1Operation of a Rotary-valved Pulse Detonation Rocket Engine Utilizing Liquid-kerosene and Oxygen显示文摘The pulse detonation rocket engine (PDRE) requires periodic supply of oxidizer, fuel and purge gas. A rotary-valve assembly is fabricated to control the periodic supply in this research. Oxygen and liquid aviation kerosene are used as oxidizer and fuel respectively. An ordinary automobile spark plug, with ignition energy as low as 50 mJ, is used to initiate combustion. Steady operation of the PDRE is achieved with operating frequency ranging from 1 Hz to 10 Hz. Experimentally measured pressure is lower than theoretical value by 13% at 1 Hz and 37% at 10 Hz, and there also exists a velocity deficit at different operating frequencies. 2Evolution of the microstructure and solute distribution of Sn-10wt% Bi alloys during electromagnetic field-assisted directional solidification显示文摘The effects of forced flows at different velocities on microstructure and solute distribution during the directional solidification of Sn-10 wt% Bi alloys under a simultaneous imposition of a transverse static magnetic field(TSMF) and an external direct current(DC) have been investigated experimentally and numerically. The experimental results show that the solid-liquid interface will gradually become sloping with the increase of the forced flow velocity when the thermoelectric magnetic convection(TEMC)dominates the forced flow at solidification front. However, the interface will gradually become planar as the flow velocity further increases when the electromagnetic convection(EMC) dominates the forced flow. Moreover, when the flow velocity gradually increases, the primary dendrite spacing decreases from384 to 105 μm accordingly. The simulation results show that the solute distribution at the two sides of the sample can be significantly changed by the forced flow at solidification front. The rejected solute will be unidirectionally transported to one side of the sample along the TEMC(a low-velocity forced flow),thereby causing the formation of a sloping interface. However, the rejected solute will be returned back along the EMC(a higher-velocity force flow), which results in a planar interface. Furthermore, the solute content at the two sides of the sample under the forced flows at different velocities was measured. 5Blood pressure monitoring via double sandwich-structured triboelectric sensors and deep learning models显示文摘Real-time blood pressure monitoring is essential for the timely diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease.Many traditional prediction methods estimate blood pressure by measuring multiple sets of physiological signals with energyconsuming sensors.Herein,a continuous,cuffless and self-powered blood pressure monitoring system was developed based on a new double sandwich-structured triboelectric sensor and a novel blood pressure method estimation.A pyramid-patterned sensor based on the double sandwich structure realizes a sensitivity of 0.89 V/kPa in a linear range of 0–35 kPa,which is more than twice of the conventional single electrode structure.The sensor processes a low pressure detection limit of 1 g andfast response time of 32 ms.Hence,it can easily capture the pulse signal at the radial artery.Furthermore,a novel method for estimating blood pressure using pulse waves accompanied by the user’s background information was proposed.This method measures only one set of pulse signals and is portable.A deep learning model with multi-network structures was developed to improve the estimation accuracy.The mean absolute error and standard deviation of error for systolic and diastolic blood pressure(SBP and DBP)estimations were 3.79±5.27 and 3.86±5.18 mmHg,respectively.This work reveals a new sensing structure of triboelectric sensors and offers a novel method for blood pressure estimation.Xu Ran Fangyuan Luo Zhiming Lin Zhiyuan Zhu Chuanjun Liu Bin Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:0
6NUMERICAL CALCULATIONS OF GASEOUS REACTING FLOWS IN A MODEL OF GAS TURBINE COMBUSTORS显示文摘This paper describes the numerical calculations of gaseous reaction flows in a model of gas turbine combustors. The profiles of hydrodynamic and thermodynamic patterns in a three-dimensional combustor model are obtained by solving the governing differential transport equations. The well-established numerical prediction algorithm SIMPLE, the modified k-ε turbulence model and k-ε-g turbulent diffusion flame model have been adopted in computations. The β function has been selected as probability density function. The effect of combustion process on flow patterns has been investigated. The calculated results have been verified by experiments. 7The Application of Eddy Current Transducer for Testing Movement Locus of Shaker Screen显示文摘Shaker screen is one of important equipments in the industry of oil, metallurgy, coal and timbering. The movement locus of shaker screen affects the capacity and efficiency of shaker screen to split the solid particle from crude ore directly. To test movement of shaker locus, two eddy current transducers are employed. A discussion of the usage of these eddy current transducer to test and acceleration sensors will be made. 8Effects of mixed fertilizers formed by the compounding of two targeted controlled-release nitrogen fertilizers on yield,nitrogen use efficiency,and ammonia volatilization in double-cropping rice显示文摘One-time application of mixed fertilizer formed by the compounding of two controlled-release nitrogen fertilizers(CRUs)with targeted N supply during the periods from transplantation(TS)to panicle initiation(PI)and from PI to heading(HS)is expected to synchronize the double-peak N demand of rice.However,its effects on the yield and N use efficiency(NUE)of labor-intensive double-cropping rice were unknown.Two targeted CRU(CRU_(A)and CRU_(B))were compounded in five ratios(CRU_(A):CRU_(B)=10:0,7:3,5:5,3:7,and 0:10)to form five mixed fertilizers(BBFs):BBF1-5.A field experiment was performed to investigate the characteristics of N supply in early and late seasons under different BBFs and their effects on N uptake,yield,and ammonia volatilization(AV)loss from paddy fields of double-cropping rice.Conventional high-yield fertilization(CK,three split applications of urea)and zero-N treatments were established as controls.The N supply dropped significantly with the increased compound ratio of CRU_(B)during the period from TS to PI,but increased during the period from PI to HS.With the exception of the period from TS to PI in the late rice season,the N uptake of early and late rice maintained close synchronicity with the N supply of BBFs during the double-peak periods.Excessive N supply(BBF1 and BBF2)in the late rice season during the period from TS to PI increased N loss by AV.The effect of BBF on grain yield increase varied widely between seasons,irrespective of year.Among the BBFs,the BBF2 treatment of early rice not only stabilized the spikelets per panicle but also ensured a high number of effective panicles by promoting N uptake during the period from TS to PI and a high grain-filling percentage by appropriately reducing the N supply at the later PI stage,resulting in the highest rice yield.While stabilizing the effective panicle number,the BBF4 treatment of late rice increased the number of spikelets per panicle by promoting N uptake during the period from PI to HS,resulting in the highest rice yield.The two-year average yield and apparent N recovery efficiency of the BBF2 treatment during the early rice season were 9.6 t ha 1 and 45.3%,while those of late rice in BBF4 were 9.6 t ha 1 and 43.0%,respectively.The yield and NUE indexes of BBF2 in early rice and BBF4 in late rice showed no significant difference from those of CK.The AVs of BBF2 during the early rice season and of BBF4 during the late rice season were 50.0%and 76.8%lower,respectively,than those of CK.BBF2 and BBF4 could effectively replace conventional urea split fertilization in early and late rice seasons,ensuring rice yield and NUE and reducing AV loss in paddy fields.Jian Ke Jie Sun Tingting Chen Shibao Tao Tiezhong Zhu Chuanjun Yin Haibing He Cuicui You Liquan Wu Shuangshuang Guo 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,2:0
9Sequence and modified group analysis on C-terminal modified analogs of endomorphin-2 using electrospray ionization-Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometer显示文摘In this paper, a series of C-terminal modified analogs of endomorphin-2 is investigated using ESI-FT-ICR-MS. Some b, y″, a, and internal ions are found in the CID spectra and slight mass differ- ences between the calculated and observed results are obtained. Moreover, if the C-terminal modified group is t-butyloxy, it can lose butene through McLafferty rearrangement. 10Bright dual-color electrochemiluminescence of a structurally determined Pt1Ag18 nanocluster显示文摘Metal nanoclusters possess excellent electrochemical,optical,and catalytic properties,but correlating these properties remains challenging,which is the foundation to generate electrochemiluminescence(ECL).Herein,we report for the first time that a structurally determined Pt1Ag18 nanocluster generates intense ECL and simultaneously enhances the ECL of carbon dots(CDs)via an electrocatalytic effect.Pt^(1)Ag_(18)nanocluster show aggregation-induced emission enhancement and aggregation-induced ECL enhancement under light and electrochemical stimulation,respectively.In the presence of tripropylamine(TPrA)as a coreactant,solid Pt1Ag18 shows unprecedented ECL efficiency,which is more than nine times higher than that of 1 mM Ru(bpy)32+with the same TPrA concentration.Potential-resolved ECL spectra reveal two ECL emission bands in the presence of TPrA.The ECL emission centered at 650 nm is assigned to the solid Pt_(1)Ag_(18)nanocluster,consistent with the peak wavelength in self-annihilation ECL and photoluminescence of the solid state.The ECL emission centered at 820 nm is assigned to the CDs on the glassy carbon electrode.The electrocatalytic effect of the nanoclusters enhanced the ECL of the CDs by a factor of more than 180 in comparison to that without nanoclusters.Based on the combined optical and electrochemical results,the ECL generation pathways and mechanisms of Pt1Ag18 and CDs are proposed.These findings are extremely promising for designing multifunctional nanocluster luminophores with strong emissions and developing ratiometric sensing devices.Bing Yin Lirong Jiang Xiaojian Wang Ying Liu Kaiyang Kuang Mengmeng Jing Chunmin Fang Chuanjun Zhou Shuang Chen Manzhou Zhu 2024Aggregate2024,5,1:0
11Conformational isomerization of N-(naphthalen-1-yl)-N-(phenyl(quinolin-3-yl)methyl)amide derivatives显示文摘A series of N-(naphthalen-1-yl)-N-(phenyl(quinolin-3-yl)methyl)amide derivatives were designed and synthesized as anti-Mycobacterium tuberculosis drugs. NMR spectra showed that two conformational isomers of these compounds exist in solution,which is not due to cis-trans isomerization of amide bond. 12Symmetry breaking of highly symmetrical nanoclusters for triggering highly optical activity显示文摘Developing new approaches to fulfill the enantioseparation of nanocluster racemates and construct cluster-based nanomaterials with optical activity remains highly desired in cluster science,because it is an essential prerequisite for fundamental research and extensive applications of these nanomaterials.We herein propose a strategy termed“active-site exposing and partly re-protecting”to trigger the symmetry breaking of highly symmetrical nanoclusters and to render cluster crystals optically active.The vertex PPh_(3)of the symmetrical Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)(PPh_(3))_(4)(SSR=1,3-benzenedithiol)nanocluster was firstly dissociated in the presence of counterions with large steric hindrance,and then the exposed Ag active sites of the obtained Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)nanocluster were partly re-protected by Ag^(+),yielding an Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)-Ag_(2)nanocluster with a symmetry-breaking construction.Ag_(29)(SSR)_(12)-Ag_(2)followed a chiral crystallization mode,and its crystal displayed strong optical activity,derived from CD and CPL characterizations.Overall,this work presents a new approach(i.e.,active-site exposing and partly re-protecting)for the symmetry breaking of highly symmetrical nanoclusters,the enantioseparation of nanocluster racemates,and the achievement of highly optical activity.Xiao Wei Hao Li Honglei Shen Chuanjun Zhou Shuxin Wang Xi Kang Manzhou Zhu 2024Fundamental Research2024,4,1:0
