3InvesInvestigation of the Effects of Airfoil-probes on the Aerodynamic Performance of an Axial Compressor显示文摘In order to investigate the effects of the airfoil-probes on the aerodynamic performance of an axial compressor,a numerical simulation of 3D flow field is performed in a 1.5-stage axial compressor with airfoil-probes installed at the stator leading-edge(LE).The airfoil-probes have a negative influence on the compressor aerodynamic performance at all operating points.A streamwise vortex is induced by the airfoil-probe along both sides of the blade.At the mid-operating point,the vortex is notable along the pressure side and is relatively small along the suction side(SS).At the near-stall point,the vortex is slightly suppressed in the pressure surface(PS),but becomes remarkable in the suction side.A small local-separation is induced by the interactions between the vortex and the end-wall boundary layer in the corner region near the hub.That the positive pitch angle of the airfoil-probe at 6.5% span is about 15° plays an important role in the vortex evolution near the hub,which causes the fact that the airfoil-probe near the hub has the largest effects among the four airfoil-probes.In order to get a further understanding of the vortex evolution in the stator in the numerical simulation,a flow visualization experiment in a water tunnel is performed.The flow visualization results give a deep insight into the evolution of the vortex induced by the airfoil-probe.HE Xiang MA Hongwei REN Minglin XIANG Honghui 2012Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2012,25,4:8
4Electrical transport properties of Fe Se single crystal under high magnetic field显示文摘Understanding the normal electronic state is crucial for unveiling the mechanism of unconventional superconductivity(SC). In this paper, by applying a magnetic field of up to 37T on FeSe single crystals, we could reveal the normal-state transport properties after SC was completely suppressed. The normal-state resistivity exhibited a Fermi liquid behavior at low temperatures. Large orbital magnetoresistance(MR) was observed in the nematic state with H//c, whereas MR was negligible with H//ab. The magnitude of the orbital MR showed an unusual reduction, and Kohler’s rule was severely violated below 10-25 K;these were attributable to spin fluctuations. 5VisComposer: A Visual Programmable Composition Environment for Information Visualization显示文摘As the amount of data being collected has increased,the need for tools that can enable the visual exploration of data has also grown.This has led to the development of a variety of widely used programming frameworks for information visualization.Unfortunately,such frameworks demand comprehensive visualization and coding skills and require users to develop visualization from scratch.An alternative is to create interactive visualization design environments that require lttle to no programming.However,these tools only supports a small portion of visual formns.We present a programmable integrated development environment(IDE),VisComposer,that supports the development of expressive visualization using a drag and-drop visual interface.Vis-Composer exposes the programmability by customizing desired components within a modular-ized visualization composition pipeline,effectively balancing the capability gap between expert coders and visualization artists.The implemented system empowers users to compose compre-bensive visualizations with real-time preview and optimization features,and supports prototyp-ing,sharing and reuse of the effects by means of an intuitive visual composer.Visual program-ming and textual programming integrated in our system allow users to compose more complex visual effects while retaining the simplicity of use.We demonstrate the performance of VisCom-poser with a variety of examples and an informal user evaluation.Honghui Mei Wei Chen Yuxin Ma Huihua Guan Wanqi Hu 2018Visual Informatics2018,2,1:4
6Magnetic-field enhanced high-thermoelectric performance in topological Dirac semimetal Cd3As2 crystal显示文摘Thermoelectric materials can be used to convert heat to electric power through the Seebeck effect. We study magneto-thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT) in three-dimensional Dirac semimetal Cd_3As_2 crystal.It is found that enhancement of power factor and reduction of thermal conductivity can be realized at the same time through magnetic field although magnetoresistivity is greatly increased. ZT can be highly enhanced from 0.17 to 1.1 by more than six times around 350 K under a perpendicular magnetic field of 7 T. The huge enhancement of ZT by magnetic field arises from the linear Dirac band with large Fermi velocity and the large electric thermal conductivity in Cd_3As_2. 8Estimate of Hydrofluorocarbon Emissions for 2012–16 in the Yangtze River Delta, China显示文摘Hydrofluorocarbons(HFCs)have been widely used in China as substitutes for ozone-depleting substances,the production and use of which are being phased out under the Montreal Protocol.China is a major consumer of HFCs around the world,with its HFC emissions in CO2-equivalent contributing to about 18%of the global emissions for the period2012-16.Three methods are widely used to estimate the emissions of HFCs-namely,the bottom-up method,top-down method and tracer ratio method.In this study,the tracer ratio method was adopted to estimate HFC emissions in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD),using CO as a tracer.The YRD region might make a significant contribution to Chinese totals owing to its rapid economic growth.Weekly flask measurements for ten HFCs(HFC-23,HFC-32,HFC-125,HFC-134 a,HFC-143 a,HFC-152 a,HFC-227 ea,HFC-236 fa,HFC-245 fa and HFC-365 mfc)were conducted at Lin’an Regional Background Station in the YRD over the period 2012-16,and the HFC emissions were 2.4±1.4 Gg yr-1 for HFC-23,2.8±1.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-32,2.2±1.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-125,4.8±4.8 Gg yr-1 for HFC-134 a,0.9±0.6 Gg yr-1 for HFC-152 a,0.3±0.3 Gg yr-1 for HFC-227 ea and 0.3±0.2 Gg yr-1 for HFC-245 fa.The YRD total HFC emissions reached 53 Gg CO2-e yr-1,contributing 34%of the national total.The per capita HFC CO2-equivalent emissions rate was 240 kg yr-1,while the values of per unit area emissions and per million GDP emissions reached 150 Mg km-2yr-1 and 3500 kg yr-1(million CNY GDP)-1,which were much higher than national or global levels.Jingjiao PU Honghui XU Bo YAO Yan YU Yujun JIANG Qianli MA Liqu CHEN 2020Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2020,37,6:2

11Sinoatrial node pacemaker cells share dominant biological properties with glutamatergic neurons显示文摘Activation of the heart normally begins in the sinoatrial node(SAN).Electrical impulses spontaneously released by SAN pacemaker cells(SANPCs)trigger the contraction of the heart.However,the cellular nature of SANPCs remains controversial.Here,we report that SANPCs exhibit glutamatergic neuron-like properties.By comparing the single-cell transcriptome of SANPCs with that of cells from primary visual cortex in mouse,we found that SANPCs co-clustered with cortical neurons.Tissue and cellular imaging confirmed that SANPCs contained key elements of glutamatergic neurotransmitter system,expressing genes encoding glutamate synthesis pathway(G/s),ionotropic and metabotropic glutamate receptors(Grina,Gria3,Grm1 and Grm5)t and glutamate transporters(Slc17a7).SANPCs highly expressed cell markers of glutamatergic neurons(Snap25 and S/-c17a7)t whereas Gad1,a marker of GABAergic neurons,was negative.Functional studies revealed that inhibition of glutamate receptors or transporters reduced spontaneous pacing frequency of isolated SAN tissues and spontaneous Ca2+transients frequency in single SANPC.Collectively,our work suggests that SANPCs share dominant biological properties with glutamatergic neurons,and the glutamatergic neurotransmitter system may act as an intrinsic regulation module of heart rhythm,which provides a potential intervention target for pacemaker cell-associated arrhythmias.Dandan Liang Zhigang Xue Jinfeng Xue Duanyang Xie Ke Xiong Huixing Zhou Fulei Zhang Xuling Su Guanghua Wang Qicheng Zou Yi Liu Jian Yang Honghui Ma Luying Peng Chunyu Zeng Gang Li Li Wang Yi-Han Chen 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,7:1
12Characterizing the urban spatial structure using taxi trip big data and implications for urban planning显示文摘Urban spatial structure is an important feature for assessing the effects of urban planning.Quantifying an urban spatial structure cannot only help in identifying the problems with current planning but also provide a basic reference for future adjustments.Evaluation of spatial structure is a difficult task for planners and researchers and this has been usually carried out by comparing different land use structures.However,these methods cannot efficiently reflect the influence of human activities.With the wide application of big data,analyzing data on human travel behavior has increasingly been carried out to reveal the relationship between urban spatial structure and urban planning.In this study,we constructed a human-activity space network using the taxi trip big data.Clustering at different scales revealed the hierarchy and redundancy of the spatial structure for assessing the appropriateness and shortcomings of urban planning.This method was applied to a case study based on one-month taxi trip data of Dongguan City.Existing urban spatial structures at different scales were retrieved and utilized to assess the effectiveness of the master plan designed for 2000 to 2015 and 2008 to 2020,which can help identify the limitations and improvements in the spatial structure designed in these two versions of the master plan.We also evaluated the potential effect of the master plan designed for 2016 to 2035 by providing a reference for reconstructing and optimizing future urban spatial structure.The analysis demonstrated that the taxi trip data are important big data on social spatial perception,and taxi data should be used for evaluating spatial structures in future urban planning.Haibo LI Xiaocong XU Xia LI Shifa MA Honghui ZHANG 2021Frontiers of Earth Science2021,15,1:1

15QUANTITATIVE MUELLER MATRIX POLARIMETRY TECHNIQUES FOR BIOLOGICAL TISSUES显示文摘We propose and conduct both the rotating linear polarization imaging(RLPI)and Mueller matrix transformation(MMT)measurements of different biological tissue samples,and testify the capability of the Mueller matrix polarimetry for the anisotropic scattering media.The independent parameters extracted from the RLPI and MMT techniques are compared and analyzed.The tissue experimental results show that the parameters are closely related to the structural characteristics of the turbid scattering media,including the sizes of the scatterers,the angular distribution and order of alignment of thefibers.The results and conclusions in this paper may provide a potential method for the detection of precancerous and early stage cancerous tissues.Also,such studies represent the Mueller matrix transformation procedure which results in a set of parameters linking up the Mueller matrix elements to the structural and optical properties of the media.HONGHUI HE NAN ZENG DONGZHI LI RAN LIAO HUI MA 2012Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2012,5,3:0

18Enlarged fins of Tibetan catfish provide new evidence of adaptation to high plateau显示文摘The uplift of the Tibetan Plateau significantly altered the geomorphology and climate of the Euroasia by creating large mountains and rivers.Fishes are more likely to be affected relative to other organisms,as they are largely restricted to river systems.Faced with the rapidly flowing water in the Tibetan Plateau,a group of catfish has evolved greatly enlarged pectoral fins with more numbers of fin-rays to form an adhesive apparatus.However,the genetic basis of these adaptations in Tibetan catfishes remains elusive.In this study,we performed comparative genomic analyses based on the chromosome-level genome of Glyptosternum maculatum in family Sisoridae and detected some proteins with conspicuously high evolutionary rates in particular in genes involved in skeleton development,energy metabolism,and hypoxia response.We found that the hoxd12a gene evolved faster and a loss-of-function assay of hoxd12a supports a potential role for this gene in shaping the enlarged fins of these Tibetan catfishes.Other genes with amino acid replacements and signatures of positive selection included proteins involved in low temperature(TRMU)and hypoxia(VHL)responses.Functional assays reveal that the G.maculatum TRMU allele generates more mitochondrial ATP than the ancestral allele found in low-altitude fishes.Functional assays of VHL alleles suggest that the G.maculatum allele has lower transactivation activity than the low-altitude forms.These findings provide a window into the genomic underpinnings of physiological adaptations that permit G.maculatum to survive in the harsh environment of the Tibetan Himalayas that mirror those that are convergently found in other vertebrates such as humans.Liandong Yang Ning Sun Honghui Zeng Ying Wang Wenjun Chen Zufa Ding Yang Liu Jing Wang Minghui Meng Yanjun Shen Jingliang Kang Xiuhui Ma Wenqi Lv Juan Chen Axel Meyer Baocheng Guo Shunping He 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,7:0
19POLARIZATION IMAGING AND SCATTERING MODEL OF CANCEROUS LIVER TISSUES显示文摘We apply diferent polarization imaging techniques for cancerous liver tissues,and compare the relative contrasts for difference polarization imaging(DPI),degree of polarization imaging(DOPI)and rotating linear polarization imaging(RLPI).Experimental results show that a number of polarization imaging parameters are capable of differentiating cancerous cells in isotropic liver tisues.To analyze the contrast mechanism of the cancer:-sensitive polarization imaging parameters,we propose a scattering model cont aining two types of spherical scatterers and carry on Monte Carlo simula tions based on this bi-component model.Both the experimental and Monte Carlo simulated results show that the RLPI technique can provide a good imaging contrast of cancerous tissues.The bi-component scattering model provides a useful tool to ana-lyze the contrast mechanism of polarization imaging of cancerous tissues.DONGZHI LI HONGHUI HE NAN ZENG E DU RAN LIAO YONGHONG HE HUI MA 2013Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2013,6,3:0
20CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES OF MUELLER MATRIX PATTERNS FOR POLARIZATION SCATTERING MODEL OF BIOLOGICAL TISSUES显示文摘We developed a model to describe polarized photon scattering in biological tissues.In this model,tissues are simplified to a mixture of scatterers and surrounding mpdium.There are t wo types ofscatterers in the model:solid spheres and infinitely long solid cylinders.Variables related to thescatterers include:the densities and sizes of the spheres and cylinders,the orientation and angulardistribution of cylinders.Variables related to the surrounding medium include:the refractiveindex,absorption coeficient and birefringence.In this paper,as a development we introduce anoptical activity effct to the model.By comparing experiments and Monte Carlo simulations,we analyze the backscater ing Mueller matrix patterms of several tissue-like media,and summarizethe different effects coming from anisotropic scattering and optical properties.In addition,wepropose a possible method to extract the optical activity values for tissues.Both the experimentaland simulated results show that,by analyzing the Mueller matrix patterns,the microstructureand optical properties of the medium can be obtained.The characteristic features of Muellermatrix patterns are potentilly powerful tools for studying the contrast mechanisms of polari-zation imaging for medical diagnosis.E DU HONGHUI HE NAN ZENG CELONG LIU YIHONG GUO RAN LIAO MINGHAO SUN YONGHONG HE HUI MA 2014Journal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences2014,7,1:0
