1Programmed Death Ligand-1 on Microglia Regulates Th1 Differentiation via Nitric Oxide in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis显示文摘Microglia are considered to be potential antigen-presenting cells and have the ability to present antigen under pathological conditions. Nevertheless, whether and how microglia are involved in immune regulation are largely unknown. Here, we investigated the suppressive activity of microglia during experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) induced by myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein, with the goal of understanding their role in regulating the T cell reaction. Using flow cytometric analysis, we found that microglia were characterized by increased cell number and up-regulated programmed death ligand-1(PD-L1) at the peak phase of EAE. Meanwhile,both the CD^(4+)T cells and microglia that infiltrated the central nervous system expressed higher levels of PD1, the receptor for PD-L1, accompanied by a decline of Th1 cells.In an ex vivo co-culture system, microglia from EAE mice inhibited the proliferation of antigen-specific CD^(4+)T cells and the differentiation of Th1 cells, and this was significantly inhibited by PD-L1 blockade. Further,microglia suppressed Th1 cells via nitric oxide(NO), the production of which was dependent on PD-L1. 2Effect of rapid quenching on the microstructure and electrochemical characteristics of La_(0.6)Ce_(0.4)Ni_(3.6)Co_(0.65)Mn_(0.4)Al_(0.2)Ti_(0.05_(FeB)_(0.1) hydrogen storage alloy显示文摘In order to improve the cycling stability of AB5 type alloy electrodes,rapid quenching technology and new alloy composition design were employed.A hydrogen storage alloy with nominal composition La0.6Ce0.4Ni3.6Co0.65Mn0.4Al0.2Ti0.05(FeB)0.1 was prepared by vacuum magnetic levitation melting under high purity argon atmosphere,followed by rapid quenching at different cooling rates.XRD results show that all alloys exhibit the single-phase CaCu5-type structure.Electrochemical tests indicate that rapid quenching can slightly improve the cycling life of the alloy.Nevertheless,the high-rate dischargeability of the quenched alloys is lower than that of the as-cast alloy.ZHANG Peilong SONG Xiping WANG Xiuli PEI Pei LUO Guiping TU Jiangping CHEN Guoliang 2010Rare Metals2010,29,6:4
3Change in Sediment Provenance Near the Current Estuary of Yellow River Since the Holocene Transgression显示文摘Sedimentary sequence and sediment provenance are important factors when it comes to the studies on marine sedimentation. This paper studies grain size distribution, lithological characteristics, major and rare earth elemental compositions, micropaleontological features and ^(14)C ages in order to examine sedimentary sequence and sediment provenance of the core BH6 drilled at the mouth of the Yellow River in Bohai Sea. According to the grain size and the micropaleontological compositions, 4 sedimentary units have been identified. Unit 1(0–8.08 mbsf) is of the delta sedimentary facies, Unit 2(8.08–12.08 mbsf) is of the neritic shelf facies, Unit 3(12.08–23.85 mbsf) is of near-estuary beach-tidal facies, and Unit 4(23.85 mbsf–) is of the continental lake facies. The deposits from Unit 1 to Unit 3 have been found to be marine strata formed after the Holocene transgression at about 10 ka BP, while Unit 4 is continental lacustrine deposit formed before 10 ka BP. The provenances of core BH6 sediments show properties of the continental crust and vary in different sedimentary periods. For Unit 4 sediments, the source regions are dispersed while the main provenance is not clear, although the parent rock characteristics of a few samples are similar to the Luanhe River sediments. For Unit 3, sediments at 21.1–23.85 mbsf have been mainly transported from the Liaohe River, while sediments above 21.1 mbsf are mainly from the Yellow River and partially from the Liaohe River. For Unit 2, the sediments have been mainly transported from the Yellow River, with a small amount from other rivers. For Unit 1, the provenance is mainly the Yellow River catchment. 6Substituent groups from aromatic dicarboxylates modulated structural diversification in the assembly of Co(Ⅱ)complexes based on the bis-pyridyl-bis-amide ligands显示文摘Four coordination polymers based on two bis-pyridyl-bis-amide ligands and three aromatic dicarboxylates with different substituent groups, namely, [Co(3-bpcb) 1.5 (NPH)(H2O)]·4H2O (1), [Co(3-bpcb)(NIPH)] (2), [Co(3-bpcb)0.5 (5-H2 AIP)]·2H2O (3), [Co(3-bpcd) 0.5 (5-H2 AIP)(H2O)]·2H2O (4) [3-bpcb = N,N′-bis(3-pyridinecarboxamide)-1,4-benzene, 3-bpcd = N,N′-bis(3- pyridine)cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxamide, H2 NPH = 3-nitrophthalic acid, H2 NIPH = 5-nitroisophthalic acid, 5-H4 AIP = 5-aminoisophthalic acid] have been synthetized under hydrothermal conditions. Complex 1 displays a one dimensional (1D) chain based on the binuclear [Co2 (NPH)2 ] units and 3-bpcb ligands, which is extended into a three dimensional (3D) supramolecular framework through hydrogen bonding and - stacking interactions. In complex 2, the (3,5)-connected two dimensional (2D) layers are constructed from 1D Co-NIPH chains and bidentate-bridging 3-bpcb ligands. Complex 3 is a 2D double layer based on Co-5-H2 AIP 2D layers and 3-bpcb pillars. Complex 4 also displays a 2D network, which is constructed from the Co-5-H2AIP 1D double chains and 3-bpcd ligands. Finally, complexes 2-4 are extended into 3D supramolecular frameworks by hydrogen bonding or - stacking interactions. The substituent groups of dicarboxylates play an important role in the assembly and structures of the title complexes. 9Dl-3-n butylphthalide attenuates brain injury caused by cortical infarction accompanied by cranial venous drainage disturbance显示文摘Background Cerebral venous disorder may have a harmful effect on ischaemic stroke;however,the underlying mechanism remains to be elucidated.Although Dl-3-n butylphthalide is a multitarget agent for antiischaemic stroke,its neuroprotective role in brain ischaemia accompanied by brain venous disturbance remains unclear.In this study,we induced cerebral venous disturbance by the occlusion of bilateral external jugular veins(EJVs)to explore the potential mechanism of the adverse effects of cerebrovenous disorders in cerebral infarction and explore the protective effect of Dl-3-n butylphthalide on cerebral infarction accompanied through cerebral venous disturbance.Methods Cerebral venous disturbance was induced in Sprague-Dawley rats through the permanent occlusion of bilateral EJVs,and cerebral ischaemic stroke was induced through the permanent occlusion of the right cortical branches of the middle cerebral artery.2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining,MRI,Evans blue extravasation and behavioural test were performed to evaluate infarction volume,cerebral blood flow(CBF),blood-brain barrier(BBB)integrity and neurological function.Immunofluorescence staining and western blot analysis were performed to detect loss of neuron,endothelial cells,pericytes and tight junctions.Results Bilateral EJVs occlusion did not cause cerebral infarction;however,it increased the infarction volume compared with the simple middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)group,accompanied by severe neuron loss,worse neurological function,lower CBF,increased EJVs pressure,exacerbated Evans blue extravasation and brain oedema,as well as attenuated angiogenesis.Dl-3-n butylphthalide displayed a neuroprotective effect in rats with MCAO accompanied by EJVs occlusion by reducing neuron loss,accelerating CBF restoration,promoting angiogenesis and relieving BBB damage.Conclusion Bilateral EJVs occlusion did not significantly affect normal rats but aggravated brain damage in the case of ischaemic stroke.Dl-3-n butylphthalide treatment plays a neuroprotective role in rats with MCAO accompanied by EJVs occlusion,mainly due to the promotion of CBF restoration and BBB protection.Kangping Song Xiuli Zeng Xiaomei Xie Rongxuan Zhu Jianye Liang Guobing Chen Li’an Huang 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,3:1

14Seismic response comparison and sensitivity analysis of pile foundation in liquefiable and non-liquefiable soils显示文摘Case history investigations have shown that pile foundations are more critically damaged in liquefiable soils than non-liquefiable soils.This study examines the differences in seismic response of pile foundations in liquefiable and non-liquefiable soils and their sensitivity to numerical model parameters.A two-dimensional finite element(FE)model is developed to simulate the experiment of a single pile foundation centrifuge in liquefiable soil subjected to earthquake motions and is validated against real-world test results.The differences in soil-pile seismic response of liquefiable and non-liquefiable soils are explored.Specifically,the first-order second-moment method(FOSM)is used for sensitivity analysis of the seismic response.The results show significant differences in seismic response for a soil-pile system between liquefiable and non-liquefiable soil.The seismic responses are found to be significantly larger in liquefiable soil than in non-liquefiable soil.Moreover,the pile bending moment was mainly affected by the kinematic effect in liquefiable soil,while the inertial effect was more significant in non-liquefiable soil.The controlling parameters of seismic response were PGA,soil density,and friction angle in liquefiable soil,while the pile bending moment was mainly controlled by PGA,the friction angle of soil,and shear modulus of loose sand in non-liquefiable soil.Jia Kemin Xu Chengshun Du Xiuli Cui Chunyi Dou Pengfei Song Jia 2023Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2023,22,1:1

18Adsorption Mechanism of Acetylene Hydrogenation on the Pd (111) Surface显示文摘First-principles calculations are carried out to examine the adsorption of acetylene over the Pd(111)surface.A hydrogen adsorption system is initially investigated to confirm the reliability of the selected calculation method.Adsorption energies,Mulliken-populations,overlap populations,charge density,and projected density of states(PDOS)are then calculated in the optimised acetylene adsorption system.Results show that C_(2)H_(2) molecule tends to adsorb through the threefold parallel-bridge configuration that is computed to be the most stable.In this structure,the distance of the C-H bond is calculated to be 1.09 Å,and the C-C-H bond angle is 128°.The distance of the C-C bond in acetylene is 1.36 Å,increasing from 1.21 Å in the gas phase.Moreover,the C-C bond overlap population decreases from 1.98 to 1.38,revealing that the carbon configuration in C2H2 rehybridises from sp to sp^(2) and beyond.The obtained results are compared with available experimental studies on acetylene hydrogenation on single-metal surfaces.The PDOS study indicates that a carbonaceous layer may generate on the metal surface during acetylene adsorption.The carbonaceous layer can affect the adsorption and reaction of acetylene,thereby inactivating the metal surface.Our experiments also show that Pd exhibits high catalytic activity.Xuejia Xie Xiuli Song Wenyan Dong Zhenhai Liang Caimei Fan Peide Han 2014Chinese Journal of Chemistry2014,32,7:1
