| 1 | Washed microbiota transplantation vs.manual fecal microbiota transplantation:clinical findings,animal studies and in vitro screening显示文摘Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)by manual preparation has been applied to treat diseases for thousands of years.However,this method still endures safety risks and challenges the psychological endurance and acceptance of doctors,patients and donors.Population evidence showed the washed microbiota preparation with microfiltration based on an automatic purification system followed by repeated centrifugation plus suspension for three times significantly reduced FMT-related adverse events.This washing preparation makes delivering a precise dose of the enriched microbiota feasible,instead of using the weight of stool.Intraperitoneal injection in mice with the fecal microbiota supernatant obtained after repeated centrifugation plus suspension for three times induced less toxic reaction than that by the first centrifugation following the microfiltration.The toxic reactions that include death,the change in the level of peripheral white blood cells,and the proliferation of germinal center in secondary lymphoid follicles in spleen were noted.The metagenomic next-generation sequencing(NGS)indicated the increasing types and amount of viruses could be washed out during the washing process.Metabolomics analysis indicated metabolites with pro-inflammatory effects in the fecal microbiota supernatant such as leukotriene B4,corticosterone,and prostaglandin G2 could be removed by repeated washing.Near-infrared absorption spectroscopy could be served as a rapid detection method to control the quality of the washingprocess.In conclusion,this study for the first time provides evidence linking clinical findings and animal experiments to support that washed microbiota transplantation(WMT)is safer,more precise and more quality-controllable than the crude FMT by manual. | Ting Zhang Gaochen Lu Zhe Zhao Yafei Liu Quan Shen Pan Li Yaoyao Chen Haoran Yin Huiquan Wang Cicilia Marcella Bota Cui Lei Cheng Guozhong Ji Faming Zhang | 2020 | Protein & Cell2020,11,4: | 44 |

| 3 | Design and indoor simulated experiment of pneumatic rice seed metering device显示文摘In order to meet the agronomy demand for hybrid rice direct seeding,a novel precise pneumatic rice seed metering device was designed with groups of sucking holes plate,by which 3-4 seeds could be synchronously sucked and synchronously dropped into the paddy field.The plate was divided into five sections:seed sucking,seed clearing,seed carrying,seed dropping,and blank sections.The seeds were sucked in sucking section by the vacuum,carried and rotated to the dropping section with the plate,blown away in dropping section by the positive pressure air,and thrown into the dropping tube.The influences of the hole diameter,vacuum degree,and clear-up equipment on precision of metering device were discussed.Experiments were conducted to investigate the seeding precision and simulate the field emergence rates on the indoor seeding test-bed.The subjects were pregnant Indic hybrid Peizataifeng under two kinds of moisture content(23.43%and 26.07%).Other experiment conditions included the vacuum degree of 2.60 kPa,the rotation speed of seed sucking plate of 30 r/min,three sucking holes with a diameter of 1.6 mm,and the seed layer thickness of 25 mm.The seeding results showed that,in condition of no more than two seeds per hill,the emergence probabilities under the two moisture contents were 11.82%and 11.95%,respectively,and in condition of 3-4 seeds per hill,the results were 64.81%and 65.84%,respectively.With 2-5 seeds per hill,the results were 92.08%and 92.60%,respectively.If the emergence probability was 80%,under the two moisture contents,the no seed per hill probabilities were 1.33%and 0.80%respectively;the probabilities with 3-4 seeds per hill were 56.13%and 56.40%respectively;the probabilities with 5 or more seeds per hill were 10.67%and 10.13%respectively;the probabilities with 2-5 seeds per hill were 87.60%and 88.13%respectively.The results showed the simulated experiment was an efficient and economic method to assess the capability of pneumatic rice seed drilling metering device,and the precise pneumatic rice seed drilling metering device had a good prospect in practical application. | Zhang Guozhong Zang Ying Luo Xiwen Wang Zaiman Zhang Qiang Zhang Shasha | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,4: | 19 |

| 8 | Necklace-like Si@C nano?bers as robust anode materials for high performance lithium ion batteries显示文摘Silicon is believed to be a promising anode material for lithium ion batteries because of its highest theoretical capacity and low discharge potential. However, severe pulverization and capacity fading caused by huge volume change during cycling limits its practical application. In this work, necklace-like N-doped carbon wrapped mesoporous Si nanofibers(NL-Si@C) network has been synthesized via electrospinning method followed by magnesiothermic reduction reaction process to suppress these issues. The mesoporous Si nanospheres are wrapped with N-doped carbon shells network to form yolk-shell structure.Interestingly, the distance of adjacent Si@C nanospheres can be controllably adjusted by different addition amounts of SiO_2 nanospheres. When used as an anode material for lithium ion batteries, the NL-Si@C-0.5 exhibits best cycling stability and rate capability. The excellent electrochemical performances can be ascribed to the necklace-like network structure and N-doped carbon layers, which can ensure fast ions and electrons transportation, facilitate the electrolyte penetration and provide finite voids to allow large volume expansion of inner Si nanoparticles. | 14 | Meaningful comparison of photocatalytic properties of {001} and {101} faceted anatase TiO2 nanocrystals显示文摘The facet-dependent photocatalytic performance of TiO_2 nanocrystals has been extensively investigated due to their promising applications in renewable energy and environmental fields. However, the intrinsic distinction in the photocatalytic oxidation activities between the {001}and {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals is still unclear and under debate. In this work, a simple photoelectrochemical method was employed to meaningfully quantify the intrinsic photocatalytic activities of {001} and{101} faceted TiO_2 nanocrystal photoanodes. The effective surface areas of photoanodes with different facets were measured based on the monolayer adsorption of phthalic acid on TiO_2 photoanode surface by an ex situ photoelectrochemical method, which were used to normalize the photocurrents obtained from different faceted photoanodes for meaningful comparison of their photocatalytic activities. The results demonstrated that the {001} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals exhibited much better photocatalytic activity than that of {101} facets of anatase TiO_2 nanocrystals toward photocatalytic oxidation of water and organic compounds with different functional groups(e.g.,–OH, –CHO, –COOH). This porous carbon can be modified using a simple solution-based method to enhance capacitance. Increasing the working voltage from 2.0 to 3.0 V significantly improves performance for both unmodified and hexamine-coated carbon. | 16 | 3-year Treatment of Tenofovir Alafenamide vs.Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate for Chronic HBV Infection in China显示文摘Background and Aims:Tenofovir alafenamide(TAF)has similar efficacy to tenofovir disoproxil fumarate(TDF)but with improved renal and bone safety in chronic hepatitis B patients studied outside of China.We report 3-year results from two phase 3 studies with TAF in China(Clinicaltrials.gov:NCT02836249 and NCT02836236).Methods:Chinese hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)-positive and-negative chronic hepatitis B patients with viremia and elevated alanine aminotransferase were randomized 2:1 to TAF or TDF treatment groups and treated in a double-blind fashion for 144 weeks(3 years).Efficacy responses were assessed by individual study while safety was assessed by a pooled analysis.Results:Of the 334 patients(180 HBeAg-positive and 154 HBeAg-negative)randomized and treated,baseline characteristics were similar between groups.The overall mean age was 38 years and 73%were male.The mean HBV DNA was 6.4 log10 IU/mL.The median alanine aminotransferase was 88 U/L,and 37%had a history of antiviral use.At week 144,the proportion with HBV DNA<29 IU/mL was similar among the two groups,with TAF at 83%vs.TDF at 79%,and TAF at 93%vs.TDF at 92%for the HBeAg-positive and-negative patients,respectively.In each study,higher proportions of TAF than TDF patients showed normalized alanine aminotransferase(via the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the China criteria)and showed loss of HBsAg;meanwhile,the HBeAg seroconversion rates were similar.Treatment was well-tolerated among the TAF patients,who showed a smaller median decline in creatinine clearance(−0.4 vs.−3.2 mL/min;p=0.014)and less percentage change in bone mineral density vs.TDF at hip(−0.95%vs.−1.93%)and spine(+0.35%vs.−1.40%).Conclusions:In chronic hepatitis B patients from China,TAF treatment provided efficacy similar to TDF but with better renal and bone safety at 3 years. | Jinlin Hou Qin Ning Zhongping Duan You Chen Qing Xie Fu-Sheng Wang Lunli Zhang Shanming Wu Hong Tang Jun Li Feng Lin Yongfeng Yang Guozhong Gong John FFlaherty Anuj Gaggar Shuyuan Mo Cong Cheng Gregory Camus Chengwei Chen Yan Huang Jidong Jia Mingxiang Zhang GS-US-320-0110 and GS-US-320-0108 China Investigators | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,3: | 7 |

Furthermore, a way to implement knowledge base revision is presented, and a prototype system is introduced. | 19 | Microblog Burst Keywords Detection Based on Social Trust and Dynamics Model显示文摘Microblog has emerged as a popular medium for providing new sources of information and rapid communications, particularly during burst topics. Burst keywords detection from real-time microblog streams is important for burst topics detection. The exiting algorithms may detect fake burst keywords without taking into account the trustworthiness of the users and human's daily timetable. Our work is the first to combine the trustworthiness of the users with burst keywords detection. We propose a novel approach to detect burst keywords based on social trust and dynamics model. We adapt basic notions of dynamics from physics and model keywords bursts as momentum change of the keywords. On the analogy of physical dynamics model, this approach defines mass as the trustworthiness of user and position as the frequency of keywords. We compute each keyword's burst value by using Moving average convergence/divergence(MACD) and determine whether it is a burst keyword in a given time window.
