1Characteristics of distribution of Mycobacterium tuberculosis lineages in China显示文摘The genotyping methods of Mycobacterium tuberculosis would dramatically improve our understanding of the molecular epidemiology of tuberculosis. 3,929 isolates, from a National Survey of Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis in 2007 in China, were successfully genotyped by large sequence polymorphisms and 15 loci variable number tandem repeats. We found that 2,905(2,905/3,929, 73.9%) cases belonged to Lineage 2, dominated in the east and central regions, 975 cases(975/3,929, 24.8%) were Lineage 4, highly prevailed in the west regions, and 36 and 13 cases were Lineage 3 and Lineage 1, respectively. We also explored the associations between lineages(Lineage 2 vs. Lineage 4) and clinical characteristics by logistic regression. For Lineage 2, the risk factors were Han-ethnicity population and fever. However, for Lineage 4, they were occupation(farmer), and degree of education(non-literate). 3First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 8Single-molecule imaging reveals the stoichiometry change of epidermal growth factor receptor during transactivation by β_2-adrenergic receptor显示文摘Stimulation of G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs) can lead to the transactivation of the epidermal growth factor receptors(EGFR). The cross-communication between the two signaling pathways regulates several important physiological or pathological processes. However, the molecule mechanism underlying EGFR transactivation remains poorly understood. Here, we aim to study the GPCR-mediated EGFR transactivation process using the single-molecule fluorescence imaging and tracking approach.We found that although EGFR existed as monomers at the plasma membrane of resting cells, they became dimers and thus diffused slower following the activation of β2-adrenergic receptor(β2-AR) by isoproterenol(ISO). We further proved thatβ2-AR-mediated changes of EGFR in stoichiometry and dynamics were mediated by Src kinase.
