1Effect of neutrophil CD64 for diagnosing sepsis in emergency department显示文摘BACKGROUND:The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of neutrophil CD64(nCD64)as a novel biomarker in sepsis patients.METHODS:One hundred fifty-one adult patients diagnosed with sepsis and 20 age-matched healthy controls were enrolled in the study.Patients with sepsis were further subdivided into a sepsis group and a septic shock group.nCD64 expression,serum procalcitonin(PCT)level,C-reactive protein(CRP)level,and white blood cell(WBC)count were obtained for each patient,and Sequential Organ Failure Assessment(SOFA)scores were calculated.RESULTS:nCD64 expression was higher in the sepsis group with confirmed infection than in the control group.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of nCD64 was higher than those of SOFA score,PCT,CRP and WBC for diagnosing infection.The area under the curve(AUC)of nCD64 combined with SOFA score was the highest for all parameters.The AUC of nCD64 for predicting 28-day mortality in sepsis was signifi cantly higher than those of PCT,CRP,and WBC,but slightly lower than that of SOFA score.The AUC of nCD64 or PCT combined with SOFA score was signifi cantly higher than that of any single parameter for predicting 28-day mortality.CONCLUSION:nCD64 expression and SOFA score are valuable parameters for early diagnosis of infection and prognostic evaluation of sepsis patients.Wen-peng Yin Jia-bao Li Xiao-fang Zheng Le An Huan Shao Chun-sheng Li 2020World Journal of Emergency Medicine2020,11,2:23
2Evolution of boundary layer ozone in Shijiazhuang,a suburban site on the North China Plain显示文摘The structure of the boundary layer affects the evolution of ozone(O3), and research into this structure will provide important insights for understanding photochemical pollution.In this study, we conducted a one-month observation(from June 15 to July 14, 2016) of the boundary layer meteorological factors as well as O3 and its precursors in Luancheng County,Shijiazhuang(37°53′N, 114°38′E). Our research showed that photochemical pollution in Shijiazhuang is serious, and the mean hourly maximum and mean 8-hr maximum O3 concentrations are 97.9 ± 26.1 and 84.4 ± 22.4 ppbV, respectively. Meteorological factors play a significant role in the formation of O3. High temperatures and southeasterly winds lead to elevated O3 values, and at moderate relative humidity(40%–50%) and medium boundary layer heights(1200–1500 m), O3 production sensitivity occurred in the transitional region between volatile organic compounds(VOC) and nitrogen oxides(NOx) limitations,and the O3 concentration was the highest. The vertical profiles of O3 were also measured by a tethered balloon. The results showed that a large amount of O3 was stored in the residual layer, and the concentration was positively correlated with the O3 concentration measured the previous day. 4High quality reference genome of drumstick tree(Moringa oleifera Lam.), a potential perennial crop显示文摘The drumstick tree(Moringa oleifera Lam.) is a perennial crop that has gained popularity in certain developing countries for its high-nutrition content and adaptability to arid and semi-arid environments. Here we report a high-quality draft genome sequence of M. oleifera. This assembly represents 91.78% of the estimated genome size and contains 19,465 protein-coding genes. Comparative genomic analysis between M. oleifera and related woody plant genomes helps clarify the general evolution of this species, while the identification of several species-specific gene families and positively selected genes in M. oleifera may help identify genes related to M. oleifera's high protein content, fast-growth, heat and stress tolerance. 5S and Pb Isotopic Constraints on the Relationship between the Linong Granodiorite and the Yangla Copper Deposit,Yunnan,China显示文摘The Yangla copper deposit, located in western Yunnan Province, China, is a typical giant, newly started mining copper deposit with an estimated Cu reserves of about 1,200,000 tons. The deposit is spatially and temporally associated with the Linong granodiorite, which is rich in SiO2 (SiO2=58.25 wt%-69.84 wt%) and alkalis (Na2O+K2O=5.98 wt%-8.34 wt%), indicating an association with shoshonitic series to high-K calc-alkaline series granites, and shows low contents of TiO2 (0.35 wt%-0.48 wt%), MgO (1.51 wt%-1.72 wt%), and Al2O3 (13.38 wt%-19.75 wt%). The δ34S values of sulfides of the main ore stage from copper ores vary range from ?4.2‰ to ?0.9‰, indicating a much greater contribution from the mantle to the ore-forming fluids. The δ34S values of the late ore stage is 9.8‰, indicating enrichment of biogenic sulfur which may derive from the crustal hydrothermal fluid. The 208Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb and 206Pb/204Pb of sulfides of the main ore stage from copper ores range within 38.66-38.73, 15.71-15.74 and 18.35-19.04, respectively, implying that the Pb was derived from the mantle, with the crustal component, probably representing mixtures of mantle lead and crustal lead. Sulfide of the late ore stage in their Pb isotopic composition, 208Pb/204Pb= 38.69, 207Pb/204Pb=15.70, 206Pb/204Pb=18.35, implying that the Pb was derived from the crust. The Linong granodiorite is syn-collisional, produced by partial melting of thickened lower crust, which was triggered by the westward subduction of the Jinshajiang Oceanic plate. During a transition in geodynamic setting from collision-related compression to extension, gently dipping ductile shear zones (related to subduction) were transformed to brittle shear zones, consisting of a series of thrust faults in the Jinshajiang tectonic belt. The tensional thrust faults would have been a favorable environment for ore-forming fluids. The ascending magma provided a channel for the ore-forming fluid from the mantle wedge. After the magma arrived at the base of the early-stage Linong granodiorite, the platy granodiorite at the base of the body would have shielded the late-stage magma from the fluid. 9Mesozoic basins and associated palaeogeographic evolution in North China显示文摘In North China, the Mesozoic terrestrial basins, sedimentary palaeogeography and tectonic settings involved five evolutionary stages:(1) the Early-Middle Triassic,(2) the Late Triassic to Early-Middle Jurassic,(3) the Late Jurassic to early Early Cretaceous,(4) the middle-late Early Cretaceous and(5) the Late Cretaceous. The regional punctuated tectonic events occurred during these evolutionary stages. During the Early-Middle Triassic(stage 1), the Xingmeng Orogenic Belt(XMOB, i.e., eastern part of Central Asia Orogenic Belt, CAOB) of the northern North China was settled in the transition of tectonic environment from syn-orogenic compression to post-orogenic extension with intensive uplifting. It is a main provenance in the unified Ordos-North China Basin.The united continental plate of China and the Qinling-Dabie-Sulu Orogenic Belt formed due to convergence and collision between the North China Plate and the Yangtze Plate along two suture zones of the Mianlue and the Shangdan in the terminal Middle Triassic. During the Late Triassic to the Early-Middle Jurassic(stage 2), the Late Triassic mafic or alkaline rocks and intrusions occurred on the northern and southern margins of North China Craton(NCC) and XMOB, implying that intensified extension happened all over the North China(early phase of stage 2). Additionally, in the late phase of stage 2, the basic volcanicfilling faulted basins were widely distributed in the northeastern North China during the EarlyMiddle Jurassic, including a series of small- to medium-sized basins with coal-bearing strata and some volcanic rocks in other areas of North China, which was the result of subduction of the Palaeo-Pacific Plate during the Early-Middle Jurassic. An active continental margin with accretionary complex developed in the eastern Heilongjiang of China, Japan and the Far East of Russia at that time. However, in the end of the Early-Middle Jurassic, because of the Yanshanian orogeny characterized by complicated thrust and fold, the previous unified OrdosNorth China Basin was separated by the northeast-oriented Great Xing'an Range and Taihang Mountain uplifted linearment. The differential evolution of basins and sedimentary palaeogeography between eastern and western North China was initiated, and was interpreted to result in the closure of Okhotsk Ocean and the subduction of Palaeo-Pacific Plate(late stage 2). During the Late Jurassic(the early phase of stage 3), a variety of faulted basins occurred in the Yanshan and Yinshan areas in the northeastern North China. In Yanshan area, basins were filled with thickened intermediate volcanic rocks and purple-red coarse-grained clastic rocks. In contrast, only thick layered sedimentary rocks with rare volcanic rocks developed in the Yinshan faulted basins, the Ordos Basin and basins in sourthern North China. XMOB wasthe main provenance of the Early Mesozoic basins in the North China, while the Ordos Basin and the Hefei Basin were partly supplied by the northern Qinling Orogenic Belt. During the Late Jurassic-early Early Cretaceous(the late phase of stage 3), the northern and northeastern North China experienced extensional movement after the subduction of the Palaeo-Pacific Plate, the closure of the Mongolia-Okhotsk Ocean and the subsequent Yanshanian orogeny. At the same time, a NE-oriented, giant rift basin system(NE Asia Rift) extended from the Yanshan to the western Great Xing'an Range, where rift basins were filled with the regional, NE-oriented, thick coarse-grained clastic rocks and a belt of volcanic rocks. In the meantime, the eastern and northeastern China and most areas of NCC were presented as highland terrains. During the middle-late Early Cretaceous(stage 4), rift basins developed and accumulated alluvial sediments and interbedded alkaline volcanic rocks in the western and northern North China, including Yingen, Ejinaqi and Erlian regions. Basins were formed on both sides of the Tan-Lu Fault Zone under a striking-slipping force. Furthermore, faulted basins developed in the Yishu Fault Zone of Shandong(central Tan-Lu Fault Zone) as well, where dinosaur fauna flourished. Basic volcanic rocks and fluvial-lacustrine sediments were deposited in small- or medium-sized rift basins in the northeastern China. The Songliao Basin was a typical giant basin that was mainly filled with late Early Cretaceous lacustrine sediments. A group of rift basins occurred in the Sanjiang area, central Heilongjiang Province, northeastern China. From the middle-late Early Cretaceous to the Late Cretaceous(stage 5), depositional and subsiding center of the basins constantly shifted southeastwards in Heilongjiang Province. The tectonic setting changed into the Palaeo-Pacific continental margin in north and northeastern China. Besides, during the Late Mesozoic, a huge terrestrial biota, mainly dinosaur fauna, dominated in North China. The Yanliao biota of the Middle-Late Jurassic and the Jehol biota of the Early Cretaceous are characterized by feathered dinosaurs, primitive birds, mammals, pterosaur, insects and plants(angiosperms). 10Association between Metabolic Syndrome and Carotid Atherosclerosis: A Cross-sectional Study in Northern China显示文摘Objective Increased carotid artery intima-media thickness(CIMT)and carotid plaque as manifestations of carotid atherosclerosis have been used as markers of cardiovascular disease(CVD).The components of metabolic syndrome(Met S)are linked to CVD,but the association between Met S and CVD is controversial.Methods A total of 8,933 Chinese adults aged 40 years or older from 2010 to 2014 were selected from the Jidong and Kailuan communities.Met S was defined by the International Diabetes Federation criteria.CIMT and carotid plaque were measured using color Doppler ultrasound.Logistic regression models were used to assess the association of Met S with carotid plaque and CIMT.Results Met S was found among 3,461(3,461/8,933)participants.The odds ratio and 95%confidence internal(CI)for carotid plaques in participants with Met S was 1.16(1.03-1.30).The risk of carotid plaques increased with the number of Met S components.The average CIMT was higher in participants with Met S(β=0.020,95%CI,0.014-0.027)and in participants with more Met S components.Conclusion Individuals with Met S are at an increased risk for carotid atherosclerosis compared to those without MetS.ZHOU Ping An ZHANG Chen Huan CHEN Yan Ru LI Dong SONG Dai Yu LIU Hua Min ZHOU Ming Yue SONG Guo Shun CHEN Sheng Yun 2019Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2019,32,12:6
11Rapid identification of chemical profile in Gandou decoction by UPLCQ-TOF-MSE coupled with novel informatics UNIFI platform显示文摘Gandou decoction(GDD),a well-known traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formula,has been widely used for decades to treat Wilson's disease(WD)in China due to its remarkable clinical effects.However,the chemical constituents of GDD still remain unclear because of their complexity.In this work,a reliable and sensitive strategy based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MSE)and UNIFI informatics platform was applied to investigate the chemical components in GDD.In total,96 compounds including anthraquinones,alkaloids,protostane triterpenoids,flavonoids,triterpenoid saponins,tannins,curcuminoids,etc,were identified or tentatively characterized from GDD by comparing their retention time,accurate mass within 5 ppm error and MSE fragmentation patterns.Among them,eleven compounds were confirmed unambiguously with reference standards.Representative compounds in different chemical structure types were analyzed in fragmentation patterns and characteristic ions.Moreover,to better understand the chemical contribution of individual herbs to the whole decoction,the corresponding each herb in GDD was also detected.This study developed a rapid method for characterizing the chemical constituents in GDD,which could not only be used for chemical standardization and quality control,but also be helpful for further research of GDD in vivo.Li Xu Yi Liu Hongfei Wu Huan Wu Xiaochuang Liu An Zhou 2020Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,1:6
12Mechanism of Burn Resistance of Alloy Ti40显示文摘The Ti fire found in high performance engines promotes the development of burn resistant Ti alloys. The burn resistant mechanism of Ti40 alloy is investigated. Ti40 alloy reveals good burn resistance. Its intedecial products between burning products and the matrix are tenacious, which retard the diffusion of oxygen into the matrix. 13Transverse mode instability mitigation in a high-power confined-doped fiber amplifier with good beam quality through seed laser control显示文摘In this work,a confined-doped fiber with the core/inner-cladding diameter of 40/250μm and a relative doping ratio of 0.75 is fabricated through a modified chemical vapor deposition method combined with the chelate gas deposition technique,and subsequently applied in a tandem-pumped fiber amplifier for high-power operation and transverse mode instability(TMI)mitigation.Notably,the impacts of the seed laser power and mode purity are preliminarily investigated through comparative experiments.It is found that the TMI threshold could be significantly affected by the seed laser mode purity.The possible mechanism behind this phenomenon is proposed and revealed through comprehensive comparative experiments and theoretical analysis.Finally,a maximum output power of 7.49 kW is obtained with the beam quality factor of approximately 1.83,which is the highest output power ever reported in a forward tandem-pumped confined-doped fiber amplifier.This work could provide a good reference and practical solution to improve the TMI threshold and realize high-power high-brightness fiber lasers.Hanshuo Wu Haobo Li Yi An Ruixian Li Xiao Chen Hu Xiao Liangjin Huang Huan Yang Zhiping Yan Jinyong Leng Zhiyong Pan Pu Zhou 2022High Power Laser Science and Engineering2022,10,6:3
14Detrital zircon dating and tracing the provenance of dinosaur bone beds from the Late Cretaceous Wangshi Group in Zhucheng, Shandong, East China显示文摘The mass burial of dinosaur bone fossils in the Late Cretaceous Wangshi Group in Zhucheng,Shandong Province has been a research focus in recent years.However,the provenance of the dinosaur bone fossils and the accurate depositional age of the bone beds remain ambiguous.Through U-Pb dating of detrital zircons collected from six conglomerate samples from the dinosaur bone beds,we found that the youngest single grain age(YSG) of sample 090414-24-D was 77.3 Ma,representing the maximum depositional age of the dinosaur fossil beds and sediments.This also indicates that the Hongtuya Formation was deposited during the Campanian.Dating results revealed an age peak of 120-110 Ma,which corresponds with the peak age of volcanic rocks of the Lower Cretaceous Qingshan Group.The volcanic rocks of the Qingshan Group are mainly exposed in Laiyang,to the north of Zhucheng,although a few also appear to the south and northwest.Through analysis of conglomerate composition and palaeocurrents in the sediments containing the bone beds,we found that the three different data sets of gravel compositions of the conglomerates were mainly composed of volcanic or pyroclastic rocks.Three different data sets of palaeocurrents suggested that the main sediment source of the Wangshi Group dinosaur bone beds was from the north-northwest of the Basin.Only one data set had a provenance south of the basin.This study revealed that the areas of Laiyang and the Yishu Fault Zone were the main provenance areas of both the dinosaur bone fossils and the sediments of the Wangshi Group in Zhucheng.The southern margin of the Zhucheng Basin may be a secondary source area.This research provides an important basis for judging the deposition time and the sediment source of fossil layers in the Wangshi Group,as well as reconstructing the palaeogeography of the Wangshi Group in the Jiaolai Basin.Wei An Hong-Wei Kuang Yong-Qing Liu Nan Peng Ke-Min Xu Huan Xu Peng Zhang Ke-Bai Wang Shu-Qing Chen Yan-Xia Zhang 2016Journal of Palaeogeography2016,5,1:3

16AEG1通过激活NF-κB和AP-1诱导肝癌HepG2细胞COX-2表达(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate whether astrocyte elevated gene 1 (AEG1) regulates COX-2 expression in human hepatoma HepG2 cells and related pathways involved in this process. Methods:Human hepatoma HepG2 cells were transfected with pcDNA3.1(-)-AEG1 plasmid or psilencer2.0-AEG1-shRNA1 plasmid to up/down-regulate AEG1 expression, pcDNA3.1(-) and psilencer 2.0 empty vector plasmids were transfected respectively as control. Real-time RT-PCR was carried out to measure the expression levels of AEG1 and COX-2 mRNA. The expression levels of AEG1 and COX-2 protein were detected by Western blot. NF-κB signaling was blocked by PDTC, and AP-1 signaling was blocked by curcumin. Results:AEG1 mRNA and protein levels were increased after pcDNA3.1(-)-AEG1 transfection, and decreased after psilencer2.0-AEG1-shRNAs transfection. COX-2 mRNA and protein levels were increased in AEG1-overexpressing cells and decreased in AEG1-knockdown cells. Phosphorylations of p65 and c-jun were up-regulated in AEG1-overexpressing cells. Both PDTC and curcumin reduced COX-2 expression in HepG2 cells with AEG1 overexpression. Conclusion:AEG1-overexpressing and-knockdown HepG2 cells are established successfully. 17Climatology of Cloud-base Height from Long-term Radiosonde Measurements in China显示文摘Clouds are critical to the global radiation budget and hydrological cycle, but knowledge is still poor concerning the observed climatology of cloud-base height(CBH) in China. Based on fine-resolution sounding observations from the China Radiosonde Network(CRN), the method used to estimate CBH was modified, and uncertainty analyses indicated that the CBH is good enough. The accuracy of CBH estimation is verified by the comparison between the sounding-derived CBHs and those estimated from the micro-pulse lidar and millimeter-wave cloud radar. As such, the CBH climatology was compiled for the period 2006–16. Overall, the CBH exhibits large geographic variability across China, at both 0800 Local Standard Time(LST) and 2000 LST, irrespective of season. In addition, the summertime cloud base tends to be elevated to higher altitudes in dry regions [i.e., Inner Mongolia and the North China Plain(NCP)]. By comparison, the Tibetan Plateau(TP),Pearl River Delta(PRD) and Sichuan Basin(SCB) have relatively low CBHs(< 2.4 km above ground level). In terms of seasonality, the CBH reaches its maximum in summer and minimum in winter. A low cloud base tends to occur frequently(> 70%) over the TP, PRD and SCB. In contrast, at most sites over the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) and the NCP, about half the cloud belongs to the high-cloud category. The CBH does not exhibit marked diurnal variation in summer, throughout all CRN sites, probably due to the persistent cloud coverage caused by the East Asia Summer Monsson. 19Experimental investigations on small-and full-scale ship models with polyurea coatings subjected to underwater explosion显示文摘Nowadays, the mitigation of damage to a ship caused by the underwater explosion attracts more and more attention from the modern ship designers. In this study, two kinds of scale tests were conducted to investigate the effects of polyurea coatings on the blast resistance of hulls subjected to underwater explosion. Firstly, small-scale model tests with different polyurea coatings were carried out. Results indicate that polyurea has a better blast resistance performance when coated on the front face, which can effectively reduce the maximum deflection of the steel plate by more than 20% and reduce the deformation energy by 35.7%-45.4%. Next, a full-scale ship(approximately 50 m × 9 m) under loadings produced by the detonation of 33 kg of spherical TNT charges was tested, where a part of the ship was coated with polyurea on the front face(8 mm + 24 mm) and not on the contrast area. Damage characteristics on the bottom were statistically analyzed based on a 3D scanning technology, indicating that polyurea contributes to enhancing the blast protection of the ship. However, damage results of this test were different from those of the small-scale tests.
