2The Sequence of Magmatic-Tectonic Events and Orogenic Processes of the Yanshan Belt, North China显示文摘This paper emphasizes that the interactive constraints of geology and isotopic dating is the best approach to construct the geological event sequence, and has compiled 106 data of reasonable isotopic ages for the igneous rocks of the Yanshan belt. We propose a sequence of mgmatic-tectonic events in the Jurassic-Cretaceous Yanshan orogen of North China. Five orogenic episodes are divided, (1) pre-and initial orogenic episode (Early Jurassic); (2) early orogenic episode (Middle Jurassic); (3) peak orogenic episode (Late Jurassic); (4) late orogenic episode (early Early Cretaceous),and (5) post-orogenic episode. Each episode is a short cycle, all of the orogenic processes construct a longer cycle, and they, in general, followed a counter-clockwise (ccw) PTt path. 6Bacillus cereus AR156 primes induced systemic resistance by suppressing miR825/825 and activating defense-related genes in Arabidopsis显示文摘Small RNAs play an important role in plant immune responses. However, their regulatory function in induced systemic resistance(ISR) is nascent. Bacillus cereus AR156 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium that induces ISR in Arabidopsis against bacterial infection. Here,by comparing small RNA profiles of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato(Pst) DC3000-infected Arabidopsis with and without AR156 pretreatment, we identified a group of Arabidopsis micro RNAs(mi RNAs) that are differentially regulated by AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 and mi R825 are two mi RNA generated from a single mi RNA gene.Northern blot analysis indicated that they were significantly downregulated in Pst DC3000-infected plants pretreated with AR156, in contrast to the plants without AR156 pretreatment. mi R825 targets two ubiquitin-protein ligases,while mi R825 targets toll-interleukin-like receptor(TIR)-nucleotide binding site(NBS) and leucine-rich repeat(LRR)type resistance(R) genes. The expression of these target genes negatively correlated with the expression of mi R825 and mi R825. Moreover, transgenic plants showing reduced expression of mi R825 and mi R825 displayed enhanced resistance to Pst DC3000 infection, whereas transgenic plants overexpressing mi R825 and mi R825 were more susceptible. 7NS1-binding protein radiosensitizes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by transcriptionally suppressing c-Myc显示文摘Background:Cisplatin-based chemotherapy with concurrent radiotherapy is a standard treatment for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).NS1-binding protein(NS1-BP),a member of the BTB-kelch protein fam-ily,has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of Hela cells by suppressing c-Myc.In the present study,we examined the potential function role of NS1-BP expression in ESCC,and particularly,the sensitivity of ESCC to radiotherapy.Methods:NS1-BP expression was examined using immunohistochemistry in two cohorts(n=98 for the training cohort;n=46 for independent validation cohort)of ESCC patients receiving cisplatin-based chemotherapy and con-current radiotherapy.Normal esophageal mucosal tissue blocks were used as a control.We also conducted a series of in vitro and in vivo experiments to examine the potential effects of over-expressing NS1-BP on ESCC cells,and particu-larly their sensitivity to ionizing irradiation.Results:In the training cohort,NS1-BP downregulation was observed in 59%(85/144)of the ESCC specimens.NS1-BP downregulation was associated with chemoradiotherapeutic resistance and shorter disease-specific survival(DSS)in both the training and validation cohorts.Over-expressing NS1-BP in cultured ESCC cells substantially increased the cellular response to irradiation both in vitro and in vivo.NS1-BP also significantly enhanced IR-induced apoptosis,and abrogated IR-induced G2/M cell-cycle arrest and ATM/Chk1 phosphorylation.Immunoprecipitation assays indicated that NS1-BP could interact with c-Myc promoter regions to inhibit its transcription.In ESCC tissues,c-Myc expression was inversely correlated with NS1-BP levels,and was associated with a shorter DSS.Conclusions:Our findings highlight the role and importance of NS1-BP in radiosensitivity of ESCC.Targeting the NS1-BP/c-Myc pathway may provide a novel therapeutic strategy for ESCC.Yuwen Wang Jingjing Cheng Dan Xie Xiaofeng Ding Hailing Hou Xi Chen Puchun Er Furong Zhang Lujun Zhao Zhiyong Yuan Qingsong Pang Ping Wang Dong Qian 2018Cancer Communications2018,38,1:4
8Cenozoic Volcanism in South China Sea and Its Vicinity and South China Sea Spreading显示文摘The rock series, rock types and Sr Nd isotopic dating of the Cenozoic volcanic rocks in the South China Sea are similar to those in its vicinity. On the basis of the spreading age of the South China Sea, the Cenozoic volcanic rocks are divided into three stages: the pre spreading stage, the spreading stage and the post spreading stage. The deep process characteristics of the asthenosphere and lithosphere may be inferred from the study on primary basaltic magma. The top layers of the asthenosphere both in the spreading stage and in the pre spreading stage are closer to the earth surface than that in the post spreading stage. From the pre spreading stage to the spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere decreased in depth, while the amount of interstitial partial melts increased. The evolution of the primary basaltic magma shows a progressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a faster lithospheric spreading velocity. From the spreading stage to the post spreading stage, the top layer of the asthenosphere gradually increased in depth, but the amount of interstitial partial melts decreased. The evolution of primary basaltic magma shows a retrogressive evolution sequence of the rifting volcanism and a gradual decrease in the lithospheric spreading velocity. 9Comparison of Clinical and Epidemiological Characteristics of Asymptomatic and Symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 Infection in Children显示文摘To understand the epidemiological and clinical features of the symptomatic and asymptomatic pediatric cases of COVID-19,we carried out a prospective study in Shanghai during the period of January 19 to April 30,2020.A total of 49 children(mean age 11.5±5.12 years)confirmed with SARS-CoV-2 infection were enrolled in the study,including 11(22.4%)domestic cases and 38(77.6%)imported cases.Nine(81.8%)local cases and 12(31.6%)imported cases had a definitive epidemiological exposure.Twenty-eight(57.1%)were symptomatic and 21(42.9%)were asymptomatic.Neither asymptomatic nor symptomatic cases progressed to severe diseases.The mean duration of viral shedding for SARS-CoV-2 in upper respiratory tract was 14.1±6.4 days in asymptomatic cases and 14.8±8.4 days in symptomatic cases(P>0.05).Forty-five(91.8%)cases had viral RNA detected in stool.The mean duration of viral shedding in stool was 28.1±13.3 days in asymptomatic cases and 30.8±18.6 days in symptomatic participants(P>0.05).Children<7 years shed viral RNA in stool for a longer duration than school-aged children(P<0.05).Forty-three(87.8%)cases had seropositivity for antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 within 1–3 weeks after confirmation with infection.In conclusion,asymptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection may be common in children in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic wave.Asymptomatic cases shed viral RNA in a similar pattern as symptomatic cases do.It is of particular concern that asymptomatic individuals are potentially seed transmission of SARS-CoV-2 and pose a challenge to disease control.Jiehao Cai Xiangshi Wang Jun Zhao Yanling Ge Jin Xu He Tian Hailing Chang Aimei Xia Jiali Wang Jinqiang Zhang Zhongqiu Wei Jingjing Li Chuning Wang Jianshe Wang Qirong Zhu Xiaowen Zhai Mei Zeng 2020Virologica Sinica2020,35,6:4

13The Thermal Structure of the Upper Mantle in Eastern China——Inferred from the Petrological Model显示文摘Cenozoic basalt in eastern China contains abundant ultramafic xenoliths which are specimens of pyrolitesreleased during basaltic magma eruption. A total of 405 P-T data of pyroxene in the ultramafic rocks have beencollected, which present a more precise pyroxene geotherm. The average geothermal gradient in the upper man-tle represented by the pyroxene geotherm is about 3.3℃ / km, which is much less than that derived from theconductive thermal model (≈14℃ / km), implying the great significance of convective heat transfer. The calcu-lation shows that the contributions of convective and conductive heat transfers are 79% and 21%, respectively.The perturbation in the thermal structure of the upper mantle is an important manifestation of thetectonothermal event of Cenozoic continental rifting and intense basaltic volcanism in eastern China. Based onthe pyroxene geotherm and its comparison with the current geothermal field derived from the measurements ofthe surface heat flows, it is suggested that the Moho may be a secondary thermal boundary. 14Mycorrhizas Affect Polyphyllin Accumulation of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis through Promoting PpSE Expression显示文摘Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis is a traditional Chinese medicinal plant,in which polyphyllin as the main medicinal component is an important secondary metabolite with bioactivity.Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)have multiple positive effects on plants,while it is not clear whether AMF increase the content of medicinal components in medicinal plants.In this study,a total of nine AMF treatments were laid to analyze the mycorrhizal effect on polyphyllin accumulation and PpHMGR and PpSE expression of P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis.AMF increased the content of polyphyllin in the cultivated variety with low relation to the increase of inoculation intensity.Polyphyllin I,II,and VII were identified and partly improved by AMF inoculation,dependent on AMF treatments and culture environments.Similarly,the PpHMGR and PpSE expression was induced by mycorrhization,dependent on AMF species,whilst the induction was more obvious in PpSE than in PpHMGR after mycorrhization.It concluded that the symbiotic relationship between P.polyphylla var.yunnanensis and AMF increased polyphyllin content level in the plant,which was associated with the up-regulation of PpSE transcripts.Hailing Li Lingfeng Xu Zhuowei Li Shunxin Zhao Dongqin Guo Lu Rui Nong Zhou 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,5:2
15Influence of Shear Banding on the Formation of Brass-type Textures in Polycrystalline fcc Metals with Low Stacking Fault Energy显示文摘Texture evolution in nickel,copper and a-brass that are representative of face-centered-cubic(fcc) materials with different stacking fault energy(SFE) during cold rolling was systematically investigated.X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and electron backscatter diffraction techniques were employed to characterize microstructures and local orientation distributions of specimens at different thickness reductions.Besides,Taylor and Schmid factors of the {111} <110> slip systems and {111} <112> twin systems for some typical orientations were utilized to explore the relationship between texture evolution and deformation microstructures.It was found that in fcc metals with low SFE at large deformations,the copper-oriented grains rotated around the <110> crystallographic axis through the brass-R orientation to the Goss orientation,and finally toward the brass orientation.The initiation of shear banding was the dominant mechanism for the above-mentioned texture transition.Haile Yan Xiang Zhao Nan Jia Yiran Zheng Tong He 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,4:2
16UMSCs Attenuate LPS/D-GalN-induced Acute Liver Failure in Mice by Down-regulating the MyD88/NF-κB Pathway显示文摘Background and Aims:Acute liver failure(ALF)is an inflammatory process of acute liver cell injury.Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are undifferentiated,primitive cells with antiinflammatory,anti-apoptotic,and multi-directional differentiation abilities.This study aimed to explore the therapeutic mechanism of umbilical cord(U)MSCs in ALF.Methods:Dgalactosamine(D-GalN)combined with lipopolysaccharide(LPS)was used to establish an ALF model.After model establishment,UMSCs were injected via the tail vein.After UMSC transplantation,the number of mouse deaths was monitored every 12 h.A fully automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect changes in biochemical analysis.Pathological changes was observed by stained with hematoxylin and eosin.The expression of My D88 was detected by immunohistochemical analysis,quantitative reverse transcription,and western blotting.The expression of NF-κB was detected by quantitative reverse transcription,western blotting.The expression of Bcl-2,Bax were detected by quantitative reverse transcription,western blotting.The expression of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Results:The 48-h survival rate of the UMSC-treated group was significantly higher than that of the LPS/D-GalNexposed group.After 24 h of LPS/D-GalN exposure,UMSCs reduced serum alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase levels and improved the liver structure.Western blot and real-time fluorescence quantitative nucleic acid amplification analyses showed that UMSCs decreased MyD88 expression,thereby inhibiting LPS/GalN-induced phosphorylation and degradation of inhibitor of nuclear factor(NF)-κB(IκB).Additionally,NF-κB p65 underwent nuclear translocation,inhibiting the production of the inflammatory factors interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αand played a protective role in ALF by down-regulating the pro-apoptotic gene Bax and up-regulating the anti-apoptotic gene Bcl-2.In summary,these findings indicate that UMSCs play a protective role in LPS/GalN-induced acute liver injury via inhibition of the MyD88 pathway and subsequent inhibition of NF-κB-mediated cytokine production.Conclusions:Through the above mechanisms,UMSCs can effectively reduce LPS/D-GalN-induced ALF,reduce mouse mortality,and restore damaged liver function and damaged liver tissue.Hailing Liao Siying Du Ting Jiang Mengyao Zheng Zhao Xiang Jinhui Yang 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,5:2
