1Human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy in patients with COVID-19:a phase 1 clinical trial显示文摘No effective drug treatments are available for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Host-directed therapies targeting the underlying aberrant immune responses leading to pulmonary tissue damage,death,or long-term functional disability in survivors require clinical evaluation.We performed a parallel assigned controlled,non-randomized,phase 1 clinical trial to evaluate the safety of human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells(UC-MSCs)infusions in the treatment of patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 pulmonary disease.The study enrolled 18 hospitalized patients with COVID-19(n=9 for each group).The treatment group received three cycles of intravenous infusion of UC-MSCs(3×107 cells per infusion)on days 0,3,and 6.Both groups received standard COVID-treatment regimens.Adverse events,duration of clinical symptoms,laboratory parameters,length of hospitalization,serial chest computed tomography(CT)images,the PaO2/FiO2 ratio,dynamics of cytokines,and IgG and IgM anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies were analyzed.No serious UC-MSCs infusion-associated adverse events were observed.Two patients receiving UC-MSCs developed transient facial flushing and fever,and one patient developed transient hypoxia at 12 h post UC-MSCs transfusion.Mechanical ventilation was required in one patient in the treatment group compared with four in the control group.All patients recovered and were discharged.Our data show that intravenous UC-MSCs infusion in patients with moderate and severe COVID-19 is safe and well tolerated.Phase 2/3 randomized,controlled,double-blinded trials with long-term follow-up are needed to evaluate the therapeutic use of UC-MSCs to reduce deaths and improve long-term treatment outcomes in patients with serious COVID-19.Fanping Meng Ruonan Xu Siyu Wang Zhe Xu Chao Zhang Yuanyuan Li Tao Yang Lei Shi Junliang Fu Tianjun Jiang Lei Huang Peng Zhao Xin Yuan Xing Fan Ji-Yuan Zhang Jinwen Song Dawei Zhang Yanmei Jiao Limin Liu Chunbao Zhou Markus Maeurer Alimuddin Zumla Ming Shi Fu-Sheng Wang 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:16
2Precise modeling of arc tooth face-gear with transition curve显示文摘A fabrication method is adopted for which an imaginary gear simultaneously realizes conjugated meshing with an arc tooth cylindrical gear and an arc tooth face-gear.The cutter fllet and tooth crest edge form the tooth root fllet of the gear,and the linear tooth surface equation of the imaginary gear and the position vector of the curvature center of the cutter fllet are constructed with certain cutter inclination to deduce a working arc tooth surface equation.The tooth root fllet equation of the arc tooth face-gear is derived from the meshing geometry and kinematics.A numerically controlled machining model of the arc tooth face-gear is established through the transformation of adjustment parameters from the cutter-tilt milling machine to a common multi-axis NC machine.Motion parameters of each movement axis of the NC machine are acquired.A processing example is presented to verify the precision of the fabrication method in processing the arc tooth face-gear.The method provides a theoretical and tentative basis for the analysis of tooth surface contact stress,tooth root bending stress and dynamics.A hobbing test is conducted to demonstrate the good meshing condition of the arc tooth face-gear pair.Cui Yanmei Fang Zongde Su Jinzhan Feng Xianzhang Peng Xianlong 2013Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2013,26,5:9
3Depositional architecture of the late Ordovician drowned carbonate platform margin and its responses to sea-level fluctuation in the northern slope of the Tazhong region, Tarim Basin显示文摘The Tazhong Uplift of the late Ordovician is a drowned rimmed carbonate platform. The carbonate rock of the late Ordovician Lianglitage Formation in the northern slope of the Tazhong region is one of the significant petroliferous intervals. Based on petrofacies, depositional cycles, natural gammaray spectrometry and carbon/oxygen isotope data from the Lianglitage Formation, one 2nd-order, three 3rd-order and several 4th-order sequences have been recognized, and the late Ordovician relative sealevel fluctuation curve has been established. The sequences O 3 l-1 and O 3 l-2 on the platform are composed of highstand and transgressive systems tracts, but lack the lowstand systems tract. The sequence O 3 l-3 is a drowning sequence. The sequence O 3 l-1 overlapped the eroded slope and pinched out to the northwest and landward. The highstand systems tract in the sequence O 3 l-2 consists of low-angle sigmoid and high-angle shingled progradation configuration. Major sedimentary facies of the Lianglitage Formation include reef and shoal in the platform margin and lagoon, which can be subdivided into coral-sponge-stromatoporoid reef complex, sand shoal, lime mud mound, and intershoal sea. Reefs, sand shoals and their complex are potential reservoir facies. The reefs and sand shoals in the sequence O 3 l-1 developed in the upper of its highstand systems tract. In the sequence O 3 l-2, the highstand systems tract with an internal prograding configuration is a response to the lateral shifting of the complex of reef and sand shoal. The transgressive systems tract, in particular the sand shoals, developed widely on the slope of the platform margin and interior. The reefs in the sequence O 3 l-3 migrated towards high positions and formed retrograding reefs in the western platform and low relief in the platform interior. Basinward lateral migration of the reefs and pure carbonate rock both characterize highstand systems tract and show that the rise of the relative sea-level was very slow. Shingled prograding stacking pattern of the 4th-order sequences and reefs grow horizontally, which represents the late stage of highstand systems tract and implies relative sealevel stillstand. Reefs migrating towards high land and impure carbonate rock both indicate transgressive systems tract and suggest that the relative sea-level rose fast. Erosional truncation and epidiagenetic karstification represent a falling relative sea-level. The relative sea-level fluctuation and antecedent palaeotopography control the development and distribution of reef complexes and unconformity karst zones. 4An improved Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica显示文摘A revised Landsat Image Mosaic of Antarctica (LIMA) is presented, using the 1073 multi-band scenes of the original Landsat-7 ETM+ LIMA image collection available at the United States Geological Survey (USGS: http://gffzza64998f73d704ee0hvq5bcb5vqn6u6oub.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). Three improvements have been applied during the data processing: (1) DN saturation is adjusted by adopting a linear regression, which has a lower root mean square error than the ratio regression used by LIMA; (2) solar elevation angle is calculated using pixel-level latitude/longitude and the acquisition time and date of the central pixel of the scene, improving slightly upon the bilinear interpolation of the solar elevation angles of scene corners applied in LIMA; and (3) two additional image bands, Band 5 and Band 7, are sharpened using the panchromatic band (Band 8) and a Gram-Schmidt Spectral Sharpening algorithm to more easily distinguish snow, cloud and exposed rocks. The final planetary reflectance product is stored in 16-bit bands to preserve the full radiometric content of the scenes. 5Large eddies induced by local impulse at wall of boundary layer with pressure gradients显示文摘Large eddies induced by local impulse at the wall with pressure gradients in the boundary layer was studied by direct numerical sim- ulations. The results show that the amplitude evolution, the high and low speed stripes, the formation of streamwise vortices, the ejection and sweeping, inflexions and distortion at the mean velocity profiles, as well as other characteristics, are consistent with the experimental and other numerical results. It is also found that large eddies are easy to be excited with adverse pressure gradient in the boundary layer, and the growth of amplitudes, formation of streamwise vortices and the influencing area etc., are much larger than those with favorable pressure gradient in the boundary layer. 13Hydrogen production by steam reforming of acetic acid and bio-oil using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalysts显示文摘Hydrogen production from steam reforming of bio-oil and acetic acid using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst was studied in a laboratory-scale fixed bed reactor.This study selected different Ni loadings(16.8%and 30.5%)in Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalysts and reaction temperatures(500°C,600°C and 700°C)as variables to optimize the hydrogen yield and selectivity of gases formed.Experiments were carried out in an isothermal manner.The catalysts were prepared on wet impregnation of aγ-Al2O3 which supported with two different Ni loadings.The principal gases generated were H2,CO,CO2 and CH4.The results from steam reforming of acetic acid showed that the yield and selectivity of hydrogen using the catalyst with 30.5%Ni were significantly higher than that with 16.8%Ni.The results showed that the most favorable temperature for hydrogen production was 600°C,and the steam reforming of bio-oil using Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst with 30.5%Ni showed that the yields and selectivity of H2 and CO2 increased with the temperature increasing while CH4 and CO selectivity decreased.These results showed that the most favorable temperature for hydrogen production from bio-oil using 30.5%Ni/γ-Al2O3 was 600°C,at which hydrogen yield was at its maximum of 65%.Li Yanmei Fu Peng Yi Weiming Bai Xueyuan 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,6:1

15Impact of preoperative therapy on surgical outcomes of laparoscopic total gastrectomy for gastric/gastroesophageal junction cancer显示文摘Objective: As laparoscopic surgery is widely applied for primarily treated gastric cancer(GC)/gastroesophageal junction cancer(GEJC) and gains many advantages, the feasibility of laparoscopic total gastrectomy(LTG) for GC/GEJC patients who have received preoperative therapy(PT) has come to the fore. This study aims to analyze the safety and feasibility of LTG after PT for GC/GEJC patients.Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the data of 511 patients with GC/GEJC undergoing LTG, of which 405received LTG(LTG group) and 106 received PT+LTG(PT-LTG group) at Nanfang Hospital between June 2018and September 2022. The surgical outcomes were compared between the two groups.Results: The surgical duration was significantly longer in the PT-LTG group(P<0.001), while the incidence of intraoperative complications(P=1.000), postoperative complications(LTG group vs. PT-LTG group: 26.2% vs.23.6%, P=0.587), the classification of complication severity(P=0.271), and postoperative recovery was similar between two groups. Notably, the incidence of anastomotic complications of esophagojejunostomy was also comparable between the two groups(LTG group vs. PT-LTG group: 5.9% vs. 5.7%, P=0.918). The univariate and multivariate analysis confirmed that positive proximal margin [positive vs. negative: odds ratio(OR)=14.094, 95%confidence interval(95% CI): 2.639-75.260, P=0.002], rather than PT, has an impact on anastomotic complications after LTG(OR=0.945, 95% CI: 0.371-2.408, P=0.905).Conclusions: PT did not increase the surgical risk of LTG for GC/GEJC. 16Improving hole transfer of boron nitride quantum dots modified PDI for efficient photodegradation显示文摘In recent years,organic photocatalyst under visible-light absorption has shown significant potential for solving environmental problems.However,it is still a great challenge for constructing a highly active organic photocatalyst due to the low separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers.Herein,an effective and robust photocatalyst perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diamide/boron nitride quantum dots(PDI/BNQDs),consisting of selfassemble PDI withπ–πstacking structure and BNQDs,has been constructed and researched under visible light irradiation.The PDI/BNQDs composite gradually increases organic pollutant photodegradation with the loading amount of BNQDs.With 10 mL of BNQDs solution added(PDI/BNQDs-10),the organic pollutant photodegradation performance reaches a maximum,about 6.16 times higher with methylene blue and 1.68 times higher with ciprofloxacin than that of pure PDI supramolecular.The enhancement is attributed to improved separation of photogenerated carriers from self-assembled PDI by BNQDs due to their preeminent ability to extract holes.This work is significant for the supplement of PDI supramolecular composite materials.We believe that this photocatalytic design is capable of expanding organic semiconductors’potential for their applications in photocatalysis.Shiqing Ma Chundong Peng Zeyu Jia Yanmei Feng Kai Chen Hao Ding Daimei Chen Zhong-Yong Yuan 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,11:0
17Large valley-polarized state in single-layer NbX2 (X=S,Se):Theoretical prediction显示文摘Exploring two-dimensional valleytronic crystals with large valley-polarized state is of considerable importance due to the promising applications in next-generation information related devices.Here,we show first-principles evidence that single-layer NbX_(2)(X=S,Se)is potentially the long-sought two-dimensional valleytronic crystal.Specifically,the valley-polarized state is found to occur spontaneously in single-layer NbX_(2),without needing any external tuning,which arises from their intrinsic magnetic exchange interaction and inversion asymmetry.Moreover,the strong spin-orbit coupling strength within Nb-d orbitals renders their valley-polarized states being of remarkably large(NbS_(2)∼156 meV/NbSe_(2)∼219 meV),enabling practical utilization of their valley physics accessible.In additional,it is predicted that the valley physics(i.e.,anomalous valley Hall effect)in single-layer NbX_(2) is switchable via applying moderate strain.These findings make single-layer NbX_(2) tantalizing candidates for realizing high-performance and controllable valleytronic devices.Yanmei Zang Yandong Ma Rui Peng Hao Wang Baibiao Huang Ying Dai 2021Nano Research2021,14,3:0
18Thermo-optically tunable spectral broadening in a nonlinear ultra-silicon-rich nitride Bragg grating显示文摘Spectral tunability methods used in optical communications and signal processing leveraging optical,electrical,and acousto-optic effects typically involve spectral truncation that results in energy loss.Here we demonstrate temperature tunable spectral broadening using a nonlinear ultra-silicon-rich nitride device consisting of a 3-mm-long cladding-modulated Bragg grating and a 7-mm-long nonlinear channel waveguide.By operating at frequencies close to the grating band edge,in an apodized Bragg grating,we access strong grating-induced dispersion while maintaining low losses and high transmissivity.We further exploit the redshift in the Bragg grating stopband due to the thermo-optic effect to achieve tunable dispersion,leading to varying degrees of soliton-effect compression and self-phase-modulation-induced spectral broadening.We observe an increase in the bandwidth of the output pulse spectrum from 69 to 106 nm as temperature decreases from 70℃ to 25℃,in good agreement with simulated results using the generalized nonlinear Schrödinger equation.The demonstrated approach provides a new avenue to achieve on-chip laser spectral tuning without loss in pulse energy.Yanmei Cao Ezgi Sahin Ju Won Choi Peng Xing George F.R.Chen D.K.T.Ng Benjamin J.Eggleton Dawn T.H.Tan 2021Photonics Research2021,9,4:0
19Adaptation analysis and fusion correction method of CMIP6 precipitation simulation data on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘In order to obtain more accurate precipitation data and better simulate the precipitation on the Tibetan Plateau,the simulation capability of 14 Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)models of historical precipitation(1982-2014)on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau was evaluated in this study.Results indicate that all models exhibit an overestimation of precipitation through the analysis of the Taylor index,temporal and spatial statistical parameters.To correct the overestimation,a fusion correction method combining the Backpropagation Neural Network Correction(BP)and Quantum Mapping(QM)correction,named BQ method,was proposed.With this method,the historical precipitation of each model was corrected in space and time,respectively.The correction results were then analyzed in time,space,and analysis of variance(ANOVA)with those corrected by the BP and QM methods,respectively.Finally,the fusion correction method results for each model were compared with the Climatic Research Unit(CRU)data for significance analysis to obtain the trends of precipitation increase and decrease for each model.The results show that the IPSL-CM6A-LR model is relatively good in simulating historical precipitation on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau(R=0.7,RSME=0.15)among the uncorrected data.In terms of time,the total precipitation corrected by the fusion method has the same interannual trend and the closest precipitation values to the CRU data;In terms of space,the annual average precipitation corrected by the fusion method has the smallest difference with the CRU data,and the total historical annual average precipitation is not significantly different from the CRU data,which is better than BP and QM.Therefore,the correction effect of the fusion method on the historical precipitation of each model is better than that of the QM and BP methods.The precipitation in the central and northeastern parts of the plateau shows a significant increasing trend.The correlation coefficients between monthly precipitation and site-detected precipitation for all models after BQ correction exceed 0.8.PENG Hao QIN Dahui WANG Zegen ZHANG Menghan YANG Yanmei YONG Zhiwei 2024Journal of Mountain Science2024,21,2:0
20The variation characteristics and effect factors of surface ozone concentration in the Taklimakan Desert hinterland显示文摘Based on automatic continuous surface ozone concentration observation data from June 10,2010 to March 20,2012 in the Taklimakan Desert hinterland,combined with corresponding meteorological data,the temporal,seasonal and daily variation characteristics of surface ozone concentrations under different weather conditions were analyzed.At the same time,the main factors affecting ozone variation are discussed.Results show that:(1)Daily variation of ozone concentration was characterized by one obvious peak,with gentle changes during the night and dramatic changes during the day.The lowest concentration was at09:00 and the highest was at 18:00.Compared to urban areas,there was a slight time delay.(2)Ozone concentration variation had a weekend effect phenomenon.Weekly variation of ozone concentration decreased from Monday to Wednesday with the lowest in Wednesday,and increased after Thursday with the highest in Sunday.(3)The highest monthly average concentration was 89.6μg/m3in June 2010,and the lowest was 32.0μg/m3in January 2012.Ozone concentration reduced month by month from June to December in 2010.(4)Ozone concentration in spring and summer was higher than in autumn and winter.The variation trend agreed with those in other large and medium-sized cities.(5)Under four different types of weather,daily ozone concentration varied most dramatically in sunny days,followed by slight variation in rain days,and varied gently in cloudy days.Ozone concentration varied inconspicuously before a sandstorm appearance,and dropped rapidly at the onset of a sandstorm.(6)Daily variation of radiation was also characterized by a single peak,and the variation was significantly earlier than ozone concentration variation.Sun radiation intensity had a direct influence on the photochemical reaction speed,leading to variation of ozone concentration.(7)Daily average ozone concentration in dust weather was higher than in slight rain and clear days.The variation of near surface ozone concentration could also be affected by meteorological factors such as relative humidity,wind speed,wind direction and sunshine hours.Thus,numerous factors working together led to ozone pollution.XinChun Liu YuTing Zhong Qing He YanMei Peng XingHua Yang Ali Mamtimin Wen Huo 2014Research in Cold and Arid Regions2014,6,1:0
