1The impacts of climate extremes on the terrestrial carbon cycle:A review显示文摘The increased frequency of climate extremes in recent years has profoundly affected terrestrial ecosystem functions and the welfare of human society. The carbon cycle is a key process of terrestrial ecosystem changes. Therefore, a better understanding and assessment of the impacts of climate extremes on the terrestrial carbon cycle could provide an important scientific basis to facilitate the mitigation and adaption of our society to climate change. In this paper, we systematically review the impacts of climate extremes(e.g. drought, extreme precipitation, extreme hot and extreme cold) on terrestrial ecosystems and their mechanisms. Existing studies have suggested that drought is one of the most important stressors on the terrestrial carbon sink, and that it can inhibit both ecosystem productivity and respiration. Because ecosystem productivity is usually more sensitive to drought than respiration, drought can significantly reduce the strength of terrestrial ecosystem carbon sinks and even turn them into carbon sources. Large inter-model variations have been found in the simulations of drought-induced changes in the carbon cycle, suggesting the existence of a large gap in current understanding of the mechanisms behind the responses of ecosystem carbon balance to drought, especially for tropical vegetation. The effects of extreme precipitation on the carbon cycle vary across different regions. In general, extreme precipitation enhances carbon accumulation in arid ecosystems, but restrains carbon sequestration in moist ecosystems. However, current knowledge on the indirect effects of extreme precipitation on the carbon cycle through regulating processes such as soil carbon lateral transportation and nutrient loss is still limited. This knowledge gap has caused large uncertainties in assessing the total carbon cycle impact of extreme precipitation. Extreme hot and extreme cold can affect the terrestrial carbon cycle through various ecosystem processes. Note that the severity of such climate extremes depends greatly on their timing, which needs to be investigated thoroughly in future studies. 3VLW equation of state of detonation products显示文摘Based on the virial theory, we proposed VLW equation of state of detonation products (VLW EOS). Its basic theory and applications were described. The distinct features of the VLW EOS were:First, the detonation performance of the new high energy density materials could be predicted more reliably. Second, it had extensive application. The detonation parameters of both the condensed high energy density materials and the gaseous fuel air explosives could be calculated. Moreover, combustion performance of propellants could also be precisely calculated. 4Effect of Daiqin phlegm-expelling pill on development of inflammation in rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease induced by lipopolysaccharide and smoke显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Daiqin phlegm-expelling pill, prepared with Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), on the development of inflammation in Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) induced by lipopolysaccharide(LPS) and smoke, and to identity the possible underlying mechanism.METHODS: Sixty male rats were divided into 6 groups(healthy control group, untreated group,Daiqin phlegm-expelling pill low, middle and high dose, and ambroxol hydrochloride tablet group).COPD was established in SD rats by sootiness and tracheal instillation with LPS. The rats were treated with Daiqin phlegm-expelling pill at the indicated doses for 28 d, the inflammatory cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF), the concentration of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), interleukin(IL)-8 and IL-6 in blood and the inflammation in lung were evaluated.RESULTS: The number of inflammatory cells in the BALF and TNF-ficantly redα, IL-8 and IL-6 level in plasma were signiuced in rats with COPD when treated with Daiqin phlegm-expelling pill or ambroxol hydrochloride tablet, compared with those without any treatment. 6Temperature change and stress distribution analysis of die surface in Al-alloy die casting process and experimental study on die heat check显示文摘The temperature change of the die surface in practical aluminum alloy die casting process was analyzed,and a 2D model was formulated on the basis of a deep concave round cavity without sliding core to analyze thestress distributions along the die surface in detail. Equipment was designed to test the thermal state of the die steelin different thermal loading conditions. The results of stress analysis showed that, the value of thermal stress (maximum1.5 GPa) caused in the die filling and die spraying stages was larger than the mechanical stress (maximum 85 MPa)caused in the die locking stage. 8Umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy显示文摘Due to their relative abundance,stable biological properties and excellent reproductive activity,umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells have previously been utilized for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy,which is a muscular atrophy disease.Three patients who were clinically and pathologically diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy were transplanted with umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells by intravenous infusion,in combination with multi-point intramuscular injection.They were followed up for 12 months after cell transplantation.Results showed that clinical symptoms significantly improved,daily living activity and muscle strength were enhanced,the sero-enzyme,electromyogram,and MRI scans showed improvement,and dystrophin was expressed in the muscle cell membrane.Hematoxylin-eosin staining of a muscle biopsy revealed that muscle fibers were well arranged,fibrous degeneration was alleviated,and fat infiltration was improved.These pieces of evidence suggest that umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell transplantation can be considered as a new regimen for Duchenne muscular dystrophy.Xiaofeng Yang Yifeng Xu Naiwu Lu Yibin Zhang Hongmei Wang Xin Lu Jiping Cui JinxuZhou Hong Shan Yanxiang Wu Xinping Liu 2011Neural Regeneration Research2011,6,10:4

10First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 11High-performance SSZ-13 membranes prepared using ball-milled nanosized seeds for carbon dioxide and nitrogen separations from methane显示文摘SSZ-13 membranes with high separation performances were prepared using ball-milled nanosized seeds by once hydrothermal synthesis.Separation performances of SSZ-13 membranes in CO2/CH4 and N2/CH4 mixtures were enhanced after synthesis modification.Single-gas permeances of CO2,N2 and CH4 and ideal selectivities were recorded through SSZ-13 membranes.The effects of temperature,pressure,feed flow rate and humidity on separation performance of the membranes were discussed.Three membranes prepared after synthesis modifications had an average CO2 permeance of 1.16×10-6 mol·(m2·s·Pa)-1(equal to 3554 GPU)with an average CO2/CH4 selectivity of 213 in a 50 vol%/50 vol%CO2/CH4 mixture.It suggests that membrane synthesis has a good reproducible.The membrane also displayed a N2 permeance of 1.07×10-7 mol·(m2·s·Pa)-1(equal to 320 GPU)with a N2/CH4 selectivity of 13 for a 50 vol%/50 vol%N2/CH4 mixture.SSZ-13 membrane displayed stable and good separation performance in the wet CO2/CH4 mixture for a long test period over 100 h at 348 K.The current SSZ-13 membranes show great potentials for the simultaneous removals of CO2 and N2 in natural gas purification as a facile process suitable for industrial application.Xinping Li Yaowei Wang Tangyin Wu Shichao Song Bin Wang Shenglai Zhong Rongfei Zhou 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,5:3

13Seawater hydraulics:From the sea surface to depths of 11000 meters显示文摘Using seawater as the working medium,the seawater hydraulic system has significant advantages in the deep sea,such as eliminating contamination caused by oil leaks,no oil tanks,and the ability to automatically adapt to sea depths.As working depths increase,seawater hydraulic technology faces enormous challenges.First,the physical and chemical properties of seawater,such as density,temperature,and composition,change significantly.Second,hydraulic components are subject to an environmental pressure of up to 110 MPa,which causes serious deformation or even seizure of moving pairs and significantly affects the efficiency of hydraulic components.The friction and wear characteristics between the moving pairs also significantly change with the change in sea depth,therefore developing the matching material according to depth is necessary.Finally,the cavitation characteristic of a valve port is obviously different from that on land,so special material and structure should be used to improve the service life of the valve port.These factors severely restrict the improvement of the working depths and characteristics of seawater hydraulic components.This article focuses on the abovementioned problems and provides solutions for deep-sea seawater hydraulic technology.LIU YinShui CHENG Qian WANG ZhenYao PANG Hao DENG YiPan ZHOU XinPing LUO XiaoHui CUI Yan WU DeFa 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,9:2
