1A detailed Lower Triassic conodont biostratigraphy and its implications for the GSSP candidate of the Induan-Olenekian boundary in Chaohu, Anhui Province显示文摘Chaohu is located in a deep part of carbonate ramp on the Lower Yangtze Block,which belonged to the low-latitude eastern Tethyan archipelago during the Early Triassic.Fossils were very rich in the Lower Triassic of Chaohu.Bivalves,ammonoids,conodonts were very common throughout the Lower Triassic,while fish fossils were generally rich in some beds of the upper part.It is one of the most typical sections for the Early Triassic chronostratigraphy in the world.Although various fossils had been studied in the 1980s and 1990s,recent studies based upon new and more detailed collections from the Lower Triassic of Chaohu showed that the conodont zonation needs revision.We collected Lower Triassic conodont fossils from continuous sections of the West Pingdingshan,North Pingdingshan and South Majiashan,Chaohu,Anhui Province,and updated zonations were made for each section.Eight conodont zones have been dis- tinguished.They are,in ascending order,Hindeodus typicalis zone,Neogondolella krystyni zone,Neospathodus kummeli zone,Neospath- odus dieneri zone,Neospathodus waageni zone,Neospathodus pingdingshanensis zone,Neospathodus homeri zone,and Neospathodus anhuinensis zone.The first occurrence of Neospathodus waageni eowaageni of the N.w.eowaageni subzone(i.e.the base of the N.waageni zone)is suggested as the marker to define the Induan–Olenekian boundary.Laishi Zhao Jinnan Tong Zhiming Sun Michael J. 2Clay surface modification and its coagulation of red tide organisms显示文摘Surface modification of montmorillonite by means of Mg2+ insertion reaction has been studied and a positively charged montmorillonite has been prepared. The effects of preparation temperature and Mg2+ concentration on the positive charge property of the clay and on the clay coagulating Heterosigma akashiwo have been studied. The results showed that the modified clay enhanced the coagulation and the used amount decreased to 1/5—1/10 of the original. 4Experimental investigation of time-dependent cavitation in an oscillatory squeeze film显示文摘The occurrence of time-dependent cavitation and tensile stress in an oscillatory oil squeeze film were investigated experimentally. The test apparatus was a simple thrust bearing consisting of two parallel circular plates separated by a thin viscous oil film. During the test, one plate was at rest while the other (transparent) oscillated in a direction normal to its surface. This test configuration was chosen to avoid the rotational motion and complicated geometry of a squeeze film journal bearing. The frequency of oscillation was in the range of 5 to 50 Hz and was controlled by an electro-magnetic exciter. The process of cavity formation and its subsequent development was recorded by a high-speed video camera. Concomitant pressure in the oil film was measured both within and without the cavitation region. 5Crustal Composition of China Continent Constrained from Heat Flow Data and Helium Isotope Ratio of Underground Fluid显示文摘Based on conservation of energy principle and heat flow data in China continent, the upper limit of 1.3 μW/m3 heat production is obtained for continental crust in China. Furthermore, using the data of heat flow and helium isotope ratio of underground fluid, the heat productions of different tectonic units in China continent are estimated in range of 0.58–1.12 μW/m3 with a median of 0.85 μW/m3. Accordingly, the contents of U, Th and K2O in China crust are in ranges of 0.83–1.76 μg/g, 3.16–6.69 μg/g, and 1.0%–2.12%, respectively. These results indicate that the abundance of radioactive elements in the crust of China continent is much higher than that of Archean crust; and this fact implies China’s continental crust is much evolved in chemical composition. Meanwhile, significant lateral variation of crustal composition is also exhibited among different tectonic units in China continent. The crust of eastern China is much enriched in incompatible elements such as U, Th and K than that of western China; and the crust of orogenic belts is more enriched than that of platform regions. It can also be inferred that the crusts of eastern China and orogenic belts are much felsic than those of western China and platform regions, respectively, derived from the positive correlation between the heat production and SiO2 content of bulk crust. This deduction is consistent with the results derived from the crustal seismic velocity data in China. According to the facts of the lower seismic velocity of China than the average value of global crust, and the higher heat production of China continent compared with global crust composition models published by previous studies, it is deduced that the average composition models of global continent crust by Rudnick and Fountain (1995), Rudnick and Gao (2003), Weaver and Tarney (1984), Shaw et al. 6A review of the synthesis and application of zeolites from coal-based solid wastes显示文摘Zeolite derived from coal-based solid wastes(coal gangue and coal fly ash)can overcome the environmental problems caused by coal-based solid wastes and achieve valuable utilization.In this paper,the physicochemical properties of coal gangue and coal fly ash are introduced.The mechanism and application characteristics of the pretreatment processes for zeolite synthesis from coal-based solid wastes are also introduced.The synthesis processes of coal-based solid waste zeolite and their advantages and disadvantages are summarized.Furthermore,the application characteristics of various coal-based solid waste zeolites and their common application fields are illustrated.Finally,we propose an alkaline fusion-assisted supercritical hydrothermal crystallization as an efficient method for synthesizing coal-based solid waste zeolites.In addition,more attention should be given to the recycling of alkaline waste liquid and the application of coal-based solid waste zeolites in the field of volatile organic compound adsorption removal.Xiaoyu Zhang Chunquan Li Shuilin Zheng Yonghao Di Zhiming Sun 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,1:10
7Hierarchical assembly of highly efficient visible-light-driven Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite photocatalyst for the degradation of ibuprofen显示文摘A novel Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite photocatalyst was fabricated for the first time through a two-step assembly strategy by employing in situ calcination and a photodeposition process.The synthesized Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite composite reached a higher degradation rate of ibuprofen(IBP)with a reaction rate constant of 0.0113 min^(-1) at an Ag content of 7% under visible-light irradiation,which was approximately 1.87 times that of the Ag/g-C_(3)N_(4) composite.Based on the physicochemical properties,the enhanced photocatalytic activity was attributed to the stronger adsorption property,wider photoresponse range and more efficient separation and transfer of electron-hole pairs.Furthermore,the incorporation of monodispersed Ag nanoparticles onto the g-C_(3)N_(4)/kaolinite sheets provided more reactive sites for the IBP degradation.In addition,according to the EPR study and trapping experiments,it was demonstrated that holes(h^(+))should be the key reactive species.A possible pathway of IBP degradation was also proposed based on the detected intermediates.Overall,the results of this work may facilitate the design of a novel visible-light-driven photocatalyst with a high efficiency that is derived from a natural mineral for environmental remediation.Zhiming Sun Xiangwei Zhang Xiongbo Dong Xiaorui Liu Ye Tan Fang Yuan Shuilin Zheng Chunquan Li 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,3:8
8Synthesis of a novel illite@carbon nanocomposite adsorbent for removal of Cr(Ⅵ)from wastewater显示文摘A novel illite@carbon(I@C) nanocomposite adsorbent has been synthesized via a facile hydrothermal carbonization process(HTC) using glucose as carbonaceous source and illite as the carrier.The morphology,microstructure and surface properties of the prepared nanocomposite adsorbent were analyzed by FESEM,TGA,XRD,FT-IR and Zeta potential measurements.Batch experiments were carried out on the adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) to determine the adsorption properties of the composite.The adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) onto the I@C nanocomposite was well described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir isotherm.Compared with the illite and carbon material(SC) separately,the prepared I@C nanocomposite adsorbent exhibited enhanced adsorption performance for Cr(Ⅵ) with a maximum adsorption capacity of 149.25 mg/g,which was higher than that of most reported adsorbents.In addition,the adsorption process was spontaneous and endothermic based on the adsorption thermodynamics study.The adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ) by I@C was highly p H-dependent and the optimum adsorption occurred at p H 2.0.The Zeta potential analysis results indicated that the electrostatic interactions between anionic Cr(Ⅵ) and the positively charged surface of the adsorbent might be critical to the adsorption mechanism.This study demonstrated that the I@C nanocomposite should be a promising candidate for a low-cost,environmental friendly and highly efficient adsorbent for the removal of toxic Cr(Ⅵ) from wastewater.Gaofeng Wang Shan Wang Wen Sun Zhiming Sun Shuilin Zheng 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:7
9Theoretical and numerical research of wire array Z-pinch and dynamic hohlraum at IAPCM显示文摘Dense Z-pinch plasmas are powerful and energy-efficient laboratory sources of X-rays,and show the possibility to drive inertial confinement fusion(ICF).Recent advances in wire-array Z-pinch and Z-pinch dynamic hohlraum(ZPDH)researches at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics are presented in this paper.Models are setup to study different physical processes.A full circuit model(FCM)was used to study the coupling between Z-pinch implosion and generator discharge.A mass injection model with azimuthal modulation was setup to simulate the wire-array plasma initiation,and the two-dimensional MHD code MARED was developed to investigate the Z-pinch implosion,MRT instability,stagnation and radiation.Implosions of nested and quasi-spherical wire arrays were also investigated theoretically and numerically.Key processes of ZPDH,such as the arrayefoam interaction,formation of the hohlraum radiation,as well as the following capsule ablation and implosion,were analyzed with different radiation magneto-hydrodynamics(RMHD)codes.An integrated 2D RMHD simulation of dynamic hohlraum driven capsule implosion provides us the physical insights of wire-array plasma acceleration,shock generation and propagation,hohlraum formation,radiation ablation,and fuel compression.Ning Ding Yang Zhang Delong Xiao Jiming Wu Zihuan Dai Li Yin Zhiming Gao Shunkai Sun Chuang Xue Cheng Ning Xiaojian Shu Jianguo Wang 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,3:7

12Diatomite supported nano zero valent iron with 3D network for peroxymonosulfate activation in efficient degradation of bisphenol A显示文摘Diatomite supported nano zero valent iron(n ZVI)catalyst(NDA)with complex network structure was prepared via a mild reduction precipitation method in this work.The pore structure and pore distribution of NDA can be regulated and controlled through adjusting the loading amount of n ZVI.In general,the nano three-dimensional network formed by n ZVI and diatomite channels greatly increase the specific surface area and pore volume of NDA,and further formed more active sites,which made NDA have better performance in activating PMS to degrade BPA than pure n ZVI.The pseudo-first-order reaction rate constant of 50-NDA(50%-n ZVI/diatomite)is almost 3 times higher than that of pure n ZVI.Besides,the electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)and radical quenching experiments showed that the activation process was dominated by the sulfate radical(SO_(4)^(-))and hydroxyl radical(·OH)produced by Fe;oxidation.The generated electrons promote the self-decomposition of PMS to produce singlet oxygen(^(1)O_(2)),and then the valence state of iron changes to produce free radicals.In addition,the possible degradation pathway of BPA was inferred from the intermediate products identified by liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer(LC-MS).This study provides a novel strategy for the design and preparation of three-dimensional composite catalysts derived from natural mineral.Ye Tan Shuilin Zheng Yonghao Di Chunquan Li Runze Bian Zhiming Sun 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36:4
13First-principle high-throughput calculations of carrier effective masses of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides显示文摘Two-dimensional group-VIB transition metal dichalcogenides(with the formula of MX_2) emerge as a family of intensely investigated semiconductors that are promising for both electronic(because of their reasonable carrier mobility) and optoelectronic(because of their direct band gap at monolayer thickness) applications. Effective mass is a crucial physical quantity determining carriers transport, and thus the performance of these applications. Here we present based on first-principles high-throughput calculations a computational study of carrier effective masses of the two-dimensional MX_2 materials. Both electron and hole effective masses of different MX_2(M = Mo, W and X = S, Se, Te), including in-layer/out-of-layer components, thickness dependence, and magnitude variation in heterostructures, are systemically calculated. 14Monolithic integration of MoS2-based visible detectors and GaN-based UV detectors显示文摘With the increasing demand for high integration and multi-color photodetection for both military and civilian applications, the research of multi-wavelength detectors has become a new research hotspot. However, current research has been mainly in visible dual-or multi-wavelength detectors, while integration of both visible light and ultraviolet(UV) dual-wavelength detectors has rarely been studied. In this work, large-scale and high-quality monolayer MoS2 was grown by the chemical vapor deposition method on transparent free-standing GaN substrate. Monolithic integration of MoS2-based visible detectors and GaN-based UV detectors was demonstrated using common semiconductor fabrication technologies such as photolithography, argon plasma etching, and metal deposition. High performance of a 280 nm and 405 nm dual-wavelength photodetector was realized.The responsivity of the UV detector reached 172.12 A/W, while that of the visible detector reached 17.5 A/W.Meanwhile, both photodetectors achieved high photocurrent gain, high external quantum efficiency, high normalized detection rate, and low noise equivalent power. 16A New Insight into the Influence of Composition of Fault Rocks on Aseismic and Seismic Fault Slip显示文摘Active faults can slip either slowly and continuously by aseismic creep, or abruptly by a seismic event. Both slip modes of faults are closely related to the composition of fault rocks. However, the actual materials resulting in differences of slip behavior remain uncertain. The Guanxian-Anxian fault (GAF) characterized by long-term aseismic creep and the Yingxiu-Beichuan fault (YBF) slipping by large earthquakes in the Longmen Shan fault zone (LSFZ) are ideal examples for exploring the above issues. 17Construction of van der Waals substrates for largely mismatched heteroepitaxy systems using first principles显示文摘The high density of defects induced by large strains in largely mismatched heteroepitaxy systems, such as AlN and GaN, because of the large lattice and thermal mismatch between substrates and epilayers is the bottleneck problem. Graphene-assisted van der Waals(vdW) heteroepitaxy offers a new opportunity to resolve this problem. However, it suffers from the difficulty of nucleation. Here we theoretically assess the effects of five 2D materials for vdW heteroepitaxy of AlN and GaN, including graphene, hBN, MoS2, gC3N, and gC3N4, and provide physical insights using first-principle calculations. MoS2 and gC3N exhibit significant potential to overcome the shortcomings of graphene owing to their appropriate binding strengths and Al(or Ga)diffusion barriers. Moreover, the interface behavior between the epilayers and the substrates are carefully analyzed. 18Quantum engineering of non-equilibrium efficient p-doping in ultra-wide band-gap nitrides显示文摘Ultra-wide band-gap nitrides have huge potential in micro-and optoelectronics due to their tunable wide band-gap,high breakdown field and energy density,excellent chemical and thermal stability.However,their application has been severely hindered by the low p-doping efficiency,which is ascribed to the ultrahigh acceptor activation energy originated from the low valance band maximum.Here,a valance band modulation mode is proposed and a quantum engineering doping method is conducted to achieve high-efficient p-type ultra-wide band-gap nitrides,in which GaN quantum-dots are buried in nitride matrix to produce a new band edge and thus to tune the dopant activation energy.By non-equilibrium doping techniques,quantum engineering doped AIGaN:Mg with Al content of 60%is successfully fabricated.The Mg activation energy has been reduced to about 21 meV,and the hole concentration reaches higher than 10^(18)cm^(-3)at room temperature.Also,similar activation energies are obtained in AIGaN with other Al contents such as 50%and 70%;indicating the universality of the quantum engineering doping method.Moreover,deep-ultraviolet light-emission diodes are fabricated and the improved performance further demonstrates the validity and merit of the method.With the quantum material growth techniques developing,this method would be prevalently available and tremendously stimulate the promotion of ultra-wide band-gap semiconductor-based devices.Ke Jiang Xiaojuan Sun Zhiming Shi Hang Zang Jianwei Ben Hui-Xiong Deng Dabing Li 2021Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,4:3
19Microsatellite DNA analysis proves nucleus of interspecies reconstructed blastocyst coming from that of donor giant panda显示文摘A method for DNA isolation from early development of blastocyst and further analysis of nuclear and mitochondrial DNA was developed in present study. Total DNA was prepared from interspecies reconstructed blastocyst and a giant panda specific microsatellite locus g010 was successfully amplified. DNA sequencing of the PCR product showed that two sequences of reconstructed blastocysts are the same as that of positive control giant panda. 20Polarization-enhanced AlGaN solar-blind ultraviolet detectors显示文摘AlGaN solar-blind ultraviolet detectors have great potential in many fields,although their performance has not fully meet the requirements until now.Here,we proposed an approach to utilize the inherent polarization effect of AlGaN to improve the detector performance.AlGaN heterostructures were designed to enhance the polarization field in the absorption layer,and a high built-in field and a high electron mobility conduction channel were formed.As a result,a high-performance solar-blind ultraviolet detector with a peak responsivity of 1.42 A/W at 10 V was achieved,being 50 times higher than that of the nonpolarization-enhanced one.Moreover,an electron reservoir structure was proposed to further improve the performance.A higher peak responsivity of 3.1 A/W at30 V was achieved because the electron reservoir structure could modulate the electron concentration in the conduction channel.The investigation presented here provided feasible approaches to improve the performance of the AlGaN detector by taking advantage of its inherent property.Ke Jiang Xiaojuan Sun Zi-Hui Zhang Jianwei Ben Jiamang Che Zhiming Shi Yuping Jia Yang Chen Shanli Zhang Wei Lv Dabing Li 2020Photonics Research2020,8,7:3
