To date, more than fourteen AIV subtypes that are able to infect human beings have been documented. | 4 | Interpretation of the west segment of the coastal fault zone in the coastal region of South China based on the gravity data显示文摘By systemic processing, comprehensive analysis, and interpretation of gravity data, we confirmed the existence of the west segment of the coastal fault zone(west of Yangjiang to Beibu Bay) in the coastal region of South China. This showed an apparent high gravity gradient in the NEE direction, and worse linearity and less compactness than that in the Pearl River month. This also revealed a relatively large curvature and a complicated gravity structure. In the finding images processed by the gravity data system, each fault was well reflected and primarily characterized by isolines or thick black stripes with a cutting depth greater than 30 km. Though mutually cut by NW-trending and NE-trending faults, the apparent NEE stripe-shaped structure of the west segment of the coastal fault zone remained unchanged,with good continuity and an activity strength higher than that of NW and NE-trending faults. | 9 | 3D P-wave Velocity Structure and Active Tectonics in the Xinfengjiang Area of Guangdong显示文摘In this paper,we determined an earthquake sequence location in the Xingfengjiang area from June,2007 to July,2014 and the 3 D P-wave velocity structure by a simultaneous inversion method. On that basis,we studied the occurrence features of active tectonics and the earthquake source mechanism. The results show that the reservoir fracture system has a tendency to increase with gradual depth from southeast to northwest,consistent with gravitational field research results. There are 4 high velocity zones( HVZ) under the depth of the 7 km-12 km crust between the Xinfengjiang Reservoir dam and Xichang District,Dongyuan. The max velocity of the biggest HVZ which is under Xichang is 6. 3 km/s. Under the reservoir dam there is a strong tectonic deformation zone,as the center exit Renzishi fault( F_2),Nanshan-Aotou faults( F_4),Heyuan fault( F_1) and Shijiao-Xingang-Baitian fault( F_5),7 earthquakes with M_L≥ 5. 0( including M 6. 1 in March,1962) occurred at the high gradient zone of the HVZ Ⅲ and HVZ Ⅳ edge which has been under the reservoir dam since 1960, with relativity energy releasing more thoroughly. | 11 | Crosstalk between CYP2E1 and PPARα substrates and agonists modulate adipose browning and obesity显示文摘Although the functions of metabolic enzymes and nuclear receptors in controlling physiological homeostasis have been established, their crosstalk in modulating metabolic disease has not been explored.Genetic ablation of the xenobiotic-metabolizing cytochrome P450 enzyme CYP2 E1 in mice markedly induced adipose browning and increased energy expenditure to improve obesity. CYP2 E1 deficiency activated the expression of hepatic peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha(PPARa) target genes,including fibroblast growth factor(FGF) 21, that upon release from the liver, enhanced adipose browning and energy expenditure to decrease obesity. Nineteen metabolites were increased in Cyp2 e1-null mice as revealed by global untargeted metabolomics, among which four compounds, lysophosphatidylcholine and three polyunsaturated fatty acids were found to be directly metabolized by CYP2 E1 and to serve as PPARa agonists, thus explaining how CYP2 E1 deficiency causes hepatic PPARa activation through increasing cellular levels of endogenous PPARa agonists. Translationally, a CYP2 E1 inhibitor was found to activate the PPARa-FGF21-beige adipose axis and decrease obesity in wild-type mice, but not in liver-specific Pparanull mice. | 19 | An integrative bioinformatics pipeline shows that honeybee-associated microbiomes are driven primarily by pollen composition显示文摘The microbiomes associated with bee nests influence colony health through various mechanisms,although it is not yet clear how honeybee congeners differ in microbiome assembly processes,in particular the degrees to which floral visitations and the environment contribute to different aspects of diversity.We used DNA metabarcoding to sequence bacterial 16S rRNA from honey and stored pollen from nests of 4 honeybee species(Apis cerana,A.dorsata,A.florea,and A.laboriosa)sampled throughout Yunnan,China,a global biodiversity hotspot.We developed a computational pipeline integrating multiple databases for quantifying key facets of diversity,including compositional,taxonomic,phylogenetic,and functional ones.Further,we assessed candidate drivers of observed microbiome dissimilarity,particularly differences in floral visitations,habitat disturbance,and other key environmental variables.Analyses revealed that microbiome alpha diversity was broadly equivalent across the study sites and between bee species,apart from functional diversity which was very low in nests of the reclusive A.laboriosa.Turnover in microbiome composition across Yunnan was driven predominantly by pollen composition.Human disturbance negatively impacted both compositional and phylogenetic alpha diversity of nest microbiomes,but did not correlate with microbial turnover.We herein make progress in understanding microbiome diversity associated with key pollinators in a biodiversity hotspot,and provide a model for the use of a comprehensive informatics framework in assessing pattern and drivers of diversity,which enables the inclusion of explanatory variables both subtly and fundamentally different and enables elucidation of emergent or unexpected drivers. | Douglas Chesters Xiuwei Liu Karen L.Bell Michael C.Orr Tingting Xie Qingsong Zhou Chaodong Zhu | 2023 | Insect Science2023,30,2: | 0 |
