2Effect of particle inertia on temperature statistics in particle-laden homogeneous isotropic turbulence显示文摘The fluid temperature statistics along particle trajectories is crucial to under- stand the mechanisms of turbulent non-isothermal or reactive fluid-particle flow, especially for the Lagrangian model of non-isothermal particle-laden turbulent flow. In the present study, direct numerical simulations were utilized to generate temperature field statistics in particle-laden incompressible stationary homogeneous isotropic turbulent flows, which is focused on the effect of particle response time on the Lagrangian statistics of the particle and the fluid temperature seen by particles. It shows that, for the particles with τp/τk < 1, the ratio of the fluid intensity seen by particle to fluid temperature intensities deceased as τp/τk increased; while for larger particles (τp/τk > 1), the trend is inversed. For small parti- cles (τp/τk<5), the Lagrangian autocorrelation coefficient of the particle temperature RpT decreases as the particle inertia (τp/τk) increases. The trend is reversed for larger particles. The autocorrelation of fluid temperature along the particle path, RpfT, decreased as the particle inertia increased. And as the particle inertia increased, the autocorrelation coeffi- cient of the fluid temperature seen by particle decreased more rapidly than that of the particle temperature. The mean temperature gradient contributes to the correlation be- tween the particles velocity component and temperature fluctuations in the direction of the gradient. 3New insights into hepatitis B virus biology and implications for novel antiviral strategies显示文摘Hepatitis B virus(HBV), a small DNA virus with a unique replication mode, can cause chronic hepatitis(CHB), which is characterized by the persistence of the viral covalently closed circular DNA that serves as the template for HBV replication and the production of large amounts of secreted HBV surface antigen(HBs Ag) that is present in excess of the levels of infectious virus. Despite the success of currently approved antiviral treatments for CHB patients, including interferon and nucleotide analogs, which suppress HBV replication and reduce the risk of CHB-related liver diseases, these therapies fail to eradicate the virus in most of the patients. With the development of the cell and animal models for HBV study, a beter understanding of the HBV life cycle has been achieved and a series of novel antiviral strategies that target diferent stages of HBV replication have been designed to overcome the viral factors that contribute to HBV persistence. 4Experimental investigation of ash deposits on convection heating surfaces of a circulating fluidized bed municipal solid waste incinerator显示文摘Incineration of municipal solid waste(MSW) is a waste treatment method which can be sustainable in terms of waste volume reduction, as well as a source of renewable energy.During MSW combustion, increased formation of deposits on convection heating exchanger surfaces can pose severe operational problems, such as fouling, slagging and corrosion.These problems can cause lower heat transfer efficiency from the hot flue gas to the working fluid inside the tubes. A study was performed where experiments were carried out to examine the ash deposition characteristics in a full-scale MSW circulating fluidized bed(CFB) incinerator, using a newly designed deposit probe that was fitted with six thermocouples and four removable half rings. The influence of probe exposure time and probe surface temperature(500, 560, and 700℃) on ash deposit formation rate was investigated. The results indicate that the deposition mass and collection efficiency achieve a minimum at the probe surface temperature of 560℃. Ash particles are deposited on both the windward and leeward sides of the probe by impacting and thermophoretic/condensation behavior. The major inorganic elements present in the ash deposits are Ca,Al and Si. Compared to ash deposits formed on the leeward side of the probe,windward-side ash deposits contain relatively higher Ca and S concentrations, but lower levels of Al and Si. Among all cases at different surface temperatures, the differences in elemental composition of the ash deposits from the leeward side are insignificant.However, as the surface temperature increases, the concentrations of Al, Si, K and Na in the windward-side ash deposits increase, but the Ca concentration is reduced. 7Lineage tracing reveals the origin of Nestin-positive cells are heterogeneous and rarely from ependymal cells after spinal cord injury显示文摘Nestin is expressed extensively in neural stem/progenitor cells during neural development, but its expression is mainly restricted to the ependymal cells in the adult spinal cord. After spinal cord injury(SCI), Nestin expression is reactivated and Nestinpositive(Nestin;) cells aggregate at the injury site. However, the derivation of Nestin;cells is not clearly defined. Here, we found that Nestin expression was substantially increased in the lesion edge and lesion core after SCI. Using a tamoxifen inducible CreER(T2)-loxP system, we verified that ependymal cells contribute few Nestin;cells either to the lesion core or the lesion edge after SCI. In the lesion edge, GFAP+astrocytes were the main cell type that expressed Nestin;they then formed an astrocyte scar.In the lesion core, Nestin;cells expressed αSMA or Desmin, indicating that they might be derived from pericytes. 8CircRNA.0007127 triggers apoptosis through the miR-513a-5p/CASP8 axis in K-562 cells显示文摘Background:Circular RNAs(circR NAs)are covalently closed single-stranded RNAs with multiple biological functions.CircRNA.0007127 is derived from the carbon catabolite repression 4-negative on TATA-less(CCR4-NOT)complex subunit2(CNOT2),which was found to regulate tumor cell apoptosis through caspase pathway.Methods:Potential circR NA.0007127 target microRNAs(miRNAs)were analyzed by miRanda,TargetScan,and RNAhybrid software,and the miRNAs with binding sites for apoptosis-related genes were screened.The roles of circR NA.0007127 and its downstream target,microR NA(miR)-513a-5p,were validated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qPCR),flow cytometry,mitochondrial membrane potential,immunofluorescence,western blot,and caspase-8(CASP8)protein activity in vitro in HO-induced K-562 cells.The circRNA.0007127-miR-513a-5p and CASP8-miR-513a-5p interactions were verified by luciferase reporter assays.Results:Silencing circRNA.0007127 decreased cell apoptosis by inhibiting CASP8 pathway activation in K-562 cells.Compared with the control group,the expression of CASP8 was reduced by 50%and the 43-kD fragment of CASP8 protein was significantly reduced(P≤0.05).The luciferase reporting assay showed that circRNA.0007127 combined with miR-513a-5p or CASP8,with extremely significant differences(P≤0.001).The overexpression of miR-513a-5p inhibited the gene expression level of CASP8in a human myeloid leukemia cell model(75%change)and the level of a 43-kD fragment of CASP8 protein(P small-interfering RNA(siRNA)and the miR-≤0.01).The rescue experiment showed that cotransfection with circRNA.0007127513a-5p inhibitor increased CASP8 gene expression and the apoptosis rate,suggesting that the miR-513a-5p inhibitor is a circRNA.0007127siRNA antagonist.Conclusions:CircRNA.0007127 regulates K-562 cell apoptosis through the miR-513a-5p/CASP8 axis,which can serve as a novel powerful molecular target for K-562 cells.Xiajing LI Yiyu ZHANG Ning WANG Zhaohu YUAN Xiaojie CHEN Qicong CHEN Hui DENG Xinxin TONG Honglin CHEN Yuyou DUAN Yaming WEI 2022Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2022,23,9:1

11Ultrafine Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles embedded within nitrogen-doped carbon from Zr-MOFs-confined conversion for efficient oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Improvement of the low-cost transition metal electrocatalyst used in sluggish oxygen evolution reaction is a significant but challenging problem. In this study, ultrafine Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles embedded in a porous Ni-doped carbon matrix were produced by the pyrolysis of zirconium metal–organic–frameworks, in which 2,2′-bipyridine-5,5′-dicarboxylate operating as a ligand can coordinate with Ni^(2+) and Fe^(3+). This strategy allows formation of Fe-modulated Ni nanoparticles with a uniform dimension of about 2 nm which can be ascribed to the spatial blocking effect of ZrO_(2). This unique catalyst displays an efficient oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalytic activity with a low overpotential of 372 mV at 10 mA·cm^(–2) and a small Tafel slope of 84.4 mV·dec^(–1) in alkaline media. More importantly, it shows superior durability and structural stability after 43 h in a chronoamperometry test. Meanwhile, it shows excellent cycling stability during 4000 cyclic voltammetry cycles. 13Optimal exercise intensity and volume to impact rats with Traditional Chinese Medicine phlegm-dampness constitution显示文摘Objective:We aim to investigate the effects of different exercise intensities and volumes on Phlegm-dampness constitution(PDC).Methods:The rats were fed with high-fat food and lived in 75%–85%humidity for 6 weeks to establish the model of PDC.Then PDC rats were screened and intervened by varying exercise intensities for 8 weeks.Weight,constitution scores,blood and liver tissues were collected to detect the concentration of serum total cholesterol(Tch),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),homocysteine(Hcy),blood glucose(GLU),alanine transaminase(ALT)and percentage of lipid droplet area in liver tissue(PLDA).Results:The weight,Tch,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C,Hcy,GLU,and ALT of rats in moderate-intensity exercise group returned to normal.The rats with high-intensity or low-intensity exercise did not recover as well as moderate-intensity.Conclusion:Different exercise intensities and volumes have different effects on PDC,moderate-intensity exercise over an 8-week intervention is most appropriate.Zhangmeng Xu Yong Chen Duoduo Yu Donghong Feng Chenjian Tang Tao Li Jing Zhou Yaming Yu 2021Sports Medicine and Health Science2021,3,1:1

15Positron emission tomography detector performance with different crystal pitches显示文摘Aims:In this work,we evaluated the performance of three pitches positron emission tomography(PET)detectors for building a high-resolution small-animal PET imaging experimental platform.Methods:The evaluation of PET detectors includes twodimensional crystal identification,energy resolution,and crystal look-up table.The nuclear instrumentation module and PXI data acquisition(DAQ)system were both used to obtain flood images.The energy spectrum of the Na-22 source was measured.PET detectors of 2.0 and 1.6 mm pitches used in our present experiment were composed of lutetium yttrium oxyorthosilicate(LYSO)crystals directly coupled to position-sensitive photomultiplier tubes(PSPMTs).The 1.3-mm pitch detector comprises a LYSO crystal,a tapered light-guide,and a PSPMT.The crystal sizes of the detectors were a 10×10 array of 2.0×2.0×10 mm^(3) crystals,a 10×10 array of 1.6×1.6×10 mm^(3) crystals,and an 18×18 array of 1.3×1.3×10 mm^(3) crystals,respectively.Due to the lower sampling frequency of the DAQ system,a spline interpolation algorithm was introduced in the signal waveform to reconstruct the peak values.Results:The experimental results indicated that all three PET detector crystals could be clearly identified.A detailed analysis demonstrated that the key characteristic full width at half maximum(FWHM)values of the crystals profile could reach 0.46±0.03,0.32±0.03,and 0.21±0.02 mm,while the crystal average energy resolutions were 16.8%±1.76%,20.1%±2.24%,and 31.5%±3.76%,which correspond to pitches of 2.0-,1.6-,and 1.3-mm,respectively.Conclusions:The PET detector modules of LYSO crystal arrays could be potentially used in the small-animal PET imaging applications and are promising to achieve submillimeter PET images.LinGe Tong YaMing Fan Ming Dong Liang Zhao ZhongXing Li YingGuo Li TianQuan Wang YongZhi Yin XiMeng Chen 2017Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2017,1,2:1

18A Lifting Method for Krause's Consensus Model显示文摘In this work,we aim to show how to solve the continuous-time and continuous-space Krause model by using high-order finite difference(FD)schemes.Since the considered model admits solutions withδ-singularities,the FD method cannot be applied directly.To deal with the annoyingδ-singulariti-es,we propose to lift the solution space by introducing a spltting method,such that theδ-singularities in one spatial direction become step functions with dis-continuities.Thus the traditional shock-capturing FD schemes can be applied directly.In particular,we focus on the two dimensional case and apply a fifth-order weighted nonlinear compact scheme(WCNS)to ilustrate the validity of the proposed method.Some technical details for implementation are also presented.Numerical results show that the proposed method can captureδ-singularities well,and the obtained number of delta peaks agrees with the the-oretical prediction in the literature.Ningbo Guo Yaming Chen Xiaogang Deng 2022Communications in Mathematical Research2022,38,1:1
