| 1 | Validation of clinical significance of examined lymph node count for accurate prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer for the eighth edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) TNM staging system显示文摘Objective: To validate the necessity of increasing the examined lymph node(ELN) count for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of gastric cancer(GC) patients after curative gastrectomy in multiple medical centers of China.Methods: The clinicopathological data of 7,620 patients who underwent the curative resection for GC between2001 and 2011 were included to demonstrate whether the ELN count is indispensable for enhancing the accuracy of prognostic evaluation of GC patients after surgery. After a meticulous stratification by using the cut-point survival analysis, all included 7,620 patients were allocated into three groups as: less than 16(<16), between 16 and30(16-30), and more than 30(>30) ELNs. Survival differences among various subgroups of GC patients were analyzed to assess the impact of the ELN count on the stage migration in accordance with the overall survival(OS)of GC patients.Results: Survival analyses revealed that the ELN count was positively correlated with the OS(P=0.001) and was an independent prognostic predictor(P<0.01) of 7,620 GC patients. Stratum analysis showed that the accuracy of prognostic evaluation could be enhanced when the ELN count was no less than 16(≥16) for node-negative patients and >30 for node-positive patients. Stage migrations were mainly detected in the various subgroups of patients with specific pN stages as follows: pN0 with 16-30 ELNs(pN0_(16-30)) and pN0 with >30 ELNs(pN0_(>30)), pN0 with <16 ELNs(pN0_(<16)) and pN1_(>30), pN1_(<16) and pN2_(16-30), pN1_(16-30) and pN2_(>30), pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(16-30), and pN3a_(<16) and pN3b_(>30). | 2 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 3 | Geochronology, Geochemistry and Tectonic Significance of the Early Carboniferous Gabbro and Diorite Plutons in West Ujimqin, Inner Mongolia显示文摘Early Carboniferous gabbros and diorites are distributed in West Ujimqin, Inner Mongolia. The LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages of the gabbro and diorite samples are 321± 2 Ma(MSWD=0.65) and 319.4± 1.5 Ma(MSWD=0.42), respectively. In addition, new geochemistry data from three gabbro and three diorite samples are presented. All six samples show high Al_2O_3 contents but low-TiO_2 contents, belonging to tholeiitic and calc-alkali basalt series. All of the samples have similar chondrite normalized REE patterns characterized by moderate depletion in LREE similar to normal middle oceanic ridge basalt(MORB). The MORB and PM-normalized trace element patterns show the enrichment in large ion lithophile elements(LILE, e.g., Rb, Ba and Sr), depletion in high field strength elements(HFSE) and distinctly negative Nb and Ta anomalies similar to volcanic arc basalt. Furthermore, as shown in the correlation plots of La/Ba vs. La/Nb, Ba/La vs. Ce/Pb, Th/La vs. Ce/Pb, Nb/La vs. Ba/Rb, and Nb/Y vs. La/Yb, the magma source has underwent contamination and metasomatism from the subduction fluid. According to the Zr/Nb, La/Nb, and La/Ta ratios and the Nb/Y vs. Zr/Y and Sm/Yb vs. La/Sm diagrams, the magma was derived from shallow depleted lithospheric mantle and formed by moderate(5%~20%) partial melting of spinel lherzolites. Tectonic setting discrimination diagrams reveal that the gabbros and diorites display both characteristics of MORB and volcanic arc basalt, which is consistent with their geochemical characteristics. | 5 | Effect of a Traditional Chinese Medicine combined therapy on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis:a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of a combined Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) therapy versus conventional treatment on adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.METHODS:One hundred twenty outpatients with mild and moderate adolescent idiopathic scoliosis were randomly divided into a TCM group(TCMG)and a brace group(CG).TCMG patients underwent Daoyin,Tuina,and acupotomology therapies.CG patients were treated with a Milwaukee brace.Each patient's Cobb angle was measured after 12 and 24 months of treatment,and pulmonary function was determined after 12 months of treatment.Average electromyogram(AEMG) ratio of the surface electromyogram was measured after 6 and 12 months of treatment and followed-up after 18 and 24 months.RESULTS:The Cobb angle significantly decreased in both groups after 12 months of treatment compared with before treatment(P< 0.05).The percentages of original Cobb angle in TCMG and CG were51.4%and 47.8%(P > 0.05) after 12 months and62.5%and 34.7%(P < 0.05) after 24 months,respectively.Pulmonary function significantly improved after 12 months in TCMG(P < 0.05) but significantly decreased in CG(P < 0.05).The AEMG ratio was significantly lower(P < 0.01) and tended to remain at1 after stopping treatment in TCMG,but increased in CG(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:TCM combined therapy can prevent the progression of scoliosis.The AEMG ratio is a promising index that could replace radiography in the evaluation of treatment effect and progression in scoliosis. | Wei Hui Xu Jinyuan Jiang Zhong Ye Shuliang Song Hongquan Ning Xitao Huang Huanmin Chen Wei Pei Jianwei Jiang Nengyi Chen Shao Du Honggen | 2015 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5: | 9 |
| 6 | Expression patterns of the rice class I metallothionein gene family in response to lead stress in rice seedlings and functional complementation of its members in lead-sensitive yeast cells显示文摘Metallothioneins (MTs) are a group of low molecular mass and cysteine-rich proteins that can chelate heavy-metal ions. In this paper,Northern blot analysis was used to investigate the influence of lead stress on the expression patterns of 10 rice class I MT genes (OsMT-Is) in rice seedlings. With the ex-ception of OsMT-I-3b,the data demonstrate dynamic changes of 9 OsMT-I transcripts in response to Pb2+ treatment in rice seedling roots. Of these genes,transcription of OsMT-I-1a,OsMT-I-1b,OsMT-I-2c,OsMT-I-4a,OsMT-I-4b and OsMT-I-4c increased significantly,while transcription of OsMT-I-2a and OsMT-I-3a increased marginally. In contrast,the expression of OsMT-I-2b was inhibited. Pb2+ induced the expression of 6 OsMT-I genes in seedling shoots,but had no obvious effects on the expression of OsMT-I-1a,OsMT-I-1b,OsMT-I-4a and OsMT-I-4b. All the 10 OsMT-Is had enhanced lead tolerance when heterologously expressed in lead-sensitive yeast mutant cells. These results provide an expression profile of the rice MT gene family in response to Pb2+ stress in rice seedlings and demonstrate in-creased lead tolerance in sensitive yeast mutant cells expressing OsMT-Is. | 7 | High Velocity Electric Arc Sprayed Fe-Al-Nb-B Composite Coating and Its Wear Behavior显示文摘A type of Fe-Al-Nb-B cored wire was designed and the coating was prepared using a robot-based electric wire arc spraying process. The Fe-Al binary cored wire and coating were also prepared as comparison. The phase composition and structure of the coatings were investigated using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The coating tribological properties were evaluated with the micromotion wear tester under different conditions. The results show that, although typical lamellar structure was performed for both the arc sprayed Fe-Al-Nb-B coating and Fe-Al coating, the structure composition, mechanical and wear properties of the former are quite different from those of latter. The Fe-Al-Nb-B coating is a typical composite coating, which is distributed inhomogeneously with α-Fe crystalline, FeAl and Fe 3 Al intermetallics, amorphous and nanocrystallines as well as locally existed oxide phases. As a result, the mircrohardness and wear resistance of the Fe-Al-Nb-B composite coating increased significantly. However, in cold regions engineering protection system, the bond condition of rock and concrete surface is easily affected by freeze-thaw cycles, resulting in interface damage, debonding and even supporting failure. Understanding the micromechanisms of the damage and debonding of the rock-concrete interface is essential for improving the interface protection.Therefore, the micromorphology, micromechanical properties, and microdebonding evolution of the sandstone-concrete interface transition zone(ITZ) under varying freeze-thaw cycles(0, 5, 10, 15, 20) were studied using scanning electron microscope, stereoscopic microscope, and nano-indentation. Furthermore, the distribution range and evolution process of ITZ affected by freeze-thaw cycles were defined. In this work, mesoporous carbon nitride sheet(MCNS) photocatalyst introduced nitrogen-doped hollow carbon spheres assembled with cobalt nanoparticles(Co@NHC) is synthesized by electrostatic adsorption. A series of characterizations are analyzed to display the structures, morphologies and optical properties of as-prepared materials. The photocatalytic activity of Co@NHC/MCNS material is evaluated with hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation. The results indicate that 5 wt%Co@NHC/MCNS material reveals higher photocatalytic activity of hydrogen evolution rate of 3675 μmol/g with 4 h reaction time, which is 159 times than that of pure MCNS material. The carbon material with excellent charge transport properties can effectively accelerate the charge transfer from ultrathin MCNS to cobalt nanoparticles. The goal of improving the photocatalytic performance of Co@NHC/MCNS material is achieved. | 17 | Enhancement of the Photocatalytic Oxygen Production by Tantalum Nitride Supported Fe Atom Embedded N-Doped Graphene Oxide显示文摘Energy crises and environmental pollution have become urgent problems with human civilization development.Photocatalysis technology is a green method to deal with these challenges.The key to improve photocatalytic efficiency lies in the effective separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs.In this work,we designed the Fe atom embedded N-doped graphene oxide(Fe-NGO)supporting on tantalum nitride(Ta_(3)N_(5))catalyst,which was employed to improve the photocatalytic oxygen production activity.The oxygen production of 5 wt%Fe atom embedded N-doped graphene oxide supporting on tantalum nitride(Fe-NGO/Ta_(3)N_(5))was 184.7μmol·g^(-1),about 3.5 times higher than that of the pure Ta_(3)N_(5).The introduction of the cocatalyst Fe-NGO acting as an electron conductor in the Fe-NGO/Ta_(3)N_(5) accelerates the carrier migration of Ta_(3)N_(5) and further enhances the photocatalytic oxygen production activity.N-doping increases the conductivity of graphene oxide(GO),and Fe atoms are used as the reactive sites to promote the combination of electron and sacrificial agent in the system.This work may provide insights into the research of new carbon. | Hanxiang Chen Jia Yan Zhao Mo Jinyuan Liu Xianglin Zhu Huaming Li Hui Xu | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2023,41,3: | 0 |
| 18 | Availability growth models and verification of power equipment显示文摘The general availability growth models for large scale complicated repairable system such as electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are presented. The calculation formulas for the maintenance coefficient, mathematical expressions for general availability growth models, ways for estimating, and fitting on checking the parameters of the model are introduced. Availability growth models for electric generating units, power station auxiliaries, and transmission and distribution installations are given together with verification examples for availability growth models of 320–1000 MW nuclear power units and 1000 MW thermal power units, 200–1000 MW power station auxiliaries, and 220–500 kV transmission and distribution installations. | 19 | Refractory black carbon aerosols in rainwater in the summer of 2019 in Beijing:Mass concentration,size distribution and wet scavenging ratio显示文摘Black carbon(BC)aerosols in the atmosphere play a significant role in climate systems due to their strong ability to absorb solar radiation.The lifetime of BC depends on atmospheric transport,aging and consequently on wet scavenging processes(in-cloud and below-cloud scavenging).In this study,sequential rainwater samples in eight rainfall events collected in 2 mm interval were measured by a tandem system including a single particle soot photometer(SP2)and a nebulizer.The results showed that the volume-weighted average(VWA)mass concentrations of refractory black carbon(rBC)in each rainfall event varied,ranging from 10.8 to 78.9μg/L.The highest rBC concentrations in the rainwater samples typically occurred in the first fraction from individual rainfall events.The geometric mean median mass-equivalent diameter(MMD)decreased under precipitation,indicating that rBC with larger sizes was relatively aged and preferentially removed by wet scavenging.A positive correlation(R2=0.73)between the VWA mass concentrations of rBC in rainwater and that in ambient air suggested the important contribution of scavenging process.Additionally,the contributions of in-cloud and below-cloud scavenging were distinguished and accounted for 74%and 26%to wet scavenging,respectively.The scavenging ratio of rBC particles was estimated to be 0.06 on average.This study provides helpful information for better understanding the mechanism of rBC wet scavenging and reducing the uncertainty of numerical simulations of the climate effects of rBC. | Shandong Lei Baozhu Ge Hang Liu Jiannong Quan Danhui Xu Yuting Zhang Weijie Yao Lu Lei Yu Tian Qi Liao Xiaoyong Liu Jie Li Jinyuan Xin Yele Sun Pingqing Fu Junji Cao Zifa Wang Xiaole Pan | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,10: | 0 |
