| 1 | Terrestrial carbon sinks in China and around the world and their contribution to carbon neutrality显示文摘Enhancing the terrestrial ecosystem carbon sink(referred to as terrestrial C sink) is an important way to slow down the continuous increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) concentration and to achieve carbon neutrality target.To better understand the characteristics of terrestrial C sinks and their contribution to carbon neutrality,this review summarizes major progress in terrestrial C budget researches during the past decades,clarifies spatial patterns and drivers of terrestrial C sources and sinks in China and around the world,and examines the role of terrestrial C sinks in achieving carbon neutrality target.According to recent studies,the global terrestrial C sink has been increasing from a source of (-0.2±0.9) Pg C yr^(-1)(1 Pg=1015g)in the 1960s to a sink of (1.9±1.1) Pg C yr^(-1) in the 2010s.By synthesizing the published data,we estimate terrestrial C sink of 0.20–0.25 Pg C yr^(-1) in China during the past decades,and predict it to be 0.15–0.52 Pg C yr^(-1) by 2060.The terrestrial C sinks are mainly located in the mid-and high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere,while tropical regions act as a weak C sink or source.The C balance differs much among ecosystem types:forest is the major C sink;shrubland,wetland and farmland soil act as C sinks;and whether the grassland functions as C sink or source remains unclear.Desert might be a C sink,but the magnitude and the associated mechanisms are still controversial.Elevated atmospheric CO_(2) concentration,nitrogen deposition,climate change,and land cover change are the main drivers of terrestrial C sinks,while other factors such as fires and aerosols would also affect ecosystem C balance.The driving factors of terrestrial C sink differ among regions.Elevated CO_(2) concentration and climate change are major drivers of the C sinks in North America and Europe,while afforestation and ecological restoration are additionally important forcing factors of terrestrial C sinks in China.For future studies,we recommend the necessity for intensive and long-term ecosystem C monitoring over broad geographic scale to improve terrestrial biosphere models for accurately evaluating terrestrial C budget and its dynamics under various climate change and policy scenarios. | Yuanhe Yang Yue Shi Wenjuan Sun Jinfeng Chang Jianxiao Zhu Leiyi Chen Xin Wang Yanpei Guo Hongtu Zhang Lingfei Yu Shuqing Zhao Kang Xu Jiangling Zhu Haihua Shen Yuanyuan Wang Yunfeng Peng Xia Zhao Xiangping Wang Huifeng Hu Shiping Chen Mei Huang Xuefa Wen Shaopeng Wang Biao Zhu Shuli Niu Zhiyao Tang Lingli Liu Jingyun Fang | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5: | 32 |
| 2 | Near-perfect fidelity polarization-encoded multilayer optical data storage based on aligned gold nanorods显示文摘Encoding information in light polarization is of great importance in facilitating optical data storage(ODS)for information security and data storage capacity escalation.However,despite recent advances in nanophotonic techniques vastly en-hancing the feasibility of applying polarization channels,the data fidelity in reconstructed bits has been constrained by severe crosstalks occurring between varied polarization angles during data recording and reading process,which gravely hindered the utilization of this technique in practice.In this paper,we demonstrate an ultra-low crosstalk polarization-en-coding multilayer ODS technique for high-fidelity data recording and retrieving by utilizing a nanofibre-based nanocom-posite film involving highly aligned gold nanorods(GNRs).With parallelizing the gold nanorods in the recording medium,the information carrier configuration minimizes miswriting and misreading possibilities for information input and output,respectively,compared with its randomly self-assembled counterparts.The enhanced data accuracy has significantly im-proved the bit recall fidelity that is quantified by a correlation coefficient higher than 0.99.It is anticipated that the demon-strated technique can facilitate the development of multiplexing ODS for a greener future. | Linwei Zhu Yaoyu Cao Qiuqun Chen Xu Ouyang Yi Xu Zhongliang Hu Jianrong Qiu Xiangping Li | 2021 | Opto-Electronic Advances2021,4,11: | 9 |

| 4 | Genetic analysis of meio-and mito-gynogenetic stocks of Paralichthys olivaceus with microsatellite markers显示文摘Twenty microsatellite markers (Po1, Po13, Po33, Po35, Po42, Po48, Po56, Po89, Po91, kop6, kop7, kop8, kop12, kop15, kop18, kop21, kop22, kop23, kop26, Po-str1) were used to assess the meiogynogenetic and mitogynogenetic stocks of the left-eyed flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, which were derived from single pair crossing. Twelve of the 20 loci utilized showed heterozygosity in the female and were mapped in relation to their centromeres in the meiogynogenetic diploid flounder. Microsatellite-centromere map distance, calculated under the assumption of complete interference, ranged from 15.8 cM for kop22 to 50 cM for Po13, Po56 and Po89. Excluding the kop22, the heterozygosities of the rest of the loci were close to 100%, suggesting the occurrence of near complete interference on the chromosome arms that carried these loci. In the mitogynogenetic diploid flounder, each individual showed exact homozygousity and the segregation profiles did not deviate from the Mendelian 1∶1 pattern. The results indicated that there was no lethal gene linked with the loci analyzed. Such high interference accounted for the high recombination rates and large map distances. | 5 | Fault Tolerant Design of Large-Scale Digital Beam Forming in SRAM-FPGAs for Software Defined Satellite Platforms显示文摘Large scale digital beamforming(LS-DBFs)are widely used in satellite communications for spectrum reuse and transmission enhancement.SRAM-FPGAs are a popular option for software defined satellite platforms due to their rich computation resources and high flexibility.However,they are sensitive to soft errors,which limit their application in space.This paper discusses the application of coding based fault tolerance schemes for the protection of LS-DBFs on software defined payloads.Since multiple FPGAs are usually needed to support the whole LS-DBFs system,different decomposition schemes are compared in terms of resource efficiency and reliability when the coding based scheme is applied to protect the DBFs on a FPGA.Theoretical analysis and hardware experiments shows that resource efficiency and reliability are a pair of contradictory requirements for decomposition schemes.The protection with vertical decomposition could improve the reliability by 96%with 1.5x redundancy.And the protection with horizontal decomposition could improve the reliability by 85%with 1.2 x redundancy. | Zhen Gao Jinhua Zhu Tong Yan Linghua Guo Xiangping Chen Yinqiao Li Xiaolei Wan | 2020 | China Communications2020,17,7: | 2 |

| 18 | Similarities and Differences of CT Features between COVID-19 Pneumonia and Heart Failure显示文摘Aims:During the COVID-19 epidemic,chest computed tomography(CT)has been highly recommended for screen-ing of patients with suspected COVID-19 because of an unclear contact history,overlapping clinical features,and an overwhelmed health system.However,there has not been a full comparison of CT for diagnosis of heart failure or COVID-19 pneumonia.Methods:Patients with heart failure(n=23)or COVID-19 pneumonia(n=23)and one patient with both diseases were retrospectively enrolled.Clinical information and chest CT images were obtained and analyzed.Results:There was no difference in ground-glass opacity,consolidation,crazy paving pattern,the lobes affected,and septal thickening between heart failure and COVID-19 pneumonia.However,a less rounded morphology(4%vs.70%,P=0.00092),more peribronchovascular thickening(70%vs.35%,P=0.018)and fi ssural thickening(43%vs.4%,P=0.002),and less peripheral distribution(30%vs.87%,P=0.00085)were found in the heart failure group than in the COVID-19 group.Importantly,there were also more patients with upper pulmonary vein enlargement(61%vs.4%,P=0.00087),subpleural effusion(50%vs.0%,P=0.00058),and cardiac enlargement(61%vs.4%,P=0.00075)in the heart failure group than in the COVID-19 group.Besides,more fi brous lesions were found in the COVID-19 group,although there was no statistical difference(22%vs.4%,P=0.080).Conclusions:Although there is some overlap of CT features between heart failure and COVID-19,CT is still a useful tool for differentiating COVID-19 pneumonia. | Zhaowei Zhu Jianjun Tang Xiangping Chai Zhenfei Fang Qiming Liu Xinqun Hu Danyan Xu Jia He Liang Tang Shi Tai Yuzhi Wu Shenghua Zhou | 2021 | Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications2021,,3: | 0 |

| 20 | CTNNAL1 deficiency suppresses CFTR expression in HDM-induced asthma mouse model through ROCK1-CAL signaling pathway显示文摘The downregulation of adhesion molecule catenin alpha-like 1(CTNNAL1)in airway epithelial cells of asthma patients and house dust mite(HDM)-induced asthma animal models was illustrated in our previous study.It is assumed to contribute to airway inflammation and mucus hypersecretion.In this work,we further explore the underlying mechanism of CTNNAL1 in asthma.CTNNAL1-silenced female mice exhibit a decreased level of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator(CFTR),a cAMP-activated and ATP-gated Cl–channel that correlates with mucus hypersecretion.Our previous study demonstrated that ROCK1 expression decreases but ROCK2 expression increases in the lungs of a CTNNAL1-silenced mouse model.Inhibition of ROCK1 leads to a reduction in CFTR expression in CTNNAL1-overexpressing and CTNNAL1-silenced human bronchial epithelial(HBE)cells.It has been reported that ROCK1 is a downstream target of RhoA and that activation of RhoA increases CFTR expression after CTNNAL1 deficiency in vitro and in vivo.The above results indicate that CTNNAL1 regulates CFTR expression through the ROCK1 pathway.In addition,the expression of CFTR-associated ligand(CAL)is increased after CTNNAL1 silencing,and immunoprecipitation results confirm the interaction between ROCK1 and CAL.Inhibition of CAL does not influence ROCK1 expression but increases CFTR expression in CTNNAL1-silenced HBE cells.These data suggest that CTNNAL1 deficiency decreases CFTR expression in the HDM-induced asthma mouse model through the ROCK1-CAL signaling pathway. | Di Wu Jiahui Zhu Fang Yang Riwang Li Lexin Liu Dahai Liu Chi Liu Xiangping Qu Huijun Liu Ming Ji Xiaoqun Qin Lan Hua Yang Xiang | 2023 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,10: | 0 |
