12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 2A Chromosome-Scale Genome Assembly of Paper Mulberry(Bmussonetia papyrifera)Provides New Insights into Its Forage and Papermaking Usage显示文摘Paper mulberry(Broussonetia papyrifera)is a well-known woody tree historically used for Cai Lun papermaking,one of the four great inventions of ancient China.More recently,Paper mulberry has also been used as forage to address the shortage of feedstuff because of its digestible crude fiber and high protein contents.In this study,we obtained a chromosome-scale genome assembly for Paper mulberry using integrated approaches,including Illumina and PacBio sequencing platform as well as Hi-C,optical,and genetic maps.The assembled Paper mulberry genome consists of 386.83 Mb,which is close to the estimated size,and 99.25%(383.93 Mb)of the assembly was assigned to 13 pseudochromosomes.Comparative genomic analysis revealed the expansion and contraction in the flavonoid and lignin biosynthetic gene families,respectively,accounting for the enhanced flavonoid and decreased lignin biosynthesis in Paper mulberry.Moreover,the increased ratio of syringyl-lignin to guaiacyl-lignin in Paper mulberry underscores its suitability for use in medicine,forage,papermaking,and barkcloth making.We also identified the rootassociated microbiota of Paper mulberry and found that Pseudomonas and Rhizobia were enriched in its roots and may provide the source of nitrogen for its stems and leaves via symbiotic nitrogen fixation.Collectively,these results suggest that Paper mulberry might have undergone adaptive evolution and recruited nitrogen-fixing microbes to promote growth by enhancing flavonoid production and altering lignin monomer composition.Our study provides significant insights into genetic basis of the usefulness of Paper mulberry in papermaking and barkcloth making,and as forage.These insights will facilitate further domestication and selection as well as industrial utilization of Paper mulberry worldwide.Xianjun Peng Hui Liu Peilin Chen Feng Tang Yanmin Hu Fenfen Wang Zhi Pi Meiling Zhao Naizhi Chen Hui Chen Xiaokang Zhang Xueqing Yan Min Liu Xiaojun Fu Guofeng Zhao Pu Yao Lili Wang He Dai Xuming Li Wei Xiong Wencai Xu Hongkun Zheng Haiyan Yu Shihua Shen 2019Molecular Plant2019,12,5:18
3One century sedimentary record of lead and zinc pollution in Yangzong Lake, a highland lake in southwestern China显示文摘Reconstruction of trace metal pollution histories and sources may help us to regulate current pollutant discharge. This is especially important for the highland lakes in southwestern China, which are facing trace metals pollution. We present sedimentary records of 11 metals accumulated in Yangzong Lake since the 1870's, a highland lake in southwestern China. Pollution of lead and zinc (Pb and Zn) was differentiated based on principal component analysis, geochemical normalization, and lead isotope ratios. Nearly all the metals as well as grain size composition show generally constant values before the mid-1980's, denoting stable detrital input in the catchment. Fluctuations in the concentrations of the metals as well as grain size composition since the mid-1980's indicate an increase in soil erosion with strengthened human disturbance in the catchment. After geochemical normalization, Pb and Zn showed constant values before 1990 AD and then a gradual increase in parallel with the variations in 208Pb/206Pb and 207Pb/206Pb ratios, indicating that Pb and Zn pollution occurred. 4^(14)C measurement of forest soils in Dinghushan Biosphere Reserve显示文摘Organic carbon in forest soils of Qingyunsi and Wukesong profiles can be divided into fast and slow components. Δ14C values of these profiles decrease with increasing of depth. The Δ14C values in 30—40 cm depth interval of Wukesong profile are decreasing sharply until a very low value,showing that a strong geological environment change occurred about 1 560 years ago. The 14C apparent ages of Wukesong profile show that the coniferous and broad-leaf mixed forests around Wukesong profile have been developing since 425 a BP, which is consistent with historical documents. 5Vegetation evolution on the central Chinese Loess Plateau since late Quaternary evidenced by elemental carbon isotopic composition显示文摘There are many controversial issues in loess studies such as natural vegetation types on the Chinese Loess Plateau during the historical periods and the spatial and temporal evolution of C3/C4 plants. Elemental carbon isotopic composition (δ13Cec) in the loess section may offer new evidence for these problems. Elemental carbon (EC) is produced by incomplete combustion of vegetation, and its carbon isotopic composition has a very small difference from that of the formal vegetation, then δ13Cec can be used as a record to recover the changes of vegetation. Elemental carbon was extracted by applying the oxidation method from the loess-paleosol sequence in the central Chinese Loess Plateau, and its carbon isotope composition was analyzed by the isotope mass spectrometer. The results showed that the vegetation in this region was a mixed type of C3 and C4 plants, dominated with C3 plants in most of the time. Since late Quaternary, C3/C4 plants may not follow a simple glacial-interglacial cycle mode on the Chinese Loess Plateau, but showing fluctuations. C3 plants increased gradually in L4 period, and more C3 plants occurred during S3 period, and C4 plants increased again during L3―L2 periods, after that, C3 plants dominated again during S1―S0 periods. During periods of paleosol development, C3 plants were abundant in S3 and S1, and there were more C4 plants in S2 and S0. During periods of loess sedimen- tation, there were more C3 plants in L4 and L1, and there were more C4 plants in L3 and L2. 6The elemental carbon record in Weinan loess section since the last 21 ka显示文摘We studied the records of elemental carbon (EC) of the last 21 ka in the Weinan loess section, Shanxi Province. The variations of EC abundance and δ13CEC value along with depth (or age) were presented. There are four large peaks of EC abundance around the following years: 20.16 ka, 17.76 ka, 11.97 ka and 4.49 ka. Climatic situation was changed rapidly during these periods. The peaks around 11.97 ka and 20.16 ka are particularly sharp, occurring over intervals of tens to hundreds of years, which could represent short-duration intense events. δ13CEc values in the upper 4 m of the Weinan loess section vary between -11.71‰ and -21.34‰, which suggests that the vegetation pattern of the last 21 ka on the Loess Plateau is G4-dominated grasses.YANG Ying SHEN Chengde YI Weixi SUN Yanmin LIU Dongsheng 2001Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,18:5

8A biomass burning record from the Lingtai Loess Section during the last 370 ka and implication for climate and environment显示文摘The history of natural fire and its rela- tionship with climate and vegetation are revealed from the content of elemental carbon and associated pollen data and paleoclimatic substitutive indicators for the loess of Lingtai Section in the last 370 ka BP. The study indicates that intense episodes of vegeta- tion fires occurred during the interim especially when the climate was changing from wet to drought. The average content of elemental carbon in the intergla- ciers is higher than that in the glaciers, which coin- cides with the biomass change locally (or globally). The content of elemental carbon increases in the stage around 130 ka BP, indicating that the vegeta- tion and climate pattern have changed, which may contribute to the variation of CO2. As a whole, the content of elemental carbon increasing with the time reflects the increasing aridity trend to some degree. 9Spatially Different Nutrient Histories Recorded by Multiple Cores and Implications for Management in Taihu Lake, Eastern China显示文摘The Taihu Lake,a large shallow lake in the floodplain of the Changjiang(Yangtze) River in the eastern China,is faced with challenging ecological problems resulting from eutrophication,which has affected the regional freshwater supply of a large population.Although efforts have been made to assess the nutrient evolution histories in the northern bays,little is known regarding nutrient histories in different parts across the entire lake basin.In this paper,we present nutrient histories for different parts of the lake based on chironomid transfer functions applied to four short cores obtained from the northern,western and eastern regions of the lake.The chironomid-inferred total phosphorus(CI-TP) concentrations were compared with the phosphorus concentrations obtained by using instrumental and sedimentary data.The results suggest that trophic evolution histories were asynchronous throughout the lake during the past decades in response to different ecological regimes controlled by the nutrient input,wind direction and shoreline topography.The restoration of aquatic plants may be an effective option for the management of lake rehabilitation to ′natural′ conditions.Given the multiple factors controlling the biotic communities in such a large and complex lake,combined analyses among the multi-proxies encountered in the sediments are necessary for comprehensive insight into paleolimnological studies.The spatial heterogeneity in the ecological trajectories within this complicated ecosystem suggests that different management practices should be undertaken for specific lake zones in the Taihu Lake.CAO Yanmin ZHANG Enlou Peter LANGDON LIU Enfeng SHEN Ji 2013Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,5:2

16Integrating genome-wide association and transcriptome analysis to provide molecular insights into heterophylly and eco-adaptability in woody plants显示文摘Heterophylly is regard as an important adaptive mechanism in response to different environments within plants.However,the genetic mechanisms responsible for heterophylly in woody plants are still poorly understood.Herein,the divergence of heterophyllous leaves was investigated at morphogenesis and using microdissection and physiological indexes in paper mulberry,and the genetic basis of heterophylly was further revealed combined with genome-wide association study(GWAS),transcriptome analysis and weighted gene coexpression network analysis(WGCNA).Our results revealed that the flavonoid content and antioxidant activity increased gradually from the entire leaf to the palmatisect leaf,while the hormone content and net photosynthetic rate decreased.Through GWAS and transcriptome analysis,a total of 98 candidate genes and 2338 differentially expressed genes associated with heterophylly were identified.Importantly,we uncovered critical variations in the candidate genes Bp07g0981(WOX)and Bp07g0920(HHO),along with significant differences in haplotypes and expression levels among heterophyllous leaves.Our results also suggested that the genes involved in hormone signaling pathways,antioxidant activity,and f lavonoid metabolism might be closely related to the heterophylly of paper mulberry,which could account for the physiological data.Indeed,CR-wox mutant lines showed significant changes in leaf phenotypes,and differential expression profile analysis also highlighted the expression of genes related to phytohormones and transcription factors.Together,the genetic variations and candidate genes detected in this study provide novel insights into the genetic mechanism of heterophylly,and would improve the understanding of eco-adaptability in heterophyllous woody plants.Yanmin Hu Feng Tang Dan Zhang Shihua Shen Xianjun Peng 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,11:0

18Synthesis of(HfZrTiNbTa)N powders via nitride thermal reduction with soft mechano-chemical assistance显示文摘High-entropy nitride powders are one of prerequisite materials for the preparation of high-performance high-entropy nitride ceramics.In this paper,high-entropy(HfZrTiNbTa)N powders were synthesized via nitride(i.e.,silicon nitride(Si_(3)N_(4)))thermal reduction with soft mechanochemical assistance.The results show that metal oxides like hafnium dioxide(HfO_(2)),zirconium dioxide(ZrO_(2)),titanium dioxide(TiO_(2)),niobium pentoxide(Nb_(2)O_(5)),and tantalum pentoxide(Ta_(2)O_(5))can all be transformed into the corresponding metal nitrides in the presence of Si_(3)N_(4)at 1700℃,and solid solution of the metal nitrides can be formed as the temperature increases to 2100℃.The high-entropy(HfZrTiNbTa)N powders with submicron-sized particles,a narrower size distribution,and a single face-centered cubic(fcc)structure are obtained from raw material mixtures ground for 10 h and subsequently sintered at 1800℃.In addition,the high-entropy bulk nitride ceramics with relative density(Rw)of 94.31%±0.76%,Vickers hardness of 21.00±0.94 GPa,and fracture toughness(KIC)of 3.18±0.16 MPa·m1/2 are obtained with submicron-sized powders,which are superior to those obtained with micron-sized powders.Xiang Liu Youjun Lu Qian Xu Lutong Yang Hongfang Shen Wenzhou Sun Xiao Zhang Yanmin Wang 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,3:0
19Clinical and genetic analysis of two Chinese families with benign familial neonatal convulsions显示文摘Benign familial neonatal convulsions (BFNC) is a rare autosomal dominant inherited epilepsy syndrome. Two voltage-gated potassium channel genes, KCNQ2 and KCNQ3, have been identified as the genes responsible for BFNC. Here we report two Chinese families with clinical histories of typical BFNC. Using six microsatellite markers, two located at KCNQ2 locus and four at KCNQ3 locus, linkage analysis was performed in the two families, which excluded the linkage of BFNC to KCNQ3, but could not exclude the linkage to KCNQ2. Direct DNA sequencing of the KCNQ2 gene in the two families was performed, and two formerly unknown polymorphisms were identified, but no KCNQ2 mutation was found in the two families. 20The promoting effect of interstitial hydrogen on the oxygen reduction performance of PtPd alloy nanotubes for fuel cells显示文摘Highly efficient and stable oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalysts are remarkably important but challenging for advancing the large-scale commercialization of practical proton exchange membrane fuel cells(PEMFCs).In this work,we report that the introduction of interstitial hydrogen atoms into PtPd nanotubes can significantly promote ORR performance without scarifying the durability.The enhanced mass activity was 8.8 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C.The accelerated durability test showed negligible activity attenuation after 30,000 cycles.Additionally,H2/O2 fuel cell tests further verified the excellent activity of PtPd-H nanotubes with a maximum power density of 1.32 W·cm^(−2),superior to that of commercial Pt/C(1.16 W·cm^(−2)).Density functional theory calculations demonstrated the incorporation of hydrogen atoms gives rise to the broadening of Pt d-band and the downshift of d-band center,which consequently leads to the weaker intermediates binding and enhanced ORR activity.Tingting Chao Xuan Luo Mengzhao Zhu Yanmin Hu Yida Zhang Yunteng Qu Hantao Peng Xiaoshuang Shen Xusheng Zheng Liang Zhang Xun Hong 2023Nano Research2023,16,2:0
