| 2 | Attribution of PM_(2.5) exposure in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to emissions:implication to control strategies显示文摘The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is one of the most heavily polluted regions in China,with both high PM_(2.5) concentrations and a high population density.A quantitative source-receptor relationship can provide valuable insights that can inform effective emission control strategies.Both source apportionment(SA) and source sensitivity(SS) can provide such information from different perspectives.In this study,both methods are applied in northern China to identify the most significant emission categories and source regions for PM_(2.5) exposure in BTH in 2013.Despite their differences,both models show similar distribution patterns for population and simulated PM_(2.5) concentrations,resulting in overall high PM_(2.5) exposure values(approximately 110 μg/m~) and particularly high exposure values during the winter(approximately 200 μ/m~).Both methods show that local emissions play a dominant role(70%),with some contribution from surrounding provinces(e.g.,Shandong) via regional transport.The two methods also agree on the priority of local emission controls:both identify industrial,residential,and agricultural emissions as the top three categories that should be controlled locally.In addition,the effect of controlling agricultural ammonia emissions is approximately doubled when the co-benefits of reducing nitrate are considered.The synthesis of SA and SS for addressing specific categories of emissions provides a quantitative basis for the development of emission control strategies and policies for controlling PM_(2.5)in China. | Xin Li Qiang Zhang Yang Zhang Lin Zhang Yuxuan Wang Qianqian Zhang Meng Li Yixuan Zheng Guannan Geng Timothy J.Wallington Weijian Han Wei Shen Kebin He | 2017 | Science Bulletin2017,62,13: | 15 |
| 3 | Design and baseline data of a populationbased metabonomics study of eye diseases in eastern China: the Yueqing Ocular Diseases Investigation显示文摘Background:China is undergoing a massive transition toward an urban and industrial economy.These changes will restructure the demographics and economy which will eventually influence the future patterns of disease.The risk factors of vision-impairing eye diseases remain ambiguous and poorly understood.Metabolomics is an ideal tool to understand and shed light on the ocular disease mechanisms for earlier treatment.This article aims to describe the design,methodology and baseline data of the Yueqing Ocular Diseases Investigation(YODI),a developed county population-based study to determine the prevalence and primary causes of visual impairment;also with metabonomics analysis we aimed to identify,predict and suggest some preventive biomarkers that cause blindness.Methods:A population-based,cross-sectional study.Randomized clustering sampling was used to identify adults aged 50 years and older in Xiangyang Town,Yueqing county-level City.The interviews covered demographic,behavioral,ocular risk factors and mental health state.The ocular examination included visual acuity,autorefraction,intraocular pressure,anterior and posterior segment examinations,fundus photography,retinal tomography and angiography,and visual field testing.Anthropometric measurements included height and weight,waist and hip circumference,blood pressure,pulse rate,electrocardiogram,and abdominal ultrasound scan.A venous blood sample was collected for laboratory tests and metabonomics studies.Results:Of the 5319 individuals recruited for the YODI,4769(89.7%)subjects were enrolled for analyses.The median age was 62.0 years,and 45.6%were male.The educational level of illiteracy or semi-illiteracy,primary,middle and high school or above was 29.8%,45.5%,20.1%,and 3.3%,respectively.Majority of the participants were female,younger,and less educated when compared with nonparticipants.The average body mass index and waist-hip ratios were 24.4±3.4 kg/m^(2) and 0.9±0.1 respectively.Blood sample collection reached a sample size of 1909(479 from subjects with selfreported diabetes and 1430 from one-third of the 4290 subjects without self-reported diabetes).Conclusions:The YODI provides population-based data with a high response rate(89.7%)on the prevalence and primary causes of major vision-impairing eye diseases in developed county areas in eastern China.Metabonomics analysis from YODI will provide further association of metabolic characteristics with the visual impairment eye diseases.The risk prediction model could be created and has the potential to be generalized to developed eastern areas in China for prevention. | Yuxuan Deng Yuanbo Liang Sigeng Lin Liang Wen Jin Li Yue Zhou Meixiao Shen Jingwei Zheng Kemi Feng Yanting Sun Kwapong Willaim Robert Jia Qu Fan Lu | 2020 | Eye and Vision2020,7,1: | 4 |
| 4 | Sieving carbons promise practical anodes with extensible low-potential plateaus for sodium batteries显示文摘Non-graphitic carbons are promising anode candidates for sodium-ion batteries,while their variable and complicated microstructure severely limits the rational design of high-energy carbon anodes that could accelerate the commercialization of sodium-ion batteries,as is the case for graphite in lithium-ion batteries.Here,we propose sieving carbons,featuring highly tunable nanopores with tightened pore entrances,as high-energy anodes with extensible and reversible low-potential plateaus(<0.1 V).It is shown that the tightened pore entrance blocks the formation of the solid electrolyte interphase inside the nanopores and enables sodium clustering to produce the plateau.Theoretical and spectroscopic studies also show that creating a larger area of sodiophilic pore surface leads to an almost linearly increased number of sodium clusters,and controlling the pore body diameter guarantees the reversibility of sodium cluster formation,producing a sieving carbon anode with a record-high plateau capacity of 400 mAh g.More excitingly,this approach to preparing sieving carbons has the potential to be scalable for modifying different commercial porous carbons. | Qi Li Xiangsi Liu Ying Tao Jianxing Huang Jun Zhang Chunpeng Yang Yibo Zhang Siwei Zhang Yiran Jia Qiaowei Lin Yuxuan Xiang Jun Cheng Wei Lv Feiyu Kang Yong Yang Quan-Hong Yang | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,8: | 3 |

| 7 | Starch-based adhesive hydrogel with gel-point viscoelastic behavior and its application in wound sealing and hemostasis显示文摘Hydrogels with tissue adhesiveness have demonstrated great promise for wearable electronics,artificial skin,soft robotics,and tissue repair.Nevertheless,adhesive hydrogels that are capable of sealing and hemostasis of wound with severe hemorrhage still lack.For this purpose,a series of ionically crosslinked starch hydrogels were developed here.The viscoelastic properties and tissue adhesiveness of the starch hydrogels were investigated.It is shown that the starch and cross linkers had significant influence on the viscoelastic properties of the starch hydrogels,which further resulted in varied tissue adhesiveness.Among the starch gels,there was one exhibiting a unique and stable'Gel Point'viscoelastic characteristic and it was named as gel-point adhesive hydrogel(GPAH).GPAH showed electrical conductivity,high tissue adhesiveness,high stretch-ability,self-healing capability,injectability,and degradability.The GPAH also exhibited high cytocompatibility,low hemolysis risk,and strong antibacterial effect.The wound sealing and hemostatic performance of GPAH was further evaluated by a rat femoral artery injury model.The blood loss after the sealing of GPAH(2.4±1.3 g)was significantly decreased compared to the group using gauze for sealing(6.3±1.5 g).Meanwhile,GPAH did not cause pathological changes of the soft tissues surrounding the wound.The above results indicate that GPAH,with high tissue adhesiveness,suitable viscoelastic property,strong antibacterial capacity,as well as electro-conductivity,bears great potential for the applications in smart wound management. | Yuxuan Mao Peng Li Jiewei Yin Yanjie Bai Huan Zhou Xiao Lin Huilin Yang Lei Yang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,4: | 3 |

| 9 | Construction of Highly Emissive Pt(Ⅱ) Metallacycles upon Irradiation显示文摘Photoswitchable or photoactivatable fluorescent species have been found wide applications within supramolecular chemistry and materials science.In this study,we successfully constructed two highly emissive Pt(Ⅱ)metallacycles from the diarylethene ligands via coordination-driven self-assembly.Different from the most known fluorescent metallacycles,the obtained metallacycles have displayed'turn-on'fluorescence switching.They are non-fluorescent in solution,but they emit highly yellow or orange fluorescence under ultraviolet irradiation.The metallacycles were well characterized by 1H NMR,31P NMR and ESI-TOF-MS.The photochromic properties of the resultant metallacycles were investigated by 1H NMR,31P NMR,UV/Vis spectrum and fluorescence spectrum.Notably,NMR studies revealed that these two metallacycles featured excellent cyclization efficiency(90% conversion efficiency).Moreover,the closed-ring isomers of the metallacycles displayed relatively high quantum yield(ФF=0.5).DFT simulations demonstrated that the antiparallel configuration of the diarylethene ligand had an angle closed to 120°,which was more stable in energy compared to the parallel configuration,thus allowing for the facile construction of highly emissive metallacycles.We believe that such highly emissive metallacycles which are in-situ prepared upon irradiation can be used as new fluorescence materials for sensing and bioimaging in the future. | Yi Qin Ying Zhang Guangqiang Yin Yuxuan Wang Changwei Zhang Lijun Chen Hongwei Tan Xiaopeng Li Lin Xu Haibo Yang | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,4: | 2 |
