1Surface ozone monitoring and background characteristics at Zhongshan Station over Antarctica显示文摘Seasonal variation in surface ozone and the relationship between the background ozone concentration and wind were evaluated at Zhongshan Station,Antarctica using 2008 data.The wind frequency from the station area was only 2%,while the prevailing wind frequency was much larger (79.2%).This indicates that the surface ozone observations were not affected by the human activities at the station,and therefore could be counted as background concentrations of surface ozone along Antarctic coast.The concentration of surface ozone shows a distinct annual variation with the yearly mean of 25.0 nmol mol-1 and the maximum in winter,the minimum in summer.The surface ozone concentration had a strong negative correlation with ultraviolet radiation,and the mean values during polar night were one to two times higher than those in summer.These results imply that photochemical destruction of ozone dominates over Antarctica.The ozone depletion events at Zhongshan Station were obviously related to lower temperatures and higher BrO concentrations.Backward trajectory analysis reveals that the ozone depletion events are predominately caused by the high BrO concentrations.WANG YuTing BIAN LinGen MA YongFeng TANG Jie ZHANG DongQi ZHENG XiangDong 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,10:7

3High-temperature phase transition behavior and magnetocaloric effect in a sub-rapidly solidified La–Fe–Si plate produced by centrifugal casting显示文摘A sub-rapidly solidified La Fe_(11.6)Si_(1.4)plate was fabricated directly from liquid by centrifugal casting method.The phase constitution,microstructure and magnetocaloric effect were investigated using backscatter scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,differential scanning calorimetry and physical property measurement system.When the plate was annealed at 1373 K,1 phase was formed by a solid-state peritectoid reaction.A first-order magnetic phase transition occurred in the vicinity of188 K,and the effective refrigeration capacities reached 203.5 J/kg and 209.7 J/kg in plates annealed for1 h and 3 h,respectively,under a magnetic field change of 3 T.It is suggested that centrifugal casting may become a new approach to prepare high-performance La–Fe–Si magnetocaloric plates for practical applications,which could largely accelerate the formation of 1 phase during high-temperature heat-treatment process due to refined and homogeneous honeycombed microstructure.Zhishuai Xu Yuting Dai Yue Fang Zhiping Luo Ke Han Changjiang Song Qijie Zhai Hongxing Zheng 2018Journal of Materials Science & Technology2018,34,8:4
4Epithelial-mesenchymal transition status of circulating tumor cells in breast cancer and its clinical relevance显示文摘Objective:Circulating tumor cells(CTCs)play a critical role in cancer metastasis,but their prevalence and significance remain unclear.This study attempted to track the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)status of CTCs in breast cancer patients and investigate their clinical relevance.Methods:In this study,the established negFACS-IF:E/M platform was applied to isolate rare CTCs and characterize their EMT status in breast cancer.A total of 89 breast cancer patients were recruited,including stage 0–III(n=60)and late stage(n=29)cases.Results:Using the negFACS-IF:E/M platform,it was found that in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)+patients,mesenchymal CTCs usually exhibited a high percentage of HER2+cells.Stage IV breast cancer patients had considerably more CTCs than stage 0–III patients.Among stage 0–III breast cancers,the HER2 subtype included a significantly higher percentage of mesenchymal and biphenotypic(epithelial and mesenchymal)CTCs than the luminal A or B subtypes.Among stage IV patients,CTCs were predominantly epithelial in cases with local recurrence and were more mesenchymal in cases with distant metastasis.By applying a support vector machine(SVM)algorithm,the EMT status of CTCs could distinguish between breast cancer cases with metastasis/local recurrence and those without recurrence.Conclusions:The negFACS-IF:E/M platform provides a flexible and generally acceptable method for the highly sensitive and specific detection of CTCs and their EMT traits in breast cancer.This study demonstrated that the EMT status of CTCs had high clinical relevance in breast cancer,especially in predicting the distant metastasis or local recurrence of breast cancer.Jiaojiao Zhou Xuan Zhu Shijie Wu Jingxin Guo Kun Zhang Chunjing Xu Huihui Chen Yuxi Jin Yuting Sun Shu Zheng Yiding Chen 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1:3
5A male-ABCD algorithm for hepatocellular carcinoma risk prediction in HBs Ag carriers显示文摘Objective: Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) development among hepatitis B surface antigen(HBs Ag) carriers shows gender disparity, influenced by underlying liver diseases that display variations in laboratory tests. We aimed to construct a risk-stratified HCC prediction model for HBs Ag-positive male adults.Methods: HBs Ag-positive males of 35-69 years old(N=6,153) were included from a multi-center populationbased liver cancer screening study. Randomly, three centers were set as training, the other three centers as validation. Within 2 years since initiation, we administrated at least two rounds of HCC screening using Bultrasonography and α-fetoprotein(AFP). We used logistic regression models to determine potential risk factors,built and examined the operating characteristics of a point-based algorithm for HCC risk prediction.Results: With 2 years of follow-up, 302 HCC cases were diagnosed. A male-ABCD algorithm was constructed including participant's age, blood levels of GGT(γ-glutamyl-transpeptidase), counts of platelets, white cells,concentration of DCP(des-γ-carboxy-prothrombin) and AFP, with scores ranging from 0 to 18.3. The area under receiver operating characteristic was 0.91(0.90-0.93), larger than existing models. At 1.5 points of risk score,26.10% of the participants in training cohort and 14.94% in validation cohort were recognized at low risk, with sensitivity of identifying HCC remained 100%. At 2.5 points, 46.51% of the participants in training cohort and 33.68% in validation cohort were recognized at low risk with 99.06% and 97.78% of sensitivity, respectively. 6Heavy ion and X-ray irradiation alter the cytoskeleton and cytomechanics of cortical neurons显示文摘Heavy ion beams with high linear energy transfer exhibit more beneficial physical and biological performance than conventional X-rays, thus improving the potential of this type of radiotherapy in the treatment of cancer. However, these two radiotherapy modalities both cause inevitable brain injury. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of heavy ion and X-ray irradiation on the cytoskeleton and cytomechanical properties of rat cortical neurons, as well as to determine the potential mechanism of neuronal injury after irradiation. Cortical neurons from 30 new-born mice were irradiated with heavy ion beams at a single dose of 2 Gy and X-rays at a single dose of 4 Gy; subsequent evaluation of their effects were carried out at 24 hours after irradiation. An immunofluorescence assay showed that after irradiation with both the heavy ion beam and X-rays, the number of primary neurons was significantly decreased, and there was evidence of apoptosis. Radiation-induced neuronal injury was more apparent after X-irradiation. Under atomic force microscopy, the neuronal membrane appeared rough and neuronal rigidity had increased. These cell changes were more apparent following exposure to X-rays. Our findings indicated that damage caused by heavy ion and X-ray irradiation resulted in the structural distortion and rearrangement of the cytoskeleton, and affected the cytomechanical properties of the cortical neurons. 7Transient silencing mediated by in vitro synthesized double-stranded RNA indicates that PsCdc14 is required for sporangial development in a soybean root rot pathogen显示文摘In many eukaryotic organisms,Cdc14 phosphatase regulates multiple biological events during anaphase and is essential for mitosis.It has been shown that Cdc14 is required for sporulation in the potato blight pathogen Phytophthora infestans;however,the role that the Cdc14 homolog(PsCdc14) plays in the soil-borne soybean root rot pathogen P.sojae remains ambiguous.PsCdc14 is highly expressed in sporulation,zoospore,and cyst life stages,but not in vegetative mycelia and infection stages,suggesting that it contributes to asexual reproduction and thus the spread of the disease.Double-stranded RNA(dsRNA) mediates gene silencing,a post-transcriptional and highly conserved process in eukaryotes,involving specific gene silencing through degradation of target mRNA.We combined in vitro dsRNA synthesis and a polyethylene glycol-mediated transformation system to construct a dsRNA-mediated transient gene silencing system;and then performed a functional analysis of PsCdc14 in P.sojae.PsCdc14 mRNA was dramatically reduced in transformants after protoplasts were exposed in in vitro synthesized PsCdc14 dsRNA,resulting in low sporangial production and abnormal development in P.sojae silencing lines.Furthermore,dsRNA-mediated transient gene silencing could enable elucidation of P.sojae rapid gene function,facilitating our understanding of the development and pathogenicity mechanisms of this oomycete fungus.ZHAO Wei YANG XinYu DONG SuoMeng SHENG YuTing WANG YuanChao ZHENG XiaoBo 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,12:3
8The development of real time data driving multi-axis linkage and synergic movement control system of 3D variable cross-section roll forming machine显示文摘The three dimensional variable cross-section roll forming is a kind of new metal forming technology which combines large forming force,multi-axis linkage movement and space synergic movement,and the sequential synergic movement of the ganged roller group is used to complete the metal sheet forming according to the shape of the complicated and variable forming part data.The control system should meet the demands of quick response to the test requirements of the product part.A new kind of real time data driving multi-axis linkage and synergic movement control strategy of 3D roll forming is put forward in the paper.In the new control strategy,the forming data are automatically generated according to the shape of the parts,and the multi-axis linkage movement together with cooperative motion among the six stands of the 3D roll forming machine is driven by the real-time information,and the control nodes are also driven by the forming data.The new control strategy is applied to a 48axis 3D roll forming machine developed by our research center,and the control servo period is less than 10ms.A forming experiment of variable cross section part is carried out,and the forming precision is better than±0.5mm by the control strategy.The result of the experiment proves that the control strategy has significant potentiality for the development of 3D roll forming production line with large scale,multi-axis ganged and synergic movement.管延智 Li Qiang Wang Haibo Yang Zhenfeng Zheng Yuting 2013High Technology Letters2013,19,3:2
9DDIT4 mediates the proliferation-promotive effect of IL-34 in human monocytic leukemia cells显示文摘Interleukin 34(IL-34)is a cytokine that shares the receptor with colony-stimulating factor 1(CSF-1).IL-34 is involved in a broad range of pathologic processes including cancer.We previously demonstrated that IL-34 promoted the proliferation and colony formation of human acute monocytic leukemia(AMoL)cells.However,the mechanism has not been elucidated.Here,by analyzing the gene profiles of Molm13 and THP1 cells overexpressing IL-34(Molm13-IL-34 and THP1-IL-34),upregulation of the DNA damageinducible transcript 4(DDIT4)was detected in both series.Knockdown of DDIT4 effectively inhibited the proliferation,promoted apoptosis and colony formation in Molm13-IL-34 and THP1-IL-34 cells.Our results suggest that DDIT4 mediates the proliferationpromotive effect of IL-34 whereas does not mediate the promotive effect of IL-34 on colony formation in AMoL cells.Xiaoqian Lv Yuting Hu Lina Wang Dongyue Zhang Hao Wang Yibo Dai Xiaoxi Cui Guoguang Zheng 2021Blood Science2021,3,2:2
10Zinc-based metal organic framework with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties for promoting wound healing显示文摘The synergistic effect of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory is needed to overcome the problem of wound healing difficulties.Based on the favorable antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect of zinc ions(Zn^(2+))and the physicochemical properties of metal organic frameworks(MOFs),we prepared nanosized zinc-based MOF:Zn-BTC with the ability to slowly release Zn^(2+).In cellular levels,Zn-BTC possessed lower toxicity to fibroblasts and enhanced capacity of cell proliferation and migration.It also had good bactericidal effect on multiple drug-resistant bacteria by reducing 41.4%MRSA and 47.2%Escherichia coli.In addition,Zn-BTC also displayed the ability of lowering the expression of antioxidant genes:superoxide dismutase 1,superoxide dismutase 2 and interleukin 6,and enhancing the expression of wound healing genes:transforming growth factors-b and type I collagen.Finally,it also demonstrated that Zn-BTC could effectively improve the skin wound healing of SD rats and had no toxicity on major organs.The favorable biocompatibility,antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of Zn-BTC gave a new insight of designing novel MOFs for promoting skin wound healing.Yuting Chen Jinhong Cai Dachang Liu Shuhan Liu Doudou Lei Li Zheng Qingjun Wei Ming Gao 2022Regenerative Biomaterials2022,9,1:2
11SERS study on the synergistic effects of electric field enhancement and charge transfer in an Ag2S quantum dots/plasmonic bowtie nanoantenna composite system显示文摘Localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR)of nanostructures and the interfacial charge transfer(CT)of semiconductor materials play essential roles in the study of optical and photoelectronic properties.In this paper,a composite substrate of Ag2S quantum dots(QDs)coated plasmonic Au bowtie nanoantenna(BNA)arrays with a metalinsulator-metal(MIM)configuration was built to study the synergistic effect of LSPR and interfacial CT using surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)in the near-infrared(NIR)region.The Au BNA array structure with a large enhancement of the localized electric field(E-field)strongly enhanced the Raman signal of adsorbed p-aminothiophenol(PATP)probe molecules.Meanwhile,the broad enhanced spectral region was achieved owing to the coupling of LSPR The as-prepared Au BNA array structure facilitated enhancements of the excitation as well as the emission of Raman signal simultaneously,which was established by finite-difference time-domain simulation.Moreover,Ag2S semiconductor QDs were introduced into the BNA/PATP system to further enhance Raman signals,which benefited from the interfacial CT resonance in the BNA/Ag2S-QDs/PATP system.As a result,the Raman signals of PATP in the BNA/Ag2S-QDs/PATP system were strongly enhanced under 785 nm laser excitation due to the synergistic effect of E-field enhancement and interfacial CT.Furthermore,the SERS polarization dependence effeas of the BNA/Ag2S-QDs/PATP system were also investigated.The SERS spectra indicated that the polarization dependence of the substrate increased with decreasing polarization angles(θpola)of excitation from p-polarized(θpola=90°)excitation to s-polarized(θpola=0°)excitation.This study provides a strategy using the synergistic effect of interfacial CT and E-field enhancement for SERS applications and provides a guidance for the development of SERS study on semiconductor QD-based plasmonic substrates,and can be farther extended to other material-nanostructure systems for various optoelectronic and sensing applications.BIN WANG CHEN ZHAO HUANYU LU TINGTING ZOU SUBHASH C.SINGH ZHI YU CHAONAN YAO XIN ZHENG JUN XING YUTING ZOU CUNZHU TONG WEILI YU BO ZHAO CHUNLEI GUO 2020Photonics Research2020,8,4:1

19Sex differences of brain cortical structure in major depressive disorder显示文摘Background:Major depressive disorder(MDD)has different clinical presentations in males and females.However,the neuroanatom-ical mechanisms underlying these sex differences are not fully understood.Objective:The purpose of present study was to explore the sex differences in brain cortical thickness(CT)and surface area(SA)of MDD and the relationship between these differences and clinical manifestations in different gender.Methods:High-resolution T1-weighted images were acquired from 61 patients with MDD and 61 healthy controls(36 females and 25 males,both).The sex differences in CT and SA were obtained using the FreeSurfer software and compared between every two groups by post hoc test.Spearman correlation analysis was also performed to explore the relationships between these regions and clinical characteristics.Results:In male patients with MDD,the CT of the right precentral was thinner compared to female patients,although this did not survive Bonferroni correction.The SA of several regions,including right superior frontal,medial orbitofrontal gyrus,inferior frontal gyrus triangle,superior temporal,middle temporal,lateral occipital gyrus,and inferior parietal lobule in female patients with MDD was smaller than that in male patients(P<0.01 after Bonferroni correction).In female patients,the SA of the right superior temporal(r=0.438,P=0.008),middle temporal(r=0.340,P=0.043),and lateral occipital gyrus(r=0.372,P=0.025)were positively correlated with illness duration.Conclusion:The current study provides evidence of sex differences in CT and SA in patients with MDD,which may improve our understanding of the sex-specific neuroanatomical changes in the development of MDD.Jingping Mou Ting Zheng Zhiliang Long Lan Mei Yuting Wang Yizhi Yuan Xin Guo Hongli Yang Qiyong Gong Lihua Qiu 2023Psychoradiology2023,3,1:0
