| 1 | Numerical study of regional environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry farming based on planting-breeding balance显示文摘In consideration of the need to maintain planting-breeding balance, this article examines the capacity of the soil in Putian City, Fujian Province to absorb livestock and poultry excreta, and computes the environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry farming (ECCLPF) in each district of the city in terms of the fertility characteristics of the soil in the city, as well as its mix of crops cultivated and farming methods. On the basis of the computations, this work proceeds to classify the alarm grades of the city's environmental carrying capacity for livestock and poultry framing, and assess the environmental impact of the livestock and poultry farming industry. The results of our study indicate that, the city's ECCLPF ranges from 8.27 to 23.23 heads per ha when computed on the basis of nitrogen, and from 5.79 to 24.53 heads per ha when computed on the basis of phosphorus. A comparison between our research findings and the existing farming scale in Putian reveals that, in certain parts of the city, ECCLPF is overburdened to varying degrees. Specifically, Chengxiang District is severely overburdened, Hanjiang District and Meizhou Island have a level of overburdening between virtual overburdening and significant overburdening, Licheng District is virtually overburdened, and Xiuyu, Xianyou, and Bei'an Districts have not exceeded their environmental carrying capacity and therefore have varying levels of potential for growth. | Lihong Peng Yu Bai | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,9: | 20 |
| 2 | Tracing the first hematopoietic stem cell generation in human embryo by single-cell RNA sequencing显示文摘Tracing the emergence of the first hematopoietic stem cells(HSCs)in human embryos,particularly the scarce and transient precursors thereof,is so far challenging,largely due to the technical limitations and the material rarity.Here,using single-cell RNA sequencing,we constructed the first genome-scale gene expression landscape covering the entire course of endothelial-to-HSC transition during human embryogenesis.The transcriptomically defined HSC-primed hemogenic endothelial cells(HECs)were captured at Carnegie stage(CS)12-14 in an unbiased way,showing an unambiguous feature of arterial endothelial cells(ECs)with the up-regulation of RUNX1,MYB and ANGPTL Importantly,subcategorizing CD34+CD45-ECs into a CD44+population strikingly enriched HECs by over 10-fold.We further mapped the developmental path from arterial ECs via HSC-primed HECs to hematopoietic stem progenitor cells,and revealed a distinct expression pattern of genes that were transiently over-represented upon the hemogenic fate choice of arterial ECs#including EMCN,PROCR and RUNX1T1.We also uncovered another temporally and molecularly distinct intra-embryonic HEC population,which was detected mainly at earlier CS 10 and lacked the arterial feature.Finally,we revealed the cellular components of the putative aortic niche and potential cellular interactions acting on the HSCprimed HECs.The cellular and molecular programs that underlie the generation of the first HSCs from HECs in human embryos,together with the ability to distinguish the HSC-primed HECs from others,will shed light on the strategies for the production of clinically useful HSCs from pluripotent stem cells. | Yang Zeng Jian He Zhijie Bai Zongcheng Li Yandong Gong Chen Liu Yanli Ni Junjie Du Chunyu Ma Lihong Bian Yu Lan Bing Liu | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,11: | 14 |
| 3 | Emission factors of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from domestic coal combustion in China显示文摘Domestic coal stove is widely used in China, especially for countryside during heating period of winter, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) are important in flue gas of the stove. By using dilution tunnel system, samples of both gaseous and particulate phases from domestic coal combustion were collected and 18 PAH species were analyzed by GC-MS. The average emission factors of total 18 PAH species was 171.73 mg/kg, ranging from 140.75 to 229.11 mg/kg for bituminous coals, while was 93.98 mg/kg, ranging from 58.48 to 129.47 mg/kg for anthracite coals. PAHs in gaseous phases occupied 95% of the total of PAHs emission of coal combustion. In particulate phase, 3-ring and 4-ring PAHs were the main components, accounting for 80% of the total particulate PAHs. The total toxicity potency evaluated by benzo[a]pyrene-equivalent carcinogenic power, sum of 7 carcinogenic PAH components and 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzodioxin had a similar tendency. And as a result, the toxic potential of bituminous coal was higher than that of anthracite coal. | 12 | Efficacy evaluation and mechanism of Bacillus subtilis EBS03 against cotton Verticillium wilt显示文摘Background:In our previous study,a strain EBS03 with good biocontrol potential was screened out of 48 strains of cotton endophyte Bacillus subtilis by evaluating the controlling effect against cotton Verticillium wilt.However,its mechanism for controlling Verticillium wilt remains unclear.The objective of this study was to further clarify its con-trolling effect and mechanism against cotton Verticillium wilt.Results:The results of confrontation culture test and double buckle culture test showed that the inhibitory effects of EBS03 volatile and nonvolatile metabolite on mycelium growth of Verticillium dahliae were 70.03%and 59.00%,respectively;the inhibitory effects of sporulation and microsclerotia germination were 47.16%and 70.06%,respec-tively.In the greenhouse test,the EBS03 fermentation broth root irrigation had the highest controlling effect at 87.11%on cotton Verticillium wilt,and significantly promoted the growth of cotton seedlings.In the field experi-ment,the controlling effect of EBS03 fermentation broth to cotton Verticillium wilt was 42.54%at 60 days after cotton sowing,and the boll number per plant and boll weight in EBS03 fermentation broth seed soaking,root irrigation,and spraying treatments significantly increased by 19.48%and 7.42%,30.90%and 2.62%,15.99%and 9.20%,respec-tively.Furthermore,EBS03 improved the resistance of cotton leaves against the infection of V.dahliae,and induced the outbreak of reactive oxygen species and accumulation of callose.In addition,the results of real time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)detection showed that EBS03 significantly induced upregulation expression level of defense-related genes PAL,POD,PPO,and PR10 in cotton leaves,enhanced cotton plant resistance to V.dahliae,and inhibited colonization level of this fungal pathogen in cotton.Conclusion:Bacillus subtilis EBS03 has a good biological defense capability,which can inhibit the growth and coloni-zation level of V.dahliae,and activate the resistance of cotton to Verticillium wilt,thus increase cotton yield. | BAI Hongyan FENG Zili ZHAO Lihong FENG Hongjie WEI Feng ZHOU Jinglong GU Aixing ZHU Heqin PENG Jun ZHANG Yalin | 2022 | Journal of Cotton Research2022,5,4: | 1 |

However, the use of blinded sample size reassessment for survival data has been rarely reported. Based on the density function of the exponential distribution, an expectation-maximization(EM) algorithm of the hazard ratio was derived, and several simulation studies were used to verify its applications. The method had obvious variation in the hazard ratio estimates and overestimation for the relatively small hazard ratios. Our studies showed that the stability of the EM estimation results directly correlated with the sample size, the convergence of the EM algorithm was impacted by the initial values, and a balanced design produced the best estimates. [Result] Among meteorological factors,precipitation, humidity,temperature and sunshine hours could obviously affect the first flowering date of O. fragrans,especially humidity in August,temperature and sunshine hours in September. The forecast model could exactly forecast the first flowering date in the partial early or too late year,and the average error of date was 6 days. The factors influencing the first flowering date of O. fragrans are complex,and there is an artificial error in record data of the flowering stage,so using a single model to forecast the first flowering date have some disadvantages. When forecasting the first flowering date,we should consider all influencing factors to get a good forecast result.
