1CoxP@NiCo-LDH heteronanosheet arrays as efficient bifunctional electrocatalysts for co-generation of value-added formate and hydrogen with less-energy consumption显示文摘The inefficiency of water splitting is mainly due to the sluggish anodic water oxidation reaction. Replacing water oxidation with thermodynamically more favorable selective methanol oxidation reaction and developing robust bifunctional electrocatalysts are of great significance. Herein, a hierarchical heteronanostructure with Ni–Co layered double hydroxide(LDH) ultrathin nanosheets coated on cobalt phosphide nanosheets arrays(CoxP@NiCo-LDH) are fabricated and used for co-electrolysis of methanol/water to co-produce value-added formate and hydrogen with saving energy. Benefiting from the fast charge transfer introduced by phosphide nanoarrays, the synergy in nanosheets catalysts with hetero-interface,CoxP@NiCo-LDH/Ni foam(NF) exhibits superior electrocatalytic performance(10 mA cm-2@ 1.24 V and-0.10 V for methanol selective oxidation and hydrogen evolution reaction, respectively). Furthermore,CoxP@NiCo-LDH/NF-based symmetric two-electrode electrolyzer drives a current density of 10 m A cm-2 with a low cell voltage of only 1.43 V and the Faradaic efficiency towards the generation of formate and H2 are close to 100% in the tested range of current density(from 40 to 200 m A cm-2). 2The IAA-and ABA-responsive transcription factor CgMYB58 upregulates lignin biosynthesis and triggers juice sac granulation in pummelo显示文摘In citrus,lignin overaccumulation in the juice sac results in granulation and an unpleasant fruit texture and taste.By integrating metabolic phenotyping and transcriptomic analyses,we found 702 differentially expressed genes(DEGs),including 24 transcription factors(TFs),to be significantly correlated with lignin content.CgMYB58 was further identified as a critical R2R3 MYB TF involved in lignin overaccumulation owing to its high transcript levels in Huanong Red-fleshed pummelo(HR,Citrus grandis)fruits.Transient expression of CgMYB58 led to an increase in the lignin content in the pummelo fruit mesocarp,whereas its stable overexpression significantly promoted lignin accumulation and upregulated 19 lignin biosynthetic genes.Among these genes,CgPAL1,CgPAL2,Cg4CL1,and CgC3H were directly modulated by CgMYB58 through interaction with their promoter regions.Moreover,we showed that juice sac granulation in pummelo fruits could be affected by indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)and abscisic acid(ABA)treatments.In HR pummelo,ABA significantly accelerated this granulation,whereas IAA effectively inhibited this process.Taken together,these results provide novel insight into the lignin accumulation mechanism in citrus fruits.We also revealed the theoretical basis via exogenous IAA application,which repressed the expression of CgMYB58 and its target genes,thus alleviating juice sac granulation in orchards.Meiyan Shi Xiao Liu Haipeng Zhang Zhenyu He Hongbin Yang Jiajing Chen Jia Feng Wenhui Yang Youwu Jiang Jia-Long Yao Cecilia Hong Deng Juan Xu 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4
3First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 4Enormous enhancement in electrical performance of few-layered MoTe2 due to Schottky barrier reduction induced by ultraviolet ozone treatment显示文摘Doping can improve the band alignment at the metal-semiconductor interface to modify the corresponding Schottky barrier,which is crucial for the realization of high-performance logic components.Here,we systematically investigated a convenient and effective method,ultraviolet ozone treatment,for p-type doping of MoTe2 field-effect transistors to enormously enhance the corresponding electrical performance.The resulted hole concentration and mobility are near 100 times enhanced to be〜1.0×10^13 cm^-2 and 101.4 cm^2/(V·s),respectively,and the conductivity is improved by 5 orders of magnitude.These values are comparable to the highest ones ever obtained via annealing doping or non-lithographic fabrication methods at room temperature.Compared with the pristine one,the photoresponsivity(522 mA/W)is enhanced approximately 100 times.Such excellent performances can be attributed to the sharply reduced Schottky barrier because of the surface charge transfer from MoTe2 to MoOx(x<3),as proved by photoemission spectroscopy.Additionally,the p-doped devices exhibit excellent stability in ambient air.Our findings show significant potential in future nanoelectronic and optoelectronic applications.Xiaoming Zheng Xueao Zhang Yuehua Wei Jinxin Liu Hang Yang Xiangzhe Zhang Shitan Wang Haipeng Xie Chuyun Deng Yongli Gao Han Huang 2020Nano Research2020,13,4:3

6Enhancement of oxygen evolution reaction activity and durability of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ by CO2 thermal treatment显示文摘This work demonstrates that in situ formation of carbonate layer on the surface of Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ(BSCF)obtained by exposure to CO2 during heating between 500℃ and 700℃ can provide enhanced oxygen evolution reaction(OER)performance and durability in an alkaline solution relative to the original BSCF.Three temperatures,i.e., 500℃,600℃,and 700℃ were chosen to perform the CO2 thermal treatment,resulting into BSCF-500,BSCF-600,and BSCF-700 samples.The OER was enhanced in the order of BSCF-500< BSCF-700 < BSCF-600. BSCF-600 showed the best OER performance, i.e., a low overpotential of 0.36 V required to attain 10 mA cm^-2 current density as well as a mass activity of 74.14 Agcmcat-1 and a specific activity of 5.04 mA cmcat-2 at an overpotential of 0.4 V. The OER performance durability of BSCF-600 was highlighted by its ability to maintain a stable potential of around 1.61 V vs. RHE (RHE: reversible hydrogen electrode) when charged at a constant current density of 10 mA cm^-2 throughout the 800 min continuous chronopotentiometry test. The enhanced OER performance for BSCF-600 relative to the original BSCF is attributed to three factors:(i) higher electrochemically active surface area;(ii) faster charge transfer rate and higher electrical conductivity;and (iii) modified oxidation state of cobalt ions. 7Generating long-wavelength absorption bands with enhanced deep red fluorescence and photothermal performance in fused carbon dots aggregates显示文摘Carbon dots(CDs)with long-wavelength absorptions and emissions are highly desired for biological applications.Herein,we report a new supra-CDs strategy to construct long-wavelength absorption bands based on fused CDs aggregates(f-CDAs)through a concentration-induced interparticle dehydration process among green emissive CDs(r-CDs)under solvothermal treatment.The obtained fused f-CDAs exhibit an obvious absorption band in 550-700 nm and significantly enhanced deep red fluorescence in N,N-dimethylformamide with photoluminescence quantum yields of 15.6% and high photothermal conversion efficiency up to 26.1%in water.Benefiting from the high photothermal performance,in vivo tumor photothermal therapy has been realized via intratumoral injection of f-CDAs under 655 nm laser irradiated at 0.5 W/cm^(2).Jun Wu Josh Haipeng Lei Bingchen He Chu-Xia Deng Zikang Tang Songnan Qu 2021Aggregate2021,2,6:1
8One step synthesis of efficient red emissive carbon dots and their bovine serum albumin composites with enhanced multi-photon fluorescence for in vivo bioimaging显示文摘Efficient red emissive carbon dots(CDs)in aqueous solutions are very scarce for high performance bioimaging applications.In this work,we report a one-step solvothermal treatment to synthesize pure red emissive CDs(FA-CDs)from citric acid and urea in formic acid without complicated purification procedures.Photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 43.4%was observed in their dimethyl sulfoxide solutions.High PLQY up to 21.9%in aqueous solutions was achieved in their bovine serum albumin(BSA)composites(FA-CDs@BSA)with significantly enhanced multiphoton fluorescence.The strong surface electron-withdrawing structure of FA-CDs caused by the high content of C=O groups contributes for their pure red emission.Owing to the significantly enhanced single and multi-photon red fluorescence and enlarged particle sizes after composing with BSA,in vivo tumor imaging and two-photon fluorescence imaging of blood vessels in mouse ear have been realized via intravenous injection of FA-CDs@BSA aqueous solutions.Huiqi Zhang Gang Wang Zhiming Zhang Josh Haipeng Lei Tzu-Ming Liu Guichuan Xing Chu-Xia Deng Zikang Tang Songnan Qu 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:0
9Enhanced magneto-optical Kerr effect and index sensitivity in Au/Fe_xCo_(1-x) magnetoplasmonic transducers显示文摘Magnetoplasmonic sensors are attractive candidates for ultrasensitive chemical and biomedical sensor applications.A variety of ferromagnetic metal thin films have been used for magnetoplasmonic device applications, yet the dependence of sensor performance on the optical and magneto-optical properties of ferromagnetic metal materials has been rarely studied. In this work, we report the study of enhanced magneto-optical Kerr effect(MOKE) and sensing performance in Au∕Fe_xCo_(1-x)bilayer magneto-optical surface plasmon resonance(MOSPR) transducers.The optical constants of Fe_xCo_(1-x)(x = 0, 0.29, 0.47, 0.65, and 1) in a sputter-deposited Au∕Fe_xCo_(1-x)device are characterized by the attenuated total internal reflection(ATR) method. Fe_xCo_(1-x)thin films show different MOKEs as a function of the chemical concentration, with the highest transverse MOKE signal observed in Fe_0.7Co_0.3.Index sensing performance is closely related to the material's optical and magneto-optical constants. By studying the sensing performance in the parameter space of the Au∕Fe_xCo_(1-x)bilayer thicknesses, the highest sensitivity is found to be 0.385(theoretical) and 0.306 RIU^(-1)(experimental) in the Au∕Fe_0.7Co_0.3 MOSPR devices. Our research highlights the influence of the optical properties of ferromagnetic material to device sensitivity in MOSPR transducers. 12Fault Location Detection of Transmission Lines in Noise Environments Based on Random Matrix Theory显示文摘Fault detection and location are critically significant applications of a supervisory control system in a smart grid.The methods,based on random matrix theory(RMT),have been practiced using measurements to detect short circuit faults occurring on transmission lines.However,the diagnostic accuracy is infuenced by the noise signal in the measurements.The relationship between mean eigenvalue of a random matrix and noise is detected in this paper,and the defects of the Mean Spectral Radius(MSR),as an indicator to detect faults,are theoretically determined,along with a novel indicator of the shifting degree of maximum eigenvalue and its threshold.By comparing the indicator and the threshold,the occurrence of a fault can be assessed.Finally,an augmented matrix is constructed to locate the fault area.The proposed method can effectively achieve fault detection via the RMT without any influence of noise,and also does not depend on system models.The experiment results are based on the IEEE 39-bus system.Also,actual provincial grid data is applied to validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.Jun An Zihan Deng Haipeng Chen Gang Mu 2022CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2022,8,4:0
13Performances of a prototype point-contact germanium detector immersed in liquid nitrogen for light dark matter search显示文摘The CDEX-10 experiment searches for light weakly interacting massive particles, a form of dark matter, at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory, where approximately 10 kg of germanium detectors are arranged in an array and immersed in liquid nitrogen. Herein, we report on the experimental apparatus, detector characterization, and spectrum analysis of one prototype detector. Owing to the higher rise-time resolution of the CDEX-10 prototype detector as compared with CDEX-1 B, we identified the origin of an observed category of extremely fast events. For data analysis of the CDEX-10 prototype detector, we introduced and applied an improved bulk/surface event discrimination method. The results of the new method were compared to those of the CDEX-1 B spectrum. 14Fine mapping and transcriptome sequencing reveal candidate genes conferring all-stage resistance to stripe rust on chromosome arm 1AL in Chinese wheat landrace AS1676显示文摘Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici(Pst), threatens wheat production worldwide, and resistant varieties tend to become susceptible after a period of cultivation owing to the variation of pathogen races. In this study, a new resistance gene against Pst race CYR34 was identified and predicted using the descendants of a cross between AS1676, a highly resistant Chinese landrace, and Avocet S, a susceptible cultivar. From a heterozygous plant from a F7recombinant inbred line(RIL) population lacking the Yr18 gene, a near-isogenic line(NIL) population was developed to map the resistance gene. An allstage resistance gene, YrAS1676, was identified on chromosome arm 1AL via bulked-segregant exomecapture sequencing. By analyzing a large NIL population consisting of 6537 plants, the gene was further mapped to the marker interval between KA1A_485.36 and KA1A_490.13, spanning 485.36–490.13 Mb on1AL. A total of 66 annotated genes have been reported in this region. To characterize and predict the candidate gene(s), an RNA-seq was performed using NIL-R and NIL-S seedlings 3 days after CYR34 inoculation. Compared to NIL-S plants, NIL-R plants showed stronger immune reaction and higher expression levels of genes encoding pathogenesis-associated proteins. These differences may help to explain why NIL-R plants were more resistant to Pst race CYR34 than NIL-S plants. By combining fine-mapping and transcriptome sequencing, a calcium-dependent protein kinase gene was finally predicted as the potential candidate gene of YrAS1676. This gene contained a single-nucleotide polymorphism. The candidate gene was more highly expressed in NIL-R than in NIL-S plants. In field experiments with Pst challenge,the YrAS1676 genotype showed mitigation of disease damage and yield loss without adverse effects on tested agronomic traits.
