2Genetic variation of Laminaria japonica (Phaeophyta) populations in China as revealed by RAPD markers显示文摘For the population genetics analysis of the naturally grown brown seaweed Laminaria japonica (Laminariales,Phaeophyta) sampled from Dalian,Yantai,Weihai,Rongcheng and Qingdao in China,ten primers were employed to produce 88 bands as revealed by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers,and all these bands were polymorphic.According to these band patterns,there were 94 distinct phenotypes occurred in 100 samples indicating the high heterozygosity of this kelp.Dalian population samples showed the highest percentage of polymorphism (71.67%),and also the higher diversity estimated on the basis of the Shannon’s index (8.498),suggesting that this population could be chosen as the best resource for genetic breeding.The highest diversity of Yantai population possibly resulted from the introduction of L.longissima used for interspecific cross breeding with L.japonica cultivated in China.From Dalian southwards to Qingdao,the genetic variation of the five populations became less with a decrease in latitude,possibly due to the natural selection especially of high temperature.The genetic distance (Φ ST values) of the five populations was a little significantly correlated with the geographical distance (r=0.496) at P =0.05 by Mantel’s test.Weihai,Rongcheng and Yantai populations were closely grouped genetically together by Neighbor-joining cluster analysis probably in that the dispersal of the kelp by propagules more easily occurring in the range of relatively short distance.The analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) also demonstrated that the relatively higher variation occurred among populations (71.49%) at an extremely significant level (P <0.000 1).All these evidence showed that there was a relatively distinct genetic differentiation among the sampled kelp populations,and L.japonica grown in China was also rather heterozygous in heredity.BI Yanhui HU Yuanjie ZHOU Zhigang 2011Acta Oceanologica Sinica2011,30,2:7
3Co-pyrolysis characteristics of typical components of waste plastics in a falling film pyrolysis reactor显示文摘Waste plastics mainly come from MSW and usually exist in the form of mixed plastics. During the co-pyrolysis process of mixed plastics, various plastic components have different physicochemical properties and reaction mechanisms. Considering the high viscosity and low thermal conductivity of molten plastics, a falling film pyrolysis reactor was selected to explore the rapid co-pyrolysis process of typical plastic components(PP, PE and PS).The oil and gas yields and the compositions of pyrolysis products of the three components under different ratios at pyrolysis temperatures were analyzed to explore the co-pyrolysis characteristics of PP, PE, and PS. 5Combining mannose receptor mediated nanovaccines and gene regulated PD-L1 blockade for boosting cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Tumor nanovaccines have potential applications in the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors.However,it remains a longstanding challenge in exploiting efficient nanocarriers for inducing potent specifically cellular immune responses.Toward this objective,we herein explore an intensive tumor immunotherapeutic strategy by combining mannosylated nanovaccines and gene regulated PD-L1 blockade for immune stimulation and killing activity.Here,we fabricate a mannose modified PLL-RT(Man-PLL-RT)mediated nanovaccines with dendritic cells(DCs)targeting capacity.Man-PLL-RT is capable of co-encapsulating with antigen(ovalbumin,OVA)and adjuvant(unmethylated cytosine-phosphate-guanine,CpG)by electrostatic interaction.This positively charged Man-PLL-RT/OVA/CpG nanovaccines can facilitate the endocytosis,maturation and cross presentation in DCs.However,the nanovaccines arouse limited inhibition of tumor growth,which is mainly due to the immunosuppressed microenvironment of tumors.Combining tumor nanovaccines with gene regulated PD-L1 blockade leads to an obvious tumor remission in B16F10 melanoma bearing mice.The collaborative strategy provides essential insights to boost the benefits of tumor vaccines by regulating the checkpoint blockade with gene therapy.Jie Chen Huapan Fang Yingying Hu Jiayan Wu Sijia Zhang Yuanji Feng Lin Lin Huayu Tian Xuesi Chen 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:2
6Models for economic evaluation of multi-purpose apple harvest platform and software development显示文摘An increasing number of U.S.apple growers are now interested in using harvest platforms to increase harvest productivity,expand labor pool,and alleviate tough working conditions.To maximize benefits,functions of thinning,pruning&training,and infield sorting have been or are to be incorporated into harvest platforms.Though growers are most concerned with economic benefits,few cost-benefit studies had been conducted on different platforms.In the meantime,economic analysis procedure is complex and each analysis is for one specific machine(not for general purposes).No software has been developed as a general and ready-to-use tool for growers and researchers for the platform economic analysis.In this study,platforms,both available on the marketplace and developed in lab as pilot trials,were reviewed.Costs and benefits models were then established,based on which multi-purpose apple harvest platform economic evaluation software(iMPAHP)was developed(capable of evaluating a wide variety of apple harvest platforms).A case study(machine cost of$100000,accommodating 6 workers,processing apple incidence of 10%with 90%sort-out rate,and harvest,thinning,and pruning&training productivity increase by 40%,50%,and 60%,respectively)based on iMPAHP demonstrated that infield sorting,harvest,thinning,and pruning and training accounted for 48.4%,23.9%,14.3%,and 13.4%of the total benefits,respectively.In the case that the platform was in all-four-purpose-application,the net present value(NPV)analysis of a 10-year investment showed a positive return of$60547.However,without infield sorting function,the NPV resulted in a negative value,indicating a loss for the machine investment.Though incorporating the modular infield sorting system certainly increased the overall machine investment by$30000,the benefits outweighed the costs.Zhao Zhang Zhaohua Zhang Xinmiao Wang Hu Liu Yuanjie Wang Weijie Wang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,1:1

11In situ SR-CT Experimental Study on the Directional Sintering of High-Temperature Superconductor YBCO Materials in the Microwave Fields显示文摘YBa_(2)Cu_(3)O_(7-x)(YBCO)is a kind of high-temperature superconducting material that has important application in information,energy,medical treatment,etc.,and the superconducting properties of YBCO are closely related to its internal microstructure.In this study,the microwave heating method was adopted to prepare the YBCO materials.The internal 3 D online evolution observation based on the synchrotron radiation computed tomography technology shows that there was directional grain growth phenomenon of YBCO during microwave sintering process.In local regions with special microstructure,these particles grew to the same point.Here,the theoretical models of single and multiple particles in the microwave electromagnetic fields were established.Based on these theoretical models and finite element analysis,it shows that the YBCO particles can modulate the distribution of electromagnetic fields,resulting in the significantly higher electric field intensity at the particle junctions than other regions.Moreover,there were very high electric field intensity and temperature gradients in the directions of particle growth.These factors were crucial in directional sintering.These results will provide theoretical basis and technical guidance for the controllable preparation and performance optimization of the internal microstructure of superconducting materials in the preparation process.Liangyuan Wang Lei Shen Yongcun Li Yuanjie Wang Yu Xiao Xingyi Zhang Feng Xu Xiaofang Hu 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,1:0
12Proximity-enabled covalent binding of IL-2 to IL-2Rα selectively activates regulatory T cells and suppresses autoimmunity显示文摘Interleukin-2(IL-2)is a pleiotropic cytokine that orchestrates bidirectional immune responses via regulatory T cells(Tregs)and effector cells,leading to paradoxical consequences.Here,we report a strategy that exploited genetic code expansion-guided incorporation of the latent bioreactive artificial amino acid fluorosulfate-L-tyrosine(FSY)into IL-2 for proximity-enabled covalent binding to IL-2Rαto selectively promote Treg activation.We found that FSY-bearing IL-2 variants,such as L72-FSY,covalently bound to IL-2Rαvia sulfur-fluoride exchange when in proximity,resulting in persistent recycling of IL-2 and selectively promoting the expansion of Tregs but not effector cells.Further assessment of L72-FSY-expanded Tregs demonstrated that L72-FSY maintained Tregs in a central memory phenotype without driving terminal differentiation,as demonstrated by simultaneously attenuated expression of lymphocyte activation gene-3(LAG-3)and enhanced expression of programmed cell death protein-1(PD-1).Subcutaneous administration of L72-FSY in murine models of pristane-induced lupus and graft-versus-host disease(GvHD)resulted in enhanced and sustained therapeutic efficacy compared with wild-type IL-2 treatment.The efficacy of L72-FSY was further improved by N-terminal PEGylation,which increased its circulatory retention for preferential and sustained effects.This proximity-enabled covalent binding strategy may accelerate the development of pleiotropic cytokines as a new class of immunomodulatory therapies.Bo Zhang Jiaqi Sun Yeshuang Yuan Dezhong Ji Yeting Sun Yudong Liu Shengjie Li Xingxing Zhu Xunyao Wu Jin Hu Qiu Xie Ling Wu Lulu Liu Boyang Cheng Yuanjie Zhang Lingjuan Jiang Lidan Zhao Fei Yu Wei Song Min Wang Yue Xu Shiliang Ma Yunyun Fei Lihe Zhang Demin Zhou Xuan Zhang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0

142-22 Elastic Scattering Studies of Light Proton-rich显示文摘The elastic scattering is an important probe to study the properties of a nucleus. An accurate measurement ofthe elastic scattering differential cross section is very important to determine the optical potential parameters andthe so-called one quarter angle (q1=4). Also, the optical potential parameters of stable nuclei and unstable nucleiare found to be different. 8B, the binding energy of the last proton is only 0.137 MeV, is a well-known protonhalonucleus even there are still some arguments. Many investigations have been done for 8B by measuring thetotal reaction cross sections, breakup cross section and inelastic scattering differential cross section. However, theexperimental data of elastic scattering of 8B and other light proton-rich nuclei on heavy target are few. 16Electrochemical Corrosion Behavior and Mechanical Response of Selective Laser Melted Porous Metallic Biomaterials显示文摘The porous metallic biomaterials have attracted significant attention for implants because their lower young's modulus matches the human bones, which can eliminate the stress shielding effect and facilitate the growth of bone tissue cells. The porous metallic biomaterials fabricated by selective laser melting (SLM) have broad prospects, but the surface of the SLM-built porous structure has been severely adhered with unmelted powders, which affects the forming accuracy and surface quality. The porous metallic biomaterials face the corrosion problem of complex body fluid environments during service, so their corrosion resistance in the human body is extremely important. The surface quality will affect the corrosion resistance of the porous metallic biomaterials. Therefore, it is necessary to study the effect of post-treatment on the corrosion resistance of SLMed samples. In this work, the mechanical response and the electrochemical corrosion behavior in simulated body fluid of diamond and pentamode metamaterials Ti-6Al-4V alloy fabricated by SLM before and after sandblasting were studied.
