4Evolution of the ductile shear zone of the Paishanlou gold deposits,western Liaoning,China显示文摘The combination of field surveys with analysis of microstructure of tectonite and Electron Backscatter Diffraction(EBSD) on quartz fabric indicated that three periods of ductile shear events developed in the Paishanlou gold deposits and the E-W and NE-striking ductile shear zones were formed during each event.The E-W-striking ductile shear zone,accompanied by compressional and dextral shear slip,was shear-cut by the NE-striking shear zones,accompanied by compressional-sinistral shear slip and sinistral-normal shear slip,successively.An E-W-striking ductile shear zone developed at a deeper tectonic level and at middle- to high-temperatures,accompanied by abundant microstructures,including microlayering between a polycrystal quartz belt and mica,and quartz deformation was depended on cylinder(10-10) or glide.The development of an E-W-striking shear zone can be seen as a tectonic pattern in the region of the Paishanlou gold deposits of the collision between the Mongolian tectonic belt and the North Archean Craton from Suolun to the Linxi suture zone during the Indosinian.The NE-striking ductile shear zone developed approximately 160 Ma during the early Yianshanian at middle to shallow tectonic levels and at middle- to low-temperatures,accompanied by typical microstructures,including polycrystal quartz aggregation and quartz subgrain rotation recrystallization,etc.,and quartz deformation was depended on prismatic(1011) glide.The last ductile shear event around the NE-striking shear zone developed at low temperatures and shallow tectonic levels,yielding to a pre-existing NE-striking shear zone,accompanied by abundant microstructures,including low-temperature quartz grain boundary migration and bulging recrystallization.The last ductile shear movement may be related to lithosphere thinning and the destruction of the North China Craton from approximately 130-120 Ma,and this shear event resulted directly in the mineralization in the Paishanlou region.NI JinLong LIU JunLai TANG XiaoLing ZHAO ChunQiang ZENG QingDong 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,4:1

9Osteocyte Egln1/Phd2 links oxygen sensing and biomineralization via FGF23显示文摘Osteocytes act within a hypoxic environment to control key steps in bone formation.FGF23,a critical phosphate-regulating hormone,is stimulated by low oxygen/iron in acute and chronic diseases,however the molecular mechanisms directing this process remain unclear.Our goal was to identify the osteocyte factors responsible for FGF23 production driven by changes in oxygen/iron utilization.Hypoxia-inducible factor-prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors(HIF-PHI)which stabilize HIF transcription factors,increased Fgf23 in normal mice,as well as in osteocyte-like cells;in mice with conditional osteocyte Fgf23 deletion,circulating i FGF23 was suppressed.An inducible MSC cell line(‘MPC2’)underwent FG-4592 treatment and ATACseq/RNAseq,and demonstrated that differentiated osteocytes significantly increased HIF genomic accessibility versus progenitor cells.Integrative genomics also revealed increased prolyl hydroxylase Egln1(Phd2)chromatin accessibility and expression,which was positively associated with osteocyte differentiation.In mice with chronic kidney disease(CKD),Phd1-3 enzymes were suppressed,consistent with FGF23 upregulation in this model.Conditional loss of Phd2 from osteocytes in vivo resulted in upregulated Fgf23,in line with our findings that the MPC2 cell line lacking Phd2(CRISPR Phd2-KO cells)constitutively activated Fgf23 that was abolished by HIF1αblockade.In vitro,Phd2-KO cells lost iron-mediated suppression of Fgf23 and this activity was not compensated for by Phd1 or-3.In sum,osteocytes become adapted to oxygen/iron sensing during differentiation and are directly sensitive to bioavailable iron.Further,Phd2 is a critical mediator of osteocyte FGF23 production,thus our collective studies may provide new therapeutic targets for skeletal diseases involving disturbed oxygen/iron sensing.Megan L.Noonan Pu Ni Emmanuel Solis Yamil G.Marambio Rafiou Agoro Xiaona Chu Yue Wang Hongyu Gao Xiaoling Xuei Erica L.Clinkenbeard Guanglong Jiang Sheng Liu Steve Stegen Geert Carmeliet William R.Thompson Yunlong Liu Jun Wan Kenneth E.White 2023Bone Research2023,11,1:1

11KRAS G12D mutation eliminates reactive oxygen species through the Nrf2/CSE/H_(2)S axis and contributes to pancreatic cancer growth显示文摘In pancreatic cancer,KRAS G12D can trigger pancreatic cancer initiation and development.Rapid tumor growth is often accompanied by excess intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)production,which is unfavorable to tumor.However,the regulation of intracellular ROS levels in KRAS mutant pancreatic cancer remains unclear.In this study,we establish BxPC3 stable cell strains expressing KRAS wild type(WT)and G12D mutation and find unchanged ROS levels despite higher glycolysis and proliferation viability in KRAS mutant cells than KRAS WT cells.The key hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S)-generating enzyme cystathionine-γ-lyase(CSE)is upregulated in KRAS mutant BxPC3 cells,and its knockdown significantly increases intracellular ROS levels and decreases cell glycolysis and proliferation.Nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)is activated by KRAS mutation to promote CSE transcription.An Nrf2 binding site(‒47/‒39 bp)in the CSE promoter is verified.CSE overexpression and the addition of NaHS after Nrf2 knockdown or inhibition by brusatol decreases ROS levels and rescues cell proliferation.Our study reveals the regulatory mechanism of intracellular ROS levels in KRAS mutant pancreatic cancer cells,which provides a potential target for pancreatic cancer therapy.Kun Fan Shulong Zhang Xiaojian Ni Sheng Shen Jiwen Wang Wentao Sun Tao Suo Han Liu Xiaoling Ni Houbao Liu 2022Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11:0
12Reliability evaluation of high-performance,low-power FinFET standard cells based on mixed RBB/FBB technique显示文摘With shrinking transistor feature size,the fin-type field-effect transistor(FinFET) has become the most promising option in low-power circuit design due to its superior capability to suppress leakage.To support the VLSI digital system flow based on logic synthesis,we have designed an optimized high-performance low-power FinFET standard cell library based on employing the mixed FBB/RBB technique in the existing stacked structure of each cell.This paper presents the reliability evaluation of the optimized cells under process and operating environment variations based on Monte Carlo analysis.The variations are modelled with Gaussian distribution of the device parameters and 10000 sweeps are conducted in the simulation to obtain the statistical properties of the worst-case delay and input-dependent leakage for each cell.For comparison,a set of non-optimal cells that adopt the same topology without employing the mixed biasing technique is also generated.Experimental results show that the optimized cells achieve standard deviation reduction of 39.1%and 30.7%at most in worst-case delay and inputdependent leakage respectively while the normalized deviation shrinking in worst-case delay and input-dependent leakage canbe up to 98.37%and 24.13%,respectively,which demonstrates that our optimized cells are less sensitive to variability and exhibit more reliability.Tian Wang Xiaoxin Cui Yewen Ni Kai Liao Nan Liao Dunshan Yu Xiaole Cui 2017Journal of Semiconductors2017,38,4:0
13Novel 2D CaCl crystals with metallicity, room-temperature ferromagnetism, heterojunction, piezoelectricity-like property and monovalent calcium ions显示文摘Under ambient conditions,the only known valence state of calcium ions is+2,and the corresponding crystals with calcium ions are insulating and nonferromagnetic.Here,using cryo-electron microscopy,we report direct observation of two-dimensional(2D)CaCl crystals on reduced graphene oxide(rGO)membranes,in which the calcium ions are only monovalent(i.e.+1).Remarkably,metallic rather than insulating properties are displayed by those CaCl crystals.More interestingly,room-temperature ferromagnetism,graphene-CaCl heterojunction,coexistence of piezoelectricity-like property and metallicity,as well as the distinct hydrogen storage and release capability of the CaCl crystals in rGO membranes are experimentally demonstrated.We note that such CaCl crystals are obtained by simply incubating rGO membranes in salt solutions below the saturated concentration,under ambient conditions.Theoretical studies suggest that the formation of those abnormal crystals is attributed to the strong cation-πinteractions of the Ca cations with the aromatic rings in the graphene surfaces.The findings highlight the realistic potential applications of such abnormal CaCl material with unusual electronic properties in designing novel transistors and magnetic devices,hydrogen storage,catalyzers,high-performance conducting electrodes and sensors,with a size down to atomic scale.Lei Zhang Guosheng Shi Bingquan Peng Pengfei Gao Liang Chen Ni Zhong Liuhua Mu Lijuan Zhang Peng Zhang Lu Gou Yimin Zhao Shanshan Liang Jie Jiang Zejun Zhang Hongtao Ren Xiaoling Lei Ruobing Yi Yinwei Qiu Yufeng Zhang Xing Liu Minghong Wu Long Yan Chungang Duan Shengli Zhang Haiping Fang 2021National Science Review2021,8,7:0
