| 4 | Economic evaluation of cervical cancer screening strategies in urban China显示文摘Objective:This study evaluated the feasibility of different cervical cancer screening strategies in urban China.Methods:A Markov model was constructed to simulate a hypothetical cohort of 100,000 females aged 30-59 years in a 20-year period.Screening strategies included liquid-based cytology(LBC)every three years,human papillomavirus(HPV)DNA testing every three and five years,respectively,and a combination of HPV DNA testing and LBC(HPV+LBC)every three and five years,respectively.Model outcomes included cumulative incidence over 20 years,cumulative risk of cervical cancer,costs,life year saved(LYS),quality-adjusted life years(QALYs)and benefits.The cost-effectiveness ratios(CERs),incremental cost-effectiveness ratios(ICERs),costutility ratios(CURs),and benefit-cost ratios(BCRs)were used as outcomes in the health economic evaluation analysis.Univariate sensitivity analyses were performed to examine the stability of the results.Results:The cumulative incidence of the five screening strategies ranged from 833.02 to 1,158.07 cases per100,000 females.HPV DNA testing was most effective in reducing the cumulative risk of cervical cancer,saving life years and QALYs and gaining benefits.The CERs of HPV DNA testing every three and five years,and LBC every three years were considered to be very cost-effective if they were below China's GDP per capita.The CERs of HPV+LBC were considered to be cost-effective if they were below three times GDP per capita.The incremental cost-effectiveness analysis showed that HPV DNA testing every three and five years,LBC every three years and HPV+LBC every five years were dominant strategies.Conclusions:The findings of this study indicated that HPV DNA testing every five years or LBC every three years should be recommended in urban China. | Li Ma Yuying Wang Xiaohong Gao Yi Dai Yu Zhang Zhaojing Wang Xiaoxia Wang Limin Wang Jing Jiang Xinhua Jing Chunxia Yang Fanghui Zhao Jinghe Lang Youlin Qiao | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6: | 4 |

| 6 | Evaluation of triage strategies for high-risk human papillomavirus-positive women in cervical cancer screening:A multicenter randomized controlled trial in different resource settings in China显示文摘Objective:We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of different triage strategies for high-risk human papillomavirus(hrHPV)-positive women in primary healthcare settings in China.Methods:This study was undertaken in 11 rural and 9 urban sites.Women aged 35-64 years old were enrolled.HrHPV-positive women were randomly allocated to liquid-based cytology(LBC),visual inspection with acetic acid and Lugol’s iodine(VIA/VILI)(rural only)triage,or directly referred to colposcopy(direct COLP).At 24 months,hrHPV testing,LBC and VIA/VILI were conducted for combined screening.Results:In rural sites,1,949 hrHPV-positive women were analyzed.A total of 852,218 and 480 women were randomly assigned to direct COLP,LBC and VIA/VILI.At baseline,colposcopy referral rates of LBC or VIA/VILI triage could be reduced by 70%-80%.LBC(n=3 and n=7)or VIA/VILI(n=8 and n=26)could significantly decrease the number of colposcopies needed to detect one cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)2 or worse and CIN3+compared with direct COLP(n=14 and n=23).For the 24-month cumulative detection rate of CIN2+,VIA/VILI triage was 0.50-fold compared with LBC triage and 0.46-fold with the direct COLP.When stratified by age,baseline LBC triage+performed best(P<0.001),peaking among women aged 35-44 years(Ptrend=0.002).In urban sites,1,728 women were hrHPV genotyping test positive.A total of 408,571 and 568women were randomly assigned to direct COLP for HPV16/18+,direct COLP for other hrHPV subtypes+,and LBC triage for other hrHPV subtypes+.LBC(n=12 and n=31)significantly decreased the number of colposcopies needed to detect one CIN2+and CIN3+compared with direct COLP(n=14 and n=44).HPV16/18+increased the 24-month cumulative detection rate of CIN2+(17.89%,P<0.001).Conclusions:LBC triage for hrHPV-positive women in rural settings and direct COLP for HPV16/18+women and LBC triage for other hrHPV subtype+women in urban settings might be feasible strategies. | Le Dang Linghua Kong Yuqian Zhao Yi Dai Li Ma Lihui Wei Shulan Zhang Jihong Liu Mingrong Xi Long Chen Xianzhi Duan Qing Xiao Guzhalinuer Abulizi Guonan Zhang Ying Hong Qi Zhou Xing Xie Li Li Mayinuer Niyazi Zhifen Zhang Jiyu Tuo Yiling Ding Youlin Qiao Jinghe Lang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,5: | 2 |

| 8 | Seismogenic Structures of the 2006 ML4.0 Dangan Island Earthquake Offshore Hong Kong显示文摘The northern margin of the South China Sea, as a typical extensional continental margin, has relatively strong intraplate seismicity. Compared with the active zones of Nanao Island, Yangjiang, and Heyuan, seismicity in the Pearl River Estuary is relatively low. However, a ML4.0 earthquake in 2006 occurred near Dangan Island(DI) offshore Hong Kong, and this site was adjacent to the source of the historical M5.8 earthquake in 1874. To reveal the seismogenic mechanism of intraplate earthquakes in DI, we systematically analyzed the structural characteristics in the source area of the 2006 DI earthquake using integrated 24-channel seismic profiles, onshore–offshore wide-angle seismic tomography, and natural earthquake parameters. We ascertained the locations of NW-and NE-trending faults in the DI sea and found that the NE-trending DI fault mainly dipped southeast at a high angle and cut through the crust with an obvious low-velocity anomaly. The NW-trending fault dipped southwest with a similar high angle. The 2006 DI earthquake was adjacent to the intersection of the NE-and NW-trending faults, which suggested that the intersection of the two faults with different strikes could provide a favorable condition for the generation and triggering of intraplate earthquakes. Crustal velocity model showed that the high-velocity anomaly was imaged in the west of DI, but a distinct entity with low-velocity anomaly in the upper crust and high-velocity anomaly in the lower crust was found in the south of DI. Both the 1874 and 2006 DI earthquakes occurred along the edge of the distinct entity. Two vertical cross-sections nearly perpendicular to the strikes of the intersecting faults revealed good spatial correlations between the 2006 DI earthquake and the low to high speed transition in the distinct entity. The cross-communication between the two signaling pathways regulates several important physiological or pathological processes. However, the molecule mechanism underlying EGFR transactivation remains poorly understood. Here, we aim to study the GPCR-mediated EGFR transactivation process using the single-molecule fluorescence imaging and tracking approach.We found that although EGFR existed as monomers at the plasma membrane of resting cells, they became dimers and thus diffused slower following the activation of β2-adrenergic receptor(β2-AR) by isoproterenol(ISO). We further proved thatβ2-AR-mediated changes of EGFR in stoichiometry and dynamics were mediated by Src kinase. | 14 | Seismotectonics of the Taiwan Shoal Region in the Northeastern South China Sea:Insights from the Crustal Structure显示文摘A cluster of earthquakes occurred in the Taiwan Shoal region on the outer rise of the Manila Trench. Although most were of small to medium magnitudes, one strong earthquake occurred on September 16, 1994. Several previous studies have provided important information to progress our understanding of this single earthquake. However, little is currently known about the earthquake cluster, and it is necessary to investigate the deep crustal structure of the Taiwan Shoal region to understand the mechanisms involved in controlling and generating it. This study presents a two-dimensional seismic tomographic image of the crustal structure along the OBS2012 profile based on ocean-bottom seismograph(OBS) data, which exhibits a high-velocity anomaly flanked by low-velocity anomalies in the upper crust beneath the Taiwan Shoal. In this study, 765 earthquakes(Richter magnitude ML > 1.5) occurring between 1991 and 2015 were studied and analyses of earthquake epicenters, regional faults, and the crustal structure provides an improved understanding of the nature of active tectonics in this region. Results of analyses indicate firstly that the high-velocity area represents major asperities that correspond to the location of the earthquake cluster and where stress is concentrated. It is also depicted that the earthquake cluster was influenced by fault interactions. However, the September 1994 earthquake occurred independently of these seismic activities and was associated with reactivation of a preexisting fault. It is also determined that slab pull is resisted by the exposed precollision accretionary prism, and the resistive force is causing accumulation of inplane compressive-stress. | 18 | Calculation of the intracellular elastic modulus based on an atomic force microscope micro-cutting system显示文摘Better understanding of variations in the mechanical properties of cancer cells could help to provide novel solutions for the diagnosis,prevention,and treatment of cancers.We therefore developed a calculation model of the intracellular elastic modulus based on the contact pressure between the silicon tip of an atomic force microscope and the target cells,and cutting depth.Ovarian cells(UACC-1598) and colon cancer cells(NCI-H716) were cut into sequential layers using an atomic force microscope silicon tip.The cutting area on the cells was 8μm×8μm,and the loading force acting on the cells was increased from 17.523 to 32.126μN.The elastic modulus distribution was measured after each cutting process.There were significant differences in contact pressure and cutting depth between different cells under the same loading force,which could be attributed to differences in their intrinsic structures and mechanical properties.The differences between the average elastic modulus and surface elastic modulus for UACC-1598 and NCI-H716 cells were 0.288±0.08 kPa and 0.376±0.16 kPa,respectively.These results demonstrate that this micro-cutting method can be used to measure intracellular mechanical properties,which could in turn provide a more accurate experimental basis for the development of novel methods for the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. | YU Miao WANG JingHe WANG HongXiang LIU Li YAN YongDa ZHANG JunJie LIANG YingChun DONG Shen | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,15: | 1 |
| 19 | A chromosome-scale reference genome of Aquilegia oxysepala var.kansuensis显示文摘The genus Aquilegia(Ranunculaceae)has been cultivated as ornamental and medicinal plants for centuries.With petal spurs of strikingly diverse size and shape,Aquilegia has also been recognized as an excellent system for evolutionary studies.Pollinator‐mediated selection for longer spurs is believed to have shaped the evolution of this genus,especially the North American taxa.Recently,however,an opposite evolutionary trend was reported in an Asian lineage,where multiple origins of mini-or even nonspurred morphs have occurred.Interesting as it is,the lack of genomic resources has limited our ability to decipher the molecular and evolutionary mechanisms underlying spur reduction in this special lineage.Using long-read sequencing(PacBio Sequel),in combination with optical maps(BioNano DLS)and Hi–C,we assembled a high-quality reference genome of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis,a sister species to the nonspurred taxon.The final assembly is approximately 293.2 Mb,94.6%(277.4 Mb)of which has been anchored to 7 pseudochromosomes.A total of 25,571 protein-coding genes were predicted,with 97.2%being functionally annotated.When comparing this genome with that of A.coerulea,we detected a large rearrangement between Chr1 and Chr4,which might have caused the Chr4 of A.oxysepala var.kansuensis to partly deviate from the“decaying”path that was taken before the split of Aquilegia and Semiaquilegia.This high-quality reference genome is fundamental to further investigations on the development and evolution of petal spurs and provides a strong foundation for the breeding of new horticultural Aquilegia cultivars. | Jinghe Xie Haifeng Zhao Kunpeng Li Rui Zhang Yongchao Jiang Meimei Wang Xuelian Guo Ben Yu Hongzhi Kong Yuannian Jiao Guixia Xu | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 1 |
