1Hf isotopic composition of zircons from the Huashan-Guposhan intrusive complex and their mafic enclaves in northeastern Guangxi:Implication for petrogenesis显示文摘High precision zircon U-Pb dating indicates that main intrusive bodies (Tong'an,Niumiao,Huashan,Lisong),and a mafic microgranular enclave in the Huashan-Guposhan complex were formed at 160-163 Ma.The εHf(t) values of zircons from the Huashan granite vary from -2.8 to +0.3 and those from the Lisong granite vary from -2.3 to +0.3,which are obviously different with those values (+2.6 to +7.4) of the mafic enclaves from the Lisong granite.These Hf isotopic data indicate that the mafic enclaves and host granites were crystallized from different sources of magmas,providing evidence for mafic-felsic magma mixing processes.The highest εHf(t) value of zircons from the mafic enclaves is up to +7.4,indicating that the mafic magma was originated from a relatively depleted mantle source.Studies on regional geology and the contemporaneous mafic and alkaline rocks in this area indicate that the mafic magma was not originated from reworking of basaltic juvenile crust,but from partial melting of the mantle.However,it remains to be resolved whether the mafic magma was derived from partial melting of the asthenosphere or the lithospheric mantle.The Huashan granite and the Lisong granite were formed from hybrid magma of mantle-derived and crust-derived magmas,and the mafic enclaves are considered as remains of mantle-derived magma during mixing processes.The εHf(t) values of zircons from the Niumiao diorite vary from -1.1 to +2.1,and those from the Tong'an quartz monzonite vary from -1.7 to +1.7.These values are lower than those from the mafic enclaves,suggesting that the diorite and monzonite were formed from different source-derived magmas with the mafic enclaves.The εHf(t) values for the Niumiao diorite and the Tong'an monzonite are only slightly higher than those for the Hushan granite and the Lisong granite.Abundant mafic enclaves also occur in the Niumiao diorite and in the Tong'an monzonite.Thus,we suggest that the Niumiao diorite and the Tong'an monzonite were probably also formed from the same hybrid magma as the granites but come through less degree of fractional crystallization and crustal contamination.The strong mantle-derived and crust-derived magma mixing caused by an intense crustal extension and thinning in the Mid-Late Jurassic may be the major mechanism for generating the diorites and granites in southeastern Hunan and northeastern Guangxi belt in South China.ZHAO KuiDong JIANG ShaoYong ZHU JinChu LI Liang DAI BaoZhang JIANG YaoHui LING HongFei 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,6:24
2Causes and Changes of Drought in China:Research Progress and Prospects显示文摘Drought is one of the most serious and extensive natural hazards in the world.Subject to monsoon climate variability,China is particularly influenced by drought hazards,especially meteorological drought.Based on a comprehensive understanding of the current status of international drought research,this paper systematically reviews the history and achievements of drought research in China since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,from four main perspectives:characteristics and spatiotemporal distribution of historical and recent drought events,drought formation mechanism and change trend,drought hazard risk,and the particular flash drought.The progress and problems of drought research in China are analyzed and future prospects are proposed,with emphasis on the multi-factor synergetic effect for drought formation;the effect of land-atmosphere interaction;identification,monitoring,and prediction of flash drought;categorization of drought and characteristics among various types of drought;the agricultural drought development;drought response to climate warming;and assessment of drought hazard risks.It is suggested that strengthening scientific experimental research on drought in China is imperative.The present review is conducive to strategic planning of drought research and application,and may facilitate further development of drought research in China.Qiang ZHANG Yubi YAO Yaohui LI Jianping HUANG Zhuguo MA Zhilan WANG Suping WANG Ying WANG Yu ZHANG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:8
3Regional and Global Land Data Assimilation Systems: Innovations,Challenges, and Prospects显示文摘Since the North American and Global Land Data Assimilation Systems(NLDAS and GLDAS) were established in2004, significant progress has been made in development of regional and global LDASs. National, regional, projectbased, and global LDASs are widely developed across the world. This paper summarizes and overviews the development, current status, applications, challenges, and future prospects of these LDASs. We first introduce various regional and global LDASs including their development history and innovations, and then discuss the evaluation, validation, and applications(from numerical model prediction to water resources management) of these LDASs. More importantly, we document in detail some specific challenges that the LDASs are facing: quality of the in-situ observations, satellite retrievals, reanalysis data, surface meteorological forcing data, and soil and vegetation databases; land surface model physical process treatment and parameter calibration; land data assimilation difficulties; and spatial scale incompatibility problems. 4Attribution of the Tibetan Plateau to northern drought显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP),which is located inAsia and has an average elevation of over 4000 m,acts as a raised source of heat[1]and an isolated region of humidity in the atmosphere[2].The TP serves as a‘world water tower’because it stores large amounts of water as glaciers,lakes and rivers[2].Furthermore,previous studies have found that the eastward outflow of water vapor and clouds away from the TP contributes significantly to precipitation over downstream regions.However,the dynamic mechanism behind these observations is still unclear.It is known that the key driver in the transportation of air and water resources from theTP is the wind field.Under global warming,the poleward limit change of the tropical Hadley circulation and the thermal effect of the terrain over the TP forces the mid-latitude subtropical westerly jet(SWJ)to shift[3].However,the true effects of the SWJ shift are unclear.Therefore,to reduce uncertainties in weather forecasting and climate prediction,a dynamic explanation of the relationship between atmospheric circulation and its influence on precipitation over the northern area of China is urgent.Yuzhi Liu Yaohui Li Jianping Huang Qingzhe Zhu Shanshan Wang 2020National Science Review2020,7,3:6
5Turbulence Intensity and Turbulent Kinetic Energy Parameters over a Heterogeneous Terrain of Loess Plateau显示文摘A deep understanding of turbulence structure is important for investigating the characteristics of the atmospheric boundary layer,especially over heterogeneous terrain.In the present study,turbulence intensity and turbulent kinetic energy(TKE)parameters are analyzed for different conditions with respect to stability,wind direction and wind speed over a valley region of the Loess Plateau of China during December 2003 and January 2004.The purpose of the study is to examine whether the observed turbulence intensity and TKE parameters satisfy Monin–Obukhov similarity theory(MOST),and analyze the wind shear effect on,and thermal buoyancy function of,the TKE,despite the terrain heterogeneity.The results demonstrate that the normalized intensity of turbulence follows MOST for all stability in the horizontal and vertical directions,as well as the normalized TKE in the horizontal direction.The shear effect of the wind speed in the Loess Plateau region is strong in winter and could enhance turbulence for all stability conditions.During daytime,the buoyancy and shear effect together constitute the generation of TKE under unstable conditions.At night,the contribution of buoyancy to TKE is relatively small,and mechanical shearing is the main production form of turbulence.YUE Ping ZHANG Qiang WANG Runyuan LI Yaohui WANG Sheng 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,9:5

7Fusobacterium nucleatum enhances the efficacy of PD-L1 blockade in colorectal cancer显示文摘Given that only a subset of patients with colorectal cancer(CRC)benefit from immune checkpoint therapy,efforts are ongoing to identify markers that predict immunotherapeutic response.Increasing evidence suggests that microbes influence the efficacy of cancer therapies.Fusobacterium nucleatum induces different immune responses in CRC with different microsatellite-instability(MSI)statuses.Here,we investigated the effect of F.nucleatum on anti-PD-L1 therapy in CRC.We found that high F.nucleatum levels correlate with improved therapeutic responses to PD-1 blockade in patients with CRC.Additionally,F.nucleatum enhanced the antitumor effects of PD-L1 blockade on CRC in mice and prolonged survival.Combining F.nucleatum supplementation with immunotherapy rescued the therapeutic effects of PD-L1 blockade.Furthermore,F.nucleatum induced PD-L1 expression by activating STING signaling and increased the accumulation of interferon-gamma(IFN-γ)^(+)CD8^(+)tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(TILs)during treatment with PD-L1 blockade,thereby augmenting tumor sensitivity to PD-L1 blockade.Finally,patient-derived organoid models demonstrated that increased F.nucleatum levels correlated with an improved therapeutic response to PD-L1 blockade.These findings suggest that F.nucleatum may modulate immune checkpoint therapy for CRC.Yaohui Gao Dexi Bi Ruting Xie Man Li Jing Guo Hu Liu Xianling Guo Juemin Fang Tingting Ding Huiyuan Zhu Yuan Cao Meichun Xing Jiayi Zheng Qing Xu Qian Xu Qing Wei Huanlong Qin 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,12:3

9Activation of Piezo1 contributes to matrix stiffness-induced angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Background:Despite integrin being highlighted as a stiffness-sensor molecule in matrix stiffness-driven angiogenesis,other stiffness-sensor molecules and their mechanosensory pathways related to angiogenesis in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remain obscure.Here,we explored the interplay between Piezo1 and integrinβ1 in the mechanosensory pathway and their effects on HCC angiogenesis to better understand matrix stiffness-induced angiogenesis.Methods:The role of Piezo1 in matrix stiffness-induced angiogenesis was investigated using orthotopic liver cancer SD rat models with high liver stiffness background,and its clinical significance was evaluated in human HCC tissues.Matrix stiffness-mediated Piezo1 upregulation and activation were assayed using an in vitro fibronectin(FN)-coated cell culture system with different stiffness,Western blotting and Ca^(2+)probe.The effects of shPiezo1-conditioned medium(CM)on angiogenesis were examined by tube formation assay,wound healing assay and angiogenesis array.The underlying mechanism by which Piezo1 participated in matrix stiffness-induced angiogenesis was analyzed by microRNA quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR),matrix stiffness measurement,dual-luciferase reporter assay,ubiquitination assay and co-immunoprecipitation.Results:Increased matrix stiffness significantly upregulated Piezo1 expression at both cellular and tissue levels,and high expression of Piezo1 indicated an unfavorable prognosis.High matrix stiffness also noticeably enhanced the activation level of Piezo1,similar to its expression level.Piezo1 knockdown significantly suppressed tumor growth,angiogenesis,and lung metastasis of HCC rat models with high liver stiffness background.shPiezo1-CM from HCC cells attenuated tube formation and migration abilities of vascular endothelial cells remarkably,and analysis of differentially expressed pro-angiogenic factors revealed that Piezo1 promoted the expression and secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),CXC chemokine ligand 16(CXCL16)and insulin-like growth factor binding protein 2(IGFBP2).Matrix stiffness-caused Piezo1 upregulation/activation restrained hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)ubiquitination,subsequently enhanced the expression of downstream pro-angiogenic factors to accelerate HCC angiogenesis.Besides,collagen 1(COL1)-reinforced tissue stiffening resulted in more expression of Piezo1 via miR-625-5p.Conclusions:This study unravels a new mechanism by which the inte-grinβ1/Piezo1 activation/Ca2+influx/HIF-1αubiquitination/VEGF,CXCL16 and IGFBP2 pathway participates in matrix stiffness-driven HCC angiogenesis.Simultaneously,a positive feedback regulation loop as stiff matrix/integrinβ1/miR-625-5p/Piezo1 and COL1/stiffer matrix mediates matrix stiffness-caused Piezo1 upregulation.Miao Li Xi Zhang Mimi Wang Yaohui Wang Jiali Qian Xiaoxia Xing Zhiming Wang Yang You Kun Guo Jie Chen Dongmei Gao Yan Zhao Lan Zhang Rongxin Chen Jiefeng Cui Zhenggang Ren 2022Cancer Communications2022,42,11:3
10Thermodynamic properties of metamizol monohydrate in pure and binary solvents at temperatures from(283.15 to 313.15) K显示文摘The thermodynamic properties of metamizol monohydrate in pure solvents(methanol,ethanol,n-propanol and isopropanol) and two binary mixed solvent systems including(methanol+ethanol) and(methanol+isopropanol) were measured from 283.15 K to 313.15 K by gravimetric method under atmospheric pressure thought as 0.1 MPa.The modi fied Apelblat equation,the CNIBS/R-K equation,the Hybrid model and the NRTL model were used to correlate the solubility of metamizol monohydrate,respectively.The results show that the solubility of metamizol monohydrate in all the tested solvents increases with the rising temperature which means that it has temperature dependence.What's more,the effects of solvent components of the binary solvent mixtures on solubility were discussed,it illustrates that the increasing of the molar fraction of methanol gives the system a greater dissolving power.Furthermore,according to the NRTL model,the enthalpy,the Gibbs energy and the entropy of the mixing process were also obtained and discussed.Mingxia Guo Qiuxiang Yin Chang Wang Yaohui Huang Yang Li Zaixiang Zhang Xia Zhang Zhao Wang Meijing Zhang Ling Zhou 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,10:3
11Influences of Lorentz force on the hydrofoil lift显示文摘In this paper, Lorentz forces are proved to beable to suppress separation in flows over hydrofoils. Furthermore,a differential equation of pressure distributions on thehydrofoil surface is derived, from which it is found that B VF(boundary vortex flux) σ is a suitable criterion for describingthe lift coefficient variations during the electromagneticcontrol process. According to our numerical results, the periodicvariations of lift for a hydrofoil at an attack angle of17° are analyzed and its inherent mechanism is discussed indetail with the concept of B VF. 12Rapid control of black and odorous substances from heavilypolluted sediment by oxidation:Efficiency and effects显示文摘The control ofblack and odorous substances in sediments is of crucial importance to improve the urban ecological landscape and to restore water environments accordingly.In this study,chemical oxidation by the oxidants NaClO,H2O2,and KMnO4 was proposed to achieve rapid control of black and odorous substances in heavily-polluted sediments.Results indicate that NaClO and KMnO4 are effective at removing Fe(II)and acid volatile sulfides.The removal efficiencies of Fe(II)and AVS were determined to be 45.2%,94.1%,and 93.7%,89.5%after 24-h exposure to NaClO and KMnO4 at 0.2 mmol/g,respectively.Additionally,rapid oxidation might accelerate the release of pollutants from sediment.The release of organic matters and phosphorus with the maximum ratios of 22.1%and 51.2%was observed upon NaClO oxidation at 0.4 mmol/g.Moreover,the introduction of oxidants contributed to changes in the microbial community composition in sediment.After oxidation by NaClO and KMnO4 at 0.4 mmol/g,the Shannon index decreased from 6.72 to 5.19 and 4.95,whereas the OTU numbers decreased from 2904 to 1677 and 1553,respectively.Comparatively,H2O2 showed a lower effect on the removal of black and odorous substances,pollutant release,and changes in sediment microorganisms.This study illustrates the effects of oxidant addition on the characteristics of heavily polluted sediments and shows that chemical oxidants may be an option to achieve rapid control of black and odorous substances prior to remediation of water environments.Kun Li Min Yang Jianfeng Peng Ruiping Liu Tista Prasai Joshi Yaohui Bai Huijuan Liu 2019Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2019,13,6:3

14Impacts of Land-Use Data on the Simulation of Surface Air Temperature in Northwest China显示文摘This study examines the impacts of land-use data on the simulation of surface air temperature in Northwest China by the Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model. International Geosphere–Biosphere Program(IGBP) landuse data with 500-m spatial resolution are generated from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)satellite products. These data are used to replace the default U.S. Geological Survey(USGS) land-use data in the WRF model. Based on the data recorded by national basic meteorological observing stations in Northwest China, results are compared and evaluated. It is found that replacing the default USGS land-use data in the WRF model with the IGBP data improves the ability of the model to simulate surface air temperature in Northwest China in July and December 2015. Errors in the simulated daytime surface air temperature are reduced, while the results vary between seasons. There is some variation in the degree and range of impacts of land-use data on surface air temperature among seasons. Using the IGBP data, the simulated daytime surface air temperature in July 2015 improves at a relatively small number of stations, but to a relatively large degree; whereas the simulation of daytime surface air temperature in December 2015 improves at almost all stations, but only to a relatively small degree(within 1°C). Mitigation of daytime surface air temperature overestimation in July 2015 is influenced mainly by the change in ground heat flux. 15Novel SFTSV Phylogeny Reveals New Reassortment Events and Migration Routes显示文摘Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus(SFTSV),the causative agent of a febrile human disease,was first identified from central and eastern provinces in China,and later in Japan and South Korea.Hubei Province is one of the major SFTS epidemic areas in the central part of China.This study reported the isolation of 11 new SFTSV strains from patients in Hubei Province collected in 2017.Extensive phylogenetic analyses were conducted based on the complete coding sequences of SFTSV segments including the new strains.It was suggested that five different SFTSV genotypes were circulating in Hubei,and 15 reassortment patterns and migration pathways correlated with each genotype were identified,which was more than previously recognized.Hubei Province was more involved in the evolutionary events of SFTSV than that previously thought in which the evolutionary events of SFTSV were reported to be independent from those in other epidemic regions.Further divergence of SFTSV strains was suggested by pairwise comparison of SFTSV sequences from each genotype and sequence identity normalized to representative strain in genotype C1.Subsequently,amino acid variations specific for genotype(s),strain(s),or cluster(s)were inspected,which may be related to differential biological activity of SFTSV strains/genotypes.In conclusion,we analyzed the current status of SFTSV phylogeny in Hubei Province and discussed the possible events correlated to SFTSV evolution.It provided an in-depth insight into SFTSV evolution,raising concerns for the use of proper SFTSV strains in future studies.Xiaoli Wu Mingyue Li Yanfang Zhang Boyun Liang Junming Shi Yaohui Fang Zhengyuan Su Mengmeng Li Wenjing Zhang Ling Xu Jun Wang Qiaoli Wu Shuang Tang Hualin Wang Tao Zhang Cheng Peng Xin Zheng Fei Deng Shu Shen 2021Virologica Sinica2021,36,2:2
16Evaluation of the Forecast Accuracy of Near-Surface Temperature and Wind in Northwest China Based on the WRF Model显示文摘This study investigated the performance of the mesoscale Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) model in predicting near-surface atmospheric temperature and wind for a complex underlying surface in Northwest China in June and December 2015. The spatial distribution of the monthly average bias errors in the forecasts of 2-m temperature and 10-m wind speed is analyzed first. It is found that the forecast errors for 2-m temperature and 10-m wind speed in June are strongly correlated with the terrain distribution. However, this type of correlation is not apparent in December, perhaps due to the inaccurate specification of the surface albedo and freezing-thawing process of frozen soil in winter in Northwest China in the WRF model. In addition, the WRF model is able to reproduce the diurnal variation in 2-m temperature and 10-m wind speed, although with weakened magnitude. Elevations and land-use types have strong influences on the forecast of near-surface variables with seasonal variations.
