Long-term bone and lung consequences associated with hospital-acquired severe acute respiratory syndrome:a 15-year follow-up from a prospective cohort study显示文摘The most severe sequelae after rehabilitation from SARS are femoral head necrosis and pulmonary fibrosis. We performed a 15-year follow-up on the lung and bone conditions of SARS patients. We evaluated the recovery from lung damage and femoral head necrosis in an observational cohort study of SARS patients using pulmonary CT scans, hip joint MRI examinations, pulmonary function tests and hip joint function questionnaires. Eighty medical staff contracted SARS in 2003. Two patients died of SARS, and78 were enrolled in this study from August 2003 to March 2018. Seventy-one patients completed the 15-year follow-up. The percentage of pulmonary lesions on CT scans diminished from 2003(9.40 ± 7.83)% to 2004(3.20 ± 4.78)%(P < 0.001) and remained stable thereafter until 2018(4.60 ± 6.37)%. Between 2006 and 2018, the proportion of patients with interstitial changes who had improved pulmonary function was lower than that of patients without lesions, as demonstrated by the one-second ratio(FEV1/FVC%, t = 2.21, P = 0.04) and mid-flow of maximum expiration(FEF25%–75%, t = 2.76, P = 0.01). The volume of femoral head necrosis decreased significantly from 2003(38.83 ± 21.01)% to 2005(30.38 ± 20.23)%(P = 0.000 2), then declined slowly from 2005 to 2013(28.99 ± 20.59)% and plateaued until 2018(25.52 ± 15.51)%. Pulmonary interstitial damage and functional decline caused by SARS mostly recovered, with a greater extent of recovery within 2 years after rehabilitation. Femoral head necrosis induced by large doses of steroid pulse therapy in SARS patients was not progressive and was partially reversible. | Peixun Zhang Jia Li Huixin Liu Na Han Jiabao Ju Yuhui Kou Lei Chen Mengxi Jiang Feng Pan Yali Zheng Zhancheng Gao Baoguo Jiang | 2020 | Bone Research2020,8,1: | 8
Surface modification with ionic liquid for efficient CsPbI2Br perovskite solar cells显示文摘The presence of numerous trap states on the perovskite surface severely affects the performance of inorganic CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite solar cells.Surface modification has been proven to be an effective strategy to passivate the surface trap states of CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite. However, most modifiers behave high volatility and insulation, not enough to further develop the CsPbI_(2)Br solar cells.Herein,an ionic liquid of 1-viny-3-propionate ethyl imidazolium chloride([PEVIM]Cl)is applied to modify the CsPbI_(2)Br film surface, yielding a compact film with enhanced crystallinity. The surface trap states of CsPbI_(2)Br film are effectively passivated via the interaction between carbonyl group of[PEVIM]Cl and uncoordinated metal cations of CsPbI_(2)Br perovskite, leading to charge recombination suppression and charge transport enhancement.Consequently, the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of[PEVIM]Cl modified CsPbI_(2)Br device is obviously enhanced from 12.49% to 14.19% with an improved open-circuit voltage of 1.160 V.Moreover, the non-encapsulated device presents excellent thermal stability, still maintaining 91%PCE when heated at 85℃ in nitrogen atmosphere for 360 h.Meanwhile, the non-encapsulated device degrades only 11% PCE after stored at 50% relative humidity for 960 h.This simple and efficient approach provides a promising direction to fabricate high-efficiency and stable inorganic perovskite devices. | Xingyu Pu Jian Han Shuangjie Wang Hui Zhou Qi Cao Jiabao Yang Ziwei He Xuanhua Li | 2021 | Journal of Materiomics2021,7,5: | 3

Responses of Soil Bacterial Diversity to Fertilization are Driven by Local Environmental Context Across China显示文摘Soil microbial diversity is extremely vulnerable to fertilization, which is one of the main anthropogenic activities associated with global changes.Yet we know little about how and why soil microbial diversity responds to fertilization across contrasting local ecological contexts. This knowledge is fundamental for predicting changes in soil microbial diversity in response to ongoing global changes. We analyzed soils from ten 20-year field fertilization(organic and/or inorganic)experiments across China and found that the national-scale responses of soil bacterial diversity to fertilization are dependent on ecological context. In acidic soils from regions with high precipitation and soil fertility, inorganic fertilization can result in further acidification, resulting in negative impacts on soil bacterial diversity. In comparison, organic fer-tilization causes a smaller disturbance to soil bacterial diversity.Despite the overall role of environmental contexts in driving soil microbial diversity,a small group of bacterial taxa were found to respond to fer-tilization in a consistent way across contrasting regions throughout China.Taxa such as Nitrosospira and Nitrososphaera, which benefit from nitrogen fertilizer addition,as well as Chitinophagaceae,Bacilli, and phototrophic bacteria, which respond positively to organic fertilization, could be used as bioindicators for soil fertility in response to fertilization at the national scale.Overall, our work provides new insights into the importance of local environmental context in determining the responses of soil microbial diver-sity to fertilization, and identifies regions with acidic soils wherein soil microbial diversity is more vul-nerable to fertilization at the national scale. | Youzhi Feng Manuel Delgado-Baquerizo Yongguan Zhu Xiaozeng Han Xiaori Han Xiuli Xin Wei Li Zhibing Guo Tinghui Dang Chenhua Li Bo Zhu Zejiang Cai Daming Li Jiabao Zhang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,5: | 1
Potential Treatment of COVID-19 with Traditional Chinese Medicine: What Herbs Can Help Win the Battle with SARS-CoV-2?显示文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been successfully applied worldwide in the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).However,the pharmacological mechanisms underlying this success remain unclear.Hence, the aim of this review is to combine pharmacological assays based on the theory of TCM in order to elucidate the potential signaling pathways, targets, active compounds, and formulas of herbs that are involved in the TCM treatment of COVID-19,which exhibits combatting viral infections, immune regulation, and amelioration of lung injury and fibrosis.Extensive reports on target screening are elucidated using virtual prediction via docking analysis or network pharmacology based on existing data. The results of these reports indicate that an intricate regulatory mechanism is involved in the pathogenesis of COVID-19.Therefore,more pharmacological research on the natural herbs used in TCM should be conducted in order to determine the association between TCM and COVID-19 and account for the observed therapeutic effects of TCM against COVID-19. | Lin Li Yuzheng Wu Jiabao Wang Huimin Yan Jia Lu Yu Wang Boli Zhang Junhua Zhang Jian Yang Xiaoying Wang Min Zhang Yue Li Lin Miao Han Zhang | 2022 | Engineering2022,,12: | 1
Tailoring the mercaptan ligands for high performance inverted perovskite solar cells with efficiency exceeding 21%显示文摘Interface passivation engineering has been recognized as an effective way to simultaneously contribute to the optoelectronic characteristic and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs). Herein, a p-conjugated dual-ligand 1,4-phenylmercaptan(PHMT) is explored to rationally tailor the surface of perovskite film. The experimental and theoretical results show that the PHMT presents planar structure and obvious electron delocalization characteristics, which allow it to anchor on the surface of perovskite with a certain orientation, thereby promoting the transport of interface charge. Moreover, the two sulfhydryl groups in PHMT reduce the trap density of the perovskite film by passivating under-coordinated lead ions.Consequently, the PHMT-modified inverted device based on MAPbI_(3)(MA: methylammonium) achieves enhanced efficiency from 18.11%(control) to 21.11%, along with the ambient stability up to 3500 h.After being placed at 85 °C for 500 h or illuminated for 600 h, the modified device remains over 89%or 86% of initial efficiency. This discovery opens a new window for the choice of passivators to improve the performance of PSCs. | Shuangjie Wang Ziwei He Jiabao Yang Tongtong Li Xingyu Pu Jian Han Qi Cao Bingyu Gao Xuanhua Li | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,9: | 1

Control Effect of UAV Low Volume Spray Technology on Thrips and Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus in Tobacco Field显示文摘[Objectives]The paper was to explore the influence of unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)low volume spray technology on the control effect of viruliferous thrips and tomato spotted wilt virus(TSWV)under different pesticide concentrations, and to explore the effective control nodes and methods of thrips and TSWV.[Methods]According to the occurrence characteristics of thrips and TSWV,the field control effects of 4 pesticides on thrips and TSWV were tested by UAV with the thrips number and disease index as indicators, following the principle of regional and periodic control trials.[Results]In the groups of UAV and artificial prevention and control,4 agents were used alternatively, including 1%emamectin benzoate ME,1.7%abamectin imidacloprid ME,5%emamectin benzoate WDG,and 30%pyriproxyfen dinotefuran SL.There was no significant difference in the control effect of thrips and TSWV among treatment 1(recommended dosage of UAV agent),treatment 2(reduction of recommended dosage of UAV agent by 25%)and treatment 4(recommended dosage of artificial control agent),and the control effects on thrips were more than 83.16%in the 3 treatments. The disease index of TSWV in the 3 treatments decreased from 8.64±1.37 in the blank control group to less than 3,which reached the prevention and control threshold. But treatment 3(reduction of recommended dosage of UAV agent by 50%)did not reach the prevention and control threshold. The disease index of TSWV in the blank control area increased with the increase of the number of live nymphs of thrips, and there was a significant positive correlation, with good fitness.[Conclusions]UAV has a significant impact on the control effect of thrips and TSWV under different pesticide concentrations. In the actual flight control application,it is recommended that the amount of the pesticides is about 3/4 and not less than 1/2 of that of the artificial application. The control area should be extended to 100 m of the ridge of the tobacco field, and UAV is used periodically to control thrips and TSWV for 5 times from pre-transplanting stage to pre-squaring stage of flue-cured tobacco. The control effect is significantly different from the traditional artificial application. | Zefan LIU Dean XIE Jiabao HAN Yanfen XIE Li MA Siyuan GAO Ruiqi PENG Yuting ZHAO Xiangze FU Wengang CHENG Yonghong FENG Yan ZHANG Huaping ZHANG Ying HUANG Leijie DAI Lanfeng WANG | 2023 | Plant Diseases and Pests2023,14,4: | 0
Two-dimensional ferromagnetic superlattices显示文摘Mechanically exfoliated two-dimensional ferromagnetic materials(2D FMs)possess long-range ferromagnetic order and topologically nontrivial skyrmions in few layers. However, because of the dimensionality effect, such few-layer systems usually exhibitmuch lower Curie temperature(TC)compared to their bulk counterparts. It is therefore of great interest to explore effective approaches to enhance their TC,particularly in wafer-scale for practical applications. Here,we report an interfacial proximity-induced high-TC 2D FM Fe3GeTe2(FGT)via A-type antiferromagnetic material CrSb(CS)which strongly couples to FGT.A superlattice structure of(FGT/CS)n,where n stands for the period of FGT/CS heterostructure, has been successfully produced with sharp interfaces by molecular-beam epitaxy on 2-inch wafers.By performing elemental specific X-ray magnetic circular dichroism(XMCD)measurements,we have unequivocally discovered that TC of 4-layer Fe3GeTe2 can be significantly enhanced from 140 K to 230 K because of the interfacial ferromagnetic coupling.Meanwhile,an inverse proximity effect occurs in the FGT/CS interface, driving the interfacial antiferromagnetic CrSb into a ferrimagnetic state as evidenced by double-switching behavior in hysteresis loops and the XMCD spectra.Density functional theory calculations show that the Fe-Te/Cr-Sb interface is strongly FMcoupled and doping of the spin-polarized electrons by the interfacial Cr layer gives rise to the TC enhancement of the Fe3GeTe2 films,in accordance with our XMCDmeasurements.Strikingly,by introducing rich Fe in a 4-layer FGT/CS superlattice,TC can be further enhanced to near room temperature. Our results provide a feasible approach for enhancing the magnetic order of few-layer 2D FMs in wafer-scale and render opportunities for realizing realistic ultra-thin spintronic devices. | Shanshan Liu Ke Yang Wenqing Liu Enze Zhang Zihan Li Xiaoqian Zhang Zhiming Liao Wen Zhang Jiabao Sun Yunkun Yang Han Gao Ce Huang Linfeng Ai Ping Kwan Johnny Wong Andrew Thye Shen Wee Alpha TN’Diaye Simon AMorton Xufeng Kou Jin Zou Yongbing Xu Hua Wu Faxian Xiu | 2020 | National Science Review2020,7,4: | 0

Multidentate anchoring through additive engineering for highly efficient Sb_(2)S_(3)planar thin film solar cells显示文摘Sb_(2)S_(3)is a promising candidate for the flexible solar cells or the top subcells in tandem solar cells due to its wide-bandgap,less toxic, acceptable cost and progressive power conversion efficiency(PCE).However, the poor quality and high trap states of Sb_(2)S_(3)films limit the device performance further enhancement.Herein,we adopt a multidentate ionic liquid, tetramethylammonium hexafluorophosphate([TMA][PF_(6)])as a novel additive to address this issue. The octahedral[PF_(6)]~-contains six different oriented fluorine atoms with the lone pair electrons, which could coordinate with Sb atoms due to the multidentate anchoring. Thus, the high-quality Sb_(2)S_(3)film with low trap states has been achieved. Moreover, the Fermi level of the Sb_(2)S_(3)film has been upshifted, thereby showing an effective charge transfer. As a result, all photovoltaic parameters of the optimized Sb_(2)S_(3)devices are obviously enhanced, boosting the final PCE from 4.43(control device)to 6.83%.Our study about the multidentate anchoring is manifested to be an effective method to enhance the Sb_(2)S_(3)device performance. | Jian Han Xingyu Pu Hui Zhou Qi Cao Shuangjie Wang Jiabao Yang Junsong Zhao Xuanhua Li | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,30: | 0

Tuning 2D magnetism in Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) films by element doping显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)ferromagnetic materials have been discovered with tunable magnetism and orbital-driven nodal-line features.Controlling the 2D magnetism in exfoliated nanoflakes via electric/magnetic fields enables a boosted Curie temperature(T_(C))or phase transitions. One of the challenges, however,is the realization of high T_(C) 2D magnets that are tunable, robust and suitable for large scale fabrication. Here,we report molecular-beam epitaxy growth of wafer-scale Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) films with T_(C) above room temperature.By controlling the Fe composition in Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2),a continuously modulated T_(C) in a broad range of 185–320 K has been achieved. This widely tunable TC is attributed to the doped interlayer Fe that provides a 40%enhancement around the optimal composition X=2.We further fabricated magnetic tunneling junction device arrays that exhibit clear tunneling signals. Our results show an effective and reliable approach,i.e.element doping,to producing robust and tunable ferromagnetism beyond room temperature in a large-scale 2D Fe_(3+X)GeTe_(2) fashion. | Shanshan Liu Zihan Li Ke Yang Enze Zhang Awadhesh Narayan Xiaoqian Zhang Jiayi Zhu Wenqing Liu Zhiming Liao Masaki Kudo Takaaki Toriyama Yunkun Yang Qiang Li Linfeng Ai Ce Huang Jiabao Sun Xiaojiao Guo Wenzhong Bao Qingsong Deng Yanhui Chen Lifeng Yin Jian Shen Xiaodong Han Syo Matsumura Jin Zou Yongbing Xu Xiaodong Xu Hua Wu Faxian Xiu | 2022 | National Science Review2022,9,6: | 0
Efficacy and safety of Weichang’an pill(胃肠安丸)combined with Western Medicine on gastrointestinal diseases:a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of Weichang’an pill(胃肠安丸,WCA)combined with Western Medicine(WM)for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.METHODS:Eight databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database,Wanfang Data,China Science and Technology Journal Database,SinoMed,PubMed,Web of Science,Cochrane Library, and Embase, were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of WCA from inception to 30 September 2021.We independently screened the literature, extracted data, and then evaluated the bias risk, effectiveness, safety, and other indicators of the included articles.RESULTS:A total of 33 RCTs were included in this study with 3368 patients. After analysis,it was found that WCA combined with WM could effectively prevent and treat antibiotic-associated gastrointestinal reaction, functional dyspepsia(FD),irritable bowel syndrome, rotavirus diarrhea(RVD),and ulcerative colitis(UC);no serious adverse reactions occurred. Moreover, compared with the control group, the experimental group showed significantly improved symptoms and some biochemical parameters.CONCLUSIONS:WCA combined with WM for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases had better clinical efficacy than the control group, without serious adverse reactions.Notably,in the treatment of FD,RVD,and UC,WCA improved clinical symptoms and biochemical indicator expression.Nevertheless, owing to the restricted quality and quantity of the literature, the results need to be further studied using high-quality RCTs. | WANG Jiabao ZHANG Lishuang NIU Baihan YU Yajun YANG Fengwen MIAO Lin CHAI Lijuan DING Xinya SUN Yingjie WANG Yujing WANG Lin ZHANG Han WANG Yi LI Lin | 2023 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,6: | 0

Small RNA sequencing revealed aberrant piRNA expression profiles in deciduas of recurrent spontaneous abortion patients显示文摘Piwi-interacting RNAs(piRNAs)is a novel class of non-coding RNAs.However, changes in piRNA expression profiles in recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA)have not yet been investigated. The aim of this study was to identify differentially expressed piRNAs in deciduas of RSA patients.Decidua tissues were collected by curettage from recruited RSA patients and normal early pregnant(NEP)women with their informed consent.Small RNA sequencing was used to evaluate the differences in piRNA expression profiles between RSA and NEP.The present results demonstrated that the counts of total piRNA reads in RSA samples were increased compared with those in NEP samples(0.21%vs.0.11%).Differential expression analysis identified 29 upregulated piRNAs and 18 downregulated piRNAs in RSA samples.RT-qPCR further confirmed that the expression levels of uniq-109625,uniq-89328,uniq-50651 and uniq-4569 were decreased in 8 RSA tissues, compared with 13 NEP tissues.Otherwise,pi-22628 and uniq-173406 were increased in 8 RSA tissues.Based on GO term and KEGG pathway analysis,we speculate that these piRNAs regulate RSA by targeting extracellular matrix component pathway, cell adhesion pathway and focal adhesion pathway.PiRNAs may be involved in RSA pathogenesis by target genes function on adhesion and extracellular matrix component. | JIABAO WU XIAOHUA LIU LU HAN HUA NIE YUAN TANG YUNGE TANG GE SONG LIXIN ZHENG WEIBING QIN | 2022 | BIOCELL2022,46,4: | 0
