| 1 | Species and genetic diversity affect leaf litter decomposition in subtropical broadleaved forest in southern China显示文摘Aims Litter decomposition is a fundamental process within ecosystem functioning,and it is largely dependent on the biodiversity of ecosystems.We explored the effects of species diversity and genetic diversity of litter on the litter decomposition rate.Methods We used laboratory microcosms to determine whether species diversity and genetic diversity and their interaction affect leaf litter decomposition.We set up 8 treatments containing 1,2,4 diversity levels of four broad-leaf species(Alniphyllum fortunei,Idesia polycarpa,Cinnamomum camphora and Daphniphyllum oldhamii)both in species and genetic sense.Totally 246 microcosms containing same amount of soil and litter of prescribed diversity treatment were stored in the dark at 25℃for 12 weeks.Important Findings The effect of litter species diversity on litter decomposition was largely dependent on species composition of the litter mixture in terms of species identity.Overall,the decomposition rate increased linearly with the richness of seed family when the species identity was disregarded.However,no interactive effect of species diversity and genetic diversity on mass loss was detected.The litter decomposition rate was found to be unrelated to the initial carbon(C),whereas it was negatively correlated with the initial total nitrogen(N)and N:P ratio.However,the regression curves of the litter decomposition rate against the total P and C:N ratio displayed quadratic parabolas opening upward and downward,respectively.This study demonstrated how species and/or genetic diversity and the stoichiometry of litter per se affect litter decomposition.Further studies should be performed in the long term to ascertain how such effects operate and how they change during the decomposition process,particularly in response to varying composition and diversity of standing plants in the environments. | Shanshan Li Yuewei Tong Zhengwen Wang | 2017 | Journal of Plant Ecology2017,10,1: | 13 |

| 3 | Survey of reefs based on Landsat 8 operational land imager(OLI)images in the Nansha Islands, South China Sea显示文摘A detailed survey of the reefs in the Nansha Islands' sea that are of strategic importance is conducive to their future development. In this study, a total of 50 Landsat 8 operational land imager(OLI) images were used to analyze the geological features and spectral characteristics of the Nansha reefs. The exposed islands/sandbanks,reef flats and sub-tidal reefs were identified with the near-infrared band, the red and green bands, and the blue band, respectively. Based on the relationships among various characteristics and bands illustrated in the OLI images, the maximum between-cluster variance threshold algorithm(OTSU method) and the mathematical morphology were employed to extract characteristic parameters of the spatial geometry of the reefs from top to bottom, which were subsequently operated by a series of post-processing methods such as vectorization,simplification and topological analysis. Among the 132 standalone reefs and 16 atolls that are identified in the study, four reefs have yet to be named in the Standard Names of Various Islands in the South China Sea and the website Nansha Islands Online(http://gffzzd4db47f6efa542b8h9o0b5kbkx9fp6nwk.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). Another 24 ones are exposed to the atmosphere even during high tides. Taiping Island with an area of 0.57 km^2 represents the largest exposed geological feature. | 4 | Mapping epistasis and environment × QTX interaction based on four-omics genotypes for the detected QTX loci controlling complex traits in tobacco显示文摘Using newly developed methods and software, association mapping was conducted for chromium content and total sugar in tobacco leaf, based on four-omics datasets. Our objective was to collect data on genotype and phenotype for 60 leaf samples at four developmental stages, from three plant architectural positions and for three cultivars that were grown in two locations. Association mapping was conducted to detect genetic variants at quantitative trait SNP(QTS) loci, quantitative trait transcript(QTT) differences,quantitative trait protein(QTP) variability, and quantitative trait metabolite(QTM) changes,which can be summarized as QTX locus variation. The total heritabilities of the four-omics loci for both traits tested were 23.60% for epistasis and 15.26% for treatment interaction.Epistasis and environment × treatment interaction had important impacts on complex traits at all-omics levels. | 5 | Neutron halo state of ^(13)C显示文摘Angular distributions for the 12C(d, p)13C transfer reactions have been measured at Ed = 11.8 MeV, and compared with those of the DWBA calculations. By means of this comparison, density distributions of the last neutron in the ground state and the first 1/2+ state of 13C are extracted. The properties of these states in 13C have also been studied in the framework of the nonlinear relativistic mean-field theory with NL-SH parameters. | 6 | Cembrane-type diterpenoids from the South China Sea soft coral Sarcophyton mililatensis显示文摘Eight cembrane-type diterpenoids, namely,(t)-(6 R)-6-hydroxyisosarcophytoxide(1),(t)-(6 R)-6-acetoxyisosarcophytoxide(2),(t)-17-hydroxyisosarcophytoxide(3), sarcomililatins A–D(4–7), and sarcomililatol(8), were isolated from the soft coral Sarcophyton mililatensis collected from Weizhou Island, Guangxi Autonomous Region, together with 2 known related analogues,(t)-isosarcophytoxide(9) and(t)-isosarcophine(10). The structures of these compounds were elucidated by a combination of detailed spectroscopic analyses, chemical methods, and comparison with reported data.The absolute configuration of compound 1 was established by the modified Mosher's method, while the absolute configurations of compounds 4 and 5 were assigned by electronic circular dichroism(ECD)spectroscopy and that of compound 8 was established by time-dependent density functional theory electronic circular dichroism(TD-DFT ECD) calculation. In in vitro bioassays, compound 9 displayed significant cytotoxicity against the human cancer cell lines human promyelocytic leukemia cells(HL-60)and human lung adenocarcinoma cells(A-549) with IC_(50) values of 0.7870.21 and 1.2670.80 μmol/L,respectively. | 14 | Occurrence and risk assessment of triclosan in freshwater lakes in the middle Yangtze River basin (Wuhan, Central China)显示文摘Triclosan(TCS)is an endocrine disrupting chemical which is commonly used as a disinfectant in pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCP's).Since early 2020,the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19 has increased the use of PPCP's,so the occurrence and impact of TCS on freshwater lakes should be considered.However,little attention has been given to the effect of TCS on freshwater lakes in China.This study is the first attempt at a risk assessment focusing on the temporal and spatial occurrence of TCS in freshwater lakes in the middle Yangtze River basin.The surface water and sediments of Donghu Lake and Liangzi Lake(Wuhan,Central China)were collected from October 2020 to August 2021.The maximum concentrations of TCS were 466 ng/L and 239 ng/L in surface water,71 ng/g and 25 ng/g(dry weight)in sediments of Donghu Lake and Liangzi Lake,respectively.Significant temporal and spatial differences of TCS were observed within and between the lakes,with the highest concentrations measured in winter.Furthermore,higher concentrations of TCS were observed in areas that are more impacted by human activities.There was a significant positive correlation between TCS and nitrogen in the surface water.A risk assessment using the risk quotient(RQ)method showed that a potentially high risk(RQ>1)was found only in surface waters from Donghu Lake,and that the sediments posed a lower risk than the surface waters.These results provide timely data on the temporal and spatial occurrence of TCS in freshwater lakes in China following the outbreak of COVID-19 and demonstrate a possible high risk of exposure to TCS for aquatic biota. | Yuewei Wang Deshou Cun Zihan Zhang Dongwei Pu Xiaohui Li Wei Liang Tao Fang | 2022 | Water Biology and Security2022,1,4: | 1 |

| 20 | Simulation of nonlinear vibration responses of cab system subject to suspension damper complete failure for trucks显示文摘The strong vibration responses of the cab system can be restrained by the damper force and the friction of the suspensions for trucks.After the failures of dampers,especially in the case of the complete failure,the anti vibration effect of the friction is prominent.However,the nonlinear vibration response characteristics of the cab subject to the damper complete failure have not been revealed.In order to reveal the nonlinear vibration response characteristics,a dynamic model of the cab system was established and its vibration equations were given.The friction forces existing in the suspensions were determined by the bench test.The influences of the friction forces on the cab vibration under different amplitude harmonic inputs were investigated when the dampers completely fail.The cab vertical displacement changes with the excitation amplitude and the vibration represents various motion states,including the periodic motion,the quasi-periodic motion,and the chaotic motion.The simulation results show that when the dampers fail,the proper friction forces help to suppress the quasi-periodic motion and the chaotic motion of the cab and to reduce the amplitude of the periodic motion.The proper friction forces can make the cab movement far away from the chaos area.They also help to avoid the fatigue damage of the cab floor and suspension parts to improve the service life of the suspension parts and to reduce the maintenance cost of the cab suspensions. | Leilei Zhao Jian Guo Yuewei Yu Xiaohan Li Changcheng Zhou | 2020 | International Journal of Modeling, Simulation, and Scientific Computing2020,11,2: | 0 |
