1The second natural gas hydrate production test in the South China Sea显示文摘Clayey silt reservoirs bearing natural gas hydrates(NGH)are considered to be the hydrate-bearing reservoirs that boast the highest reserves but tend to be the most difficult to exploit.They are proved to be exploitable by the first NGH production test conducted in the South China Sea in 2017.Based on the understanding of the first production test,the China Geological Survey determined the optimal target NGH reservoirs for production test and conducted a detailed assessment,numerical and experimental simulation,and onshore testing of the reservoirs.After that,it conducted the second offshore NGH production test in 1225 m deep Shenhu Area,South China Sea(also referred to as the second production test)from October 2019 to April 2020.During the second production test,a series of technical challenges of drilling horizontal wells in shallow soft strata in deep sea were met,including wellhead stability,directional drilling of a horizontal well,reservoir stimulation and sand control,and accurate depressurization.As a result,30 days of continuous gas production was achieved,with a cumulative gas production of 86.14×104 m3.Thus,the average daily gas production is 2.87×10^4 m^3,which is 5.57 times as much as that obtained in the first production test.Therefore,both the cumulative gas production and the daily gas production were highly improved compared to the first production test.As indicated by the monitoring results of the second production test,there was no anomaly in methane content in the seafloor,seawater,and atmosphere throughout the whole production test.This successful production test further indicates that safe and effective NGH exploitation is feasible in clayey silt NGH reservoirs.The industrialization of hydrates consists of five stages in general,namely theoretical research and simulation experiments,exploratory production test,experimental production test,productive production test,and commercial production.The second production test serves as an important step from the exploratory production test to experimental production test.Jian-liang Ye Xu-wen Qin Wen-wei Xie Hai-long Lu Bao-jin Ma Hai-jun Qiu Jin-qiang Liang Jing-an Lu Zeng-gui Kuang Cheng Lu Qian-yong Liang Shi-peng Wei Yan-jiang Yu Chunsheng Liu Bin Li Kai-xiang Shen Hao-xian Shi Qiu-ping Lu Jing Li Bei-bei Kou Gang Song Bo Li He-en Zhang Hong-feng Lu Chao Ma Yi-fei Dong Hang Bian 2020China Geology2020,3,2:22
2A novel method for distinguishing fog and haze based on PM2.5, visibility, and relative humidity显示文摘Haze and fog are both low visibility events, but with different physical properties. Haze is caused by the increase of aerosol loading or the hygroscopic growth of aerosol at high relative humidity, whereas visibility degradation in fog is due to the light scattering of fog droplets, which are transited from aerosols via activation. Based on the difference of physical properties between haze and fog, this study presents a novel method to distinguish haze and fog using real time measurements of PM2.5, visibility, and relative humidity. In this method, a criterion can be developed based on the local historical data of particle number size distributions and aerosol hygroscopicity. 3Laboratory tests and numerical simulations of brittle marble and squeezing schist at Jinping II hydropower station,China显示文摘Four 16.7 km-long tunnels with diameters ranging from 12.4 to 14.6 m are now under construction at Jinping II hydropower station along the Yalong River.The tunnels pass through Triassic rocks below Jinping Mountain.The tunnels are characterized with high overburden,long alignment and complex geological conditions.Brittle failure in marble and squeezing in schist are the primary problems in tunnelling.This paper introduces the studies of laboratory tests on Jinping II marble as well as numerical prediction of excavation damaged zone (EDZ) of tunnel section in brittle marble and determination of reinforced concrete lining thickness for restraining time-dependent deformation in the schist tunnel section.Laboratory tests indicate that Jinping II marble presents a complex brittle-ductile-plastic transition behavior of post-peak response with increasing confining pressure.Such behavior can be described numerically with the Hoek-Brown model.The EDZ was calibrated and predicted using both fast Lagrangian analysis of continua (FLAC) and particle flow code (PFC).The predicted result of EDZ in sections with different qualities of rock mass under various overburden pressures is quite helpful in understanding EDZ characterization and support design.A power-law creep model was used to support the lining design,especially in determining the lining thickness.Field convergence measurement data over 19 months were used to calibrate the creep model properties,followed by a sensibility analysis of reinforced concrete lining thickness that was launched to present the maximum lining compressive stress.Chunsheng Zhang,Weijiang Chu,Ning Liu,Yongsheng Zhu,Jing Hou East China Investigation and Design Institute,China Hydropower Engineering Consulting Group Co.,Hangzhou,310014,China 2011Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2011,3,1:10
4Coupling and propagating of mesoscale sea level variability between the western Pacific and the South China Sea显示文摘The coupling and propagating features of mesoscale sea level variability between the western Pacific (WP) and the South China Sea (SCS) were studied based on time series analyses of satellite altimeter measured, along-track sea surface height anomalies (SSHA) along 21°N and the slope of the northern SCS. The analyses show that mesoscale sea level fluctuations in the WP have rather limited coherent effects on the SCS, and no statistically significant propagation of mesoscale variability through the Luzon Strait was observed except in the 45-day band. Evidence suggests that the 45-day fluctuation is very much likely a character of the Kuroshio originating from its low-latitude beginning. It is also sug- gested that the westward propagating Rossby waves will deform when they encounter the dynamical barrier of the Kuroshio. The Kuroshio will then acts on the SCS in its own way. 5Theoretical Analysis and Experimental Verification on Valve-less Piezoelectric Pump with Hemisphere-segment Bluff-body显示文摘Existing researches on no-moving part valves in valve-less piezoelectric pumps mainly concentrate on pipeline valves and chamber bottom valves,which leads to the complex structure and manufacturing process of pump channel and chamber bottom.Furthermore,position fixed valves with respect to the inlet and outlet also makes the adjustability and controllability of flow rate worse.In order to overcome these shortcomings,this paper puts forward a novel implantable structure of valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segments in the pump chamber.Based on the theory of flow around bluff-body,the flow resistance on the spherical and round surface of hemisphere-segment is different when fluid flows through,and the macroscopic flow resistance differences thus formed are also different.A novel valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segment bluff-body(HSBB)is presented and designed.HSBB is the no-moving part valve.By the method of volume and momentum comparison,the stress on the bluff-body in the pump chamber is analyzed.The essential reason of unidirectional fluid pumping is expounded,and the flow rate formula is obtained.To verify the theory,a prototype is produced.By using the prototype,experimental research on the relationship between flow rate,pressure difference,voltage,and frequency has been carried out,which proves the correctness of the above theory.This prototype has six hemisphere-segments in the chamber filled with water,and the effective diameter of the piezoelectric bimorph is 30mm.The experiment result shows that the flow rate can reach 0.50 mL/s at the frequency of 6 Hz and the voltage of 110 V.Besides,the pressure difference can reach 26.2 mm H2O at the frequency of 6 Hz and the voltage of 160 V.This research proposes a valve-less piezoelectric pump with hemisphere-segment bluff-body,and its validity and feasibility is verified through theoretical analysis and experiment.JI Jing ZHANG Jianhui XIA Qixiao WANG Shouyin HUANG Jun ZHAO Chunsheng 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,3:8
6Recent developments in intelligent biomedical polymers显示文摘Intelligent polymers or stimuli-responsive polymers may exhibit distinct transitions in physical-chemical properties, including conformation, polarity, phase structure and chemical composition in response to changes in environmental stimuli. Due to their unique 'intelligent' characteristics, stimuli-sensitive polymers have found a wide variety of applications in biomedical and nanotechnological fields. This review focuses on the recent developments in biomedical application of intelligent polymer systems, such as intelligent hydrogel systems, intelligent drug delivery systems and intelligent molecular recognition systems. 7Responses of the Zhe-Min coastal current adjacent to Pingtan Island to the wintertime monsoon relaxation in 2006 and its mechanism显示文摘In conjunction with synchronous remotely sensed winds and sea surface temperature(SST),the spatiotemporal features of the Zhe-Min coastal current(ZMCC),especially responses of the ZMCC adjacent to Pingtan Island(PT) to the wintertime monsoon relaxation in 2006 and corresponding mechanism are investigated based on the field observations.In situ data are acquired from Conductivity-Temperature-Depth(CTD) cruise and Bottom-Mounted Moorings(BMM),which are conducted during a comprehensive survey for the Chinese Offshore Investigation and Assessment Project in winter 2006.It is revealed that the ZMCC is well mixed vertically in winter 2006.The ZMCC(<14°C) recedes during the relaxation of the wintertime monsoon and is accompanied by the enhanced northward shift of the warm,saline Taiwan Strait Mixed Water(TSMW,higher than 14°C and is constituted by the Taiwan Strait Warm Water and the Kuroshio Branch Water).And greatly enhanced southward intrusion of the ZMCC can be detected when the wintertime monsoon restores.Correspondingly,the thermal interface bounded by the ZMCC and the TSMW moves in the northwest/southeast direction,leading to periodic warm/cold reversals of the near-seabed temperature adjacent to the PT.By EOF(Empirical Orthogonal Function) analysis of the large-scale wind fields and wavelet power spectrum analysis of the water level,ocean current and the near-seabed temperature,responses of the ZMCC off the PT to wintertime monsoon relaxation are suggested to be attributed mainly to the southward propagating coastally trapped waves triggered by the impeding atmospheric fronts.As a result,ocean current and near-seabed temperature demonstrate significant quasi-5 d and quasi-10 d subtidal oscillations.By contrast,the onshore/offshore water accumulation resulted from Ekman advection driven by the local winds has minor contributions.PAN AiJun WAN XiaoFang GUO XiaoGang JING ChunSheng 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,3:5
8Environmental control of mesozooplankton community structure in the Hangzhou Bay, China显示文摘A quarterly study of mesozooplankton community structure and environmental variables in the Hangzhou Bay was conducted to examine the response of mesozooplankton community to the variation of water mass and environmental condition. The southeast coast of China is a typical region under the intensive influence of Asia monsoon and freshwater discharge from rivers. The water mass and environmental condition of the Hangzhou Bay, which were influenced by the interaction of currents, freshwater discharge of the Qiantang River and Changjiang River Plume, showed significant seasonal variation. Our results showed that both biomass and abundance were significantly higher in summer((247.7±148.8) mg/m^3 and(350.9±215.6) ind./m^3, respectively)than those in other seasons. Four eco-geographical regions were divided based on the cluster analysis of zooplankton community of the Hangzhou Bay throughout the year, except for winter. Monsoon and the dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN) input from freshwater discharge of the Qiantang River and Changjiang River resulted in temporal and spatial variations of environmental gradient in the Hangzhou Bay, which significantly influenced the structure of mesozooplankton community. 11The impact of the atmospheric turbulence-development tendency on new particle formation:a common finding on three continents显示文摘A new mechanism of new particle formation(NPF)is investigated using comprehensive measurements of aerosol physicochemical quantities and meteorological variables made in three continents,including Beijing,China;the Southern Great Plains site in the USA;and SMEARⅡStation in Hyytiala,Finland.D espite the considerably different emissions of chemical species among the sites,a common relationship was found between the characteristics of NPF and the stability intensity.The stability parameter(ζ=Z/L,where Z is the height above ground and L is the Monin-Obukhov length)is found to play an important role;it drops significantly before NPF as the atmosphere becomes more unstable,which may serve as an indicator of nucleation bursts.As the atmosphere becomes unstable,the NPF duration is closely related to the tendency for turbulence development,which influences the evolution of the condensation sink.Presumably,the unstable atmosphere may dilute pre-existing particles,effectively reducing the condensation sink,especially at coarse mode to foster nucleation.This new mechanism is confirmed by model simulations using a molecular dynamic model that mimics the impact of turbulence development on nucleation by inducing and intensifying homogeneous nucleation events.Hao Wu Zhanqing Li Hanqing Li Kun Luo Yuying Wang Peng Yan Fei Hu Fang Zhang Yele Sun Dongjie Shang Chunsheng Liang Dongmei Zhang Jing Wei Tong Wu Xiaoai Jin Xinxin Fan Maureen Cribb Marc L.Fischer Markku Kulmala Tuukka Petaja 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:2
12A Novel Wavenumber Domain SAR Imaging Algorithm Based on the Fractional Fourier Transform显示文摘The conventional Wavenumber domain algorithm(WDA) employs Fast Fourier transform(FFT) to implement matched filter. It is characterized by its high precision SAR imaging. Compared with FFT, Fractional Fourier transform(Fr FT) can provide lower and narrower sidelobes when it is applied to compress chirp signals at the optimal transform. This paper proposed a novel SAR imaging algorithm, termed Fr WDA which replaces FFT in WDA with Fr FT. The Fr WDA was derived and its implementation was presented. How to choose the optimal transformation order was given subsequently. The Fr WDA preserves high precision focusing, and has better performance on sidelobe suppression. The Fr WDA is more suitable for the high precision SAR imaging, especially in target detection and recognition. 16Evaluation matrix with the speed feature based on double inspiriting control lines显示文摘Methods of the comprehensive evaluation have been studied for many years.However,the change speed of evaluated objects was rarely considered by the existing evaluation methods.An evaluation matrix is proposed to remedy this deficiency.Firstly,the change speed state (CSS) of the evaluated objects is analyzed based on double inspiriting control lines (DICLs),and a matrix of the CSS is constructed.Then,72 elements in the matrix are analyzed,and formulas describing each CSS are given.The efficiency of the proposed evaluation matrix is proved when the CSS merges with the change speed trend (CST) in the dynamic comprehensive evaluation.Finally,a computing example shows that the proposed evaluation matrix is feasible in the dynamic comprehensive evaluation with the speed feature.Weiwei Liu Chunsheng Shi Jing Li 2013Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2013,24,6:1
17Functional identification of lncRNAs in sweet cherry(Prunus avium)pollen tubes via transcriptome analysis using single-molecule long-read sequencing显示文摘Sweet cherry(Prunus avium)is a popular fruit with high nutritional value and excellent flavor.Although pollen plays an important role in the double fertilization and subsequent fruit production of this species,little is known about its pollen tube transcriptome.In this study,we identified 16,409 transcripts using single-molecule sequencing.After filtering 292 transposable elements,we conducted further analyses including mRNA classification,gene function prediction,alternative splicing(AS)analysis,and long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)identification to gain insight into the pollen transcriptome.The filtered transcripts could be matched with 3,438 coding region sequences from the sweet cherry genome.GO and KEGG analyses revealed complex biological processes during pollen tube elongation.A total of 2043 AS events were predicted,7 of which were identified in different organs,such as the leaf,pistil and pollen tube.Using BLASTnt and the Coding-Potential Assessment Tool(CPAT),we distinguished a total of 284 lncRNAs,among which 154 qualified as natural antisense transcripts(NATs).As the NATs could be the reverse complements of coding mRNA sequences,they might bind to coding sequences.Antisense transfection assays showed that the NATs could regulate the expression levels of their complementary sequences and even affect the growth conditions of pollen tubes.In summary,this research characterizes the transcripts of P.avium pollen and lays the foundation for elucidating the physiological and biochemical mechanisms underlying sexual reproduction in the male gametes of this species.Yang Li Chuanbao Wu Chunsheng Liu Jie Yu Xuwei Duan Wenqi Fan Jing Wang Xiaoming Zhang Guohua Yan Tianzhong Li Kaichun Zhang 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:1
