1Heavy mineral assemblage characteristics and the Cenozoic paleogeographic evolution in southwestern Qaidam Basin显示文摘Based on the analysis of heavy mineral assemblages in Cenozoic southwestern Qaidam Basin, we found that different areas have variable heavy mineral assemblage characteristics, which suggested that there were two source areas—the Altyn Mountains and the Qimen Tagh-East Kunlun Mountains. In Ganchaigou-Shizigou-Huatugou(Area A), which was mainly source from the Altyn Mountains, its heavy minerals were mainly composed of zircon, Ti-oxides, and wollastonite in the Paleoceneearly Eocene and mainly of unstable minerals, especially amphibole, in the middle Eocene-Oligene. Since the late OligoceneMiocene, the heavy minerals were still mainly unstable minerals, but the content of epidote increased and the content of amphibole decreased. In Qigequan-Hongliuquan(Area B), which was the mixed source from the Altyn Mountains and the Qimen Tagh-East Kunlun Mountains, its heavy minerals were mainly garnet, epidote, and amphibole. The source of LücaotanDongchaishan-Kunbei(Area C) was mainly from the Qimen Tagh-East Kunlun Mountains, heavy minerals in the sediments in Area C were mainly zircon and Ti-oxides in Paleogene and garnet, epidote, and amphibole in Neogene. In Yuejin-Youshashan(Area D), where the stable minerals and unstable minerals were present simultaneously, the heavy mineral assemblages was controlled by multi-direction source. The variation of heavy mineral assemblages in southwestern Qaidam Basin shows that Altyn Mountains was of low-lying topographic relief in Paleocene-early Eocene, and the rapid uplift of Altyn Mountains started from the middle Eocene. In Paleogene, the Altyn Tagh Fault had a slow strike-slip velocity, but the strike-slip velocity increased greatly since the late Oligocene, leading to a strike-slip displacement above 300 km since Neogene. 2PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling orchestrates the phenotypic transition and chemo-resistance of small cell lung cancer显示文摘Small cell lung cancer(SCLC)is a phenotypically heterogeneous disease with an extremely poor prognosis,which is mainly attributed to the rapid development of resistance to chemotherapy.However,the relation between the growth phenotypes and chemo-resistance of SCLC remains largely unclear.Through comprehensive bioinformatic analyses,we found that the heterogeneity of SCLC phenotype was significantly associated with different sensitivity to chemotherapy.Adherent or semiadherent SCLC cells were enriched with activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway and were highly chemoresistant.Mechanistically,activation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway promotes the phenotypic transition from suspension to adhesion growth pattern and confers SCLC cells with chemo-resistance.Such chemo-resistance could be largely overcome by combining chemotherapy with PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway inhibitors.Our findings support that the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway plays an important role in SCLC phenotype transition and chemo-resistance,which holds important clinical implications for improving SCLC treatment.Xuefeng Li Cheng Li Chenchen Guo Qiqi Zhao Jiayu Cao Hsin-Yi Huang Meiting Yue Yun Xue Yujuan Jin Liang Hu Hongbin Ji 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,7:5
3Prevalence and Phylogenetic Analysis of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus in Ticks from Different Ecosystems in Xinjiang,China显示文摘The Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus(CCHFV),a member of the genus Orthonairovirus and family Nairoviridae,is transmitted by ticks and causes severe hemorrhagic disease in humans.To study the epidemiology of CCHFV in different ecosystems in Xinjiang,China,a total of 58,932 ticks were collected from Tarim Basin,Junggar Basin,Tianshan Mountain,and Altai Mountain from 2014 to 2017.Hyalomma asiaticum asiaticum was the dominant tick species in Tarim and Junggar basins,whereas Dermacentor nuttalli and Hyalomma detritum were found in Tianshan Mountain and Altai Mountain,respectively.Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction of the CCHFV small(S)genome segment was used for the molecular detection.The CCHFV-positive percentage was 5.26%,6.85%,1.94%,and 5.56% in Tarim Basin,Junggar Basin,Tianshan Mountain,and Altai Mountain,respectively.Sequences of the S segment were used for phylogenetic analysis and the results showed that the newly identified CCHFV strains belonged to two clades.Our study confirms that H.asiaticum asiaticum is the major vector of CCHFV in desert habitats which is consistent with previous studies,and also suggests that H.detritum and D.nuttalli are emerging vectors for CCHFV in Xinjiang.Moreover,this study reports the presence of CCHFV in the mountain habitat of Xinjiang for the first time,suggesting that future surveillance of CCHFV should also include mountainous areas.Abulimiti Moming Xihong Yue Shu Shen Chenchen Chang Cheng Wang Tao Luo Yanfang Zhang Rong Guo Zhihong Hu Yujiang Zhang Fei Deng Surong Sun 2018Virologica Sinica2018,33,1:5
4Influence of the symmetry energy on the balance energy of the directed flow显示文摘The influence of the density-dependent symmetry energy on the balance energy (E bal) of directed flow from heavy ion collisions (HICs) at incident energies covered by INDRA and MSU experiments is studied,using the updated version of the ultrarelativistic quantum molecular dynamics (UrQMD) model,especially adapted to low-energy heavy ion collisions (HICs).Four mass-symmetric reactions with total mass numbers between 192 and 394 are chosen for investigating the influence of the symmetry energy on the system-mass dependence of E bal.The results show that the uncertainty in the density dependence of the symmetry potential causes changes of E bal of the order of several MeV,depending on the type of particle considered.The E bal of neutrons from HICs is particularly sensitive to the density dependence of the symmetry potential energy,while the system-mass dependence of E bal of Z=1 particles is not.GUO ChenChen WANG YongJia LI QingFeng TRAUTMANN W LIU Ling WU LiJuan 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,2:4
5The effect of symmetry potential on the balance energy of light particles emitted from mass symmetric heavy-ion collisions with isotopes,isobars and isotones显示文摘Using the Ultrarelativistic Quantum Molecular Dynamics(UrQMD) model,the balance energies of free neutrons,free protons and Z=1 particles(including free protons,deuterons and tritons) from mass symmetric heavy-ion collisions with isotopes,isobars and isotones are studied.The influence of nuclear symmetry potential energy on the balance energy is emphasized.It is found that the balance energy of free neutrons is sensitive to the nuclear symmetry energy,while that of free protons is not.Particularly,the initial neutron/proton ratio dependence of the balance energy of free neutrons from Sn isotopes can be taken as a useful probe to constrain the stiffness of the nuclear symmetry energy.WANG YongJia GUO ChenChen LI QingFeng ZHANG HongFei 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,12:4
6Runxl protects against the pathological progression of osteoarthritis显示文摘Runt-related transcription factor-1(Runxl)is required for chondrocyte-to-osteoblast lineage commitment by enhancing both chondrogenesis and osteogenesis during vertebrate development.However,the potential role of Runxl in joint diseases is not well known.In the current study,we aimed to explore the role of Runxl in osteoarthritis induced by anterior cruciate ligament transaction(ACLT)surgery.We showed that chondrocyte-specific Runxl knockout(Runx1f/fCol2a1-Cre)aggravated cartilage destruction by accelerating the loss of proteoglycan and collagen II in early osteoarthritis.Moreover,we observed thinning and ossification of the growth plate,a decrease in chondrocyte proliferative capacity and the loss of bone matrix around the growth plate in late osteoarthritis.We overexpressed Runxl by adeno-associated virus(AAV)in articular cartilage and identified its protective effect by slowing the destruction of osteoarthritis in cartilage in early osteoarthritis and alleviating the pathological progression of growth plate cartilage in late osteoarthritis.ChIP-seq analysis identified new targets that interacted with Runxl in cartilage pathology,and we confirmed the direct interactions of these factors with Runxl by ChIP-qPCR.This study helps us to understand the function of Runxl in osteoarthritis and provides new clues for targeted osteoarthritis therapy.Chenchen Zhou Yujia Cui Yueyi Yang Daimo Guo Demao Zhang Yi Fan Xiaobing Li Jing Zou Jing Xie 2021Bone Research2021,9,4:4
7Pollution levels and characteristics of phthalate esters in indoor air in hospitals显示文摘The concentrations of phthalate esters(PAEs) in Chinese hospitals were investigated by simultaneously determining concentrations of gas- and particle-phase PAEs. PAEs were detected in two third-class first-grade hospitals, two second-class first-grade hospitals, and a community health service center. Hospital drugstores had the highest concentration(24.19 μg/m3), which was 1.54 times that of newly decorated houses. The second highest concentration was found in the transfusion rooms, averaging 21.89 μg/m3; this was followed by the concentrations of PAEs in the nurse's workstations, the wards, and the doctor's offices, with mean concentrations of 20.66, 20.0, and 16.92 μg/m3, respectively. The lowest concentrations were found in the hallways(16.30 μg/m3). Of the six different kinds of PAEs found, major pollutants included diethyl phthalates, dibutyl phthalates, butylbenzyl phthalates and di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalates, comprising more than 80% of all PAEs present.Meanwhile, a comparison between different wards showed that PAE concentrations in the maternity wards were 1.63 times higher than in the main wards. Based on known health hazards, our results suggest that the PAEs seriously influence the health of the pregnant women and babies; therefore, it is of great importance to take the phthalate concentrations in hospitals into consideration. 8Pollution levels and characteristics of phthalate esters in indoor air of offices显示文摘The pollution status and characteristics of PAEs(phthalate esters) were investigated in indoor air of offices, and PAEs of both gas-phase and particulate-phase were detected in all the samples. The concentration(sum of the gas phase and the particulate phase) was4748.24 ng/m3, ranging between 3070.09 and 6700.14 ng/m3. Diethyl phthalate, dibutyl phthalate, and di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate were the most abundant compounds, together accounting for 70% of the ∑ 6PAEs. Dividing the particulate-phase PAEs into four size ranges(< 2.5, 2.5–5, 5–10, > 10 μm), the result indicated that PAEs in PM2.5were the most abundant,with the proportion of 72.64%. In addition, the PAE concentration in PM2.5correlated significantly with the total particulate-phase PAEs(R2= 0.85). Thus, the amount of PAEs in PM2.5can be estimated from the total amount of particulate-phase PAEs using this proportion. In a comparison between the offices and a newly decorated study room, it was found that pollution characteristics were similar between these two places. 9Chemical Fingerprint for Identification and Quality Control of Saccharides in Danhong Injection Based on HPLC-ELSD with Chemometrics显示文摘Chemical fingerprinting has been widely used for the quality control of complex natural products including traditional Chinese medicines and botanical drugs. However, there is still lack of appropriate method to monitor the batch-to-batch consistency of hydrophilic constituents, such as saccharides and oligosaccharides. In the present study, we developed a novel approach based on high performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detector(HPLC-ELSD) for establishing saccharide fingerprinting of Danhong Injection(DHI), which is a widely used botanical drug for treating cardiovascular diseases. Major saccharides in DHI were isolated and four compounds including fructose, glucose and two oligosaccharides were identified. The structures of two novel saccharides named glycerol-1-O-galactfpyranosyl-(1→4)-O-arabmofuranoside, and glycerol-1-O-galactpyranosyl-(1→4)[O-arabmfuranosyl-(1→3)]-O-arabinofuranoside were confirmed by NMR, HR-ESI-MS and GC-MS for the first time. The establishment approach was successfully applied to distinguishing 12 batches of DHI from other botanical drugs with the aid of principle component analysis as well as to evaluating batch-to-batch consistency with the help of calculating similarity of tmgerprints. 11miR-345 inhibits migration and stem-like cell phenotype in gastric cancer via inactivation of Rac1 by targeting EPS8显示文摘Tumor metastasis is the main cause of treatment failure and death in patients with late stage of gastric cancer(GC).Studies showed that microRNAs(miRNAs)are important regulators in the process of tumor metastasis.In this study,we used miRNA array analysis to search for metastasisassociated miRNAs in primary and matched metastasis tissues of patients with GC and found that miR-345-5p(miR-345)was significantly higher in primary sites.Decreased expression of miR-345 was observed in GC tissues and cell lines,which was correlated with aggressive stage and grade.Patients with a higher level of miR-345 had a better prognosis,miR-345 could inhibit the migration and spheroid formation abilities in GC cell lines in transwell assay and spheroid formation assay.RNA sequencing and bioinformatics analysis revealed that miR-345 downregulated the epidermal growth factor receptor pathway substrate 8(EPS8)and its downstream Rac1 signaling.Mechanistically,we confirmed that miR-345 could target EPS8 by directly binding to its 3'untranslated region by luciferase reporter assay.Further rescue assay showed that the ability of miR-345 in inhibiting the migration,stem-like cell phenotype,and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)in GC was partly dependent on targeting EPS8.In conclusion,miR-345 plays an inhibitory role in GC metastasis through inhibiting cell migration,EMT,and cancer stem cell phenotype via inactivation of Rac1 signaling by targeting EPS8,which provides the potential therapeutic and predictive value of miR-345 in GC.Jieyun Zhang Chenchen Wang Shican Yan Yanan Yang Xiaowei Zhang Weijian Guo 2020Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2020,52,3:3
12Congestive heart failure in COX2 deficient rats显示文摘Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)inhibit prostaglandin(PG)formation by targeting cyclooxygenase(COX)1 and 2.Long-term use of NSAIDs that selectively inhibit COX2 increases the risk for thrombotic events,cardiac failure,and hypertension.However,the underlying mechanisms remain unclear.In this study,COX1-and COX2-deficient rats were created via Cas9/RNA-mediated gene targeting.DNA genotyping and Western blot analysis confirmed successful generation of COX1^(-/-) and COX2^(-/-) rats.Adult COX1^(-/-) rats grew normally,while more than 70%of COX2^(-/-) rats after wean died within 2 months.Echocardiography showed markedly reduced left ventricular ejection fraction and fractional shortening in adult COX2^(-/-) rats compared to those in wildtype(WT)controls.Histological analysis revealed accumulation of inflammatory cells and severe interstitial and perivascular fibrosis in COX2^(-/-)cardiac tissues.Moreover,cardiac ATP and acetyl-Co A production was dramatically decreased in COX2^(-/-) rats.Consistently,the expression of genes related to mitochondrial oxidation,such as those that encode for subunits of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex and acyl Co A dehydrogenases,were downregulated,while glycolytic hexokinase 1(HK1)was upregulated in COX2^(-/-) heart tissues.These observations indicate that COX2-deficient rats developed spontaneously heart failure,likely as a result of dysregulated cardiac energy metabolism.Qiangyou Wan Deping Kong Qian Liu Shumin Guo Chenchen Wang Yan Zhao Zun-Ji Ke Ying Yu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,7:3
13Association of systemic inflammation and body mass index with survival in patients with resectable gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinomas显示文摘Objective:The systemic inflammation index and body mass index(BMI)are easily accessible markers that can predict mortality.However,the prognostic value of the combined use of these two markers remains unclear.The goal of this study was therefore to evaluate the association of these markers with outcomes based on a large cohort of patients with gastric cancer.Methods:A total of 2,542 consecutive patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma between 2009 and 2014 were included.Systemic inflammation was quantified by the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR).High systemic inflammation was defined as NLR≥3,and underweight was defined as BMI<18.5 kg/m2.Results:Among 2,542 patients,NLR≥3 and underweight were common[627(25%)and 349(14%),respectively].In the entire cohort,NLR≥3 or underweight independently predicted overall survival(OS)[hazard ratio(HR):1.236,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.069–1.430;and HR:1.600,95%CI:1.350–1.897,respectively]and recurrence-free survival(RFS)(HR:1.230,95%CI:1.054–1.434;and HR:1.658,95%CI:1.389–1.979,respectively).Patients with both NLR≥3 and underweight(vs.neither)had much worse OS(HR:2.445,95%CI:1.853–3.225)and RFS(HR:2.405,95%CI:1.802–3.209).Furthermore,we observed similar results in subgroup analyses according to pathological stage,age,and postoperative chemotherapy.Conclusions:Our results showed that preoperative elevated NLR and decreased BMI had a significant negative effect on survival.Underweight combined with severe inflammation could enhance prognostication.Taking active therapeutic measures to reduce inflammation and increase nutrition may help improve outcomes.Xianchun Gao Yanan Pan Weili Han Caie Hu Chenchen Wang Ling Chen Yong Guo Yupeng Shi Yan Pan Huahong Xie Liping Yao Jianjun Yang Jianyong Zheng Xiaohua Li Xiaonan Liu Liu Hong Jipeng Li Mengbin Li Gang Ji Zengshan Li Jielai Xia Qingchuan Zhao Daiming Fan Kaichun Wu Yongzhan Nie 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,1:2
14Amplification and expression of c-MET correlate with poor prognosis of patients with gastric cancer and upregulate the expression of PDL1显示文摘The prognostic significance of c-MET in gastric cancer(GC)remains uncertain.In the present study,we examined the amplification,expression,and the prognostic value of c-MET,human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2),and programmed cell death 1 ligand 1(PDL1),together with the correlations among them in a large cohort of Chinese samples.A total of 444 patients were included.The immunohistochemistry(IHC)and the dual-color silver in situ hybridization(SISH)were performed to examine their expression and amplification.Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed by the Cox proportional hazard regression model,and survival curves were estimated by the Kaplan-Meier method.The positivity determined by IHC of c-MET was 24.8%,and the MET amplification rate was 2.3%.The positivity rates of HER2 and PDL1 were 8%and 34.7%,respectively.PDL1 expression had a significantly positive association with c-MET expression.c-MET positivity played a significant prognostic role in disease-free survival(DFS)(P=0.032).Patients with mesenchymal-epithelial transition(MET)amplification had significantly poorer prognosis on both DFS and overall survival(OS).Subgroup analysis showed that in HER2-negative patients,but not in HER2-positive patients,MET-positive patients had significantly worse DFS(P=0.000)and OS(P=0.006).c-MET regulated the expression of PDL1 through an AKT-dependent pathway.c-MET inhibitor enhanced the T-cell killing ability and increased the efficacy of PD1 antibody.c-MET was found to be an independent prognostic factor for DFS of GC patients.A combination of c-MET inhibitors and PD1 antibodies could enhance the killing capacity of T cells,providing a preliminary basis for the clinical research on the same combination in GC treatment.Ya’nan Yang Chenchen Wang Congqi Dai Xinyang Liu Wenhua Li Mingzhu Huang Xiaoying Zhao Dongmei Ji Jin Li Weijian Guo 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,5:2

16Microwave-assisted continuous flow phytosynthesis of silver nanoparticle/reduced graphene oxide composites and related visible light catalytic performance显示文摘The creation of an environmentally friendly synthesis method for silver nanomaterials(Ag-NPs)is an urgent concern for sustainable nanotechnology development.In the present study,a novel straightforward and green method for the preparation of silver nanoparti-cle/reduced graphene oxide(AgNP/rGO)composites was successfully developed through the combination of phytosynthesis,continuous flow synthesis and microwave-assistance.Oriental persimmon(Diospyros kaki Thunb.)extracts were used as both plant reducing and capping agents for fast online synthesis of AgNP/rGO composites.The experimental param-eters were optimized and the morphologies of the prepared materials were investigated.The characterization results reveal that spherical AgNPs were quickly synthesized and uni-formly dispersed on rGO sheets using the proposed online system.Fourier transform in-frared spectroscopy analysis confirmed that phenols,flavonoids,and other substances in the plant extracts played a decisive role in the synthesis of AgNP/rGO composites.Using sodium borohydride(NaBH4)degradation of p-nitrophenol(4-NP)as a model,the catalytic activity of the prepared AgNP/rGO materials was evaluated.The complete degradation of 4-NP was achieved within 12 min through the use of AgNP/rGO materials,and the compos-ite had a much better catalytic activity than the bare AgNPs and rGO had.Compared with the conventional chemical method,our online method is facile,fast,cost-efficient,and en-vironmentally friendly.Houyu Wang Chun-Gang Yuan Chenchen Liu Xuelei Duan Qi Guo Yiwen Shen Jingfu Liu Yongsheng Chen 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,5:2

19Influence of the time-step on the production of free nucleons and pions from heavy-ion collisions around 1 GeV/nucleon显示文摘By considering different values of the time-step for the potential updates in the ultra-relativistic quantum molecular dynamics(UrQMD) model, we examine its influence on observables, such as the yield and collective flow of nucleons and pions from heavyion collisions around 1 GeV/nucleon. It is found that these observables are affected to some extent by the choice of the time-step,and the impact of the time-step on the pion-related observables is more visible than that on the nucleon-related ones.
