| 1 | Dynamic modeling of a hose-drogue aerial refueling system and integral sliding mode backstepping control for the hose whipping phenomenon显示文摘Dynamic modeling of a hose-drogue aerial refueling system(HDARS) and an integral sliding mode backstepping controller design for the hose whipping phenomenon(HWP) during probe-drogue coupling are studied. Firstly, a dynamic model of the variable-length hose-drogue assembly is built for the sake of exploiting suppression methods for the whipping phenomenon.Based on the lumped parameter method, the hose is modeled by a series of variable-length links connected with frictionless joints. A set of iterative equations of the hose's three-dimensional motion is derived subject to hose reeling in/out, tanker motion, gravity, and aerodynamic loads accounting for the effects of steady wind, atmospheric turbulence, and tanker wake. Secondly,relying on a permanent magnet synchronous motor and high-precision position sensors, a new active control strategy for the HWP on the basis of the relative position between the tanker and the receiver is proposed. Considering the strict-feedback configuration of the permanent magnet synchronous motor, a rotor position control law based on the backstepping method is designed to insure global stability. An integral of the rotor position error and an exponential sliding mode reaching law of the current errors are applied to enhance control accuracy and robustness. | 3 | Chemical kinetics study of hydrocarbon regeneration from organic matter in carbonate source rocks and its significance显示文摘In the comparison research of hydrocarbon regeneration, a low maturity carbonate source rock is heated to different temperatures in a gold tube to obtain a series of samples with different maturities. Then, the heated samples, before and after extraction, are subjected to Rock-Eval pyrolysis through a thermal simulation of hydrocarbon regeneration in order to inspect pyrolysis characteristics and probe into the characteristics of the chemical kinetics of each sample. The results indicate that, whether hy- drocarbon regeneration peak is delayed or advanced, the potential of hydrocarbon regeneration is closely related to the expulsion amount and breakdown maturity of primary hydrocarbon generation. After extraction, the average activation energy of artificially maturated samples increases with the in- creasing maturity, but the chemical kinetic properties of un-extracted samples decrease. The calibrated chemical kinetic models that describe extracted and un-extracted samples are applied to the Bohai Bay and the Songliao Basin, and the results indicate that the combination of the two models can explain some contradictory conclusions previously reported. | 4 | On extended state based Kalman filter design for a class of nonlinear time-varying uncertain systems显示文摘This paper considers the filtering problem for a class of multi-input multi-output systems with nonlinear time-varying uncertain dynamics, random process and measurement noise. An extended state based Kalman filter, with the idea of timely estimating the unknown dynamics, is proposed for better robustness and higher estimation precision. The stability of the proposed filter is rigorously proved for nonlinear timevarying uncertain system with weaker stability condition than the extended Kalman filter, i.e., the initial estimation error, the uncertain dynamics and the noises are only required to be bounded rather than small enough. Moreover, quantitative precision of the proposed filter is theoretically evaluated. The proposed algorithm is proved to be the asymptotic unbiased minimum variance filter for constant uncertainty. | 6 | Doping bioactive elements into a collagen scaffold based on synchronous self-assembly/mineralization for bone tissue engineering显示文摘Pure collagen is biocompatible but lacks inherent osteoinductive,osteoimmunomodulatory and antibacterial activities.To obtain collagen with these characteristics,we developed a novel methodology of doping bioactive elements into collagen through the synchronous self-assembly/mineralization(SSM)of collagen.In the SSM model,amorphous mineral nanoparticles(AMN)(amorphous SrCO3,amorphous Ag3PO4,etc.)stabilized by the polyampholyte,carboxymethyl chitosan(CMC),and collagen molecules were the primary components under acidic conditions.As the pH gradually increased,intrafibrillar mineralization occurred via the self-adaptive interaction between the AMNs and the collagen microfibrils,which were self-assembling;the AMNs wrapped around the microfibrils became situated in the gap zones of collagen and finally transformed into crystals.Srdoped collagen scaffolds(Sr-CS)promoted in vitro cell proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stromal cells(rBMSCs)and synergistically improved osteogenesis of rBMSCs by altering the macrophage response.Ag-doped collagen scaffolds(Ag-CS)exhibited in vitro antibacterial effects on S.aureus,as well as cell/tissue compatibility.Moreover,Sr-CS implanted into the calvarial defect of a rat resulted in improved bone regeneration.Therefore,the SSM model is a de novo synthetic strategy for doping bioactive elements into collagen,and can be used to fabricate multifunctional collagen scaffolds to meet the clinical challenges of encouraging osteogenesis,boosting the immune response and fighting severe infection in bone defects. | Huanhuan Liu Mingli Lin Xue Liu Ye Zhang Yuyu Luo Yanyun Pang Haitao Chen Dongwang Zhu Xue Zhong Shiqing Ma Yanhong Zhao Qiang Yang Xu Zhang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,4: | 6 |
| 7 | The role and clinical implications of microRNAs in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is common and one of the most aggressive of all human cancers. Recent studies have indicated that miRNAs, a class of small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression post-transcriptionally, directly contribute to HCC by targeting many critical regulatory genes. Several miRNAs are involved in hepatitis B or hepatitis C virus replication and virus-induced changes, whereas others participate in multiple intracellular signaling pathways that modulate apoptosis, cell cycle checkpoints, and growth-factor-stimulated responses. When disturbed, these pathways appear to result in malignant transformation and ultimately HCC development. Recently, miRNAs circulating in the blood have acted as possible early diagnostic markers for HCC. These miRNA also could serve as indicators with respect to drug efficacy and be prognostic in HCC patients. Such biomarkers would assist stratification of HCC patients and help direct personalized therapy. Here, we summarize recent advances regarding the role of miRNAs in HCC development and progression. | 8 | Correction Method of Light Hydrocarbons Losing and Heavy Hydrocarbon Handling for Residual Hydrocarbon (S_1) from Shale显示文摘In China, hot researches on shale oil were raised by the important breakthrough of shale oil in America. Obviously, the first important issue is the actual shale oil resource potential of China, and the selection of the key appraisement parameter is vital to the shale oil resource amount. Among the appraisement parameters, the oil content parameter(S1) is the key one, but the evaluation result is generally lower because of light hydrocarbon losing and heavy hydrocarbon handling. And the more important thing is that the light hydrocarbon with small molecular weight is more recoverable, and therefore its amount is important to the total shale oil yields. Based on pyrolysis experiments and the kinetic model of hydrocarbon generation, correction factors and a model of light hydrocarbon losing and heavy hydrocarbon handling were established. | 10 | A novel PTEN gene promoter mutation and untypical Cowden syndrome显示文摘Cowden syndrome (CS), an autosomal dominant disorder, is one of a spectrum of clinical disorders that have been linked to germline mutations in the phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) gene. Although 70-80% of patients with CS have an identifiable germline PTEN mutation, the clinical diagnosis presents many challenges because of the phenotypic and genotypic variations. In the present study, we sequenced the exons and the promoter of PTEN gene, mutations and variations in the promoter and exons were identified, and a PTEN protein expression negative region was determined by immunohistochemistry (IHC). | 11 | Scale-Dependent Nature of Porosity and Pore Size Distribution in Lacustrine Shales: An Investigation by BIB-SEM and X-Ray CT Methods显示文摘Due to heterogeneous pore distributions within shales,petrophysical properties of shales determined by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray computed tomography(CT) methods strongly depend on the observed domain size(analysis scale). In this paper,the influence of the analysis scale on areal and bulk porosities and pore size distribution(PSD) for lacustrine shales from the Dongying sag of Bohai Bay Basin,China were investigated using broad ion beam(BIB)-SEM and X-ray CT methods.The BIB-SEM cross-sections with high imaging resolution(10 nm/pixel) and a large field of view(>1 mm2)mainly describe the 2 D nanoscale pore system in the two shales(samples F41#-2 and Y556#-1),while CTbased 3 D reconstructions with resolutions of 0.42(F41#-1) and 0.5 μm/pixel(H172#-1) reflect the 3 D submicron pore system. The results indicate that the areal(bulk) porosity exhibits a multiple power-law distribution with increasing analysis area(volume),which can be used to extrapolate the porosity of a given area(volume). Based on SEM and CT investigations,the sizes of the minimum representative elementary areas(REAs) and volumes(REVs) were determined respectively,which are closely associated with the heterogeneousness of the pore system. Minimum REAs are proposed to be 2.93×10~4(F41#-2) and 0.91×10~4μm2(Y556#-1),and minimum REVs are 0.016(F41#-1) and 0.027 mm^3(H172#-1). As the analyzed areas(volumes) are larger than the minimum REA(REV),obtained 2 D(3 D) PSDs are comparable to each other and can be considered to reflect the shale PSD. | 13 | Molecular Fingerprints of Soil Organic Matter in a Typical Freshwater Wetland in Northeast China显示文摘Natural wetlands are known to store huge amounts of organic carbon in their soils. Despite the importance of this storage,uncertainties remain about the molecular characteristics of soil organic matter(SOM), a key factor governing the stability of soil organic carbon(SOC). In this study, the molecular fingerprints of SOM in a typical freshwater wetland in Northeast China were investigated using pyrolysis gas-chromatography/mass-spectrometry technology(Py-GC/MS). Results indicated that the SOC, total nitrogen(TN),and total sulfur contents of the cores varied between 16.88% and 45.83%, 0.93% and 2.82%, and 1.09% and 3.79%, respectively. The bulk δ^13C and δ^15N varied over a range of 9.85‰, between –26.85‰ and –17.00‰, and between –0.126‰ and 1.002‰, respectively. A total of 134 different pyrolytic products were identified, and they were grouped into alkyl(including n-alkanes(C:0) and n-alkenes(C:1),aliphatics(Al), aromatics(Ar), lignin(Lg), nitrogen-containing compounds(Nc), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs), phenols(Phs), polysaccharides(Ps), and sulfur-containing compounds(Sc). On average, Phs moieties accounted for roughly 24.11% peak areas of the total pyrolysis products, followed by Lg(19.27%), alkyl(18.96%), other aliphatics(12.39%), Nc compounds(8.08%), Ps(6.49%), aromatics(6.32%), Sc(3.26%), and PAHs(1.12%). Soil organic matter from wetlands had more Phs and Lg and less Nc moieties in pyrolytic products than soil organic matters from forests, lake sediments, pastures, and farmland.δ^13 C distribution patterns implied more C3 plant-derived soil organic matter, but the vegetation was in succession to C4 plant from C3 plant. Significant negative correlations between Lg or Ps proportions and C3 plant proportions were observed. Multiple linear analyses implied that the Ar and Al components had negative effects on SOC. Alkyl and Ar could facilitate ratios between SOC and total nitrogen(C/N), while Al plays the opposite role. Al was positively related to the ratio of dissolved organic carbon(DOC) to SOC. In summary, SOM of wetlands might characterize by more Phs and lignin and less Nc moieties in pyrolytic products. | 15 | Modeling and simulation of a time-varying inertia aircraft in aerial refueling显示文摘Studied in this paper is dynamic modeling and simulation application of the receiver aircraft with the time-varying mass and inertia property in an integrated simulation environment which includes two other significant factors, i.e., a hose–drogue assembly dynamic model with the variable-length property and the wind effect due to the tanker's trailing vortices. By extending equations of motion of a fixed weight aircraft derived by Lewis et al., a new set of equations of motion for a receiver in aerial refueling is derived. The equations include the time-varying mass and inertia property due to fuel transfer and the fuel consumption by engines, and the fuel tanks have a rectangle shape rather than a mass point. They are derived in terms of the translational and rotational position and velocity of the receiver with respect to an inertial reference frame. A linear quadratic regulator(LQR) controller is designed based on a group of linearized equations under the initial receiver mass condition. | 20 | Effects of Tidal Channels and Roads on Landscape Dynamic Distribution in the Yellow River Delta, China显示文摘Landscape characters in estuarine regions generally controlled by tidal regimes and human activities like road construction.In this work,tidal channels and road construction in the Yellow River Delta(YRD)were extracted by visual interpretation methods so as to decipher impacts of tidal channel development and road construction on landscape patch change during 1989–2016.Spatial distribution history of three wetlands,which covered by Phragmites australis(freshwater marsh,FM),Suaeda salsa(salt marsh,SM),and mudflats(MD)were also established.Results indicated that tidal channel,number,frequency,and fractal dimension were all the maximum in 2003,and the minimum in 1998,respectively.Road length,number,and density showed increasing trend during 1989–2016.MD were the predominant landscape type,followed by FM and SM during 1989-2016.Principal component analysis implied two extracted factors,F1 and F2,which could represent 91.93% of the total variations.F1 mainly proxied tidal channel development,while F2 represented road construction.A multiple linear regression analysis showed positive effects of both F1 and F2 on FM patch numbers and negative impacts on SM patch areaes with R^2 values of 0.416 and 0.599,respectively.Tidal channels were negatively related to MD patch numbers,while roads were positively related to that.In any case,road construction showed larger impacts on landscape type shifting than that of tidal channel development in the YRD. | YU Xiaojuan ZHANG Zhongsheng XUE Zhenshan WU Haitao ZHANG Hongri | 2020 | Chinese Geographical Science2020,30,1: | 2 |
