| 1 | An overview of design for CSNS/RCS and beam transport显示文摘The China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) is the first accelerator-based pulsed neutron source in China. Its accelerators are made up of an 80 MeV H- linac, a Rapid Cycling Synchrotron (RCS) and two beam transport lines. RCS accumulates and accelerates protons to the design energy of 1.6 GeV, and extracts high energy beam to strike the target. The overview of RCS is presented, and the key problems of the physics design are discussed. | 2 | Experimental studies on interaction of water mist with class K fires显示文摘Interaction of water mist with cooking oil fires is studied experimentally and theoretically. A LDV/APV system is used to measure the velocity and diameter of water mist at different pressures in the experiments,and the effect of water mist velocity and diameter on fire extinguishment efficiency is investi-gated. The experimental results show that water mist has excellent surface cooling effect; it can control and extinguish cooking oil fires quickly without re-ignition. The critical temperature (Tfo) is calculated by energy balance equation,and the fire plume momentum is calculated and compared with that of water mist in order to determine the critical velocity (νwy) of fire extinguishment. | 3 | Experimental studies on electrical breakdown field strength of electrode with water mist containing MC additives显示文摘Water mist is one of the effective candidates for halon replacement used in electrical environment fire protec-tion. Water mist additives may greatly enhance fire suppres-sion effectiveness. In electrical environment, electrical breakdown field strength (E) is one of the important factors that control the performance of electrical equipment. In this study the variation principles of electrical breakdown field strength and the electrical characteristics of MC additives were investigated by electrode discharging experiments. Ex-perimental results showed that electrical breakdown field strength was impacted obviously by the conductive metal ions and insulated fluorocarbon surfactants in MC additives. | 4 | Experimental Study on Enhancement of Bubble Absorption of Gaseous CO2 with Nanofluids in Ammonia显示文摘In order to study the effects of nanoparticles on the CO_2 absorption in ammonia,nanofluids with different ammonia concentration and different nanoparticle solid loading were prepared by a two-step method.The nanofluids-enhanced gas absorption test devices were also established. The CO_2 absorption in TiO_2,CuO,SiO_2 nanofluids,which nanoparticles solid loading were 1. 0-8. 0 g/L,was tested respectively. In comparison with the blank absorption experiment,the effects of nanoparticle solid loading,nanoparticle types,ammonia concentration on the removal efficiency and removal rate were obtained. Experimental results show that adding nanoparticles can enhance the removal efficiency and removal rate,which increase first and then decrease with the increase of nanoparticle solid loading,and there exists an optimum solid loading of TiO_2 nanoparticles. The effect of SiO_2 nanofluid is inhibitory on the reaction. The enhancement factor of CuO nanofluid is always hovering around 1,which does not show the obvious enhancement or inhibition on the reaction. The optimum solid loading decreases gradually with the increase of ammonia concentration. | 5 | Rapid and user-friendly open-source CRISPR/Cas9 system for single-or multi-site editing of tomato genome显示文摘CRISPR/Cas9-induced genome editing is a powerful tool for studying gene function in a variety of organisms,including plants.Using multi-sgRNAs to target one or more genes is helpful to improve the efficacy of gene editing and facilitate multi-gene editing.Here,we describe a CRISPR/Cas9 system which can be conveniently developed as a CRISPR kit.SgRNA expression cassettes can be rapidly generated by one-step PCR using our CRISPR kit.In our kit,there are two binary vectors pHNCas9 and pHNCas9HT.The binary vector pHNCas9 was constructed to allow to assemble up to eight sgRNA expression cassettes by one-step Golden Gate cloning.Another binary vector pHNCas9HT can be used to generate a large number of single target constructs by directly transforming ligation reactions products into A.tumefaciens without several procedures,such as PCR and plasmid extraction.The two binary vectors are designed according to the principles of standard BioBrick assembly to be used as an open-source tool.For example,we used BioBrick as a visual T-DNA tag.We also developed a primer design aid to complement the system.With this primer design aid,researchers can rapidly obtain primers and GC content,and sgRNA sequence of target site.Our CRISPR/Cas9 system can perform single-and multi-site editing and multiple gene editing to produce various types of mutations in tomato.This rapid and user-friendly CRISPR/Cas9 system for tomato can be potentially used for mutagenesis of important crop species for genetic improvement and is suitable for research into the function of genes. | Nan Hu Zhiqiang Xian Ning Li Yudong Liu Wei Huang Fang Yan Deding Su Jingxuan Chen Zhengguo Li | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 2 |

| 11 | A self-crosslinking,double-functional group modified bacterial cellulose gel used for antibacterial and healing of infected wound显示文摘Cellulose/chitosan composite,as a mature commercial antibacterial dressing,is an important type of wound repair material.However,how to achieve the perfect compound of two components and improve antibacterial activity is a major,lingering issue.In this study,a bifunctional group modified bacterial cellulose(DCBC)was prepared by carboxymethylation and selective oxidation.Further,the chitosan(CS)was compounded in the network of DCBC by self-crosslinking to form dialdehyde carboxymethyl bacterial cellulose/chitosan composites(S-DCBC/CS).The aldehyde group can react with amino of CS by Schiff base reaction.The carboxyl group of DCBC and the amorphous distribution of CS molecular chains increase the antimicrobial properties of com-posites.The bacteriostatic rate of composites could be higher than 95%.Bacteria can be attracted onto the surface of composites,what we call it“directional adhesion antibacterial effects”.In particular,a kind of large animal wound model,deep II degree infected scald of Bama miniature pig,was used to research the antimicrobial and healing properties of materials.The S-DCBC/CS can effectively inhibit bacterial proliferation of wound and kill the bacteria.The wound healing rate of S-DCBC/CS was up to 80%after three weeks.The composites show better antibacterial and promoting concrescence effects than traditional chitosan dressings. | Yajie Xie Kun Qiao Lina Yue Tao Tang Yudong Zheng Shihui Zhu Huiyi Yang Ziyuan Fang | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,11: | 1 |

| 15 | SlWRKY30 and SlWRKY81 synergistically modulate tomato immunity to Ralstonia solanacearum by directly regulating SlPR-STH2显示文摘Bacterial wilt is a devastating disease of tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)caused by Ralstonia solanacearum that severely threatens tomato production.Group III WRKY transcription factors(TFs)are implicated in the plant response to pathogen infection;however,their roles in the response of tomato to R.solanacearum infection(RSI)remain largely unexplored.Here,we report the crucial role of SlWRKY30,a group III SlWRKY TF,in the regulation of tomato response to RSI.SlWRKY30 was strongly induced by RSI.SlWRKY30 overexpression reduced tomato susceptibility to RSI,and also increased H2O2 accumulation and cell necrosis,suggesting that SlWRKY30 positively regulates tomato resistance to RSI.RNA sequencing and reverse transcription–quantitative PCR revealed that SlWRKY30 overexpression significantly upregulated pathogenesis-related protein(SlPR-STH2)genes SlPR-STH2a,SlPR-STH2b,SlPR-STH2c,and SlPR-STH2d(hereafter SlPR-STH2a/b/c/d)in tomato,and these SlPR-STH2 genes were directly targeted by SlWRKY30.Moreover,four group III WRKY proteins(SlWRKY52,SlWRKY59,SlWRKY80,and SlWRKY81)interacted with SlWRKY30,and SlWRKY81 silencing increased tomato susceptibility to RSI.Both SlWRKY30 and SlWRKY81 activated SlPR-STH2a/b/c/d expression by directly binding to their promoters.Taking these results together,SlWRKY30 and SlWRKY81 synergistically regulate resistance to RSI by activating SlPR-STH2a/b/c/d expression in tomato.Our results also highlight the potential of SlWRKY30 to improve tomato resistance to RSI via genetic manipulations. | Fengfeng Dang Jinhui Lin Yajing Li Ruoyun Jiang Yudong Fang Fei Ding Shuilin He Yanfeng Wang | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,5: | 1 |

| 17 | East Asian monsoon intensification promoted weathering of the magnesium-rich southern China upper crust and its global significance显示文摘The Oligocene-Miocene boundary Asian climatic reorganization linked to the northward migration of the East Asian monsoon into subtropical China is a potentially important but poorly constrained atmospheric CO_(2) consumption process.Here,we performed a first-order estimate of the CO_(2) consumption induced by silicate chemical weathering and organic carbon burial in subtropical China related to this climatic reorganization.Our results show that an increase in long-term CO_(2 )consumption by silicate weathering varies from 0.06×10^(12)to 0.87×10^(12)mol yr^(-1)depending on erosion flux reconstructions,with an~50%contribution of Mg-silicate weathering since the late Oligocene.The organic carbon burial flux is approximately 25%of the contemporary CO_(2) consumption by silicate weathering.The results highlight the significant role of weathering of the Mg-rich upper continental crust in East China,which would contribute to the rapid decline in atmospheric CO_(2) during the late Oligocene and the Neogene rise in the seawater Mg content.If this climatic reorganization was mainly induced by the Tibetan Plateau uplift,our study suggests that the growth of the Himalayan-Tibetan Plateau can lead to indirect modification of the global carbon and magnesium cycles by changing the regional hydrological cycle in areas of East Asia that are tectonically less active. | Yibo YANG Albert GALY Xiaomin FANG Christian FRANCE-LANORD Shiming WAN Rongsheng YANG Jian ZHANG Ran ZHANG Song YANG Yunfa MIAO Yudong LIU Chengcheng YE | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,7: | 0 |
