| 2 | Integration of a statistical emulator approach with the SCE-UA method for parameter optimization of a hydrological model显示文摘Parameter optimization of a hydrological model is an indispensable process within model development and application.The lack of knowledge regarding the efficient optimization of model parameters often results in a bottle-neck within the modeling process,resulting in the effective calibration and validation of distributed hydrological models being more difficult to achieve.The classical approaches to global parameter optimization are usually characterized by being time consuming,and having a high computation cost.For this reason,an integrated approach coupling a meta-modeling approach with the SCE-UA method was proposed,and applied within this study to optimize hydrological model parameter estimation.Meta-modeling was used to determine the optimization range for all parameters,following which the SCE-UA method was applied to achieve global parameter optimization.The multivariate regression adaptive splines method was used to construct the response surface as a surrogate model to a complex hydrological model.In this study,the daily distributed time-variant gain model(DTVGM) applied to the Huaihe River Basin,China,was chosen as a case study.The integrated objective function based on the water balance coefficient and the Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient was used to evaluate the model performance.The case study shows that the integrated method can efficiently complete the multi-parameter optimization process,and also demonstrates that the method is a powerful tool for efficient parameter optimization. | SONG XiaoMeng ZHAN CheSheng XIA Jun | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,26: | 13 |

| 7 | Intelligent sowing depth regulation system based on Flex sensor and Mamdani fuzzy model for a no-till planter显示文摘Sowing depth has an important impact on the performance of no-tillage planters,it is one of the key factors to ensure rapid germination.However,the consistency of sowing depth is easily affected by the complex environment of no-tillage operation.In order to improve the performance of no-tillage planters and improve the control precision of sowing depth,an intelligent depth regulation system was designed.Three Flex sensors installed on the inner surface of the gauge wheel at 120°intervals were used to monitor the downward force exerted by the seeding row unit against ground.The peak value of the output voltage of the sensor increased linearly with the increase of the downward force.In addition,the pneumatic spring was used as a downforce generator,and its intelligent regulation model was established by the Mamdani fuzzy algorithm,which can realize the control of the downward force exerted by the seeding row unit against ground and ensure the proper seeding depth.The working process was simulated based on MATLAB-Simulink,and the results showed that the Mamdani fuzzy model performed well in changing the pressure against ground.Field results showed that when the operating speed was 6 km/h,8 km/h and 10 km/h,the error of the system’s control of sowing depth was±9 mm,±12 mm,and±22 mm,respectively,and its sowing performance was significantly higher than that of the unadjusted passive operation. | Mingwei Li Xiaomeng Xia Longtu Zhu Renyi Zhou Dongyan Huang | 2021 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2021,14,6: | 0 |
| 8 | Performance Comparison of Computational Methods for the Prediction of the Function and Pathogenicity of Non-coding Variants显示文摘Non-coding variants in the human genome significantly influence human traits and complex diseases via their regulation and modification effects.Hence,an increasing number of computational methods are developed to predict the effects of variants in human non-coding sequences.However,it is difficult for inexperienced users to select appropriate computational methods from dozens of available methods.To solve this issue,we assessed 12 performance metrics of 24 methods on four independent non-coding variant benchmark datasets:(1)rare germline variants from clinical relevant sequence variants(ClinVar),(2)rare somatic variants from Catalogue Of Somatic Mutations In Cancer(COSMIC),(3)common regulatory variants from curated expression quantitative trait locus(eQTL)data,and(4)disease-associated common variants from curated genomewide association studies(GWAS).All 24 tested methods performed differently under various conditions,indicating varying strengths and weaknesses under different scenarios.Importantly,the performance of existing methods was acceptable for rare germline variants from ClinVar with the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)of 0.4481–0.8033 and poor for rare somatic variants from COSMIC(AUROC=0.4984–0.7131),common regulatory variants from curated eQTL data(AUROC=0.4837–0.6472),and disease-associated common variants from curated GWAS(AUROC=0.4766–0.5188).We also compared the prediction performance of 24 methods for non-coding de novo mutations in autism spectrum disorder,and found that the combined annotation-dependent depletion(CADD)and context-dependent tolerance score(CDTS)methods showed better performance.Summarily,we assessed the performance of 24 computational methods under diverse scenarios,providing preliminary advice for proper tool selection and guiding the development of new techniques in interpreting non-coding variants. | Zheng Wang Guihu Zhao Bin Li Zhenghuan Fang Qian Chen Xiaomeng Wang Tengfei Luo Yijing Wang Qiao Zhou Kuokuo Li Lu Xia Yi Zhang Xun Zhou Hongxu Pan Yuwen Zhao Yige Wang Lin Wang Jifeng Guo Beisha Tang Kun Xia Jinchen Li | 2023 | Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2023,21,3: | 0 |

| 10 | Inconsistent centralised versus noncentralised ischaemic stroke aetiology显示文摘Background and purpose The Trial of Org 10172 in Acute Stroke Treatment(TOAST)system is the most widely used aetiological categorisation system in clinical practice and research.Limited studies have validated the accuracy of routine aetiological diagnosis of patients with ischaemic stroke according to the TOAST criteria when the reported subtype is assumed to be correct.We investigated the agreement between centralised and non-centralised(site-reported,at discharge)stroke subtypes in the Third China National Stroke Registry(CNSR-III),and analysed the influence of classification consistency on evaluation during hospitalisation and for secondary prevention strategy.Methods All patients with ischaemic stroke from the CNSR-III study with complete diffusion-weighted imaging data were included.We used multivariable Cox proportional-hazard regression models to evaluate the factors associated with consistency between centralised and non-centralised stroke subtypes.Sensitivity analyses were conducted of the subgroup of patients with complete information.Results This study included 12180 patients(mean age,62.3 years;and women,31.4%).Agreement between centralised and non-centralised subtype was the highest for the large-artery atherosclerosis subtype stroke(77.4%of centralised patients),followed by the small-vessel occlusion subtype(40.6%of centralised patients).Agreements for cardioembolism and stroke of other determined aetiology subtypes were 38.7%and 12.2%,respectively.Patient-level and hospital-level factors were associated with the inconsistency between centralised/non-centralised aetiological subtyping.This inconsistency was related to differences in secondary prevention strategies.Only 15.3%of the newly diagnosed patients with cardioembolism underwent centralised subtyping with indications to receive oral anticoagulants at discharge.In comparison,51.3%of the consistent cardioembolism group and 42.0%of the centrally reassigned cardioembolism group with anticoagulation indications were prescribed oral anticoagulants.Conclusions Substantial inconsistency exists between centralised and non-centralised subtyping in China.Inaccurate aetiological subtyping could lead to inadequate secondary prevention,especially in patients with cardioembolic stroke. | Yue Suo Jing Jing Xia Meng Zixiao Li Yuesong Pan Yong Jiang Xiaomeng Yang Huan Liu Hongyi Yan Liping Liu Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Hao Li Yongjun Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,4: | 0 |
| 11 | UNREDUCED MEGAGAMETOPHYTE FORMATION VIA SECOND DIVISION RESTITUTION CONTRIBUTES TO TETRAPLOID PRODUCTION IN INTERPLOIDY CROSSES WITH/ORAH/MANDARIN(CITRUS RETICULATA)显示文摘Seedless fruits are desirable in the citrus fresh fruit market.Triploid production via diploid x tetraploid interploidy crosses is thought to be the most efficient and widely-used strategy for the breeding of seedless citrus.Although'Orah'mandarin has desirable organoleptic qualities,seeds in the fruits weaken its market competitiveness.To produce new seedless cultivars that are similar to'Orah'mandarin,we performed three 2x x 4x crosses using'Orah'mandarin as the seed parent to regenerate triploid plantlets.A total of 182 triploid and 36 tetraploid plantlets were obtained.By analyzing their genetic origins using nine novel single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers,all of the triploids and tetraploids derived from these three crosses were proven to be hybrids.Also,we demonstrated that 2n megagametophyte formation in'Orah'mandarin result in tetraploid production in these three interploidy crosses.These tetraploid plantlets were genotyped using eight pericentromeric SNP markers and nine centromere distal SNP markers.Based on the genotypes of the 2n megagametophytes,the parental heterozygosity rates in 16 SNP loci and all 2n megagametophytes were less than 50%,indicating that second division restitution was the mechanism underlying 2n megagametophyte formation at both the population and individual levels.These triploid hybrids enrich the germplasm available for seedless breeding.Moreover,the tetraploid hybrids are valuable as parents for ploidy breeding for the production of seedless citrus fruits. | Qiangming XIA Wei WANG Kaidong XIE Xiaomeng WU Xiuxin DENG Jude WGROSSER Wenwu GUO | 2021 | Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering2021,8,2: | 0 |
| 12 | High-energy-density metal nitrides with armchair chains显示文摘Polymeric nitrogen has attracted much attention owing to its possible application as an environmentally safe high-energy-density material.Based on a crystal structure search method accelerated by the use of machine learning and graph theory and on first-principles calculations,we predict a series of metal nitrides with chain-like polynitrogen(P_(21)-AlN_(6),P2_(1)-GaN_(6),P-1-YN_(6),and P_(4)/mnc-TiN_(8)),all of which are estimated to be energetically stable below 40.8 GPa.Phonon calculations and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations at finite temperature suggest that these nitrides are dynamically stable.We find that the nitrogen in these metal nitrides can polymerize into two types of poly-N^(2-)_(4)chains,in which theπelectrons are either extended or localized.Owing to the presence of the polymerized N4 chains,these metal nitrides can store a large amount of chemical energy,which is estimated to range from 4.50 to 2.71 kJ/g.Moreover,these compounds have high detonation pressures and detonation velocities,exceeding those of conventional explosives such as TNT and HMX. | Jianan Yuan Kang Xia Chi Ding Xiaomeng Wang Qing Lu Jian Sun | 2022 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2022,7,3: | 0 |

| 14 | Method for detecting soil total nitrogen contents based on pyrolysis and artificial olfaction显示文摘Soil nitrogen is an essential nutrient element for crop growth and development,and an important indicator of soil fertility characteristics.This study proposed a method based on pyrolysis and artificial olfaction to quickly and accurately determine the soil total nitrogen(STN)content.A muffle furnace was used to pyrolyze the soil samples,and ten different types of oxide semiconductor gas sensors were used to construct a sensor array to detect the soil samples’pyrolysis gas.The response curves of the sensors were tested at pyrolysis temperatures of 200℃,300℃,400℃,and 500℃ and at pyrolysis times of 1 min,3 min,5 min,and 10 min to obtain the optimal pyrolysis state of the soil samples.The optimal pyrolysis temperature was 400℃,and the pyrolysis time was 3 min.The response area,maximum value,average differential coefficient,variance value,maximum gradient value,average value,and 8th-second transient value of the sensor response curve were extracted to construct an artificial olfactory feature space of 121×10×7(121 soil samples,ten sensor numbers,seven extracted eigenvalues).Back-propagation neural network algorithm(BPNN),partial least squares regression algorithm(PLSR),and partial least squares regression combined with back-propagation neural network algorithm(PLSR-BPNN)were used to establish a prediction model of artificial olfactory feature space and STN content.Moreover,coefficient of determination(R2),root mean square error(RMSE),and the ratio of performance to deviation(RPD)were used as the performance indicators of the prediction results.The test results showed that the R2 of the PLSR,BPNN,and PLSR-BPNN models were 0.89033,0.81185,and 0.92186,and the RMSE values were 0.24297,0.37370,and 0.21781,and the RPD were 2.9964,1.9482,and 3.3426,respectively.The model established by the PLSR-BPNN algorithm has the highest R2 and RPD and the smallest RMSE,can achieve the accurate prediction of STN content,and therefore the model is rated as“excellent”.The detection method in this study achieves a low-cost,rapid,and accurate determination of STN content,and provides a new reference for the measurement of STN. | Mingwei Li Qinghui Zhu He Liu Xiaomeng Xia Dongyan Huang | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,3: | 0 |
