| 6 | Facile Approach for Preparation of Xylan-based Double-network Hydrogels显示文摘In this study,xylan-based double-network(DN)hydrogels(xylanbased DN gels)with excellent mechanical properties were prepared using acrylic acid and acrylamide(AM)based on a DN approach.The first layer network was obtained by grafting and crosslinking polyacrylic acid(PAA)molecular chains onto xylan with ammonium persulfate(APS)as the initiator and N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide(MBA)as the crosslinking agent;this network was subsequently immersed into an aqueous AM monomer in the presence of APS and MBA for the preparation of the second layer network.The results showed that the double networks were crosslinked by covalent bonds and that the mechanical properties of the xylan-based DN gels were enhanced.Thus,the xylan-based DN gels exhibited a maximum compression stress of 24.9 MPa.The xylan-based DN gels could also recover 97%of their original height after 15 repeated compression cycles;this indicates that the xylan-based DN gels possessed high resistance to friction and wear.Therefore,the prepared xylan-based DN gels have considerable potential for tissue engineering applications. | Ziwen Lyu Jun Rao Xianming Qi Ziyi Bai Siyu Jia Zhenhua Su Feng Peng | 2022 | Paper And Biomaterials2022,7,1: | 1 |

| 9 | Asian,regional,and national burdens of respiratory tract cancers and associated risk factors from 1990 to 2019:A systematic analysis for the global burden of disease study 2019显示文摘Background:Respiratory cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide,but its statistics vary between the East and West.This study aimed to estimate the burdens of tracheal,bronchus,and lung(TBL)cancer and larynx cancer and their attributable risks from 1990 to 2019 in Asia,and at regional and national levels.Methods:This research evaluated the incidence,mortality,years lived with disability,years of life lost,and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)for respiratory tract cancers using the Global Burden of Diseases,Injuries,and Risk Factors Study(GBD)2019 database.Age-standardized rates were calculated for TBL cancer from 1990 to 2019,adjusted for smoking and socio-demographic index(SDI).Deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer attributable to each risk factor were estimated for 33 Asian countries.Results:The age-standardized incidence and death rates for TBL cancer in Asia declined from 2010 to 2019,while the incidence rate of larynx cancer increased.Smoking was the leading specific risk factor for deaths from both TBL and larynx cancers.The burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries was influenced by SDI and smoking,particularly among males in Central Asia.Deaths,DALYs,and incidences of larynx cancer in East Asia had not changed significantly over the past 30 years,but showed slight downward trends in males and both sexes combined,and an upward trend in females in recent years.Conclusions:The past decade saw increases in numbers of incident cases and deaths from TBL cancer and larynx cancer in Asia.SDI and smoking were the main factors influencing the disease burden of TBL cancer in Asian countries.This study highlights the need for tailored cancer control programs to address the burden of respiratory tract cancers in different Asian countries. | Ran Zhong Xiuyu Cai Jianfu Li Peiling Chen Runchen Wang Xinting Li Feng Li Shan Xiong Caichen Li Huiting Wang Yang Xiang Shuting Zhan Ziwen Yu Haixuan Wang Chunyan Li Lixuan Lin Wenhai Fu Xin Zheng Shen Zhao Kang Zhang Jianxing He | 2023 | Chinese Medical Journal Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine2023,1,4: | 1 |

| 12 | Occurrence and migration of microplastics and plasticizers in different wastewater and sludge treatment units in municipal wastewater treatment plant显示文摘Microplastics(MPs)and plasticizers,such as phthalate esters(PAEs),were frequently detected in municipal wastewater treatment plants(MWTP).Previous research mainly studied the removal of MPs and PAEs in wastewater.However,the occurrence of MPs and PAEs in the sludge was generally ignored.To comprehensively investigate the occurrence and the migration behaviors of MPs and PAEs in MWTP,a series of representative parameters including the number,size,color,shape of MPs,and the concentrations of PAEs in wastewater and sludge were systematically investigated.In this study,the concentrations of MPs in the influent and effluent were 15.46±0.37 and 0.30±0.14 particles/L.The MP removal efficiency of 98.1%was achieved and about 73.8%of MPs were accumulated in the sludge in the MWTP.The numbers of MPs in the sludge before and after digestion were 4.40±0.14 and 0.31±0.01 particles/g(dry sludge),respectively.Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(ATR FT-IR)analysis showed that the main types of MPs were polyethylene terephthalate(PET),polypropylene(PP),polyethylene(PE),and polystyrene(PS).Six PAEs,including phthalate(DMP),diethyl phthalate(DEP),diisobutyl phthalate(DIBP),ortho dibutyl phthalate(DBP),butyl benzyl phthalate(BBP),and bis(2-ethyl)hexyl phthalate(DEHP),were detected in the MWTP.The concentrations of total PAEs(ΣPAEs)in the influent and effluent were 76.66 and 6.28μg/L,respectively.The concentrations ofΣPAEs in the sludge before and after digestion were 152.64 and 31.70μg/g,respectively.In the process of thermal hydrolysis,the number and size of MPs decreased accompanied by the increase of the plasticizer concentration. | Sen Dong Peng Gao Benhang Li Li Feng Yongze Liu Ziwen Du Liqiu Zhang | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,11: | 0 |
| 13 | Removal efficiencies of natural and synthetic progesterones in hospital wastewater treated by different disinfection processes显示文摘Progesterones are ubiquitous in hospital wastewater(HWW)with concentrations much higher than those of estrogens and androgens.To ensure that these water systems are safe to use,disinfection is crucial during HWW treatment by providing'front line'defense against biological contaminations.Here,five disinfection processes,namely,chlorine(Cl_(2)),chlorine dioxide(ClO_(2)),ozone(O_(3)),ultraviolet(UV)),and UV/chlorine(UV/Cl_(2)),were selected to investigate their removal efficiencies for progesterones in primary filtration and secondary biological treatment effluents.There were 61 natural and synthetic progesterones detected in HWW,with the natural progesterones being the main components with a concentration of 845.51 ng/L and contributing to 75.08%of the total proge-sterones.The primary filtration treatment presented insignificant removal effects on the progesterones,while the secondary biological treatment significantly reduced the progesterone content by biode-gradation.The order of removal efficiencies of total progesterones by different disinfection processes was UV/Cl_(2)>Cl_(2)>O_(3)>ClO_(2)>UV.UV/Cl_(2)showed the highest removal efficiency against progesterones mainly due to the activation of Cl_(2)by ultraviolet(UV)photolysis,which helps open the heterocyclic,aromatic,and phenolic rings,thus accelerating progesterone degradation.In addition,the removal efficiencies of natural progesterones in the five disinfection processes were higher than those of synthetic progesterones(progesterone derivatives,19-nortestosterone derivatives,and 17α-hydroxyprogesterone derivatives). | Jinhui Liang Yuchen Luo Benhang Li Shiqi Liu Liansheng Yang Peng Gao Li Feng Yongze Liu Ziwen Du Liqiu Zhang | 2022 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,10: | 0 |
| 14 | A Randomized Controlled Trial of a Biodegradable Polymer,Microcrystalline Sirolimus-Eluting Stent(MiStent)versus Another Biodegradable Polymer Sirolimus-Eluting Stent(TIVOLI):The DESSOLVE-C Trial显示文摘Objective::Data comparing the outcomes of MiStent(Micell Technologies,Durham,North Carolina,USA)microcrystalline biodegradable polymer(BP)drug-eluting stent(DES)and those of another post-marketing BP-DES,TIVOLI(EssenTech,Beijing,China)are rare.This study sought to compare the angiographic efficacy and clinical outcomes of the microcrystalline BP sirolimus-eluting stent(SES)system MiStent and those of TIVOLI BP-SES.Methods::The DESSOLVE-C trial was a prospective,single-blinded,multicenter,randomized trial(NCT02448524),which randomly assigned patients with de novo coronary lesions to receive MiStent or TIVOLI BP-SES by a 1:1 ratio.The primary endpoint was a non-inferiority comparison of in-stent late lumen loss(LLL)by quantitative coronary angiography at 9 months.The secondary endpoint was device-related clinical cardiovascular composite events(target lesion failure(TLF),composite of cardiac death,target vessel myocardial infarction(MI),and clinically driven target lesion revascularization)and 1-year outcomes.Results::A total of 428 patients(216 patients in the MiStent group and 212 patients in the TIVOLI group)were enrolled and included in an intention-to-treat analysis.MiStent was not only non-inferior but superior to TIVOLI for in-stent LLL at 9 months((0.23±0.37)mm vs.(0.34±0.48)mm,P for non-inferiority<0.001,P for superiority=0.02).Although without significant difference,the rate of TLF in MiStent was quantitatively lower than that in TIVOLI(3.70%vs.6.60%;P=0.17).Conclusion::Compared with TIVOLI BP-SES,the MiStent system was superior in in-stent LLL at 9 months and had a comparable clinical benefit at 1 year in de novo coronary lesions. | Bin Wang Sicong Ma Zhiyong Wang Li Zhang Hanjun Pei Yang Zheng Yuejin Yang Zheng Zhang Xinqun Hu Ziwen Ren Feng Zhang Changqian Wang Renqiang Yang Zhiming Yang Yuexi Wang Guosheng Fu Yu Cao Zuyi Yuan Kai Xu Xin Zhao Bo Xu Miaohan Qiu Quanmin Jing | 2023 | Cardiology Discovery2023,3,1: | 0 |
| 15 | Two decades of suspect evidence for adaptive molecular evolution——negative selection confounding positive-selection signals显示文摘There has been a large literature in the last two decades affirming adaptive DNA sequence evolution between species.The main lines of evidence are from(i)the McDonald-Kreitman(MK)test,which compares divergence and polymorphism data,and(ii)the phylogenetic analysis by maximum likelihood(PAML)test,which analyzes multispecies divergence data.Here,we apply these two tests concurrently to genomic data of Drosophila and Arabidopsis.To our surprise,the>100 genes identified by the two tests do not overlap beyond random expectation.Because the non-concordance could be due to low powers leading to high false negatives,we merge every 20-30 genes into a’supergene’.At the supergene level,the power of detection is large but the calls still do not overlap.We rule out methodological reasons for the non-concordance.In particular,extensive simulations fail to find scenarios whereby positive selection can only be detected by either MK or PAML,but not both.Since molecular evolution is governed by positive and negative selection concurrently,a fundamental assumption for estimating one of these(say,positive selection)is that the other is constant.However,in a broad survey of primates,birds,Drosophila and Arabidopsis,we found that negative selection rarely stays constant for long in evolution.As a consequence,the variation in negative selection is often misconstrued as a signal of positive selection.In conclusion,MK,PAML and any method that examines genomic sequence evolution has to explicitly address the variation in negative selection before estimating positive selection.In a companion study,we propose a possible path forward in two stages—first,by mapping out the changes in negative selection and then using this map to estimate positive selection.For now,the large literature on positive selection between specieshas to await reassessment. | Qipian Chen Hao Yang Xiao Feng Qingjian Chen Suhua Shi Chung-Ⅰ Wu Ziwen He | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,5: | 0 |

| 17 | Sympatric or micro-allopatric speciation in a glacial lake?Genomic islands support neither显示文摘Apparent cases of sympatric speciation may actually be due to micro-allopatric or micro-parapatric speciation.One way to distinguish between these models is to examine the existence and nature of genomic islands of divergence,wherein divergent DNA segments are interspersed with low-divergence segments.Such islands should be rare or absent under micro-allopatric speciation but common in cases of speciation with gene flow.Sympatric divergence of endemic fishes is known from isolated saline,crater,postglacial,and ancient lakes.Two morphologically distinct cyprinid fishes,Gymnocypris eckloni scoliostomus(GS)and G.eckloni eckloni(GE),in a small glacial lake on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Lake Sunmcuo,match the biogeographic criteria of sympatric speciation.In this study,we examined genome-wide variation in 46individuals from these two groups.The divergence time between the GS and GE lineages was estimated to be 20-60 Kya.We identified 54 large genomic islands(≥100 kb)of speciation,which accounted for 89.4%of the total length of all genomic islands.These islands harboured divergent genes related to olfactory receptors and olfaction signals that may play important roles in food selection and assortative mating in fishes.Although the genomic islands clearly indicated speciation with gene flow and rejected micro-allopatric speciation,they were too large to support the hypothesis of sympatric speciation.Theoretical and recent empirical studies suggested that continual gene flow in sympatry should give rise to many small genomic islands(as small as a few kilobases in size).Thus,the observed pattern is consistent with the extensive evidence on parapatric speciation,in which adjacent habitats facilitate divergent selection but also permit gene flow during speciation.We suggest that many,if not most,of the reported cases of sympatric speciation are likely to be micro-parapatric speciation. | Ning Sun Liandong Yang Fei Tian Honghui Zeng Ziwen He Kai Zhao Cheng Wang Minghui Meng Chenguang Feng Chengchi Fang Wenqi Lv Jing Bo Yongtao Tang Xiaoni Gan Zuogang Peng Yiyu Chen Shunping He | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,12: | 0 |
| 18 | Effect of allelochemicals sustained-release microspheres on the ingestion, incorporation, and digestion abilities of Daphnia magna Straus显示文摘Allelochemicals sustained-release microspheres(ACs-SMs)exhibited great inhibition effect on algae,however,few studies have focused on ACs-SMs toxicity on invertebrate.In this study,the effects of single high-concentration ACs(15 mg/L,SH-ACs),repeated lowconcentration ACs(3×5 mg/L,RL-ACs)and ACs-SMs containing 15 mg/L ACs exposure on the ingestion,incorporation,and digestion of Daphniamagna Straus(DS)were investigated by stable isotope 15N labeling method.Meanwhile,the diversity and abundance of microflora in DS guts were determined by 16S rRNA genes and cloning methods.The results showed that SH-ACs exposure caused 50%and 33.3%death rates for newborn and adult DS,while RL-ACs exposure caused 10%death rate for newborn DS and no obvious effect on the activity of adult DS.And ACs-SMs exposure did not diminish the motility of both newborn and adult DS,indicating the lower acute toxicity of ACs-SMs.Furthermore,SH-ACs inhibited the ingestion(-6.45%),incorporation(-47.1%)and digestion(-53.8%)abilities of DS and reduced the microbial abundance(-27.7%)in DS guts.Compared with SH-ACs,RL-ACs showed relatively low impact on the ingestion(-3.23%),incorporation(-5.89%)and digestion(-23.9%)abilities of DS.Interestingly,ACs-SMs enhanced the ingestion(+9.68%),incorporation(+52.9%)and digestion(+51.3%)abilities of DS and increased the microbial abundance(+10.7%)in DS guts.Overall ACs and ACs-SMs reduced the diversity of microflora in DS guts.In conclusion,ACs-SMs can release ACs sustainably and prolong the sustained release time,which not only effectively reduce the toxicity of ACs,but also had positive effects on DS. | Benhang Li Yijun Yin Xiaohong Zhou Li Feng Yongze Liu Ziwen Du Yajun Tian Liqiu Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,2: | 0 |

| 20 | Hydrogen-bonded organic framework for red light-mediated photocatalysis显示文摘The development of heterogeneous molecule-based catalysts for red light-mediated photocatalysis is still challenging due to the improper light absorption for most materials and the photoactivity deactivation for solid assembly.Herein,red light photocatalysis with a hydrogen-bonded organic framework(HOF)is established.This HOF,named HOF-66,is formed from the self-assembly of guanine-decorated naphthalenediimide(NDI)molecule through hydrogen-bonded guanine-quadruplex nodes,showing square grid supramolecular layers confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction analysis.In contrast to unsubstituted NDI HOF,introduction of ethylamino groups to NDI core in HOF-66 tunes strong electronic maximum absorption peak to 619 nm,allowing red light photocatalysis of singlet oxygen evolution proved by 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran degradation and electron spin resonance determination.Particularly,under the same conditions,the sulfide oxidation rate in the presence of HOF-66 was 28 times higher compared to its unsubstituted analogue.This work integrates the molecular design and aggregation effect towards the application of HOFs,opening a new gate for red light photocatalysts. | Haofei Zhao Ziwen Zhou Xuenan Feng Chao Liu Hui Wu Wei Zhou Hailong Wang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
