1Modulation characteristics and microwave generation for AlGaInAs/InP microring lasers under four-wave mixing显示文摘The dynamic characteristics are investigated for a microring laser with an external radius of 12μm subject to external optical injection.Single-mode operation with a side mode suppression ratio of 33.4 dB is realized at a biasing current of 25 mA and a temperature of 290 K,and the corresponding small-signal modulation response is obtained with a resonance peak frequency of 7.5 GHz.Under the optical injection from a tunable laser,the improvements of the small-signal modulation response induced by four-wave mixing are observed for the microring laser,which shows an additional resonance peak around the frequency of the beat frequency between the lasing mode and the injecting light.Furthermore,optical generation of a microwave signal is realized by the light beating between the lasing mode and the injecting light measured by a high-speed photodetector and a spectrum analyzer.Ling-Xiu Zou Yong-Zhen Huang Xiao-Meng Lv Bo-Wen Liu Heng Long Yue-De Yang Jin-Long Xiao Yun Du 2014Photonics Research2014,2,6:6
2Critical function of DNA methyltransferase 1 in tomato development and regulation of the DNA methylome and transcriptome显示文摘DNA methylation confers epigenetic regulation on gene expression and thereby on various biological processes.Tomato has emerged as an excellent system to study the function of DNA methylation in plant development.To date,regulation and function of DNA methylation maintenance remains unclear in tomato plants.Here,we report the critical function of tomato(Solanum lycopersicum)Methyltransferase 1(Sl MET1)in plant development and DNA methylome and transcriptome regulation.Using CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing,we generated slmet1 mutants and observed severe developmental defects with a frame-shift mutation,including small and curly leaves,defective inflorescence,and parthenocarpy.In leaf tissues,mutations in Sl MET1 caused CG hypomethylation and CHH hypermethylationon a whole-genome scale,leading to a disturbed transcriptome including ectopic expression of many RIN target genes such as ACC2 in leaf tissues,which are normally expressed in fruits.Neither the CG hypomethylation nor CHH hypermethylation in the slmet1 mutants is related to tissue culture.Meanwhile,tissue culture induces non-CG hypomethylation,which occurs more frequently at gene regions than at TE regions.Our results depict Sl MET1-and tissue culture-dependent tomato DNA methylomes,and that Sl MET1 is required for maintaining a normal transcriptome and normal development of tomato.Yu Yang Kai Tang Tatsiana U Datsenka Wenshan Liu Suhui Lv Zhaobo Lang Xingang Wang Jinghui Gao Wei Wang Wenfeng Nie Zhaoqing Chu Heng Zhang Avtar K HANDa Jian-Kang Zhu Huiming Zhang 2019Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2019,61,12:3
3Recent progress of porcine milk components and mammary gland function显示文摘As the only nutritional source for newborn piglets,porcine colostrum and milk contain critical nutritional and immunological components including carbohydrates,lipids,and proteins(immunoglobulins).However,porcine milk composition is more complex than these three components.Recently,scientists identified additional and novel components of sow colostrum and milk,including exosomes,oligosaccharides,and bacteria,which possibly act as biological signals and modulate the intestinal environment and immune status in piglets and later in life.Evaluation of these nutritional and non-nutritional components in porcine milk will help better understand the nutritional and biological function of porcine colostrum and milk.Furthermore,some important functions of the porcine mammary gland have been reported in recent published literature.These preliminary studies hypothesized how glucose,amino acids,and fatty acids are transported from maternal blood to the porcine mammary gland for milk synthesis.Therefore,we summarized recent reports on sow milk composition and porcine mammary gland function in this review,with particular emphasis on macronutrient transfer and synthesis mechanisms,which might offer a possible approach for regulation of milk synthesis in the future.Shihai Zhang Fang Chen Yinzhi Zhang Yantao Lv Jinghui Heng Tian Min Lilang Li Wutai Guan 2019Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2019,10,1:2
4Tea polyphenols inhibit the growth and angiogenesis of breast cancer xenografts in a mouse model显示文摘Objective:To investigate the anti-angiogenic effect of tea polyphenols(TPS)on breast cancer and normal tissues in a mouse model.Methods:Breast cancer was successfully implanted into 48 BALB/c mice,which were then randomly divided into a TP oral gavage group,a TP local injection group,a ginsenoside Rg3 group,and a model control group according to a random number table.The tumor inhibitory rates of each group were calculated,while microvessel density(MVD)and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF),and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase(TIMP-2)were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:TPs could inhibit the growth of breast cancer xenografts in the mouse model.The tumor inhibition rates of the TP oral gavage and TP local injection groups were 37.43%and 40.94%,respectively.Compared with the model control group,MVD and VEGF and bFGF expression was downregulated(all P<.05),whereas TIMP-2 expression was elevated in the TP oral gavage and TP local injection groups(P=.015 and P=.032).TPs showed no significant effect on MVD and VEGF and TIMP-2 expression in the heart,brain,and kidney of the mouse model.Conclusion:TPs can restrict the growth of breast cancer by specifically inhibiting the angiogenesis of breast tumor tissue while having little effect on the normal tissue of important organs including the heart,brain,and kidney.Peng Lv Fengqin Shi Xinyi Chen Li Xu Chong Wang Shaodan Tian Heng Yang Li Hou 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2:2
5Targeting macrophagic SHP2 for ameliorating osteoarthritis via TLR signaling显示文摘Osteoarthritis(OA),in which M1 macrophage polarization in the synovium exacerbates disease progression,is a major cause of cartilage degeneration and functional disabilities.Therapeutic strategies of OA designed to interfere with the polarization of macrophages have rarely been reported.Here,we report that SHP099,as an allosteric inhibitor of src-homology 2-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 2(SHP2),attenuated osteoarthritis progression by inhibiting M1 macrophage polarization.We demonstrated that M1 macrophage polarization was accompanied by the overexpression of SHP2 in the synovial tissues of OA patients and OA model mice.Compared to wild-type(WT)mice,myeloid lineage conditional Shp2 knockout(c KO)mice showed decreased M1 macrophage polarization and attenuated severity of synovitis,an elevated expression of cartilage phenotype protein collagen II(COL2),and a decreased expression of cartilage degradation markers collagen X(COL10)and matrix metalloproteinase3(MMP3)in OA cartilage.Further mechanistic analysis showed that SHP099 inhibited lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced Toll-like receptor(TLR)signaling mediated by nuclear factor kappa B(NF-κB)and PI3K—AKT signaling.Moreover,intra-articular injection of SHP099 also significantly attenuated OA progression,including joint synovitis and cartilage damage.These results indicated that allosteric inhibition of SHP2 might be a promising therapeutic strategy for the treatment of OA.Ziying Sun Qianqian Liu Zhongyang Lv Jiawei Li Xingquan Xu Heng Sun Maochun Wang Kuoyang Sun Tianshu Shi Zizheng Liu Guihua Tan Wenqiang Yan Rui Wu Yannick Xiaofan Yang Shiro Ikegawa Qing Jiang Yang Sun Dongquan Shi 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,7:2

7A COVID-19 case report from asymptomatic contact:implication for contact isolation and incubation management显示文摘Background:As of 2 March,2020,at least 80151 coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases were reported in China.Most of the patients had a history of visiting Hubei Province or contacting with people who had ever stayed in or passed by Hubei Province or were exposed to symptoms.Some patients got infected through only asymptomatic contact.This study aimed to report the epidemic features and lab identification of a patient confirmed with COVID-19 infection through only asymptomatic contact.Case presentation:A 44-year-old man,who lived in Nanchang,Jiangxi Province,China until 6 March 2020,suffered from cough on 27 January 2020.Fever symptoms appeared on 28 January,with a maximum temperature of 38.8℃,accompanied by cough,sore throat,headache,fatigue,muscle ache,joint ache,and other symptoms.The symptoms continued until he was hospitalized on 30 January.Coronavirus conventional polymerase chain reaction assay was positive for the throat swab sample.The patient,along with his wife and son,drove from Nanchang to back to Honghu City,Hubei Province,on 23 January 2020.After staying with his parents and brother’s family for 3 days,the patient drove back to Nanchang and arrived on 25 January.On the way back home,they stopped by Tongshan service area,Hubei Province,without any close contact with other people.After arriving home in Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province,none of them left their residence.In addition,his parents stayed at home for 20 days with his younger brother’s family before they got back.His younger brother and one of his brother’s children visited Wuhan on 5 January and came home on 6 January 2020.Conclusions:This report suggested that,in the early phase of COVID-19 pneumonia,routine screening could miss patients who were virus carriers.Highlighting travel history is of paramount importance for the early detection and isolation of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 cases.Chang-Qiang Zhu Shi-Ding Gao Yan Xu Xiao-Hong Yang Fu-Qiang Ye Le-Le Ai Rui-Chen Lv Bin Zhang Yin Li Heng Lv Yun-Sheng Liu Chun-Meng Shi Chun-Hui Wang Wei-Long Tan 2020Infectious Diseases of Poverty2020,9,3:1

10A trajectory planning method on error compensation of residual height for aero-engine blades of robotic belt grinding显示文摘While the traditional trajectory planning methods are used in robotic belt grinding of blades with an uneven machining allowance distribution, it is hard to obtain the preferable profile accuracy and surface quality to meet the high-performance requirements of aero-engine. To solve this problem, a novel trajectory planning method is proposed in this paper by considering the developed interpolation algorithm and the machining allowance threshold. The residual height error obtained from grinding experiments of titanium alloy sample was compensated to modify the calculation model of row spacing, and a new geometric algorithm was presented to dynamically calculate the cutter contact points based on this revised calculation model and the dichotomy method. Subsequently, the off-line machining program is generated based on a double-vector controlling method to obtain an optimal contact posture. On this basis, three sets of robotic grinding tests of titanium alloy blades were conducted to investigate the advantages of the proposed method.The comparative experimental results revealed that the presented algorithm had improved the surface profile accuracy of blade by 34.2% and 55.1%, respectively. Moreover, the average machined surface roughness was achieved to 0.3 μm and the machining efficiency was obviously promoted. 17Species diversity, updated classification and divergence times of the phylum Mucoromycota显示文摘Zygomycetes are phylogenetically early diverging,ecologically diverse,industrially valuable,agriculturally beneficial,and clinically pathogenic fungi.Although new phyla and subphyla have been constantly established to accommodate spe-cific members and a subkingdom Mucoromyceta,comprising Calcarisporiellomycota,Glomeromycota,Mortierellomycota and Mucoromycota,was erected to unite core zygomycetous fungi,phylogenetic relationships within phyla have not been well resolved.Taking account of the information of monophyly and divergence time estimated from ITS and LSU rDNA sequences,the present study updates the classification framework of the phylum Mucoromycota from the class down to the generic rank:three classes,three orders,20 families(including five new families Circinellaceae,Protomycocladaceae,Rhizomucoraceae,Syzygitaceae and Thermomucoraceae)and 64 genera.The taxonomic hierarchy was calibrated with estimated divergence times:phylum earlier than 617 Mya,classes and orders earlier than 547 Mya,families earlier than 199 Mya,and genera earlier than 12 Mya.Along with this outline,all genera of Mucoromycota are annotated and 58 new species are described.In addition,three new combinations are proposed.In this study,we update the taxonomic backbone of the phylum Mucoromycota and reinforce its phylogeny.We also contribute numerous new taxa and enrich the diversity of Mucoromycota.Heng Zhao Yong Nie Tong-Kai Zong Ke Wang Mei-Lin Lv Yu-Jin Cui Ablat Tohtirjap Jia-Jia Chen Chang-Lin Zhao Fang Wu Bao-Kai Cui Yuan Yuan Yu-Cheng Dai Xiao-Yong Liu 2023Fungal Diversity2023,,6:0
18Expression of Kisspeptin/kiss1r System is Down-regulated in the Hypothalamic Arcuate Nucleus of Pubertal Male Rats with High-fat-diet显示文摘Objective To explore the potential function of nutrition on kisspeptin/kisspeptin receptor(kiss1r) system in the arcuate nucleus(ARC) of male rats.Methods Pregnant rats were obtained and male pups were used to establish obesity model. Body parameters and blood samples were evaluated. Immunohistochemistry was used to determine the localizations and protein levels of kisspeptin, kiss1r, and leptin receptor(LepR) immunoreactivity(IR) in ARC. QRT-PCR was used to determine kiss1-, kiss1r-, LepR-, and GnRH-mRNA levels.Results The establishment of obesity model was successful as body parameters and hormones levels changed noticeably. Kisspeptin-, kiss1r-, and LepR-IR were detected and protein levels decreased significantly in high-fat-diets(HFD) rats than controls.The mRNA levels of kiss1, LepR and GnRH significantly decreased in the ARC of HFD-fed rats. 19MOF-derived Se doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) as cathode and Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane as anode for rocking-chair zinc-ion battery显示文摘Mn-based zinc ion battery has the advantages of low cost and high performance,which makes it the promising energy storage system.However,the poor conductivity and the agglomeration in the synthesis process of manganese-based materials restrict the performance of batteries.Herein,the Se-doped MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x))composite material derived from Mn-based metal-organic framework is reported.Electrochemical tests show that Se-doped could generate S defects and enhance the electrochemical activity of MnS.At the same time,the introduction of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) substrate is conducive to exposing more sulfur defects and improving the utilization rate of defects.In the mechanism study,it is found that Se-MnS/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) is transformed into S/Se co-doped Mn3O_(4) at the first charge,which innovatively elucidated the behavior of S/Se during activation.In the electrochemical performance test,the specific capacity can reach 74.7 mAh·g^(-1) at 5.0 A·g^(-1).In addition,the Zn-Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) membrane electrode is prepared by vacuum filtration as the zinc-poor anode,which is assembled into the rocking chair full battery to avoid dendrite growth and exhibit excellent rate performance.The addition of Zn2+weakens the electrostatic repulsion between the interlayers of MXene,and the formation of the folded morphology aids the penetration of the electrolyte.At 1.0 A·g^(-1),the capacity can reach 50.6 mAh·g^(-1).This work is helpful to promote the research and development of the reaction mechanism of manganese based rocking chair batteries.Kaisheng Sun Zemao Xiao Yunfei Shen Heng Lv Jianpeng Zhu Jianxiang Pang Yang Zheng Wenwen Kong Long Chen 2024Nano Research2024,17,4:0
20Effect of carbon addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of a typical hard-to-deform Ni-base superalloy显示文摘In this paper,the as-cast microstructure,microsegregation,and mechanical properties of GH4151 superalloys with a carbon addition were studied by scanner electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM),electron probe microanalysis(EPMA),differential thermal analyzer(DSC),and electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD).The results show that the solid solution effect of carbon in alloys is limited,the addition of C from 0.01 to 0.08wt%significantly refines the secondary dendrite spacing(SDAS)from 61.7 to 57.4 and 51.8μm.Due to the influence of thermal solutal convection,the most severe segregation is found in the C-0.04 alloy,and the solidification ranges of C-0.01,C-0.04,and C-0.08 alloys are 87℃,96℃,and 83℃,respectively.Owing to the reduced solidification pores and formed finely dispersed carbides,C-0.04 shows excellent ultimate tensile strength(442MPa)and superior total elongation(1.368%)at 1100℃ much better than that of C-0.01(130.7MPa,0.085%)and C-0.08(248MPa,1.026%).Lei Jia Heng Cui Shufeng Yang Shaomin Lv Xingfei Xie Jinglong Qu 2023Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2023,33,2:0
