| 1 | Single-cell transcriptomic analysis defines the interplay between tumor cells,viral infection,and the microenvironment in nasopharyngeal carcinoma显示文摘Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is an Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)-associated malignancy with a complex tumor ecosystem.How the interplay between tumor cells,EBV,and the microenvironment contributes to NPC progression and immune evasion remains unclear.Here we performed single-cell RNA sequencing on^104,000 cells from 19 EBV^+NPCs and 7 nonmalignant nasopharyngeal biopsies,simultaneously profiling the transcriptomes of malignant cells,EBV,stromal and immune cells.Overall,we identified global upregulation of interferon responses in the multicellular ecosystem of NPC.Notably,an epithelial–immune dual feature of malignant cells was discovered and associated with poor prognosis.Functional experiments revealed that tumor cells with this dual feature exhibited a higher capacity for tumorigenesis.Further characterization of the cellular components of the tumor microenvironment(TME)and their interactions with tumor cells revealed that the dual feature of tumor cells was positively correlated with the expression of co-inhibitory receptors on CD8^+tumor-infiltrating T cells.In addition,tumor cells with the dual feature were found to repress IFN-γproduction by T cells,demonstrating their capacity for immune suppression.Our results provide new insights into the multicellular ecosystem of NPC and offer important clinical implications. | Shanzhao Jin Ruoyan Li Ming-Yuan Chen Chao Yu Lin-Quan Tang Yan-Min Liu Jiang-Ping Li Yi-Na Liu Yi-Ling Luo Yifan Zhao Yu Zhang Tian-Liang Xia Shang-Xin Liu Qi Liu Guan-Nan Wang Rui You Jing-Yun Peng Jiang Li Feng Han Jianwei Wang Qiu-Yan Chen Li Zhang Hai-Qiang Mai Benjamin E.Gewurz Bo Zhao Lawrence S.Young Qian Zhong Fan Bai Mu-Sheng Zeng | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,11: | 16 |

| 3 | A Survey: Typical Security Issues of Software-Defined Networking显示文摘Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has been a hot topic for future network development, which implements the different layers of control plane and data plane respectively. Despite providing high openness and programmability, the “three-layer two-interface” architecture of SDN changes the traditional network and increases the network attack nodes, which results in new security issues. In this paper, we firstly introduced the background, architecture and working process of SDN. Secondly, we summarized and analyzed the typical security issues from north to south: application layer, northbound interface, control layer, southbound interface and data layer. Another contribution is to review and analyze the existing solutions and latest research progress of each layer, mainly including: authorized authentication module, application isolation, DoS/DDoS defense, multi-controller deployment and flow rule consistency detection. | 6 | Effect of miniscalpel-needle on relieving the pain of myofascial pain syndrome: a systematic review显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effect and safety of miniscalpel-needle(MSN) on reducing the pain of myofascial pain syndrome(MPS).METHODS: We reviewed the available literatures inception up to February 2014 using Pubmed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure Database, Chinese Biomedical Database and Wanfang Database.RESULTS: Eight randomized controlled trials were finally identified. The main controls involved acupuncture, medications, injection, massage and cupping. We found that all of the studies agreed on the potential benefit of MSN as a strategy for MPS and the superiority compared to the controls, however,randomized methods applied in most of the trials could be criticized for their high or unclear risk of bias. Further research is also needed to clarify questions around the appropriate frequency and number of treatment sessions of MSN.CONCLUSION: This review shows that MSN might have the effect on MPS, even though there were some limitations in the studies included in the review. | 7 | Atomic Fe-Zn dual-metal sites for high-efficiency pH-universal oxygen reduction catalysis显示文摘An effective electrocatalyst being highly active in all pH range for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is crucial for energy conversion and storage devices.However,most of the high-efficiency ORR catalysis was reported in alkaline conditions.Herein,we demonstrated the preparation of atomically dispersed Fe-Zn pairs anchored on porous N-doped carbon frameworks(Fe-Zn-SA/NC),which works efficiently as ORR catalyst in the whole pH range.It achieves high half-wave potentials of 0.78,0.85 and 0.72 V in 0.1 M HClO4,0.1 M KOH and 0.1 M phosphate buffer saline(PBS)solutions,respectively,as well as respectable stability.The performances are even comparable to Pt/C.Furthermore,when assembled into a Zn-air battery,the high power density of 167.2 mWcm−2 and 120 h durability reveal the feasibility of Fe-Zn-SA/NC in real energy-related devices.Theoretical calculations demonstrate that the superior catalytic activity of Fe-Zn-SA/NC can be contributed to the lower energy barriers of ORR at the Fe-Zn-N6 centers.This work demonstrates the potential of Fe-Zn pairs as alternatives to the Pt catalysts for efficient catalytic ORR and provides new insights of dual-atom catalysts for other energy conversion related catalytic reactions. | Jie Xu Shuhua Lai Defeng Qi Min Hu Xianyun Peng Yifan Liu Wei Liu Guangzhi Hu Heng Xu Fan Li Chao Li Jia He Longchao Zhuo Jiaqiang Sun Yuan Qiu Shusheng Zhang Jun Luo Xijun Liu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,5: | 6 |

| 10 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. However, its practical applications are still hindered by the weak brightness and limited color while under large forces. Herein, we developed novel piezoluminescent devices(PLDs) which could effectively emit visible light under low pressing forces through the stress-concentration and enhancing deformation on the basis of carefully-designed array structures. The emitting colors were also tunable by using bilayer luminescent film under different pressures. | 12 | Liquid Metal-Based Epidermal Flexible Sensor for Wireless Breath Monitoring and Diagnosis Enabled by Highly Sensitive SnS2 Nanosheets显示文摘Real-time wireless respiratory monitoring and biomarker analysis provide an attractive vision for noninvasive telemedicine such as the timely prevention of respiratory arrest or for early diagnoses of chronic diseases.Lightweight,wearable respiratory sensors are in high demand as they meet the requirement of portability in digital healthcare management.Meanwhile,high-performance sensing material plays a crucial role for the precise sensing of specific markers in exhaled air,which represents a complex and rather humid environment.Here,we present a liquid metal-based flexible electrode coupled with SnS_(2)nanomaterials as a wearable gas-sensing device,with added Bluetooth capabilities for remote respiratory monitoring and diagnoses.The flexible epidermal device exhibits superior skin compatibility and high responsiveness(1092%/ppm),ultralow detection limits(1.32 ppb),and a good selectivity of NO gas at ppb-level concentrations.Taking advantage of the fast recovery kinetics of SnS_(2)responding to H_(2)O molecules,it is possible to accurately distinguish between different respiratory patterns based on the amount of water vapor in the exhaled air.Furthermore,based on the different redox types of H_(2)O and NO molecules,the electric signal is reversed once the exhaled NO concentration exceeds a certain threshold that may indicate the onset of conditions like asthma,thus providing an early warning system for potential lung diseases.Finally,by integrating the wearable device into a wireless cloud-based multichannel interface,we provide a proof-of-concept that our device could be used for the simultaneous remote monitoring of several patients with respiratory diseases,a crucial field in future digital healthcare management. | Yifan Huang Fan Yang Sanhu Liu Rongguo Wang Jinhong Guo Xing Ma | 2021 | Research2021,,1: | 4 |

Herein, we have demonstrated a facile synthesis of highly efficient catalyst for oxygen reduction reaction in both alkaline and acidic medium, which is derived from ZIF-8 functionalized with ammonium ferric citrate via two-step pyrolysis in Ar and NH_3 atmosphere.The results reveal that the catalytic activity improvement after NH3 pyrolysis benefits from mesoporedominated morphology and high utilization of Fe-containing active sites. | 14 | Reconstruction clipping of ruptured anterior circulation aneurysms via supraorbital lateral keyhole approach显示文摘Background:Intracranial aneurysm(IA)is a serious disease.Analyze and review the cases of anterior circulation ruptured IA by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach,and summarize the experiences of this approach.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 16 cases of ruptured anterior circulation IA in our department from January 2019 to June 2020,CT angiography(CTA)was performed before operation.Analyzing the IA’s parameters by 3D-CT reconstruction.The IA was clipped by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with the 3D-skull reconstruction.Extraventricular drainage was performed before craniotomy.Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring was performed during the operation.After operation,fluorescein angiography and vascular ultrasound were performed to check the clipping effect.Intracranial pressure monitor was performed postoperatively.CTA was reexamined one week after operation.The modified Rankin Scale(MRS)was performed 6 months after operation.Results:There were 7 males(43.8%)and 9 females(56.2%),and the average age is 52.31±11.12 years old.Among them,11 patients(68.8%)were anterior communicating artery aneurysms and 5(31.2%)were middle cerebral artery aneurysms.All patients were out of hospital within 10 days without any death,without cerebral infarction,cerebrospinal fluid leakage and neurological impairments.About mRS score,after 6 months follow-up,8 cases(50%)had 0 point,4 cases(25%)had 1 point,and 4 cases(25%)had 2 points.Conclusions:For ruptured anterior circulation IA,the supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with ventricular drainage,intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring,and intraoperative vascular ultrasound is a safe and minimally invasive treatment.The application of reconstruction clipping can reconstruct the diameter of parent vessel and reduce the recurrence rate of IA. | Yuzhang Wu Yan Zhao Shengping Yu Fan Li Shifei Cai Chao Peng Zhen Wang Yifan Yang Bangyue Wang Xinyu Yang | 2022 | Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2022,8,2: | 2 |
| 15 | Visual quality of juvenile myopes wearing multifocal soft contact lenses显示文摘Background:It is unclear whether multifocal soft contact lenses(MFSCLs)affect visual quality when they are used for myopia control in juvenile myopes.The aim of this study was,therefore,to investigate the effect of MFSCLs on visual quality among juvenile myopia subjects.Methods:In a prospective,intervention study,thirty-three juvenile myopes were enrolled.Visual perception was assessed by a quality of vision(QoV)questionnaire with spectacles at baseline and after 1 month of MFSCL wear.At the one-month visit,the high(96%)contrast distance visual acuity(distance HCVA)and low(10%)contrast distance visual acuity(distance LCVA)were measured with single vision spectacle lenses,single vision soft contact lenses(SVSCLs)and MFSCLs in a random order.Wavefront aberrations were measured with SVSCLs,with MFSCLs,and without any correction.Results:Neither distance HCVA(p>0.05)nor distance LCVA(p>0.05)revealed any significant difference between MFSCLs,SVSCLs and single vision spectacle lenses.The overall score(the sum of ten symptoms)of the QoV questionnaire did not show a statistically significant difference between spectacles at baseline and after 1 month of MFSCL wear(p=0.357).The results showed that the frequency(p<0.001),severity(p=0.001)and bothersome degree(p=0.016)of halos were significantly worse when wearing MFSCLs than when wearing single vision spectacle lenses.In contrast,the bothersome degree caused by focusing difficulty(p=0.046)and the frequency of difficulty in judging distance or depth perception(p=0.046)were better when wearing MFSCLs than when wearing single vision spectacle lenses.Compared with the naked eye,MFSCLs increased the total aberrations(p<0.001),higher-order aberrations(p<0.001),trefoil(p=0.023),coma aberrations(p<0.001)and spherical aberrations(SA)(p<0.001).Compared with the SVSCLs,MFSCLs increased the total aberrations(p<0.001),higher-order aberrations(p<0.001),coma aberrations(p<0.001)and SA(p<0.001).The direction of SA was more positive(p<0.001)with the MFSCLs and more negative(p=0.001)with the SVSCLs compared with the naked eye.Conclusions:Wearing MFSCLs can provide satisfactory corrected visual acuity(both distance HCVA and distance LCVA).Although the lenses increased the aberrations,such as total aberrations and higher-order aberrations,there were few adverse effects on the distance HCVA,distance LCVA and visual perception after 1 month of MFSCL use. | Xiaopeng Huang Feifu Wang Zhiyi Lin Yifan He Shuyun Wen Ling Zhou Fan Lu Jun Jiang | 2020 | Eye and Vision2020,7,1: | 2 |
| 16 | A chromosome-level genome assembly of rugged rose (Rosa rugosa) provides insights into its evolution, ecology, and floral characteristics显示文摘Rosa rugosa,commonly known as rugged rose,is a perennial ornamental shrub.It produces beautiful flowers with a mild fragrance and colorful seed pods.Unlike many other cultivated roses,R.rugosa adapts to a wide range of habitat types and harsh environmental conditions such as salinity,alkaline,shade,drought,high humidity,and frigid temperatures.Here,we produced and analyzed a high-quality genome sequence for R.rugosa to understand its ecology,floral characteristics and evolution.PacBio HiFi reads were initially used to construct the draft genome of R.rugosa,and then Hi-C sequencing was applied to assemble the contigs into 7 chromosomes.We obtained a 382.6Mb genome encoding 39,704 protein-coding genes.The genome of R.rugosa appears to be conserved with no additional whole-genome duplication after the gamma whole-genome triplication(WGT),which occurred~100 million years ago in the ancestor of core eudicots.Based on a comparative analysis of the high-quality genome assembly of R.rugosa and other high-quality Rosaceae genomes,we found a unique large inverted segment in the Chinese rose R.chinensis and a retroposition in strawberry caused by post-WGT events.We also found that floral development-and stress response signaling-related gene modules were retained after the WGT.Two MADS-box genes involved in floral development and the stress-related transcription factors DREB2A-INTERACTING PROTEIN 2(DRIP2)and PEPTIDE TRANSPORTER 3(PTR3)were found to be positively selected in evolution,which may have contributed to the unique ability of this plant to adapt to harsh environments.In summary,the high-quality genome sequence of R.rugosa provides a map for genetic studies and molecular breeding of this plant and enables comparative genomic studies of Rosa in the near future. | Fei Chen Liyao Su Shuaiya Hu Jia-Yu Xue Hui Liu Guanhua Liu Yifan Jiang Jianke Du Yushan Qiao Yannan Fan Huan Liu Qi Yang Wenjie Lu Zhu-Qing Shao Jian Zhang Liangsheng Zhang Feng Chen Zong-Ming(Max)Cheng | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

| 18 | Buoyancy and turbulence-driven atmospheric circulation over urban areas显示文摘In the buoyancy and turbulence-driven atmospheric circulations(BTDAC) that occur over urban areas where the approach means wind speeds are very low(less than turbulent fluctuations and typically < 3 m/sec), the surface temperatures are significantly higher than those in the external rural areas, and the atmosphere above the mixing layer is stably stratified. In this paper, the mechanisms of BTDAC formation are studied through laboratory experiments and modelling, with additional low-level inflow from external rural areas and a divergent outflow in the opposite direction in the upper part of the mixed layer. Strong turbulent plumes in the central region mix the flow between lower and higher levels up to the inversion height. There are shear-driven turbulent eddies and weaker buoyant plumes around the periphery of the urban area. As the approach flow is very weak,the recirculating streamlines within the dome restrict the ventilation, and the dispersion of pollution emitted from sources below the inversion height leading to a rise in the mean concentration. Low-level air entrained from rural areas can, however, improve ventilation and lower this concentration. | 20 | Age-dependent loss of cholinergic neurons in learning and memory-related brain regions and impaired learning in SAMP8 mice with trigeminal nerve damage显示文摘The tooth belongs to the trigeminal sensory pathway.Dental damage has been associated with impairments in the central nervous system that may be mediated by injury to the trigeminal nerve.In the present study,we investigated the effects of damage to the inferior alveolar nerve,an important peripheral nerve in the trigeminal sensory pathway,on learning and memory behaviors and structural changes in related brain regions,in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease.Inferior alveolar nerve transection or sham surgery was performed in middle-aged(4-monthold) or elderly(7-month-old) senescence-accelerated mouse prone 8(SAMP8) mice.When the middle-aged mice reached 8 months(middle-aged group 1) or 11 months(middle-aged group 2),and the elderly group reached 11 months,step-down passive avoidance and Y-maze tests of learning and memory were performed,and the cholinergic system was examined in the hippocampus(Nissl staining and acetylcholinesterase histochemistry) and basal forebrain(choline acetyltransferase immunohistochemistry).In the elderly group,animals that underwent nerve transection had fewer pyramidal neurons in the hippocampal CA1 and CA3 regions,fewer cholinergic fibers in the CA1 and dentate gyrus,and fewer cholinergic neurons in the medial septal nucleus and vertical limb of the diagonal band,compared with sham-operated animals,as well as showing impairments in learning and memory.Conversely,no significant differences in histology or behavior were observed between middle-aged group 1 or group 2 transected mice and age-matched sham-operated mice.The present findings suggest that trigeminal nerve damage in old age,but not middle age,can induce degeneration of the septal-hippocampal cholinergic system and loss of hippocampal pyramidal neurons,and ultimately impair learning ability.Our results highlight the importance of active treatment of trigeminal nerve damage in elderly patients and those with Alzheimer's disease,and indicate that tooth extraction should be avoided in these populations. | Yifan He Jihong Zhu Fang Huang Liu Qin Wenguo Fan Hongwen He | 2014 | Neural Regeneration Research2014,9,22: | 2 |
