| 1 | Experimental and numerical investigation on the thermal and mechanical behaviours of thermal barrier coatings exposed to CMAS corrosion显示文摘Calcium-magnesium-alumino-silicate(CMAS)corrosion is a critical factor which causes the failure of thermal barrier coating(TBC).CMAS attack significantly alters the temperature and stress fields in TBC,resulting in their delamination or spallation.In this work,the evolution process of TBC prepared by suspension plasma spraying(SPS)under CMAS attack is investigated.The CMAS corrosion leads to the formation of the reaction layer and subsequent bending of TBC.Based on the observations,a corrosion model is proposed to describe the generation and evolution of the reaction layer and bending of TBC.Then,numerical simulations are performed to investigate the corrosion process of free-standing TBC and the complete TBC system under CMAS attack.The corrosion model constructs a bridge for connecting two numerical models.The results show that the CMAS corrosion has a significant influence on the stress field,such as the peak stress,whereas it has little influence on the steady-state temperature field.The peak of stress increases with holding time,which increases the risk of the rupture of TBC.The Mises stress increases nonlinearly along the thick direction of the reaction layer.Furthermore,in the traditional failure zone,such as the interface of the top coat and bond coat,the stress obviously changes during CMAS corrosion. | Dongxu LI Peng JIANG Renheng GAO Fan SUN Xiaochao JIN Xueling FAN | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,3: | 9 |
| 2 | Effects of Sini San used alone and in combination with fluoxetine on central and peripheral 5-HT levels in a rat model of depression显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Sini San and fluoxetine on the levels of central and peripheral 5-HT in a rat model of depression, and provide new insight into the treatment of depression with integrated Chinese-Western Medicine.METHODS: A rat model of depression was established by chronic mild stress(CMS). Model rats received either Sini San, fluoxetine, a combination of the two drugs, or no drug treatment. Healthy naive rats were used as controls. Open field and sucrose preference tests were used to assess depression-like behavior. ELISA and immunohistochemistry were used to determine central and peripheral levels of 5-HT.RESULTS: In the group with no drug treatment,central 5-HT expression decreased while peripheral5-HT concentrations increased as CMS continued.Four weeks after CMS, Sini San alone was less effective in reducing depression-like behavior than fluoxetine alone or in combination with Sini San,but combined use was more effective than fluoxetine alone. Eight weeks after CMS, Sini San alone or in combination with fluoxetine was more effective in reducing depression-like behavior than fluoxetine alone. Furthermore Sini San and fluoxetine used alone or in combination notably increased central 5-HT expression and decreased peripheral 5-HT levels in the rat model.CONCLUSION:The results of the present study indicate that there is a synergistic action between the two medicines in the treatment of depression. Sini San exhibited a relatively long lag before its effects were observed; however, by eight weeks the Traditional Chinese Medicine appeared at least as effective as fluoxetine. | 4 | Seismic hazard assessment of the Three Gorges Project显示文摘Seismic monitoring data for the past 50 years in the Three Gorges Reservoir area show that the reservoir head area is a typical weak seismic region with low seismicity before impoundment and that the epicenters were concentrated in the east and west sides of the Zigui Basin,most of which were natural tectonic earthquakes.After impoundment,the seismic activity shifted to the segment between Badong and Zigui along the Yangtze River,mainly within 5 km of the reservoir bank.The seismogenesis was categorized into four types:Karst collapse earthquakes,earthquakes caused by Karst gas explosion,mining tunnel collapse earthquakes,and rock (terrane) slip earthquakes,all of which are related to the lithology,structure,and tectonics of near-surface geological bodies of the area.Compared with the seismicity before impoundment,the seismic frequency increase was remarkable,with most of the magnitudes below Ms2.0.Therefore,the intensity of the earthquakes remained at a low level.On November 22,2008,a magnitude 4.1 earthquake,the largest earthquake recorded since impoundment,occurred in Quyuan Town,Zigui County.The intensity and PGA of reservoir-induced earthquakes are higher than those of tectonic earthquakes with equal magnitude,but the peak intensity of reservoir-induced earthquakes is not likely to go beyond that of the estimated range from earlier studies. | Yao Yunsheng Wang Qiuliang Li Jinggang Shen Xueling Kong Yuyang | 2013 | Geodesy and Geodynamics2013,4,2: | 4 |
| 5 | The enhanced protective effects of salvianic acid A: A functionalized nanoparticles against ischemic stroke through increasing the permeability of the blood-brain barrier显示文摘Ischemic stroke is the leading cause of disability and death worldwide. Currently, the only proven treatment for ischemic stroke is restoring the cerebral blood supply. In addition, some of the tissue is damaged during the subsequent reperfusion because of the overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Furthermore, antioxidant therapies have shown promise in preclinical studies for the treatment of ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, their therapeutic efficacy has been limited because of their low bioavailability in brain. To resolve this issue, we synthesized ROS-responsive, fan-shaped dendrimer nanoparticles (NPs) and conjugated them with a blood-brain barrier (BBB)-targeting peptide, COG1410, and salvianic acid A (SA), which is an effective antioxidant in ischemic stroke. The BBB targeting peptide acts as a ligand of the nanocarrier system and penetrates the BBB through the endocytosis of the ligand receptor. The results showed that T-SA-NPs not only target and accumulate in the infarct area, they also reduce over 2 times of the infarct area and reverse the behavioral deficits in MCAO mice, which illustrates that these NPs have an effective therapeutic effect on the ischemic stroke. In addition, these NPs had no toxicity in any organs of the body. | 9 | Development of Biomimetic Needle-like Apatite Nanocrystals by a Simple New Method显示文摘A new method of calcium nitrate and sodium phosphate as reactants was employed to prepare biomimetic apatite nanocrystals by a simple heating treatment in water. The structure and properties of the apatite crystals were investigated by TEM, XRD, IR, ICP and TG. It is found that the apatite nanocrystals contain OH-, CO32-, Na+ and HPO^- ions in their crystal structure. The crystal water is removed during heating from 200℃ to 400℃. CO32-and HPO^- are decomposed at 600℃ to 800℃, also there is lattice water lost at this temperature stage. The morphology of the apatite nanocrystals is needle-like with a length less than 80 nm. The size and crystallinity of the apatite nanocrystals increase with water treatment temperature and time. Compared to the apatite crystals sintered at 800℃, water treated apatite nanocrystals are poorly crystallized apatite. The results indicate that the apatite nanocrystals have similarity in composition, structure, morphology and crystallinity to that of bone apatite crystals. | 10 | Optimization for quantification of sorghum tannins by Ferric ammonium citrate assay显示文摘Due to the complexity of structure,it is difficult to determine the content of sorghum tannins.The current method for the determination of sorghum tannins is the Ferric ammonium citrate assay described in ISO 9648.However,the standard tannic acid(TA)used in the ISO 9648 method is significantly different in both structure and dynamics from sorghum tannins,resulting in inaccurate quantitative result.Furthermore,the extraction solvent,75%dimethylformamide(DMF),used in each step of this method had large toxicity to human.Hence,the objective of this study is to optimize the ISO 9648 method by selecting proper standard and extraction solvents so as to enhance the accuracy and safety.In this study,Sephadex LH-20 chromatography combined with high pressure liquid chromatography was used to purify and identify the extracted sorghum tannin(ST).Then,commercial TA,epicatechin(EA),grape seed procyanidin(PA)were selected as the standard and ST was used as reference for Ferric ammonium citrate assay to compare the effects of the three standards.Furthermore,the extraction rates of sorghum tannins in the presence of several low toxic solvents,such as absolute ethanol,absolute methanol,70%ethanol solution,70%methanol solution and 70%acetone solution,were compared to determine the alternative solvents of 75%DMF solution.The results showed that PA was superior to TA and EA in structure,with satisfactory color yield close to ST,and higher accuracy than TA.In terms of the extraction solvent,70%acetone solution was selected to replace 75%DMF solution because of its higher extraction yield(only next to 75%DMF)and low toxicity.Verification experiment results showed that both the recovery rate and the repeatability of the optimized method met the requirements of AOCO.Moreover,the optimized method,with higher accuracy and safety than the ISO 9648 method,can be applied widely in laboratory. | Xujuan Wang Xiaoxian Han Limin Li Xueling Zheng | 2020 | Grain & Oil Science and Technology2020,3,4: | 2 |
