| 2 | Encapsulation of lyophilized platelet-rich fibrin in alginate-hyaluronic acid hydrogel as a novel vascularized substitution for myocardial infarction显示文摘Cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction(MI)are among the major causes of death worldwide.Although intramyocardial injection of hydrogels can effectively enhance the ventricular wall,this approach is limited because of its restriction to the poor vascularization in the infarcted myocardium.Here,we reported a new type of hydrogel composed of alginate(ALG)and hyaluronic acid(HA)with lyophilized platelet-rich fibrin(Ly-PRF)for releasing abundant growth factors to realize their respective functions.The results of in vitro studies demonstrated favorable mechanical property and release ability of ALG-HA with Ly-PRF.When injected into the infarcted myocardium,this composite hydrogel preserved heart function and the Ly-PRF within the hydrogel promoted angiogenesis and increased vascular density in both infarcted and border zone,which rescued the ischemic myocardium.These beneficial effects were also accompanied by macrophage polarization and regulation of myocardial fibrosis.Moreover,the autologous origin of Ly-PRF with ALG-HA hydrogel offers myriad advantages including safety profile,easiness to obtain and cost-effectiveness.Overall,this study demonstrated the versatile therapeutic effects of a novel composite hydrogel ALG-HA with Ly-PRF,which optimizes a promising vascularized substitution strategy for improving cardiac function after MI. | Bei Qian Qi Yang Mingliang Wang Shixing Huang Chenyu Jiang Hongpeng Shi Qiang Long Mi Zhou Qiang Zhao Xiaofeng Ye | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,1: | 2 |

| 9 | A spike-trimer protein-based tetravalent COVID-19 vaccine elicits enhanced breadth of neutralization against SARS-CoV-2 Omicron subvariants and other variants显示文摘Multivalent vaccines combining crucial mutations from phylogenetically divergent variants could be an effective approach to defend against existing and future SARS-Co V-2 variants.In this study,we developed a tetravalent COVID-19 vaccine SCTV01E,based on the trimeric Spike protein of SARS-Co V-2 variants Alpha,Beta,Delta,and Omicron BA.1,with a squalenebased oil-in-water adjuvant SCT-VA02B.In the immunogenicity studies in na?ve BALB/c and C57BL/6J mice,SCTV01E exhibited the most favorable immunogenic characteristics to induce balanced and broad-spectrum neutralizing potencies against pre-Omicron variants(D614G,Alpha,Beta,and Delta)and newly emerging Omicron subvariants(BA.1,BA.1.1,BA.2,BA.3,and BA.4/5).Booster studies in C57BL/6J mice previously immunized with D614G monovalent vaccine demonstrated superior neutralizing capacities of SCTV01E against Omicron subvariants,compared with the D614G booster regimen.Furthermore,SCTV01E vaccination elicited na?ve and central memory T cell responses to SARS-Co V-2 ancestral strain and Omicron spike peptides.Together,our comprehensive immunogenicity evaluation results indicate that SCTV01E could become an important COVID-19 vaccine platform to combat surging infections caused by the highly immune evasive BA.4/5 variants.SCTV01E is currently being studied in a head-to-head immunogenicity comparison phase 3 clinical study with inactivated and m RNA vaccines(NCT05323461). | Rui Wang Hongpeng Huang Chulin Yu Chunyun Sun Juan Ma Desheng Kong Yalong Lin Dandan Zhao Shaozheng Zhou Jianbo Lu Sai Cao Yanjing Zhang Chunxia Luo Xuefeng Li Yang Wang Liangzhi Xie | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,8: | 1 |

| 13 | Association of self-reported health with alcohol consumption: a study conducted among Chinese and Canadian middle-aged and older adults显示文摘There has been lack of studies that examine the relationship between self-rated health(SRH)and alcohol consumption,particularly in middle-aged and older adult populations.This study aims to investigate association of SRH status with alcohol consumption in middle-aged and older adult populations.The study is a cross-sec-tional study design that was based on the China Health and Retired Longitudinal study(CHARLS)and the Canadian Alcohol and Drug Monitoring Survey(CAD-UMS)and the Canadian Alcohol,Tobacco and Drug Survey(CTADS).Measure of health is SRH status and self-reported alcohol use.Multinomial logistic regres-sion was performed to model the data and the odds ratio of self-reported excel-lent,very good,good and fair(versus poor)for current and former drinkers versus nondrinkers and current drinkers versus former drinkers was estimated in models after adjusting for covariates.This study found that in both Chinese and Canadian adult populations,current drinkers reported better health status than former drink-ers;lifetime nondrinkers reported better health status than former drinkers.Current drinkers reported better health status than nondrinkers.Canadian moderate drinkers(1.3-44 g per day)tended to report better health compared with occasional drinkers and Chinese heavy drinkers(45+grams per day)reported better health status com-pared with occasional drinkers in both populations.This study found current drink-ers tended to have better health status than former drinker and lifetime nondrinkers in adult populations.Nondrinkers tended to report better health status than former drinkers.Low and medium drinkers reported better health status. | Jinhui Zhao Hongpeng Sun Yana Ma Xingxue Cheng | 2020 | China Population and Development Studies2020,4,4: | 0 |
| 14 | Parameter optimization and experiment of the negative pressure precision seed-metering device for wheat显示文摘In order to ensure the most reasonable distribution of wheat seeds in the field to improve seeding quality and uniformity,a set of negative pressure precision seed-metering device was designed,which shares a hollow shaft.Every seed-metering device can sow two rows of wheat.By the STAR-CCM+,the analysis of nephogram,vectogram and streamline graph showed that more ideal structural parameters of the seed-metering device are 0.5 mm width of the slit sucking seed(WSS),150-200 mm diameter of the seed-metering disc(DSD),2.0 mm axial depth of air chamber in the seed-metering disc(ADS),and arc-shaped cross-section shape of the ring groove sucking seed(CSGS).Single-factor test on the JPS-12 test-bed analyzed the influence of the CSGS,WSS,DSD,and ADS on the qualified index(Iq),multiple index(Imul),miss index(Imiss)and coefficient of variation of qualified seed spacing(CV).Through the orthogonal on the JPS-12 test-bed,it is found that the influence of vacuum negative pressure and seed-metering device shaft speed is significant on the Iq,Imiss and Imul.Based on these,the structural parameters of the seed-metering device were optimized.The DSD is 180 mm,the WSS is 0.7 mm,the ADS is 2.5 mm,and the CSGS is arc-shaped.The optimization seed-metering device was tested on the JPS-12 test-bed.The Iq is 86.66%,the Imiss is 5.09%,the Imul is 8.25%,and the CV is 24.50%.These testing results fully coincide with the standard JB/T 10293-2013 Specifications of single seed drill(precision drill).The seed-metering device meets fully the requirements for wheat precision seeding. | Yubo Feng Xiaoshun Zhao Jincai Li Huali Yu Hongpeng Zhao Baozhong Yin | 2024 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2024,17,1: | 0 |

It was concluded that the adjustment of illumination according to monthly irradiance is beneficial to ginseng growth; appropriate illumination significantly affected root diameter; and SPAD value could also be used in the production of ginseng,but different light environments have influences on its accuracy. | 19 | Drinking alcohol increased the possibility of self-rated poor health and mortality risk among middle-aged and seniors: a longitudinal study conducted in China显示文摘There has been lack of studies that investigate the causal impact of alcohol consumption on health and mortality in middle-aged and older populations in China.This cohort study aims to investigate whether alcohol use increases poor health and mortality risk in middle-aged and older Chinese population.The study is a cohort study design that was based on the China Health and Retired Longitudinal study(CHARLS).Measures of poor health and alcohol use are self-rated poor/very poor and alcohol use.Competing Cox proportional hazard regression model(CPHM)was used to model the data and the hazards ratio(HR)of poor health,mortality for current and former drinkers versus nondrinkers and current drinkers versus former drinkers was estimated using CPHM after adjusting for deign-effects and covariates.This study found significantly increased risk of all-cause mortality among current(adjusted HR=1.54 and P=0.0423)and former drinkers(Adjusted HR=1.52 and P=0.0096)compared to lifetime nondrinkers among middle-aged and senior Chinese people;significantly increased hazard of poor health among current drinkers(Adjusted HR=1.26 and P=0.0443)compared with lifetime nondrinkers.The hazards of all-cause mortality and self-rated poor health increased with the amount and frequency of alcohol drinking,and drinking years.This study found that either former or current drinkers self-rated having a poor health and had a significantly increased risk of all-cause mortality compared with nondrinkers.Heavy drinkers had poor health status and higher risk of mortality compared with those who drank light or moderate amount of alcohol in middle-aged and senior Chinese population. | Jinhui Zhao Yana Ma Hongpeng Sun | 2021 | China Population and Development Studies2021,5,5: | 0 |
| 20 | Effect of annealing treatment on the performance of organic photovoltaic devices using SPFGraphene as electron-accepter material显示文摘We have researched the performances of organic photovoltaic devices with the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) structure using the organic solution-processable functionalized graphene (SPFGraphene) material as the electron-accepter material and P3OT as the donor material. The structural configuration of the device is ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P3OT:PCBM-SPFGraphene/LiF/Al. Given the P3OT/PCBM (1:1) mixture with 8wt% of SPFGraphene, the open-circuit voltage (Voc) of the device reaches 0.64 V, a short-circuit current density (Jsc) reaches 5.7 mA/cm2, a fill factor (FF) reaches 0.42, and the power conversion efficiency ( ) reaches 1.53% at illumination at 100 mW/cm2 AM1.5. We further studied the reason for the device performances improvement. In the P3OT:PCBM-SPFGraphene composite, the SPFGraphene material acts as exciton dissociation sites and provides the transport pathways of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO)-SPFGraphene-Al. Furthermore, adding SPFGraphene to P3OT results in appropriate energetic distance between the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and LUMO of the donor/acceptor and provides higher exciton dissociation volume mobility of carrier transport. We have researched the effect of annealing treatment for the devices and found that the devices with annealing treatment at 180°C show better performances compared with devices without annealed treatment.
