| 3 | Climate effects of the GlobeLand30 land cover dataset on the Beijing Climate Center climate model simulations显示文摘Land cover is one of the most basic input elements of land surface and climate models. Currently, the direct and indirect effects of land cover data on climate and climate change are receiving increasing attentions. In this study, a high resolution(30 m) global land cover dataset(Globe Land30) produced by Chinese scientists was, for the first time, used in the Beijing Climate Center Climate System Model(BCC_CSM) to assess the influences of land cover dataset on land surface and climate simulations. A two-step strategy was designed to use the Globe Land30 data in the model. First, the Globe Land30 data were merged with other satellite remote sensing and climate datasets to regenerate plant functional type(PFT) data fitted for the BCC_CSM. Second, the up-scaling based on an area-weighted approach was used to aggregate the fine-resolution Globe Land30 land cover type and area percentage with the coarser model grid resolutions globally. The Globe Land30-based and the BCC_CSM-based land cover data had generally consistent spatial distribution features, but there were some differences between them. The simulation results of the different land cover type dataset change experiments showed that effects of the new PFT data were larger than those of the new glaciers and water bodies(lakes and wetlands). The maximum value was attained when dataset of all land cover types were changed. The positive bias of precipitation in the mid-high latitude of the northern hemisphere and the negative bias in the Amazon, as well as the negative bias of air temperature in part of the southern hemisphere, were reduced when the Globe Land30-based data were used in the BCC_CSM atmosphere model. | 4 | Spatial and temporal distributions of nitrogen,phosphorus and heavy metals in the intertidal sediment of the Chang jiang River Estuary in China显示文摘Spatial and temporal distributions of nutrients(N and P) and heavy metals(Cu,Zn,Pb and Cd) in the intertidal sediments at Dongtan wetland of the Changjiang River(Yangtze River) Estuary were examined by laying one transect running seaward to landward during January,April,June,August and October of 2005. Total nitrogen(TN) and heavy metal concentrations in the intertidal sediment showed an increasing trend from open bare flat to the high marsh,with the maximum concentrations in the high marsh and the minimum values in open bare flat. In contrast,sediment total phosphorus(TP) concentrations changed little among sampling sites. One-way ANOVA found that there were significantly temporal variations of nutrients and heavy metals concentrations in the intertidal sediment(P <0.05) . The concentrations of heavy metals generally showed an increasing trend from January to October. Thus, there is a need to study the detail of icing effect and the process of ice accretion on the aircraft. In this paper, considering three different icing models according to weather conditions, i.e., sharp-angled ice, blunt-nosed ice and double horn ice, the Reynolds-averaged N-S equations and the S-A turbulence model are used to analyze the flow field for an iced wing/body configuration with a multi-block strategy and structured grid technique. The numerical result is compared with the experimental data. A flow solver is developed based on the Euler equations to investigate the ice accretion process. The droplets are tracked by using the Lagrangian method. In addition, a revised Messinger model is proposed to simulate the ice accretion. This numerical simulation is conducted for the ice accretion on an M6 wing and a wing/body/tail configuration. | 7 | Effect of growth time on morphology and photovoltaic properties of ZnO nanowire array films显示文摘Single-crystalline ZnO nanowire arrays with different aspect ratios and nanowire densities were prepared by the hydrothermal growing method using polyethyleneimine (PEI) as a surfactant. PEI can only hinder the lateral growth of the ZnO nanowires, which is observed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) analysis. Dye-sensitized solar cells were assembled by the ZnO nanowire arrays with different thicknesses, which can be controlled by the growing time and characterized using photocurrent-voltage measurements. Their photocurrent densities and energy allover conversion efficiencies increased with increasing ZnO nanowire lengths. | 8 | S-wave velocity of the crust around Tianshan Mountains inverted from seismic ambient noise tomography显示文摘We process ambient noise data from seismic stations deployed in central Asia to determine the crustal shear wave velocity structure beneath the Tianshan Mountians and surrounding area.About 748 inter-station Rayleigh wave empirical Green's functions have been recovered to estimate the phase velocity dispersions over periods from 6 to 50 s using the image transformation technique.Results show that for short periods(6-20 s),the distribution of Rayleigh wave phase velocities is generally consistent with surface geology,with high velocities corresponding to mountain ranges and low velocities to sedimentary basins.Along two profiles,which trend from NE-SW and NW-SE,the shear wave velocity shows a pair of high velocity anomalies dipping in opposite directions beneath the Tianshan Mountains.At shallow depths,those high velocity anomalies roughly correlate with areas where the mountain front and the surrounding basin are connected.The profiles also show a narrow zone beneath the Tianshan Mountains,which may represent a route for the upwelling from upper mantle.Those observations suggest that the underthrusting of the Tarim Basin and Kazakh Shield combine with the weakness of the crust,which is heated by the upwelling from upper mantle,may play an important role on the reactivation of the Tianshan Mountains associated with the India-Eurasia collision. | GUO Zhi GAO Xing WANG WeiMin LI GuiLin DUAN ZongQi SHI Heng | 2010 | Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,31: | 4 |

To find a solution of the phreatic surface which is convenient to put into use and in accordance with the practice, the article, based on Boussinesq equation, infers analytic solutions suitable to the water level at different ratios and achieves an analytic solution equation through fitting curves. The correctness of the equation is also proved by the experiments of sand and sand-clay models and the inaccuracy of empirical generalization is analyzed quantitatively. | 20 | Mode selection and high-quality upconversion lasing from perovskite CsPb2Br5 microplates显示文摘In recent years,halide perovskite nanostructures have had great advances and have opened up a bright future for micro/nanolasers.However,upconversion lasing by two-photon excitation with mode selection and high quality factor in one device is still rarely reported.Herein,two lasing modes are demonstrated in the all-inorganic perovskite CsPb2Br5 microplates with subwavelength thickness and uniform square shape.The net optical gain is quickly established in less than 1 ps and persists more than 30 ps,revealed by ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy.The temperature-dependent low-threshold amplified spontaneous emission confirms the net gain for stimulated emission with a high characteristic temperature of 403 K,far surpassing the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 semiconductor gain media.Remarkably,upconversion lasing based on two kinds of microcavity effects,Fabry–Pérot and whispering-gallery modes,from the microplates at room temperature is successfully achieved with a low threshold operating in multi-or single-mode,respectively.Surprisingly,the quality factor(~3551)is among the best values obtained from perovskite micro/nanoplate upconversion lasers without an external cavity.Moreover,the highly stable chromaticity with color drift only less than 0.1 nm also outbalances the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 ones.These superior performances of CsPb2Br5 microplate lasing with a facile solution synthesis procedure will offer a feasible structure to fabricate specific functionalities for high-performance frequency upconversion micro/nanoscale photonic integrated devices. | ZHENGZHENG LIU CHUNWEI WANG ZHIPING HU JUAN DU JIE YANG ZEYU ZHANG TONGCHAO SHI WEIMIN LIU XIAOSHENG TANG AND YUXIN LENG | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,9: | 2 |
