1Cold-Induced CBF–PIF3 Interaction Enhances Freezing Tolerance by Stabilizing the phyB Thermosensor in Arabidopsis显示文摘Growth inhibition and cold-acclimation strategies help plants withstand cold stress,which adversely affects growth and survival.PHYTOCHROME B(phyB)regulates plant growth through perceiving both light and ambient temperature signals.However,the mechanism by which phyB mediates the plant response to cold stress remains elusive.Here,we show that the key transcription factors mediating cold acclimation,C-REPEAT BINDING FACTORs(CBFs),interact with PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 3(PIF3)under cold stress,thus attenuating the mutually assured destruction of PIF3–phyB.Cold-stabilized phyB acts downstream of CBFs to positively regulate freezing tolerance by modulating the expression of stress-responsive and growth-related genes.Consistent with this,phyB mutants exhibited a freezing-sensitive phenotype,whereas phyB-overexpression transgenic plants displayed enhanced freezing tolerance.Further analysis showed that the PIF1,PIF4,and PIF5 proteins,all of which negatively regulate plant freezing tolerance,were destabilized by cold stress in a phytochrome-dependent manner.Collectively,our study reveals that CBFs–PIF3–phyB serves as an important regulatory module for modulating plant response to cold stress.Bochen Jiang Yiting Shi Yue Peng Yuxin Jia Yan Yan Xiaojing Dong Hui Li Jie Dong Jigang Li Zhizhong Gong Michael F.Thomashow Shuhua Yang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,6:13
2The direct targets of CBFs:In cold stress response and beyond显示文摘Cold acclimation in Arabidopsis thaliana triggers a significant transcriptional reprogramming altering the expression patterns of thousands of cold-responsive(COR) genes. Essential to this process is the C-repeat binding factor(CBF)-dependent pathway, involving the activity of AP2/ERF(APETALA2/ethylene-responsive factor)-type CBF transcription factors required for plant cold acclimation. In this study, we performed chromatin immunoprecipitation assays followed by deep sequencing(ChIP-seq) to determine the genomewide binding sites of the CBF transcription factors. Cold-induced CBF proteins specifically bind to the conserved C-repeat(CRT)/dehydrationresponsive elements(CRT/DRE;G/ACCGAC) of their target genes. A Gene Ontology enrichment analysis showed that 1,012 genes are targeted by all three CBFs. Combined with a transcriptional analysis of the cbf1,2,3 triple mutant, we define 146 CBF regulons as direct CBF targets. In addition, the CBF-target genes are significantly enriched in functions associated with hormone, light,and circadian rhythm signaling, suggesting that the CBFs act as key integrators of endogenous and external environmental cues. 3Factors associated with potentially inappropriate prescriptions and barriers to medicines optimisation among older adults in primary care settings:a systematic review显示文摘Objective To identify factors that likely contribute to potentially inappropriate prescriptions(PIPs)among older adults in primary care settings,as well as barriers to medicines optimisation and recommended potential solutions.Design Systematic review.Eligibility criteria Quantitative studies that analysed the factors associated with PIPs among older adults(≥65 years)in primary care settings,and qualitative studies that explored perceived barriers and potential solutions to medicines optimisation for this population.Information sources PubMed,EMBASE,Scopus,CINAHL,PsycINFO,Web of Science,CNKI and Wanfang.Results Of the 13167 studies identified,50 were included(14 qualitative,34 cross-sectional and 2 cohort).Nearly all quantitative studies examined patient-related non-clinical factors(eg,age)and clinical factors(eg,number of medications)and nine studies examined prescriber-related factors(eg,physician age).A greater number of medications were identified as positively associated with PIPs in 25 quantitative studies,and a higher number of comorbidities,physical comorbidities and psychiatric comorbidities were identified as patient-related clinical risk factors for PIPs.However,other factors showed inconsistent associations with the PIPs.Barriers to medicines optimisation emerged within four analytical themes:prescriber related(eg,inadequate knowledge,concerns of adverse consequences,clinical inertia,lack of communication),patient related(eg,limited understanding,patient non-adherence,drug dependency),environment related(eg,lack of integrated care,insufficient investment,time constraints)and technology related(eg,complexity of implementation and inapplicable guidance).Recommended potential solutions were based on each theme of the barriers identified accordingly(eg,prescriber-related factors:incorporating training courses into continuing medical education).Conclusions Older adults with more drugs prescribed and comorbidities may have a greater risk of receiving PIPs in the primary care setting,but it remains unclear whether other factors are related.Barriers to medicines optimisation among primary care older adults comprise multiple factors,and evidence-based and targeted interventions are needed to address these difficulties.PROSPERO registration number CRD42020216258.Zhijie Xu Xujian Liang Yue Zhu Yiting Lu Yuanqu Ye Lizheng Fang Yi Qian 2021Family Medicine and Community Health2021,9,4:1
4Nitrogen-Doped TiO_2–C Composite Nanofibers with High-Capacity and Long-Cycle Life as Anode Materials for Sodium-Ion Batteries显示文摘Nitrogen-doped TiO_2–C composite nanofibers(TiO_2/N–C NFs) were manufactured by a convenient and green electrospinning technique in which urea acted as both the nitrogen source and a pore-forming agent. The TiO_2/N–C NFs exhibit a large specific surface area(213.04 m^2 g^(-1)) and a suitable nitrogen content(5.37 wt%). The large specific surface area can increase the contribution of the extrinsic pseudocapacitance, which greatly enhances the rate capability. Further, the diffusion coefficient of sodium ions(DNa_+) could be greatly improved by the incorporation of nitrogen atoms. Thus, the TiO_2/N–C NFs display excellent electrochemical properties in Na-ion batteries. A TiO_2/N–C NF anode delivers a high reversible discharge capacity of 265.8 mAh g^(-1) at 0.05 A g^(-1) and an outstanding long cycling performance even at a high current density(118.1 m Ah g^(-1)) with almost no capacity decay at 5 A g^(-1) over 2000 cycles. 6Simulation and experimental verification of off-axis fiber Bragg grating bending sensor with high refractive index modulation显示文摘Off-axis FBG simulations were performed in this paper using a finite element method in conjunction with the conformal mapping technique to study the bending sensing characteristics of the off-axis FBG with high index modulation.The refractive index(RI)increase of the grating region is taken into consideration for the mode field simulation.The influences of high RI increase and the offset distance of the grating on the bending sensitivity were analyzed.Off-axis FBGs with different offset distances were fabricated using femtosecond laser with phase mask technique in standard single-mode fiber.The simulation results were verified by the experiment.A bending sensitivity of 0.055 d B/m^(-1) was achieved with an offset distance of 4μm.The simulation and experiment results suggest that the grating offset distance has a greater influence on the sensitivity of the off-axis FBG with high RI modulation than that with low RI modulation.The proposed sensor structure and simulation results can provide suggestion for the design and processing of off-axis FBG bending sensors.CUI Wei ZHOU Yanfang YAN Zhonghua GUO Junqi YUE Yiting CHEN Hao 2022Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,4:1

8Design and numerical simulation of SPF-PCF-SPF fluid sensing system based on photoelectric oscillator显示文摘In this paper,an optical fiber fluid sensing system based on optoelectronic oscillator(OEO)was proposed and studied numerically.The fluid sensor head is constructed by splicing two sections of side-polished fiber(SPF)to one section of photonic crystal fiber(PCF).Fluid sample can flow continuously through the holes of PCF.The refractive index(RI)change of the fluid sample can lead to the effective RI change of the fiber,resulting in frequency change of microwave signal generated by OEO.By monitoring the oscillation frequency using an electronic spectrum analyzer(ESA),the RI of fluid sample can be measured.Thanks to the fast interrogation speed of ESAs,the measuring speed can be increased significantly compared to traditional optical fiber RI sensing systems using optical spectrometers.The sensing principle of the system was studied.The sensitivity of the proposed system was evaluated by simulation,and an RI sensitivity of-14.20 MHz/RIU can be achieved.The results show that with proper system design,real-time RI measurement with high sensitivity can be achieved.Increasing the length of the PCF while under the premise of the fluid parameters will be the most reasonable way to improve the sensitivity.The proposed design and simulation results can provide suggestions for the fabrication and optimization of fluid sensing systems used for real-time detection and measurement of biological elements and heavy metal ions in liquid environment.GUO Junqi YUE Yiting CUI Wei ZOU Xinhai YANG Haoyu YANG Junkai 2022Optoelectronics Letters2022,18,6:0

10SIRT2 interacts with DDX24 to promote nasopharyngeal carcinoma growth显示文摘Background:Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is one of the most prevalent cancers in Southeast Asia.Sirtuin 2(SIRT2)is a member of the NAD+-dependent deacetylase family and has been shown to play important roles in numerous biological processes.However,Its function in NPC remains uncertain.The primary aim of this study is to clarify the role of SIRT2 in NPC.Methods:In this research,we examined the effect of SIRT2 silencing on NPC cell proliferation and colony formation using vitro NPC cell lines.Co-immunoprecipitation and mass spectrometry was applied to identify SIRT2-interacting proteins in NPC cells.Results:In comparison to nasopharyngeal epithelial NP69 cells,SIRT2 was up-regulated in multiple NPC cell lines,particularly in CNE2 cells.SIRT2 knockdown abrogated CNE2 cell proliferation and colony formation,whereas SIRT2 overexpression promoted HNE1 cell proliferation and colony formation.The SIRT2-interacting proteins were gathered in gene expression and regulation processes including RNA processing and translation.Among the SIRT2-interacting proteins,there were multiple DEAD-box(DDX)family members.Of note,silencing of DDX24 phenocopied the effect of SIRT2 knockdown on NPC growth.Overexpression of DDX24 restored SIRT2-depleted CNE2 cells to proliferative and colony formation.Conclusions:Our study indicates that SIRT2 can interact with DDX24 to enhance NPC growth.The clinical relevance of SIRT2 and DDX24 in NPC warrants further investigation.HAIYING YUE CHUNHUI WANG HUIJUN ZHU QINGHUA DU JIAN LI XUE OU XIANGDE LI QIULU ZHONG YITING XIE DANJING LUO YIHE LI CHUNXIAO LIANG XUEMEI XU SONGNAN DU WENQI LIU 2023BIOCELL2023,47,11:0

12Fine controllable blue emission and its mechanism in Ce^(3+)-doped orthosilicate solid solution phosphors for different plant growths显示文摘The designed Ce^(3+)-doped alkaline-earth silicate phosphors Ca_mSr_(2-m-n)Ba_nSiO_4:Ce^(3+),Li^+(CSBS:Ce^(3+))were synthesized by a high temperature solid-state reaction. The crystal field splitting and the centroid shift from the free ion energy of 5 d configuration were approximated from the spectrum for Ca_2SiO_4,Sr_2SiO_4 and Ba_2SiO_4 phosphors. The single-phase purity was checked by means of X-ray diffraction. Here,when the doped concentration of Ca^(2+) is less than 80%(m ≤1.6), we report the structural phase transformation from monoclinic system β-Ca_2SiO_4 to orthorhombic system α-Ca_2SiO_4. The phosphors excited by near-ultraviolet(NUV) light at wavelengths ranging from 200 to 400 nm demonstrate a broad asymmetric blue emission band. The emission peak wavelength redshifts firstly from 417 nm of Ca_2SiO_4 to 438 nm of Sr_(0.3)Ca_(1.6)SiO_4, and then blueshifts to 411 nm of Sr_2SiO_4, and the end of 401 nm of Ba_2SiO_4.These results indicate that the tunable blue-emission of the phosphors can be realized through changing the solid solution components, which has a potential use as a blue component for fabricated precision modulation LEDs light sources and auxiliaries of SSC plastics films for different plant growths.We discuss in detail the possible mechanism and energy diagram of the tunable blue luminescence in Ca_mSr_(2-m-n)Ba_nSiO_4:Ce^(3+),Li^+ phosphors.Yaru Yang Yiting Lin Yue Han Zhongxian Qiu Wenli Zhou Jilin Zhang Chengzhi Li Liping Yu Shixun Lian 2018Journal of Rare Earths2018,36,11:0
13Mo5+ doping induced interface polarization for improving performance of planar perovskite solar cells显示文摘In this paper,we investigate how interface-induced polarization affects the photovoltaic performance of hybrid perovskite solar cell(PSC)devices.The polarization of the hole transport layer(HTL)is regulated through incorporating metalliclike Mo Ox into PEDOT:PSS.The common Mo O3 doped into PEDOT:PSS is used as a reference,and the device that used PEDOT:PSS-Mo Ox as the HTL shows an enhanced Jsc and FF compared to the reference device.The open-circuit photovoltage decay and impedance spectroscopy measurements indicate that trap-assisted recombination is effectively suppressed at the interface between the hybrid perovskite and the PEDOT:PSS-Mo Ox HTL,while severe trap assisted recombination takes place at the perovskite/PEDOT:PSS and perovskite/PEDOT:PSS-Mo O3 interface.We attribute these experimental findings to the fact that the incorporation of metallic-like Mo5+into PEDOT:PSS enhances the conductivity of HTL and the interface polarization between PEDTOT:PSS layer and perovskite,which helps to induce an interface polarization electric field to facilitate separation of charges and screen the recombination between the traps and free charges.Yurong Jiang Yue Yang Yiting Liu Shan Yan Yanxing Feng Congxin Xia 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,5:0
