1Comparison of survival outcomes between transthoracic and transabdominal surgical approaches in patients with Siewert-Ⅱ/Ⅲesophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma:a single-institution retrospective cohort study显示文摘Objective: To compare the survival outcomes of transabdominal(TA) and transthoracic(TT) surgical approaches in patients with Siewert-Ⅱ/Ⅲ esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma.Methods: This retrospective study was conducted in patients with Siewert-Ⅱ/Ⅲ esophagogastric junction adenocarcinoma who underwent either TT or TA operations in the West China Hospital between January 2006 and December 2009.Results: A total of 308 patients(109 in the TT and 199 in the TA groups) were included in this study with a follow-up rate of 87.3%. The median(P25, P75) number of harvested perigastric lymph nodes was 8(5, 10) in the TT group and 23(16, 34) in the TA group(P<0.001), and the number of positive perigastric lymph nodes was 2(0, 5) in the TT group and 3(1, 8) in the TA group(P<0.004). The 5-year overall survival(OS) rate was 36% in the TT group and 51% in the TA group(P=0.005). Subgroup analysis by Siewert classification showed that 5-year OS rates for patients with Siewert Ⅱ tumors were 38% and 48% in TT and TA groups, respectively(P=0.134), whereas the 5-year OS rate for patients with Siewert Ⅲ tumors was significantly lower in the TT group than that in the TA group(33% vs. 53%; P=0.010). 3Genetic variants in RAN, DICER and HIWI of microRNA biogenesis genes and risk of cervical carcinoma in a Chinese population显示文摘Objective:Recent evidence indicates that dysregulation of microRNA(miRNA)biogenesis is implicated in cancer development and progression.Based on the important role of miRNA biogenesis genes in carcinogenesis,we hypothesized that genetic variations of the miRNA biogenesis genes may modulate susceptibility to cervical cancer.Methods:We identified three single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)located in the 3'-untranslated regions(3'-UTR)of of miRNA biogenesis key genes(rs1057035 in DICER,rs3803012 in RAN and rs10773771 in HIWI)and genotyped these SNPs in a case-control study of 1,486 cervical cancer cases and1,549 cancer-free controls in Chinese women.Results:Logistic regression analyses showed that no significant associations were observed between the three SNPs and cervical cancer risk[rs3803012 in RAN AG/GG vs.AA adjusted OR=1.104,95%confidence interval(CI):0.859-1.419;rs1057035 in DICER CT/CC vs.TT adjusted OR=0.962,95%CI:0.805-1.149;rs10773771 in HIWI CT/CC vs.TT adjusted OR=0.963,95%CI:0.826-1.122].Conclusions:The findings did not suggest that genetic variants in the 3'-UTR of RAN,DICER and HIWI of miRNA biogenesis genes were associated with the risk of cervical cancer in this Chinese population.Jiaping Chen Zhenzhen Qin Shandong Pan Jie Jiang Li Liu Jibin Liu Xiaojun Chen Zhibin Hu Hongbing Shen 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,5:8
4Prognostic assessment of apoptotic gene polymorphisms in non-small cell lung cancer in Chinese显示文摘Apoptosis plays a key role in inhibiting tumor growth, progression and resistance to anti-tumor therapy. We hypothesized that genetic variants in apoptotic genes may affect the prognosis of lung cancer. To test this hypothesis, we selected 38 potentially functional single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) from 12 genes (BAX, BCL2, BID, CASP3, CASP6, CASP7, CASP8, CASP9, CASP10, FAS, FASLG and MCL1) involved in apoptosis to assess their prognostic significance in lung cancer in a Chinese case cohort with 568 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Thirty-five SNPs passing quality control underwent association analyses, 11 of which were shown to be significantly associated with NSCLC survival (P<0.05). After Cox stepwise regression analyses, 3 SNPs were independently associated with the outcome of NSCLC (BID rs8190315: P=0.003; CASP9 rs4645981: P=0.007 and FAS rs1800682: P=0.016). A favorable survival of NSCLC was significantly associated with the genotypes of BID rs8190315 AG/GG (adjusted HR=0.65, 95% CI: 0.49-0.88), CASP9 rs4645981 AA (HR=0.22, 95% CI: 0.07-0.69) and FAS rs1800682 GG (adjusted HR=0.67, 95% CI: 0.46-0.97). Time-dependent receptor operation curve (ROC) analysis revealed that the area under curve (AUC) at year 5 was significantly increased from 0.762 to 0.819 after adding the risk score of these 3 SNPs to the clinical risk score. The remaining 32 SNPs were not significantly associated with NSCLC prognosis after adjustment for these 3 SNPs. 7Efficacy and safety of single-bolus tenecteplase compared with front-loaded alteplase in Chinese patients with acute myocardial infarction显示文摘Background and Objective Previous study showed tenecteplase and alteplaxe were equovalent for 30-day mortality in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. The purpose of this open-label,randomized,multi-center,angiographic trial was to assess the efficacy and safety of tenecteplase compared with alteplase in Chinese patients with acute myocardial infarction. Methods We recruited patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction presenting within 6 hours of symptom onset from October,2002 to March,2004,in 5 hospitals in Beijing. After giving informed consent,patients were randomly assigned a single-bolus injection of tenecteplase(30-50 mg according to body weight) or front loaded alteplase(100 mg) ,and underwent coronary angiography at 90 min after starting the study drug. All patients received aspirin and heparin(target activated partial thromboplastin time 50-70 s) . The primary efficacy end point was the rate of TIMI grade 3 flow at 90 minutes. Other efficacy end points included TIMI grade 2/3 flow at 90 minutes. Safety end points included all stroke,intracranial hemorrhage(ICH) ,moderate/severe hemorrhage(except for ICH) ,all-cause mortality at 30-days,and major non-fatal cardiac events at 30 days. Results Overall 110 patients were eligible for statistical analysis,with 58 patients assigned to receive tenecteplase and 52 patients to alteplase. Tenecteplase produced a rate of TIMI grade 3 flow at 90 minutes after the start of thrombolysis(68.4%) similar to that of alteplase(66.7%,P=1.0) ;the rates of TIMI grade 2 or 3 were similar for patients treated with tenecteplase versus alteplase(89.5% versus 80.4%,respectively,P=0.278) . At 30 days,rates for all strokes were similar for the two groups(5.17% for tenecteplase and 1.92% for alteplase,P=0.62) ;rates of ICH were 3.45% and 1.92%(tenecteplase and rt-PA,P=1.00) respectively. The rate of moderate/severe hemorrhage was 8.62% with tenecteplase and 5.77% with alteplase(P=0.72) ;total mortality was almost identical in the two groups(13.8% versus 9.6%,respectively,P=0.565) while the rates of non-fatal cardiac complications were 10.35% and 11.54%(tenecteplase and alteplase,P=1.0) . Conclusions The efficacy of a single-bolus,weight-adjusted tenecteplase fibrinolytic regimen is equivalent to front-loaded alteplase in terms of the rates of TIMI grade 3 flow,and TIMI 2 or 3 flow,but the 30-day mortality and ICH in both groups was so high that the use of tenecteplase is not permitted in China. 12Self-cleaning property of AZ31 Mg alloy during plasma electrolytic oxidation process显示文摘The rolling of metal sheet often leads to strong contamination of the resulting surface. The present work reports the effects of the surface contamination remaining after rolling of AZ31 Mg alloy on plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO) treatment of the resulting sheet material. Results indicate that most of the contaminants on the surface of as-rolled AZ31 Mg alloy are removed in the early stages of PEO process. The contaminations slightly influence the phase composition of PEO coating. Non-uniform distribution of contaminations results in aggregation of pores on the surface of PEO samples. On the bare substrate the contaminations are responsible for poor wear and corrosion resistance but final PEO coatings reveals similar performance on contaminated substrate compared to the abraded one. 14High temperature oxidation and ablation behaviors of HfB_(2)-SiC/SiC coatings for carbon/carbon composites fabricated by dipping-carbonization assisted pack cementation显示文摘To improve the uniformity and the content of HfBin Hf B-Si-based ceramic coating and alleviate the damage of substrate,and then enhance the high-temperature(1700°C)oxidation and cyclic ablation resistances of carbon/carbon composites,a close-knit double layer HfB_(2)-SiC/SiC coatings with a mosaic structure and high content of HfBwere prepared by a novel dipping-carbonization assisted pack cementation methods(DPC–HS/S).In contrast,a HfB_(2)-SiC/SiC coatings were also fabricated by pack cementation(PC–HS/S).Results revealed that the oxidation and ablation protective performances of the DPC–HS/S coatings were superior to those of PC–HS/S coatings.After 30 thermal cycles between 1500°C and room temperature,the mass gain of the coated sample was 0.78%,and the mass loss was 1.65%after oxidation at 1700°C for 156 h.Moreover,under an oxyacetylene torch ablation for 180 s(3 cycles),the linear ablation rate of the DPC–HS/S coated specimen was 1.62μm/s,which was much lower than that of PC–HS/S coated specimen(3.08μm/s).Lei Zhou Jiaping Zhang Dou Hu Qiangang Fu Wuqing Ding Jiaqi Hou Bing Liu Mingde Tong 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,16:1

20Iridium-Doped 10H-Phase Perovskite BaCo_(0.8)Fe_(0.15)Ir_(0.05)O_(3-δ)as an Efficient Oxygen Evolution Reaction Catalyst显示文摘Designing low-cost and high-performance catalysts of electrocatalytic oxygen evolution reaction(OER)has always been one of the hot topics in current research.Hexagonal perovskite materials show great application potential in this field.Here,we synthesized 5%Iridium(Ir)-doped hexagonal phase perovskite BaCo_(0.8)Fe_(0.15)Ir_(0.05)O_(3–δ)(BCFI).Using the Rietveld method to refine the structure,combining with the spherical aberration corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STEM)atomic imaging,we found that BCFI is a ten-layer hexagonal(10H)structure,which belongs to the Purn:x-wiley:1001604X:media:cjoc202200200:cjoc202200200-math-0001m2 space group.In addition,BCFI shows excellent OER catalytic effect and good stability in 1 mol/L KOH solution,and the overpotential reaches 294 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm^(–2).The reduction of Cobalt(Co)valence state induced by Ir doping significantly enhances the OER activity of BCFI.Meanwhile,density functional theory(DFT)calculations show that the 2p-band center of oxygen(O)in BCFI is closer to the Fermi level than that in undoped BaCo_(0.8)Fe_(0.15)Ir_(0.05)O_(3–δ)(BCF),which is beneficial to the OER.This work reveals a novel 10H-BCFI material with excellent OER performance,and provides a basis for the design of hexagonal perovskite materials in OER and other energy conversion fields.Huimin Liu Qinxin Luo Jiaping Hu Lianwei Wei Wanqun Zhang Hui Zheng Shusheng Wu Kaibin Tang 2022Chinese Journal of Chemistry2022,40,19:0
