| 4 | Regulation of extracellular bioactive cations in bone tissue microenvironment induces favorable osteoimmune conditions to accelerate in situ bone regeneration显示文摘The design of orthopedic biomaterials has gradually shifted from“immune-friendly”to“immunomodulatory,”in which the biomaterials are able to modulate the inflammatory response via macrophage polarization in a local immune microenvironment that favors osteogenesis and implant-to-bone osseointegration.Despite the well-known effects of bioactive metallic ions on osteogenesis,how extracellular metallic ions manipulate immune cells in bone tissue microenvironments toward osteogenesis and subsequent bone formation has rarely been studied.Herein,we investigate the osteoimmunomodulatory effect of an extracellular bioactive cation(Mg^(2+))in the bone tissue microenvironment using custom-made poly lactic-co-glycolic acid(PLGA)/MgO-alendronate microspheres that endow controllable release of magnesium ions.The results suggest that the Mg^(2+)-controlled tissue microenvironment can effectively induce macrophage polarization from the M0 to M2 phenotype via the enhancement of anti-inflammatory(IL-10)and pro-osteogenic(BMP-2 and TGF-β1)cytokines production.It also generates a favorable osteoimmune microenvironment that facilitates the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells.The in vivo results further verify that a large amount of bony tissue,with comparable bone mineral density and mechanical properties,has been generated at an early post-surgical stage in rat intramedullary bone defect models.This study demonstrates that the concept of in situ immunomodulated osteogenesis can be realized in a controlled magnesium tissue microenvironment. | Zhengjie Lin Danni Shen Weixiao Zhou Yufeng Zheng Tiantian Kong Xuanyong Liu Shuilin Wu Paul K.Chu Ying Zhao Jun Wu Kenneth M.C.Cheung Kelvin W.K.Yeung | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,8: | 5 |
| 5 | Evaluation of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 status of breast cancer using preoperative multidetector computed tomography with deep learning and handcrafted radiomics features显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)status in patients with breast cancer using multidetector computed tomography(MDCT)-based handcrafted and deep radiomics features.Methods:This retrospective study enrolled 339 female patients(primary cohort,n=177;validation cohort,n=162)with pathologically confirmed invasive breast cancer.Handcrafted and deep radiomics features were extracted from the MDCT images during the arterial phase.After the feature selection procedures,handcrafted and deep radiomics signatures and the combined model were built using multivariate logistic regression analysis.Performance was assessed by measures of discrimination,calibration,and clinical usefulness in the primary cohort and validated in the validation cohort.Results:The handcrafted radiomics signature had a discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.739[95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.661-0.818]in the primary cohort and 0.695(95%CI:0.609-0.781)in the validation cohort.The deep radiomics signature also had a discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.760(95%CI:0.690-0.831)in the primary cohort and 0.777(95%CI:0.696-0.857)in the validation cohort.The combined model,which incorporated both the handcrafted and deep radiomics signatures,showed good discriminative ability with a C-index of 0.829(95%CI:0.767-0.890)in the primary cohort and 0.809(95%CI:0.740-0.879)in the validation cohort.Conclusions:Handcrafted and deep radiomics features from MDCT images were associated with HER2 status in patients with breast cancer.Thus,these features could provide complementary aid for the radiological evaluation of HER2 status in breast cancer. | Xiaojun Yang Lei Wu Ke Zhao Weitao Ye Weixiao Liu Yingyi Wang Jiao Li Hanxiao Li Xiaomei Huang Wen Zhang Yanqi Huang Xin Chen Su Yao Zaiyi Liu Changhong Liang | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,2: | 4 |

| 9 | Effects of Dietary Protein and Fat Levels on Growth Performance and Serum Biochemical Parameters of Male Mink显示文摘This experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary protein and fat levels on growth performance and serum biochemical parameters of male minks during the growing period. A total of 90 healthy male minks at the age of 60 d were randomly assigned into six groups with 15 replicates per group and one mink per replicate. The minks were fed six experimental diets with two protein levels( 32% and 36%) and three fat levels( 10%,20% and 30%) for a 7-day preliminary period and then for 60-day experimental period. The results showed that the final body weight and average daily weight gain( ADWG) were significantly higher in low-protein,middle-fat group and low-protein,high-fat group than those in low-protein,low-fat group and high-protein,low-fat group( P < 0. 01). The final weight and ADWG were increased with dietary fat level increasing,and the two indices of 20% and 30% fat groups were significantly higher than those of 10%fat groups( P < 0. 01). The ratio of feed intake to weight gain( F/G) in low-protein,high-fat group was the lowest,which was significantly lower than that in lowprotein,low-fat group and high-protein,high-fat group( P < 0. 05). Serum urea nitrogen( UN) in low-protein,high-fat group was significantly lower than that in other groups( P < 0. 01). Serum alanine transaminase( ALT) activity in 32% protein groups was significantly higher than that in 36% protein groups( P < 0. 05). Serum triglyceride( TG) content in low-protein,high-fat group and high-protein,high-fat group was significantly higher than that in low-protein,low-fat group and high-protein,low-fat groups( P < 0. 05). Serum TG,total cholesterol( TCHO) and high-density lipoprotein( HDL) contents increased with the increase in dietary fat level,and they were all the highest in low-protein,high-fat group. The growth performance and serum biochemical parameters of minks were not affected by the interaction between dietary protein and fat levels( P > 0. 05). | 11 | An experimental system for release simulation of internal stores in a supersonic wind tunnel显示文摘Aerodynamic parameters obtained from separation experiments of internal stores in a wind tunnel are significant in aircraft designs. Accurate wind tunnel tests can help to improve the release stability of the stores and in-flight safety of the aircrafts in supersonic environments.A simulative system for free drop experiments of internal stores based on a practical project is provided in this paper. The system contains a store release mechanism, a control system and an attitude measurement system. The release mechanism adopts a six-bar linkage driven by a cylinder, which ensures the release stability. The structure and initial aerodynamic parameters of the stores are also designed and adjusted. A high speed vision measurement system for high speed rolling targets is utilized to measure the pose parameters of the internal store models and an optimizing method for the coordinates of markers is presented based on a priori model. The experimental results show excellent repeatability of the system, and indicate that the position measurement precision is less than0.13 mm, and the attitude measurement precision for pitch and yaw angles is less than 0.126°, satisfying the requirements of practical wind tunnel tests. | 12 | Origin of the hydrate bound gases in the Juhugeng Sag, Muli Basin, Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Juhugeng Sag,located in northwest of the Muli Basin,Tibetan Plateau,has been investigated for coal and petroleum resources during the past several decades.There have been successful recoveries of gas hydrates during recent years from the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Formation that offer insight into the origin of the hydrocarbon gases from the complex sag feature.This study examines the organic geochemical and stable carbon isotopic characteristics of shale and coal samples from the Middle Jurassic Yaojie Formation of the Juhugeng Sag,as well as compares with carbon isotopes,gas amounts and components of hydrate-bound gas.A total of 19 samples from surface mining,including 12 samples of black shale and 7 samples of coal,were analysed using a micro-photometer,a gas chromatograph,Rock–Eval and isotope methods.All the shale samples contained 100%type I kerogen,and the random vitrinite reflectance values vary from 0.65%to 1.32%and achieve thermal pyrolysis phase.Isotope values of methane(δ13C ranging from−52.6‰to−39.5‰andδD ranging from−285‰to−227‰)in the hydrate bound gases suggest that the methane originates mainly from thermogenic contributions.It is proposed that ethane from the gas hydrate is thermogenic-produced,and this conjecture is supported by the fact that most of the gas hydrate also contains more than 30%of thermogenic C2+hydrocarbons and is similar to structure II hydrate.Carbon isotope data from the gas hydrates show a positive carbon isotope series(δ13C1<δ13C2<δ13C3),with ethaneδ13C values being lighter than−28.5‰,as high consistency with source rocks from the Jurassic period indicate thermal oil-prone gas.A model of the accumulation of gas hydrate is plotted.However,the gaseous sources of gas hydrates may be a subject for more research. | Shiming Liu Furong Tan Ting Huo Shuheng Tang Weixiao Zhao Haide Chao | 2020 | International Journal of Coal Science & Technology2020,7,1: | 0 |
| 13 | Understanding the alkyl effect of geminal dinitropropyl ester energetic plasticizers on hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene(HTPB):Simultaneous tuning on low temperature behavior and processability显示文摘Geminal dinitropropyl ester plasticizers(DNPEPs) possess excellent energetic performances which provide good potentials as insensitive plasticizer. In this study, we design and synthesize DNPEPs with different alkane chain parts, and systematically investigate their structure-property relationships.Results show that DNPEPs have impact sensitivities all higher than 25.2 J, thermal decomposition temperatures all higher than 254 ℃, and glass transition temperatures(T_(g)) lower than-90 ℃.Furthermore, the effects of DNPEPs as plasticizer are studied on hydroxyl terminated polybutadiene(HTPB) in detail, including the viscosity, glass transition temperatures and others. | 14 | Microbial responses to the use of NaClO in sediment treatment显示文摘Chlorine is often used in algal removal and deodorization of landscape waters,and occasionally used as an emergency treatment of heavily polluted sediments.However,the ecological impact of this practice has not been fully studied and recognized.In this study,NaClO at 0.1 mmol/g based on dry weight sediment was evenly mixed into the polluted sediment,and then the sediment was incubated for 150 days to evaluate its microbial effect.Results showed that NaClO addition enhanced the release of TOC,TN,Cr and Cu from the sediment.The microbial richness in the examined sediment decreased continuously,and the Chao1 index declined from 4241 to 2731,in 150 days.The microbial community composition was also changed.The abundance of Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes increased to 54.8%and 4.2%within 7 days compared to the control,and linear discriminant analysis(LDA)showed gram-negative bacteria and aerobic bacteria enriched after chlorination.The functional prediction with PICRUSt2 showed the functions of the microbial community underwent major adjustments,and the metabolic-related functions such as carbon metabolism,including pyruvate and methane metabolisms were significantly inhibited;besides,15 out of 22 analyzed key enzymes involved in C cycling and 6 out of 12 key enzymes or genes involved in N cycling were strongly impacted,and the enzymes and genes involved in carbon degradation and denitrification showed remarkable downregulation.It can be concluded that chlorination posed a seriously adverse effect on microbial community structure and function.This study deepens the understanding of the ecological effects of applying chlorine for environmental remediation. | Kun Li Tingming Ye Wang Zhang Jianfeng Peng Yaohui Bai Weixiao Qi Huijuan Liu | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,2: | 0 |

| 16 | Oxygen-contact charge transfer complexes in organic bicomponent systems显示文摘The O-2-CCT absorption spectra of bicomponent systems were measured. The influences of various organic compounds as well as the component concentration on the O-2-CCT formation ability were investigated. The results show that if the difference of O-2-CCT formation ability between the two components is rather large, such as the benzene/isopropyl ether system, only the O-2-CCT absorption of benzene appears, which arises from its higher O-2-CCT formation ability. If the difference of O-2-CCT formation ability is small, such as the isopropyl ether/ethanol system and the dioxane/isopropyl ether system, it is rather easy to form a dynamic equilibrium of two O-2-CCT between the two components, then only one absorption peak appears in the whole concentration range as a result of the repeated addition of the two kinds of O-2-CCT absorption. | 19 | Drop impact dynamic and directional transport on dragonfly wing surface显示文摘The ability of dragonflies to fly in the rain without being wetted by raindrops has motivated researchers to investigate the impact behavior of a drop on the superhydrophobic wings of dragonflies.This superhydrophobic surface is used as a reference for the design of directional surfaces and has attracted extensive attention owing to its wide applicability in microfluidics,self-cleaning,and other fields.In this study,the static contact angle and rebound process of a drop impacting a dragonfly wing surface are investigated experimentally,whereas the wetting pressure,Gibbs free energy,and Stokes number vs.coefficient of restitution are theoretically calculated to examine the dynamic and unidirectional transport behaviors of the drop.Results show that the initial inclination angle of the dragonfly wing is similar to the sliding angles along with the drop sliding.The water drop bounces from the bottom of the dragonfly wing to the distal position,demonstrating directional migration.The drop impacts the dragonfly wing surface,and the drop exhibits compression,recovery,and separation phases;in these three phases,the drop morphology evolves.As the Gibbs free energy and cross-sectional area evolve,the coefficient of restitution decreases as the drop continues to bounce,and the Stokes number increases. | Jing XU Wenjun LIU Weixiao SHANG Jun CHEN Jiadi LIAN | 2023 | Friction2023,11,5: | 0 |
| 20 | Linearly shifting ferromagnetic resonance response of La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_(3) thin film for body temperature sensors显示文摘Human body temperature not only reflects vital signs,but also affects the state of various organs through blood circulation,and even affects lifespan.Here a wireless body temperature detection scheme was presented that the temperature was extracted by investigating the out-of-plane(OP)ferromagnetic resonance(FMR)field of 10.2 nm thick La_(0.7)Sr_(0.3)MnO_(3)(LSMO)film using electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)technique.Within the range of 34-42℃,the OP FMR field changes linearly with the increasing or decreasing temperature,and this variation comes from the linear responses of magnetization to the fluctuant temperature.Using this method,a tiny temperature change(<0.1℃)of organisms can be detected accurately and sensitively,which shows great potential in body temperature monitoring for humans and mammals. | Weixiao HOU Yufei YAO Yaojin LI Bin PENG Keqing SHI Ziyao ZHOU Jingye PAN Ming LIU Jifan HU | 2022 | Frontiers of Materials Science2022,16,1: | 0 |
