1Manipulation of Band Degeneracy and Lattice Strain for Extraordinary PbTe Thermoelectrics显示文摘Maximizing band degeneracy and minimizing phonon relaxation time are proven to be successful for advancing thermoelectrics.Alloying with monotellurides has been known to be an effective approach for converging the valence bands of PbTe for electronic improvements,while the lattice thermal conductivity of the materials remains available room for being further reduced.It is recently revealed that the broadening of phonon dispersion measures the strength of phonon scattering,and lattice dislocations are particularly effective sources for such broadening through lattice strain fluctuations.In this work,a fine control of MnTe and EuTe alloying enables a significant increase in density of electron states near the valence band edge of PbTe due to involvement of multiple transporting bands,while the creation of dense in-grain dislocations leads to an effective broadening in phonon dispersion for reduced phonon lifetime due to the large strain fluctuations of dislocations as confirmed by synchrotron X-ray diffraction.The synergy of both electronic and thermal improvements successfully leads the average thermoelectric figure of merit to be higher than that ever reported for p-type PbTe at working temperatures.Yixuan Wu Pengfei Nan Zhiwei Chen Zezhu Zeng Siqi Lin Xinyue Zhang Hongliang Dong Zhiqiang Chen Hongkai Gu Wen Li Yue Chen Binghui Ge Yanzhong Pei 2020Research2020,,1:6
2Response of magnetic fields at geosynchronous orbit and on the ground to the sudden changes of IMF B_Z显示文摘The rapid change in the Earth’s magnetosphere caused by solar wind disturbances has been an important part of the solar wind-magnetosphere interaction.However most of the previous studies focused on the perturbation of the Earth’s magnetic field caused by solar wind dynamic pressure changes.In this paper,we studied the response of geosynchronous magnetic field and the magnetic field to the rapid southward turning of interplanetary magnetic field during the interval 1350 1420 UT on 7May 2007.During this event,BZ component of the interplanetary magnetic field decreased from 15 nT to 10 nT within 3 min(1403 1406 UT).The geosynchronous magnetic field measured by three geosynchronous satellites(GOES 10 12)first increased and then decreased.The variations of magnetic field strength in the morning sector(9 10 LT)were much larger than those in the dawn sector(5 LT).Meanwhile,the H components of geomagnetic field on the ground have similar response features but exhibit latitude and LT dependent variations.Compared with H components,the D components do not have regular variations.Although the solar wind dynamical pressure encounters small variations,the magnetic field both in space and on the ground does not display similar variations.Therefore,the increase of geomagnetic field in the dawn sector is caused by the southward turning of IMF(interplanetary magnetic field)BZ.These results will help to better understand the coupling process of geomagnetic filed and interplanetary magnetic field.DONG YiXuan CAO JinBin LIU WenLong ZHANG Lei LI LiuYuan 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,2:3
3Combination therapy using microwave ablation and d-mannose-chelated iron oxide nanoparticles inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma progression显示文摘Despite being a common therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),insufficient thermal ablation can leave behind tumor residues that can cause recurrence.This is believed to augment M2 inflammatory macrophages that usually play a pro-tumorigenic role.To address this problem,we designed D-mannose-chelated iron oxide nanoparticles(man-IONPs) to polarize M2-like macrophages into the antitumor Ml phenotype.In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that man-IONPs specifically targeted M2-like macrophages and accumulated in peri-ablation zones after macrophage infiltration was augmented under insufficient microwave ablation(MWA).The nanoparticles simultaneously induced polarization of pro-tumorigenic M2 macrophages into antitumor M1 phenotypes,enabling the transformation of the immunosuppressive microenvironment into an immunoactivating one.Post-MWA macrophage polarization exerted robust inhibitory effects on HCC progression in a well-established orthotopic liver cancer mouse model.Thus,combining thermal ablation with man-IONPs can salvage residual tumors after insufficient MWA.These results have strong potential for clinical translation.Rui Cui Luo Wang Dongyun Zhang Kun Zhang Jianping Dou Linan Dong Yixuan Zhang Jiapeng Wu Longfei Tan Jie Yu Ping Liang 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9:2
4Efficacy and Safety of Adding and Subtracting Decoction of Rehmanniae Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Hypertension:A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis显示文摘Objective:Systematically evaluating the efficacy and safety of adding and subtracting decoction of rehmanniae combined with Western medicine in the treatment of hypertension.Methods:PubMed,The Cochrane Library,EMBASE,Web of Science,CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP database and China Biomedical Literature Service System(CBM)were searched.All randomized controlled studies(RCTs)on adding and subtracting decoction ofrehmanniae combined with Western medicine in the treatment of hypertension were retrieved.The retrieval period is from the database construction to November 2021.Two investigators independently screened the literature,collected baseline data of patients and data on related indicators,and evaluated the risk of bias in the included randomized controlled trials.Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan5.3 software.Results:Five randomized controlled trials including 380 patients were obtained after screening by inclusing and exclusing criteria.Meta-analysis results showed that:In the experimental group,TCM syndrome score(MD=-4.08,95%CI:-5.32 to-2.84,P<0.00001),systolic blood pressure(SBP)(MD=-7.77,95%CI:-12.03 to-3.51,P=0.0003),diastolic blood pressure(DBP)(MD=-6.76,95%CI:-9.59 to-3.93,P<0.00001)were better than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant.Conclusion:The current evidence shows that compared with the simple use of Western medicine,adding and subtracting decoction of rehmanniae combined with Western medicine in the treatment of hypertension has more advantages in improving TCM syndromes and reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure,and the conclusion is reliable.However,due to the limited number and low quality of included randomized controlled trials,more randomized,double-blind,large-sample clinical studies are needed to confirm the above conclusions.Rui Wang Yixuan Dong Wenna Zhang Yue Jing Liu Qian Xie Shenjun Wang 2022Asian Toxicology Tesearch2022,4,1:2

6Cow dung-derived biochars engineered as antibacterial agents for bacterial decontamination显示文摘Disposal of the pollutants arising from farming cattle and other livestock threatens the environment and public safety in diverse ways.Herein,we report on the synthesis of engineered biochars using cow dung as raw material,and investigating these biochars as antibacterial agents for water decontamination.By coating the biochars with N-halamine polymer and loading them with active chlorine (i.e.,Cl+),we were able to regulate them on demand by tuning the polymer coating and bleaching conditions.The obtained N-halamine-modified biochars were found to be extremely potent against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.We also investigated the possibility of using these N-halamine-modified biochars for bacterial decontamination in real-world applications.Our findings indicated that a homemade filter column packed with N-halamine-modified biochars removed pathogenic bacteria from mining sewage,dairy sewage,domestic sewage,and artificial seawater.This proposed strategy could indicate a new way for utilizing livestock pollutants to create on-demand decontaminants.Quanfu Yao Qinggele Borjihan Huihui Qu Yixuan Guo Ziying Zhao Long Qiao Ting Li Alideertu Dong Ying Liu 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7:1

8Study of Star-Delta Soft Switch to Extend AC Motor High Speed Operation Region显示文摘In traction application,speed range of motor is an important index for motor drives.In AC motor control,the maximum speed of the motor is limited by the output voltage capability of the traditional three-phase inverter with star connenction of windings.Switching the star connection to delta connection in high-speed range can extend the speed range.In order to extend the speed operation region,star-delta switch proposed by many literatures relies on mechanical relay,which needs a dead zone of tens of milliseconds and seriously affects torque output.Besides,the traditional method will cause current overshoot during the switch transient process,decreasing the device security and reliability.Aiming at the defects existing in the star-delta hard switching,this paper proposes a star-delta soft switching method.Without adding extra power electronics devices,DC-bus capacitor is used to provide the path of zero axis current in the transient process,which helps to achieve the smooth torque output and zero current switch in the transient.Experiments have been done to validate the performance of the proposed method.The switching transient from star to delta connection in the motor drive can be much more stable than hard switching method.Yixuan Shuai Dong Jiang Zhuo Chen Zicheng Liu Haijing Sun Peng Li 2023CES Transactions on Electrical Machines and Systems2023,7,3:0

12Development of LAG-3/FGL1 blocking peptide and combination with radiotherapy for cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Aside from antibodies,peptides show great potential as immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)due to several advantages,such as better tumor penetration and lower cost.Lymphocyte-activation gene 3(LAG-3)is an immune checkpoint which can induce T cell dysfunction through interaction with its soluble ligand fibrinogen like protein-1(FGL1).Here,we found that LAG-3 expression was higher than programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)in multiple human cancers by TCGA databases,and successfully identified a LAG-3 binding peptide LFP-6 by phage display bio-panning,which specifically blocks the interaction of LAG-3/FGL1 but not LAG-3/MHC-II.Subsequently,D-amino acids were introduced to substitute the N-and C-terminus of LFP-6 to obtain the proteolysis-resistant peptide LFP-D1,which restores T cell function in vitro and inhibits tumor growth in vivo.Further,a bispecific peptide LFOP targeting both PD-1/PD-L1 and LAG-3/FGL1 was designed by conjugating LFP-D1 with PD-1/PD-L1blocking peptide OPBP-1(8-12),which activates T cell with enhanced proliferation and IFN-γ production.More importantly,LFOP combined with radiotherapy significantly improve the T cell infiltration in tumor and elevate systemic antitumor immune response.In conclusion,we developed a novel peptide blocking LAG-3/FGL1 which can restore T cell function,and the bispecific peptide synergizes with radiotherapy to further enhance the antitumor immune response.Yuzhen Qian Yixuan Sun Peishang Shi Xiuman Zhou Qiongqiong Zhang Qingyu Dong Shengzhe Jin Lu Qiu Xiaoshuang Niu Xiaowen Zhou Wenshan Zhao Yahong Wu Wenjie Zhai Yanfeng Gao 2024Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2024,14,3:0
13Phloem unloading in cultivated melon fruits follows an apoplasmic pathway during enlargement and ripening显示文摘Melon(Cucumis melo L.)has a long history of cultivation worldwide.During cultivation,domestication,and selection breeding,the sugar content of mature melon fruits has been significantly increased.Compared with unsweet melon and wild melon,rapid sucrose accumulation can occur in the middle and late stages of sweet melon fruit development.The phloem unloading pathway during the evolution and development of melon fruit has not been identified and analyzed.In this study,the phloem unloading pathway and the function of related sugar transporters in cultivated and wild melon fruits were analyzed by CFDA[5(6)-carbofluorescein diacetate]and esculin tracing,cytological pathway observation,qRT–PCR,and gene function analysis,etc.Results show that the phloem unloading pathway of wild melon fruit is largely symplastic,whereas the phloem unloading pathway of cultivated melon fruit shifts from symplastic to apoplasmic during development.According to a fruit grafting experiment,the fruit sink accumulates sugars independently.Correlation analysis showed that the expression amounts of several sucrose transporter genes were positively correlated with the sucrose content of melon fruit.Furthermore,CmSWEET10 was proved to be a sucrose transporter located on the plasma membrane of the phloem and highly expressed in the premature stage of sweet melon fruits,which means it may be involved in phloem apoplast unloading and sucrose accumulation in sweet melon fruits.Finally,we summarize a functional model of related enzymes and sugar transporters involved in the apoplast unloading of sweet melon fruits during enlargement and sucrose accumulation.Yixuan Zhou Kexin Li Suying Wen Dong Yang Jun Gao Ziwei Wang Peilu Zhu Zhilong Bie Jintao Cheng 2023Horticulture Research2023,10,8:0
14A Novel Method to Improve the Physical Property and Biocompatibility of Decellularized Heart Valve Scaffold with Sericin and Polydopamine显示文摘Cardiac valve replacement is an effective method to treat valvular heart disease.Artificial valves used routinely in clinic still have defects.In our study,we explored a novel method to modify the performance of Decellularized Heart Valve(DHV)scaffold.The decellularized porcine aortic valve was prepared using sequential hydrophile and lipophile solubilization method.The sericin was extracted from silk fibroin-deficient silkworm cocoon by lithium bromide method.First,DHV was immersed in sericin solution to produce the sericin–DHV composite scaffold.Then,we modified the DHV by making a Polydopamine(PDA)coating on the DHV first and then binding the sericin.The physical properties and biological compatibility of our composite scaffold were assessed in vitro and in vivo.Sericin were successfully prepared,combined to DHV and improved its biocompatibility.PDA coating further promoted the combination of sericin on DHV and improved the physical properties of scaffolds.The decay rate of our modified valve scaffold was decreased in vivo and it showed good compatibility with blood.In conclusion,our modification improved the physical properties and biocompatibility of the valve scaffold.The combination of PDA and sericin promoted the recellularization of decellularized valves,showing great potential to be a novel artificial valve.Peng Bai Gangcheng Kong Weihua Qiao Yu Song Yixuan Wang Jiawei Shi Nan Zhang Chungeng Liu Chong Chu Tixiusi Xiong Ying Zhou Cuifen Lu Lin Wang Nianguo Dong 2022Journal of Bionic Engineering2022,19,4:0
15Preparation of Cu-,Zn-,Co-Zeolites and Application for Adsorptive Desulfurization of Saudi Arabian Medium Crude显示文摘A series of Cu(II)-, Zn(II)-, Co(II)-loaded zeolites were successfully prepared by liquid phase ion-exchange method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD), N2-adsorption specific surface area measurement(BET), X-ray fluorescence(XRF), and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) techniques. The adsorptive desulfurization performance of different adsorbents for treating Saudi Arabian medium crude oil was investigated, and the results showed that desulfurization efficiency declined in the following order: Zn(II)X > Cu(II)Y > Co(II)X > Cu(II)X > Co(II)Y> Zn(II)Y. The best desulfurization efficiency of 41.01% was achieved by using Zn(II)X as the adsorbent under the optimized conditions.The desulfurization performance of Zn(II)X in different distillates showed that a better performance was obtained in heavy petroleum fractions. Furthermore, the distribution of sulfur compounds in distillates after desulfurization was analyzed and the results showed that the adsorbent Zn(II)X could preferably adsorb aromatic sulfides such as thiophenes,benzothiophenes, and dibenzothiophenes. These results suggested that the π-complexation between zinc ions and sulfides would be crucial to the excellent desulfurization efficiency of Zn(II)X. 18PatU3 plays a central role in coordinating cell division and differentiation in pattern formation of filamentous cyanobacterium Nostoc sp.PCC 7120显示文摘Spatial periodic signal for cell differentiation in some multicellular organisms is generated according to Turing's principle for pattern formation.How a dividing cell responds to the signal of differentiation is addressed with the filamentous cyanobacterium Nostoc sp.PCC 7120,which forms the patterned distribution of heterocysts.We show that differentiation of a dividing cell was delayed until its division was completed and only one daughter cell became heterocyst.A mutant of patU3,which encodes an inhibitor of heterocyst formation,showed no such delay and formed heterocyst pairs from the daughter cells of cell division or dumbbell-shaped heterocysts from the cells undergoing cytokinesis.The patA mutant,which forms heterocysts only at the filament ends,restored intercalary heterocysts by a single nucleotide mutation of patU3,and double mutants of patU3/patA and patU3/hetF had the phenotypes of the patU3 mutant.We provide evidence that HetF,which can degrade PatU3,is recruited to cell divisome through its C-terminal domain.A HetF mutant with its N-terminal peptidase domain but lacking the C-terminal domain could not prevent the formation of heterocyst pairs,suggesting that the divisome recruitment of HetF is needed to sequester HetF for the delay of differentiation in dividing cells.Our study demonstrates that PatU3 plays a key role in celldivision coupled control of differentiation.Lei Yin Zhenggao Zheng Yilin Li Xiying Li Dan Cheng Chunxia Dong Yixuan Liu Jindong Zhao 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,12:0
