6Liver Enzymes Concentrations Are Closely Related to Pre-diabetes:Findings of the Shanghai Diabetes Study Ⅱ (SHDS Ⅱ)显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationship of liver enzymes with hyperglycemia in a large population in Shanghai and identify the association between liver enzymes and insulin resistance.Methods A total of 3 756 participants were enrolled.Each participant underwent an oral glucose tolerance test and completed a questionnaire.Anthropometric indices were recorded and serum samples were collected for measurement.Results Liver enzymes concentrations were independently associated with i-IGT,IFG+IGT,and diabetes.With the increase of ALT and GGT concentrations,ORs for i-IGT,IFG+IGT,and diabetes increased gradually.By comparing patients in the highest quartile of GGT concentrations or ALT concentrations with those in the lowest quartile (Q1),ORs for i-IGT,IFG+IGT,or diabetes was significant after adjustment.Both ALT and GGT concentrations were linearly correlated with HOMA-IR and independently associated with HOMA-IR [ALT OR (95% CI):2.56 (1.51-4.34) P=0.00;GGT OR (95% CI):2.66 (1.53-4.65) P=0.00].Conclusion Serum ALT and GGT concentrations were closely related to pre-diabetes and diabetes in the Shanghai population and positively associated with insulin resistance.GAO Fei PAN Jie Min HOU Xu Hong FANG Qi Chen LU Hui Juan TANG Jun Ling GU Hui Lin PAN Zhi Jian YAO You Hua SHEN Wei Zhen JIA Wei Ping 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,1:15
7Earthquake prediction from China's mobile gravity data显示文摘The relation between plate tectonics and earthquake evolution is analyzed systematically on the basis of 1998e2010 absolute and relative gravity data from the Crustal Movement Observation Network of China. Most earthquakes originated in the plate boundary or within the fault zone. Tectonic deformation was most intense and exhibited discontinuity within the tectonically active fault zone because of the differential movement; the stress accumulation produced an abrupt gravity change, which was further enhanced by the earthquake. The gravity data from China's Mainland since 2000 obviously reflected five major earthquakes(Ms > 7), all of which were better reflected than before 2000. Regional gravity anomalies and a gravity gradient change were observed in the area around the epicenter about 2 or 3 years before the earthquake occurred, suggesting that gravity change may be a seismic precursor. 15Preparation of highly conductive graphene-coated glass fibers by sol-gel and dip-coating method显示文摘In order to fabricate highly-conductive glass fibers using graphene as multi-functional coatings, we reported the preparation of graphene-coated glass fibers with high electrical conductivity through solgel and dip-coating technique in a simple way. Graphene oxide (GO) was partially reduced to graphene hydrosol, and then glass fibers were dipped and coated with the reduced GO (rGO). After repeated solgel and dip-coating treatment, the glass fibers were fully covered with rGO coatings, and consequently exhibited increased hydrophobicity and high electrical conductivity. The graphene-coated fibers exhibited good electrical conductivity of 24.9 S/cm, being higher than that of other nanocarbon-coated fibers and commercial carbon fibers, which is mainly attributed to the high intrinsic electrical conductivity of rGO and full coverage of fiber surfaces. The wettability and electrical conductivity of the coated fibers strongly depended on the dip-coating times and coating thickness, which is closely associated with coverage degree and compact structure of the graphene coatings. 16Clinical Course and Outcome Patterns of Acute-on-chronic Liver Failure:A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study显示文摘Background and Aims:Acute-on-chronic liver failure(ACLF)is acute decompensation of liver function in the setting of chronic liver disease,and characterized by high short-term mortality.In this study,we sought to investigate the clinical course of patients at specific time points,and to propose dynamic prognostic criteria.Methods:We assessed the clinical course of 453 patients with ACLF during a 12-week follow-up period in this retrospective multicenter study.The clinical course of patients was defined as disease recovery,improvement,worsening or steady patterns based on the variation tendency in prothrombin activity(PTA)and total bilirubin(TB)at different time points.Results:Resolution of PTA was observed in 231 patients(51%)at 12 weeks after the diagnosis of ACLF.Among the remaining patients,66(14.6%)showed improvement and 156(34.4%)showed a steady or worsening course.In patients with resolved PTA,the clinical course of TB exhibited resolved pattern in 95.2%,improved in 3.9%,and steady or worse in 0.8%.Correspondingly,in patients with improved PTA,these values for TB were 28.8%,27.3%,and 43.9%,respectively.In patients with steady or worsening PTA,these values for TB were 5.7%,32.3%,and 65.6%,respectively.Dynamic prognostic criteria were developed by combining the clinical course of PTA/TB and the clinical outcomes at 4 and 12 weeks after diagnosis in ACLF patients.Conclusions:We propose the following dynamic prognostic criteria:rapid progression,slow progression,rapid recovery,slow recovery,and slow persistence,which lay the foundation for precise prediction of prognosis and the improvement of ACLF therapy.Man-Man Xu Ming Kong Peng-Fei Yu Ying-Ying Cao Fang Liu Bing Zhu Yi-Zhi Zhang Wang Lu Huai-Bin Zou Bin-Wei Duan Shao-Li You Shao-Jie Xin Tao Han Zhong-Ping Duan Yu Chen 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5:8
17Two VOZ transcription factors link an E3 ligase and an NLR immune receptor to modulate immunity in rice显示文摘Nucleotide-binding leucine-rich repeat(NLR)proteins play critical roles in plant immunity.However,how NLRs are regulated and activate defense signaling is not fully understood.The rice(Oryza sativa)NLR receptor Piz-t confers broad-spectrum resistance to the fungal pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae and the RING-type E3 ligase AVRPIZ-T INTERACTING PROTEIN 10(APIP10)negatively regulates Piz-t accumulation.In this study,we found that APIP10 interacts with two rice transcription factors,VASCULAR PLANT ONEZINC FINGER 1(OsVOZ1)and OsVOZ2,and promotes their degradation through the 26S proteasome pathway.OsVOZ1 displays transcriptional repression activity while OsVOZ2 confers transcriptional activation activity in planta.The osvoz1 and osvoz2 single mutants display modest but opposite M.oryzae resistance in the non-Piz-t background.However,the osvoz1 osvoz2 double mutant exhibits strong dwarfism and cell death,and silencing of both genes via RNA interference also leads to dwarfism,mild cell death,and enhanced resistance to M.oryzae in the non-Piz-t background.Both OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 interact with Piz-t.Double silencing of OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 in the Piz-t background decreases Piz-t protein accumulation and transcription,reactive oxygen species-dependent cell death,and resistance to M.oryzae containing AvrPiz-t.Taken together,these results indicate that OsVOZ1 and OsVOZ2 negatively regulate basal defense but contribute positively to Piz-t-mediated immunity.Jiyang Wang Ruyi Wang Hong Fang Chongyang Zhang Fan Zhang Zeyun Hao Xiaoman You Xuetao Shi Chan Ho Park Kangyu Hua Feng He Maria Bellizzi Kieu Thi Xuan Vo Jong-Seong Jeon Yuese Ning Guo-Liang Wang 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,2:8

19The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE) mission: An overview显示文摘The Chinese Hα Solar Explorer(CHASE), dubbed “Xihe”—Goddess of the Sun, was launched on October 14, 2021 as the first solar space mission of China National Space Administration(CNSA). The CHASE mission is designed to test a newly developed satellite platform and to acquire the spectroscopic observations in the Hα waveband. The Hα Imaging Spectrograph(HIS)is the scientific payload of the CHASE satellite. It consists of two observational modes: raster scanning mode and continuum imaging mode. The raster scanning mode obtains full-Sun or region-of-interest spectral images from 6559.7 to 6565.9 ? and from 6567.8 to 6570.6 ? with 0.024 ? pixel spectral resolution and 1 min temporal resolution. The continuum imaging mode obtains photospheric images in continuum around 6689 ? with the full width at half maximum of 13.4 ?. The CHASE mission will advance our understanding of the dynamics of solar activity in the photosphere and chromosphere. 20Expression of NF-κ B and osteopontin of synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘Objective:To explore the significance of osteopontin and nuclear factorκB(NF-κB) expression in patients with knee osteoarthritis.Methods:RT-PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to measure the Osteopontin(OPN) and NF-κB concentration of knee joint synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis and trauma fractures,and analyze the relationship between the expressiones of them.Results:OPN and NF-κB expression at the mRNA and protein levels of patients with knee osteoarthritis were significantly higher than the control group, the result showed statistical significance(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between the OPN levels in synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis and NF-κB expression levels (P<0.05).Conclusions:The high expression of OPN and NF-κB are closely related to occurrence and development of knee osteoarthritis.Li-Feng Qin Wan-Chun Wang Han Fang Xin-Zhan Mao Guo-Liang Huang You Chen Hou-De Zhou Yi Shen Li-Hua Qin Dan Peng 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2013,6,5:7
