| 4 | Studies on the evolution process of rockbursts in deep tunnels显示文摘This paper focuses on the evolution processes of different types of rockbursts occurring in deep tunnels. A series of laboratory tests and in-situ monitoring in deep tunnels excavated by tunnel boring machine (TBM) and drill-and-blast (D&B) method have been conducted to understand the mechanisms and processes of the evolution of different types of rockbursts, including strain rockburst, strain-structure slip rockburst, immediate rockburst and time-delayed rockburst. Three different risk assessment methods are proposed to evaluate the intensity and potential failure depth of rockbursts. These methods can be applied before excavation and the results can be updated according to the real-time information during excavation. Two micro-seismicity based real-time warning systems have been established for predicting various intensities of rockbursts, such as slight, moderate, intensive and extremely intensive rockbursts. Meanwhile, the probability and intensity of the rockburst are also given. The strategy for excavation and support design has been suggested for various intensities of rockbursts before excavation. The strategy for dynamic control of the rockburst evolution process is also proposed according to the monitoring results. The methodology has been successfully applied to rockburst risk reduction for deep tunnels at Jinping II hydropower project. | 5 | The lightning activities in super typhoons over the Northwest Pacific显示文摘The spatial and temporal characteristics of lightning activities have been studied in seven super typhoons from 2005 to 2008 over the Northwest Pacific, using data from the World Wide Lightning Location Network (WWLLN). The results indicated that there were three distinct lightning flash regions in mature typhoon, a significant maximum in the eyewall regions (20-80 km from the center), a minimum from 80-200 km, and a strong maximum in the outer rainbands (out of 200 km from the center). The lightning flashes in the outer rainbands were much more than those in the inner rainbands, and less than 1% of flashes occurred within 100 km of the center. Each typhoon produced eyewall lightning outbreak during the periods of its intensification, usually several hours prior to its maximum intensity, indicating that lightning activity might be used as a proxy of intensification of super typhoon. | 6 | Experimental and numerical study on fretting wear and fatigue of full-scale railway axles显示文摘This study investigated the fretting wear and fatigue of full-scale railway axles.Fatigue tests were conducted on full-scale railway axles,and the fretting wear and fretting fatigue in the fretted zone of the railway axles were analysed.Three-dimensional finite element models were established based on the experimental results.Then,multi-axial fatigue parameters and a linear elastic fracture mechanics-based approach were used to investigate the fretting fatigue crack initiation and propagation,respectively,in which the role of the fretting wear was taken into account.The experimental and simulated results showed that the fretted zone could be divided into zones I-III according to the surface damage morphologies.Fretting wear alleviated the stress concentration near the wheel seat edge and resulted in a new stress concentration near the worn/unworn boundary in zone II,which greatly promoted the fretting crack initiation at the inner side of the fretted zone.Meanwhile,the stress concentration also increased the equivalent stress intensity factor range DKeq below the mating surface,and thus promoted the propagation of fretting fatigue crack.Based on these findings,the effect of the stress redistribution resulting from fretting wear is suggested to be taken into account when evaluating the fretting fatigue in railway axles. | Lang Zou Dongfang Zeng Yabo Li Kai Yang Liantao Lu Caiqin Yuan | 2020 | Railway Engineering Science2020,28,4: | 7 |

| 8 | TGR5 expression in benign, preneoplastic and neoplastic lesions of Barrett's esophagus: Case series and findings显示文摘AIM To examined the bile acid receptor TGR5 expression in squamous mucosa, Barrett's mucosa, dysplasia and esophageal adenocarcinoma(EA). METHODS Slides were stained with TGR5 antibody. The staining intensity was scored as 1+, 2+ and 3+. The extent of staining(percentage of cells staining) was scored as follows: 1+, 1%-10%, 2+, 11%-50%, 3+, 51%-100%. A combined score of intensity and extent was calculated and categorized as negative, weak, moderate and strong staining. TGR5 m RNA was measured by real time PCR.RESULTS We found that levels of TGR5 mR NA were significantly increased in Barrett's dysplastic cell line CP-D and EA cell line SK-GT-4, when compared with Barrett's cell line CP-A. Moderate to strong TGR5 staining was significantly higher in high-grade dysplasia and EA cases than in Barrett's esophagus(BE) or in low-grade dysplasia. Moderate to strong staining was slightly higher in low-grade dysplasia than in BE mucosa, but there is no statistical significance. TGR5 staining had no significant difference between high-grade dysplasia and EA. In addition, TGR5 staining intensity was not associated with the clinical stage, the pathological stage and the status of lymph node metastasis.CONCLUSION We conclude that TGR5 immunostaining was much stronger in high-grade dysplasia and EA than in BE mucosa or low-grade dysplasia and that its staining intensity was not associated with the clinical stage, the pathological stage and the status of lymph node metastasis. | 12 | Bioaccumulation and transformation of cadmium by Phaeodactylum tricornutum显示文摘In this paper,we report the bioaccumulation and transformation of cadmium (Cd) by Phaeodactylum tricornutum in the presence of ethylenediamine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) and cysteine (Cys). Both EDTA and Cys can alleviate the toxicity of Cd to P. tricornutum. Short term intracellular uptake and extracellular adsorption experiments using ICP-MS indicated that the amounts of Cd accumulated on the cell surface of P. tricornutum and inside the cell decreased along with the increase of EDTA concentration,which conformed to the prediction of the Free Ion Activity Model (FIAM). However,extracellular adsorption of Cd increased at first and then decreased along with the increase in the concentration of Cys,while intracellular uptake increased under Cys concentrations from the blank value to 4.45 μmol/L,and then tended to remain at the same level when the Cys concentration was greater than 4.45 μmol/L,and this deviated remarkably from the FIAM. The interactions of Cd with _Si_OH,_C_OH and NH2(CO) _OH on the cell wall were confirmed using FT-IR and XPS studies. The results obtained using HPLC of the phytochelatins (PCs) produced by P. tricornutum under CdCl2,Cd_EDTA and Cd_Cys stress suggested that the main reason for the different effects of EDTA and Cys on the bioaccumulation and transformation of Cd by P. tricornutum was that Cys is not only a complexing ligand to Cd,as is EDTA,but also it is a precursor of the intracellular synthesizing PCs participating in the cellular defense mechanism against Cd. | 14 | The Impact of Regional Rainfall on Runoff of Yachi River of Guizhou显示文摘Based on monthly runoff data of Yachi River of Guizhou from April 2014 to May 2015,and monthly rainfall data of Guiyang,Xichang,Wenjiang and Chongqing weather stations from January 2007 to November 2015,the influence of temporal-spatial component of regional rainfall on monthly runoff of Yachi River was analyzed by using REOF,multiple linear regression analysis and harmonic analysis.Temporal-spatial change of monthly rainfall around Yachi River mainly contained four kinds of modes.The first mode was northwest-southeast type,and the second mode was south-north type,and the third mode was east-west mode.Temporal components of the three modes were all quasi equilibrium seasonal and interannual changes.Among them,the first and second modes had stable seasonal change,while seasonal change of the third mode was the most unstable,and drought-flood situation of season variation was easy to happen.Seasonal change form of monthly runoff in Yachi River was obviously different from regional monthly rainfall,and it was mainly affected by underlying surface topography and human activity(reservoir and hydropower station),and could not make a natural response to seasonal change of rainfall in time.The third mode of regional monthly rainfall and cycle fitting amount of had insignificant impact on monthly runoff of Yachi River,while the first mode of regional monthly rainfall and cycle fitting amount showed significantly positive correlation with monthly runoff of Yachi River.The second mode of regional monthly rainfall and cycle fitting amount had significantly negative correlation with monthly runoff of Yachi River,and Yachi River had significant water-storage regulation effect on the mode component.Yachi River did not have water-storage regulation effect on flood component of seasonal variation of regional monthly rainfall. | Yang Dongfang Wang Fengyou Wang Lin Zhang Rong Zhu Sixi | 2017 | Meteorological and Environmental Research2017,8,1: | 2 |
| 15 | CILP-2 is a novel secreted protein and associated with insulin resistance显示文摘Genetic association studies have implicated that cartilage intermediate layer protein 2 (CILP-2) confers the risk susceptibility for type 2 diabetes (T2DM). However, it is still unknown whether CILP-2 is involved in the regulation of glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance (IR). In the current study, we initially observed that CILP-2 as a secreted protein was detected in both conditioned medium and lysates of cells transfected with an overexpressed vector. We then found that circulating CILP-2 levels had a progressive increase from normal to impaired glucose tolerance (a pre-diabetic status) and then to diabetes, which was correlated positively with waist-to-hip ratio, triglyceride, fasting blood glucose, 2-h blood glucose after glucose overload, HbA1c, fasting insulin, 2-h plasma insulin after glucose overload, and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance but negatively with HDL-C. CILP-2 expression was increased in the liver and muscle but decreased in adipose tissues of obese mice or T2DM patients. Furthermore, we demonstrated that CILP-2 circulating levels were affected by OGTT and Exenatide. CILP-2 overexpression resulted in impaired glucose tolerance and hepatic IR in vivo and increased PEPCK expression whereas suppressed phosphorylation of insulin receptor and Akt kinase in vitro.
