu station. Moreover, TIPEX-Ⅲ related studies have proposed a maintenance mechanism responsible for the Asian 'atmospheric water tower' and demonstrated the effects of the TP heating anomalies on African, Asian, and North American climates. Additionally, numerical modeling studies show that the Γ distribution of raindrop size is more suitable for depicting the TP raindrop characteristics compared to the M–P distribution, the overestimation of sensible heat flux can be reduced via modifying the heat transfer parameterization over the TP, and considering climatic signals in some key areas of the TP can improve the skill for rainfall forecast in the central and eastern parts of China.
